Although she already beat me to the punchline, I met the most awesome yesterday. We have so many interests in common, that I felt we clicked right away. She is as sweet and pretty as her drawings~. Just like all my other friends, she is totally in this relationship for the benefit of my fat cat.

We kinda already knew each other without knowing each other. Yes, it's as confusing as it sounds. But at least it was embarrassing for her and not me, since I already went through that once. [Coming to class the next session and realizing it was *Ecthelian you were chatting up was awkward for like 20 seconds, until we were both like "LET'S DRAW NAKED MEN." Naked men brings everyone together.]

If I were to take bust/head shot commissions, would anyone even be interested? Not to say any of this is definite, I'm just curious about demand. What do other (admittedly more awesome) artists around here charge for color busts? Is my work worth an equal or lesser value? Is soylent green really made of people?

Also, I'm pants at tutorials, since I never really paint with the same technique every time. However, if I were to post a file that showed the stage by stage application of color, what program (Photoshop vs. openCanvas), coloring technique/method, or subject matter would be the most helpful for you fellows?

They really made me shake my ass for it this time around. Unlike when I was accepted my senior year in high school, I had to write three essays, send a portfolio, and sacrifice the blood of one gay emu.

I should be staking claim by the end of December. I'm not sure what I'm transferring in as, since not all of my credits from the University of Tennessee will carry over.

For coloring, my brush settings really remain static throughout the process. I may change the opacity or pixel size [dur, no shit], but I don't swap between brushes or use tools like smudge to blend my colors.

I select the brush tool, load the "Watercolor Loaded Wet Flat Tip," change the opacity to 55% and the flow to 75%, and stay that way. To blend from one color to another, I ride the eyedropper tool. The "Hard Round" brush can be used for precise detailing, and change the eraser's settings to any watercolor for loose outlines.
