Hey guys.
Been a while, eh? I won't bore you with too many excuses, but I'll give you the drift of why this club has been on hiatus with no warning.

I was homeless for a while, then life got better, then I met a great guy and got married and now I have an 8 month old baby girl. The end.

First and foremost: I am so sorry. I never meant to put the club on hiatus like that. A lot of crap just started happening very quickly.

Luckily, it looks like the club is invincible. Even with me gone there's been traffic and notes to join and all kinds of stuff going on!

The next two weeks will be dedicated to getting everything back up to date. Adding new members and art and all that good stuff.

FANFICTION HIGHLIGHT! [link] Go read this! It's only a chapter long, but it's one of the saddest, most beautiful Edd/Eddy fics I've ever read.

Featured Deviations will now be changed on a BI-WEEKLY schedule (every other week) and the theme will be updated in this journal, Featured Deviations. To start (just for the first line-up) the lineups will be Admin Picks. After that there will be a line-up with club deviations to choose from in the Featured section, a theme in this journal and a vote for the winner of the line-up from none other than ... you guys!

FINISHED the process of dividing the club's deviations up by ARTIST USERNAME. Featured Deviations are decided by newest submissions... for now. To see ALL Club Deviations go to the gallery and hit "BROWSE" if you don't want to browse by member.
Any member with only one deviation in the gallery will be put in a folder with other members with the same. Once you submit another deviation, you'll get your own folder.

SIDENOTE: Tell me how you like the new setup of the gallery. If it's not something you guys like, it'll go back to the way it was.

And a huge thanks for all the participation in this! It seems like we all have a lot in common with each other and the Eds! Remember: This activity isn't closed! You can not me with your answer at any time!

Oi, boys and girls!

I was cooking the other day and I thought of something: The way I'm a lot like each Ed in different ways.

Tell me how you're like each Ed (or other EEnE characters) in a note with the subject line "Just Like Ed" and I'll put it up. I'm going to start a list. This should be fun!

Ed: I LOVE comic books, horror movies and chickens! I'm a vegetarian.
Edd: I'm a certified genius (not as cool as it sounds), an artist of a million different medias (), an OCD clean freak and I'm sarcastic as hell.
Eddy: I'm an ass. AND SHORT! (5'0 and I'm 19 XD)

Ed: I'm often off in my own little world, I love comics and monsters, I'm loyal, and I'm the older sibling (I even have a little sister named Sara - only without the "h").
Edd: I'm considered a "genius" by many of my peers, I'm obsessive-compulsive (I'm better now than I used to be), I love books/libraries, sometimes I speak in Shakespeare, I tend to be shy, I'm sarcastic, and when I was younger I also had a gap between my two front teeth ^^ I'm the most like Edd out of all three; one time I wrote about four pages of how I'm like him (I know, I'm insane).
Eddy I'm sometimes misunderstood; I tend to want to think/speak vulgarities (though my friends/peers would say otherwise); I love music records and lava lamps, and though I may not always openly display it, I love my friends.

I am the most like Ed, thus why he is my favorite: I love comic books, cartoons and I love to draw. Also, I'm almost always happy. I'm kind of nieve (but certainly not stupid) and I tend to not notice or ignore things that make me unhappy. I have the feeling that Ed is the same way. Oh, and I love chickens. They walk silly and they taste great.
Edd: I play guitar (he plays that doo-hicky from time to time), I'm an A student, I have no athletic ability what-so-ever and my dialect is coated in sarcastic wit.
Eddy: I'm short and I'm kinda frugal. I also get all these crazy ideas for short films and projects that my best friend and I can do in the face of boredom. None of them are money related however.
Nazz: Somone said I looked like her once when my hair was shorter...
Sarah: Nothing in common but the name (Give or take a slient "h")

I think i'm Ed and Edd...
I love comics, monsters and i'm sarcastic >>D

Ed: I love sci-fi and am a real movie nut! And I can be random. I'm bright, but...

Clarification

For those who were confused to as if "Best Day Edder" was the last episode, here are Raven's words from her most recent journal:

Okay... SO, I didn't post a journal about the marathon and premiere of the last ep of the series. Which I AM a jackass for. BUT I've been too busy WORKING ON THE MOVIE so have some pity!

Anyway, in the wake of the marathon/last episode premiere, there are people asking me and the studio questions.. since there's a lot of conflicting info out there.

"A Fistful of Ed" IS the last episode of the series... as it stands. There is a half hour special called "The Eds Are Coming, The Eds Are Coming" which will be aired as part of the CN Invaded promotional stuff. It is NOT considered part of the series, just like the holiday specials are not really a part of the series. Which is probably good since it gives those who hated the cherub versions of Jimmy and Sarah in the V-day show a good excuse to insist they never existed. Ha ha ha.

As for season 6:

Cartoon Network decided to let us do a movie INSTEAD of season 6. The movie, although only 90 minutes or so, basically IS season 6. Which is why in San Diego (at Comic Con) Danny told everyone we were green-lighted for season six, because it wasn't until we all came from San Diego that plans got changed around a bit.

However, as we already know, the end doesn't necessarily have to be the end. Remember back when "Take This Ed and Shove It" was the "last episode ever"? It was due to fan response that CN asked AKA for more episodes... Now... We've already gotten TONS of email asking us not to cancel the show. But, WE (AKA) can't really do anything about it. My advice to anyone worried about saving the show is to contact the folks who can do something about it--namely CN.

There is an address to contact them at but I'm not exactly sure what it is. i'll double check with Dan, our producer tomorrow and update this journal with an address that you guys can use to ask CN to keep the show going.

Of course, if you want to send AKA some good ol' fashioned "praise" then by all means e-mail the studio at yak@akacartoon.com. We're interested in what you guys say so drop us a line.

Things are very different now, than a few months ago.
