Hey everybody,

It's been a while so I thought I'd update you! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays, everyone! May you eat lots of sexy turkey and have some super duper sexy cake!

It's crazy how it's that time of year again. Oh yeah, and the decade is almost over!!! How crazy is that? Geez, I remember when this decade first started. I was a fifth grader about to go to middle school. President Clinton was just about to leave office. The 90s were still very fresh on my mind. Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, N Sync, and The Backstreet Boy were still popular. The 2000 Presidential Election was just about to get started. Then the next year, Aaliyah died and then 9/11 ( Which I remember everything that happen to me that day ). Then the war in Iraq, so on and so forth, and here we are to 2009. Wow, its crazy how time flies!

On the art front, I've been procrastinating a bit. I redid If U Seek Amy and have some other deviations that I'm eventually going to submit, but I don't know exactly where to go with my art. I've been drawing by hand and then trying to ink it digital with the tablet. Sometimes it turns out beautiful other times not so much. I have to keep working at it and try to see what works best for me.

Yes I have more fan art coming up like some Sailor Moon, Girls Bravo, possibly some Dragon Ball Z. I know I want to do some more Final Fantasy artwork too. I think I want to some art trades, commissions, and some requests. I have one thing to do for my friend Rob

, but other than that I'd love to do artwork for other people. I'd probably limit it to five requests though, so I don't get overwhelmed.

Anyway I'm about to submit my 200th deviation, which is really crazy. I've submitting deviation since 2007 and in 2009 I finally reach 200! I feel like its a very big accomplishment.

I'm also getting inspired from all sorts of places after going through a short dry spell. From music, katy perry, britney spears, and other people like lady gaga and la roux. It feels like old times again.

and I hit 4,000 page views earlier this week. Thanks to everybody who's supported my art thus far!

A couple of projects I'm working on. 3OH3 Wallpaper, More Tahoe Terra artwork as well as some fan art. I also want to draw something completely realistic using my tablet, that would be fun. Maybe even some Final Fantasy Fan Art.
And the return of the watchers/ friends/ followers section! YAY

I got a new Toshiba Laptop! YAY!

It has Vista on it, which is ok. They're about to come out with a new operating system anyway, so I'll keep you posted on that.

I also got a tablet! YAY! I've been wanting one for a number of years, and it works wonderfully. I'm still getting use to it though.

It's great for drawing like character designs and comic stuff. I just printed out Beautiful and Dirty Rich today and it looks so professional. Just like a comic art instead of a sketch. It's wonderful

Now on to the bad. My mom and I aren't getting along. I don't feel like talking to her about stuff anymore cause she can be controlling and manipulative. She can also be quite selfish at times. We're not really getting along. I'm really just waiting to move out.

It's like sometimes no matter how hard you try you just don't really get along with people and thats the situation that I'm in now.

it sucks, but its life.

Anyway since I have a tablet now, I can do all sorts of art!

I think I might want to concentrate on fan art and maybe some wallpapers or something.
I know I'll also be working on more artwork for my comic now that I have a tablet.

so it's been a while since I've posted anything on DA. Well the reason is partially because for the majority of this year including this summer I've been in one of the worst creative dry spells I've ever experienced since I started drawing in the 6th grade.

Which really says a lot since I'm now a sophmore in college.

even dA is not really inspiring that much and on top of other things I'm trying to get stuff straight for the fall so I can get back into school.

There is some stuff that hasn't been scanned yet, when I'm going to scan it, I don't know.

Don't worry though, there will be some new stuff soon.

In the meantime, I can clean out the old stuff and only leave the deviations that I think are still good to this day.

I'm tired of b.s. silliness lameness everything-ness.

I'm just looking forward to 2009. New president. New artwork. As soon as I get my new computer I'll be posting new artwork. Genesis and Giuseppe are looking stunnin' and I did some artwork while I was on vacation in Durrty Durham (the crusty reject cousin city of Greensboro).

Yes and am I GREEN today...something something I don't care. THANK YOU DELL commerical...XD ok so I'm just ranting at this point. And yes its REALLY going to be a MERRY CHRISTMAS now that every one is just Keitaro from Love Hina. DIRT POOR!! DAMN Recession sucks. It sucks BAD. Well at least everything is super duper cheap. I'm going over to Hong Kong no better yet Shibuya, anyone with me?

Although summer ended about two weeks ago when we started for classes in the fall, this summer has been anything but easy. Let's see how did it start... Almost messed up everything for summer term because I was not told when tuition was due.

My moms apartment gets broken into. They stole some old digital cameras that I don't use... not so important... oh it gets better THOSE JERKS STOLE MY PSP!!!!! UGH. It was a while before I could save up enough money to get that and they stole it and the incompetent police force here in GSO couldn't find out who did it. (Despite the fact that the perps had made a phone call from my cell phone and we referred the number to the police. [The number was a guy who worked at the Walmart down the road]) Jerks! Ok, so that may come off as a little bitter, but it still makes me mad.

Since mom chose to live on the other side of town and my little brother could not get up. I was about 15 to 20 minutes late every weekend I worked for ALL OF JUNE! Oh that's not all for about the first three weeks of July I couldn't go to work because of continuing effects of my living situation.

After all of that I finally got stuff taken care of for Fall 08.

The upside of all of this is that I still have a job and I've got my own apartment now! WOO!

The more comfortable settings has greatly affected my creativity! So yeah, I have a lot to submit from the summer and new artwork. I'm quite eager to submit new art and see everything thats changed here at dA

It's time.

I need to upgrade everything in my life right now.

What do I mean by that? I mean I need to grow a little more in my design and art skills.

I've been working on drawing anime/manga since the beginning of last year. Though I'm struggling to keep my art style on point with traditional anime art styles. You can stylize anything you want, but there is just some stuff that will always been autonomous with anime. Such as very small noses and big eyes.

I've always struggled with how to color my character designs to make them look professional. Though that has more of a potential to be fixed with the help of tutorials on the web.

Ugh

In other news I'm redesign my websites and other outlets of creativity, so be on the look out for some new stuff.

And And And that's not all... We have the return of the info & friends section in my journal! Woo Hoo!

At the end of last year because of first semester, work, and other stuff my artwork and creativity suffered greatly. Now that I'm adjusted to the college lifestyle (and I'm taking less classes) I feel that it's not going as hard for me to create art.

First semester was very stressful especially right after midterms. O.o Life just got real crazy, I had a million and one projects to do and group projects, too.

I was very happy when I finished them all with hurting anybody

lol

It's good though.

I have all sort of ideas for new artwork and I'm getting inspiration from the strangest places these days. I'm just happy that my creative streak has finally returned.

Anyway off to comment on artwork!

So I just posted one of the preview promos for my manga.

It didn't take that long to actually draw it, but it took a while to edit and polish it up to get the final product.

Hopefully, if my schedule stays the same, then it will be in full production later this year.

Computer Update
Yes my computer is finally working again. No thanks to Comp USA.
I had to order recovery discs for my computer. Appearently, it wasn't the hard drive, the OS as a whole had been corrupted. Now that the computer works hopefully there will be more artwork to come.

Artwork Update
I found some more old photography from 05, that I'm going to upload and I did some drawing this past weekend, one of which was Harajuku Honey. A lot of the artwork is very similar to Harajuku Honey in the sense that my anime style as a whole has greatly improved. I also did about two pictures for my comic. I'll be uploading more stuff in the coming days, stay tuned. =3

You know, my computer has really bad timing when it comes to stuff like this. This always happens when I have a lot of stuff going on.

Hopefully the people at Comp Usa will be able to take everything off the old hard drive and put it on the new one. Thank God, the thing was still under warranty O.o

This will probably mean no new art for a while.

Hopefully it won't take the part a long time to ship to my house.

Anyway let's hope that I don't have to get a new computer.

Yesterday I official moved onto A&T's [The university I'm going to] campus

It's great.

The people are very nice and everybody is extremely friendly.

Hopefully I'll meet more people and makes tons and TONS of friends =3

In other news I'm hoping to expand the mediums that I use to create artwork. I want to draw prismacolor markers and watercolors. Maybe even some oil painting too.

Anyway I'll keep ya posted.

So summer is going great for me.

I've been spending a lot of time with my friends and family.

I've also had to work.

Life is real good right now

I relaunched my original art gallery, My Carolina Alcove and it looks fantastic. It has way more modern feel to it now, it's old theme was way more rustic.

I'm also working as a freelance graphic designer for my moms church. They want me to design logos and websites for them O.o'. Well at least I get paid for my work, so I'm content with that.

I'll also be getting a new digital camera sometime in the end of August. It will be a real outlandish Fuji Film digital camera. It's promising to revolutionize my photography

Even though I've been doing more stuff and getting out of the house more, my artwork has suffered quite a bit this summer.

What I mean by that is there have been large periods where I'm either disappointed with what I draw or I just don't draw at all. That problem has only been solved recently because I just brought a better quality paper to draw on. Now I'm drawing 5 and 6 different pieces a day. XD

Tahoe Terra III [My Manga] is coming along great, I did the preempt to the first episode the other day. I might redraw it and do some editing in photoshop and I'll be posting more TT3 artwork pretty soon.

Other than that not too much is up with me, so yeah...
