Mario: Practically the mascot of Nintendo, Mario is surprisingly laid back. That's not to say that he's lazy, he's very responsible and is a very strong fighter.

Luigi: Luigi is Mario's younger brother, which means he gets less attention than him. Though he tries desperately to be as well appreciated, he never gets the same treatment as him.

Bowser: Mario's archenemy, Bowser signed a contract stating that he will not do any evil-doing while he is living at the mansion. He is the largest smash brother and is quite formidable.

Peach: Princess of the mushroom kingdom, Peach loves to tease Mario. She also doesn't mind being saved all the time, contrary to Zelda.

Wario: Mario's annoying cousin, Wario actually takes pride in being disgusting. Every morning, he stuffs his face with garlic contrary to brushing his teeth.

Yoshi: An adorable dinosaur, Yoshi can't speak any English. On the other hand, he's surprisingly strong and is very nice to everyone.

Link: A swordsman from Hyrule, Link is deeply in love with Zelda. He doesn't really trust Ganondorf, but tries to just ignore him when he's around.

Zelda: Link's lover, Zelda is tired of being treated like the damsel in distress. She wants to prove to Link just how capable she is of saving herself.

Ganondorf: An evil king from Hyrule, Ganondorf signed a contract stating that he will not do any evil-doing while he is at the mansion. Link still doesn't trust him, however.

Toon Link: A swordsman from Outset island, Toon Link likes to pretend that he's very brave, even though he's scared easily. He likes to climb things and hangs out with the Ice Climbers doing such climbing.

Pikachu: An electric Pokemon, Pikachu can't speak a lick of English. Although he somehow understands what everyone says and responds with a nod of the head.

Red: A trainer from Pallet Town, Red want to be treated like an adult by the other smashers. Although, with Lucas hanging around him all the time, he still looks like a little kid. He also hates it when people call him "Ash."

Jigglypuff: A balloon Pokemon, Jigglypuff can't speak any English. She can get pretty moody at times, so it's best to stay away from her when she starts to get angry.

Lucario: An Aura Pokemon, Lucario can sense the aura of anyone nearby, so it's impossible to sneak up on him. He is almost constantly meditating, and his favorite food is chocolate.

Fox: An Anthro space fighter, Fox is very good at coming up with battle plans. He is always extremely serious, and everyone is always trying to get him to laugh.

Falco: An Anthro space fighter, Falco is a little more laid back than Fox. Although he is Fox's best friend, he tries to hang out with people from different games.

Wolf: An Anthro space fighter, Wolf is Fox's archnemisis. He signed a contract along with Bowser and Ganondorf, but now regrets it now that he sees himself working alongside Fox.

Kirby: A gluttonous extra-terrestrial, Kirby loves cooking. He was going to be the Mansion's chef, but couldn't since he ate everything immediately after cooking it.

King Dedede: A hammer-wielding king, King Dedede didn't have to sign the contract since he already turned from bad to good. He has formed a friendship with Kirby surprisingly quickly, and is always being admired by the Ice Climbers.

Metaknight: An accomplished swordsman, he is often training with Link, Marth, and Ike. He also tries to train Kirby, but Kirby just eats everything before the lesson is finished.

Ness: A psychic boy, Ness has practically mastered his powers. He is seen with Lucas a lot, trying to teach him how to use his powers, and is jealous of Red seeing how Lucas wants to hang out with him more.

Lucas: A psychic boy, Lucas is still trying to master his powers. He trains with Ness, but is constantly around Red, whether Red wants him around or not.

Olimar: A space captain from Hocotate, Olimar's battle tactic is brains over brawn. Everyone goes to him for advice.

Samus: An outer-space bounty hunter, Samus is sick and tired of being hit on by the guys. She tries to wear her power-suit around them, but in her zero-suit, she's mush faster.

Sonic: A super-speedy hedgehog, Sonic loves to do everything fast. He isn't too bright, but is rather strong and when told what to do, can be a dangerous weapon.

Snake: A super-intelligent soldier, Snake might just be the smartest character. He has a wealth of explosives at his disposal, and is almost always off by himself.

Donkey Kong: A super-strong ape, Donkey Kong is just learning to speak English.
