Life isnt doing so well

I have applied for 2 jobs, but that will only be part time in an attempt to acquire some money to help pay off my bills. They are only looking for parttime/weekends only kind of thing. X_X

I am thinking the jewelry thing is kind of a bust, no takes, nothing.

I really need to stop being so optimistic when I do things because I always end up disappointed.

But regardless this is a time where I am in desperate need of cash, My bank account is slowly running outta money so I am at the point of either

A: Auctioning off originals of my art again

B: Creating fanart/ OC custom jewelry of whatever the client wants.

C: an Art Commission Auction for a 11" x 14" piece( and yes I am working on the commissions I owe atm and those are normally 9" x 12" )

D: If you guys have any ideas lemme know.

I feel really bad for I have never been in this situation before where I have been such low on cash and attempts previous have not worked. If anyone else has thoughts/concerns ideas lemme know asap.

So my car died today, after I spent just about over 700 dollars to get my car towed and a new battery only to find out the battery wasn't the problem.. it was the spark ignition ( the part that starts the engine )

and I am already broke as hell... so I am going to do a little event to help raise some money as I am currently unemployed and have more bills coming in the mail. ( Yes I am looking for a job atm at the same time )

I am calling it the 60 Pieces of Jewelry event.

I am currently making jewelry atm, yes, I believe I mentioned that.. but I am going to be opening an etsy shop and going to be selling them.

They all will be very different ( some have fabric chains, some dont. Some will be long pendants, some will be magnets and some will be RINGS )

Each piece of jewelry will range from 10 - 15 dollars..and the goal is to sell out!

So instead of begging for commissions to try and repay a little of my debt, I thought holding an event as the start of my jewelry line would be fun!

Once my mother gets home I will put up the 1st 20. ( shes a photographer so she could prolly get the best looking photos of what you will be purchasing than what I could do. )

Since Christmas is around the corner ( OMFG AND I TOTALLY HATE IT WHEN STORES MENTION CHRISTMAS BEFORE HALLOWEEN!! X.x ) it would be good to get some early Xmas shopping in!!

Wow, I now have a Bachelors Degree. Guess I am all grownup now!

Edit : okay, so been packing for a week now, but the majority of what I needed to pack is done. Movers come tomorrow. I will be driving back to the Hill Country of Texas Between Sunday and Monday. Where I will be doesn't have internet so idk when I will have internet.. hopefully by the end of the week! But I will be off and on at my mothers house so I can check things via her laptop from time to time.

Its sad I am leaving such a beautiful and amazing City, Denver was awesome and I learned so much here! Now I cant wait for my next adventure! The next course of my life is coming with brand new art and discoveries and lets see if I dont go crazy in the process!! XD

what has come about Onna?!

Life as it will become

Im recently just now getting over the illness that I had... which was a very nasty sinus infection that I had to struggle through when going to my grad presentation.

I AM GRADUATING!!

Which is a mix of emotion and I will not lie. Part of me feels I would love to stay for another quarter or two and kick up my skills near the guidance of my teachers that have made me into the art style that I now have.. Part of me is very very sad that I am leaving Denver. I have become spoiled by the big city resources and how everything is within a quick grasp. But I have made a vow to return to a big city in 6 months or a year. I think going back and permanently living in a small town would kill me.

I am also going to miss my friends I here, it was strange that I had to reach the age of 21 to get friends that I felt completely understood me and I could act as I wanted and it was okay! They acted the same way too!

Its saddening that I am leaving that.. but my friends are awesome and I will continue to see some of them for quite a while!

she and I are con buddies so I will get to see her still a lot which makes me happy!

Ah well. Such is life and that whole.. one door shutting another opening... phrase.. whatever.

Fangirling

Now that I am not as focused on graduating ( god it'll be weird not having to go to classes ever again XD ) I am slowly turning back into Anime and the fangirl nature that I have had to put on hold for a while.

Hey guys, just letting you know that I am graduating! I would be more excited except I SHOULD be bedridden... I have mostly lost my voice, I have gunk in my lungs, hard coughing, a fever and congestion in my face. I feel AWFUL. I absolutely do I wish I could curl up in bed and DIE , but. There is no one here to take care of me and my higher ups felt that I needed to make 1 tiny correction which means reburning and redoing my entire reel, it sucks ASS.

NDK was amazing! I almost doubled my profit from the first time I did an artist alley there last year! Thank you everyone who dropped by, said hi, or bought/commissioned anything!

It was real fun seeing all my college friends young and old drop by and meet some new faces!

I have a really detailed TWILIGHT PRINCESS ZELDA picture in the making ( it was an ink commission but its gonna be beyond that now

and now its to focus on graduating.... hopefully.

Someone heard from a teacher that 3 people from our class were not going to graduate.. one of the girls in my class snapped from the pressure and dropped out of the class and it trying it again next quarter....

I am hoping I am not one of them... but I am confronting the teacher tomorrow about this rumor cause I think this is not cool this is getting around.

Contest Announcement

First off, I begin by thanking everyone who entered. This was a super fun contest to judge and we had so many diverse entries coming from all over Deviantart, some older contestants from previous contests and some new ones. Thank you Thank you Thank you everyone for entering!

The Judging

A repeat from the last Contest cause its still the same as contests go! XD

The entries in this contest were judged by =onnaevilsmith and ( *katakuscythe ) and an anonymous panel of judges on each side. Although the critera used for judging was a little rough, it predominately broke down to four categories: Representation of Character (how true to the original character the depiction was, within the artists' individual style of course), Composition, Artistic Skill, and Background. Various "bonuses" were added to individual pieces after this as well.

This is gonna be done like a freaking Dog Show since I dun talk right and Id prolly trip over myself like George Bush on a Segway.

Somehow when I got bombarded with a worm and some trojans.. ( Damn you Google Images ) and when I got them all off the program I use to log onto the internet says I have to do some critical updates... but Windows Updates says that I am all caught up with my updates!! Wtf!?

is here and she took me to Buckhorn Exchange here in Denver for my birthday. I got to try Ostrich and Elk steaks ( medium rare of course ) and rattlesnake dip. It was really awesome!

WHY?

Nothing against the artist... fyi, I am just... AURGH out of the subject matter. Dear freaking god!

Adjusting to losing a long time best friend.

Anywho. Yes I am doing a little better, been kinda in and out of social interaction face to face since I kinda have been crying off and on throughout the days since we put her to sleep. Ive gone between regretting doing it, and accepting it needs to be done. My brother actually cried when it was happening.. and my mother calls me every now and then crying about how the house just... feels so empty without her cranky ass bitching all the time. She was the matriarch of my family...I got her when I was 7. She was with me through my awkward years of Middle school, my lonely and fucked up high school years.. and when my brother had cancer when I was a senior in Highschool.. she was by my side.

Max ( my 142 lb golden retreiver... no... he was just.. 2x taller, wider and massive than the average golden ) died when I was 19... so out of the original 3 pets all I got left is Fritz.. whos 15... hes healthy.. but I call him "DRUNK OLD MAN" since hes addicted to catnip and just.. staggers like a drunken man when he walks afterwards.

He is so far the least.... issues cat we have had to deal with. Calm, quiet.... drooling.... "TEH SEX!!1" as

calls him from MSN webcam chats long ago. XD

Now? Now I also have to realize I have 2 beautiful boys named CRASH and LUFFY ( DONT JUDGE ME!!!!! ) who need me and will give me love and affection and will be with me for years to come... CRASH has the most affectionate demeanor I have ever met in a cat, and LUFFY just wants to be by your side.. and eat.... and pounce on everything that moves.

I'll always miss her....I'll always feel like apart of my life is missing.... but perhaps now I come to terms with I did the right thing...and she isn't scared or suffering anymore... I can live with that. I loved her enough to let her go.

A Visitor

If you dont hear from me in a while, its cause I am coming to a very rough and hard decision.

My cat Anna, 18.5 years old.. is senile, 3 legged, going blind and is deaf.. and its painful to watch her now...

and they say when you know that time... you know it.. and I think I just am now seeing it.

so I am very upset/devastated I will be losing my oldest best friend within this week..... so... yah..

Edit: She passed away with my mother and brother at her side about 5 minutes ago. The cat back in September you all helped me save by amputating her leg through art auction. Thank you everyone for giving me the chance for having her nearly for another full year. Shes not suffering anymore... and thats comforting.. but its really difficult to type now if you can imagine.. so I'll be off for a little while.

Cookie the dog is fine btw, we are waiting on the biopsy results from the tumor.

So, I had a meeting yesterday with my career advisor and I realized that she wasn't just going to show my Daportfolio to possible clients lookin for an intern/work... she is going to show my DA! O_O!

SUPRISE! You're getting your teeth drilled today!

So I went into the dentist today since I thought part of my filling from an old rootcanal I hadn't gotten the cap for yet... had fallen out.. but it turned out part of my TOOTH came out... meaning that since my teeth ( I had 2 unfinished ) were dead due to the rootcanals, the teeth became incredibly brittle.

I ended up at the dentist office today thinking I was just gonna get a replacement for a cap (( take 10 minutes and I could be out and straight back into class )) but it turned out I ended up getting 6 shots of novacaine into my gums and had both teeth fixed.. so I have two "fake" teeth in their place till the permacap comes in...

and the numbing wore off... I take it back..... getting numbing shots in my gum are more stressful and hurt more than my nosepiercing and tattoo combined! X_x

That whole thing cost me 2800 dollars which was a major OW to my checkbook but I am on a plan to pay it off 75 bucks a month.. so its not too bad..... so far...

Oh lookie lookie! The commission list moved!

What drives you up the wall? What makes your teeth grind and nearly wanna punch babies outta hate/frustration*?

Mine?

I hate the sound of people eating, that slurping smacking sound is just disgusting to me and it is apparently more severe in elderly people... to the point where its made me leave a room once or twice.

MTV or VH1 ..... Im sorry but all those dramazreality shows with skinny high maintenance girls whining about Bob and Jeremy both liking her and her shoe colors aren't the right shade to match her new dog she carries around in her rhinestone purse? Annoying. ANNOYING!!!!!! I usually walk into work and see people watching and go " Stop watching Cancer. "

People that cut infront of you in the airport security line and then take forever to put there stuff on the Xray Machine thats a no brainer right there.....

I wanna get to know my watchers a little better so I am curious of little quirks you guys have. So tell me! Lets strike up a convo here in this journal!

Some of you may have known ( those who know me IRL ) I had been struggling to get a new car since mine is too expensive to maintain ( I got it from my father when we HAD money still.. a few years ago ) and repairs on it are just too pricey... I spend 4 years pestering and nagging my father and ...finally..

I GOT THE CAR IN MY NAME!! ITS MINE!! it took me this long to finally put it in my name.. took me this long to finally OWN a car.. mine! That car is finaly in my name! I wonder how long the novelty of the P.O.S being mine will last before I wanna get rid of it.

What is it that I drive? For those of you who dont know.. its this:

Yes, only mine is dark blue. Thats right folks.. Onna drives a 2000 Mercedes ML430 SUV..... or Piece of shit as I call it since its broken down on me 10+ times in the last 4 years.. but YAY! its mine! Im so happy. XD....

and now to sell it for a more .. ME style car thats certainly cheaper.

My friend has come with an amazing idea that I wanted to see if I could drag anyone from my watchlist over to her journal to check this out!!!

So Onna, asides from this, what have you been up to?

Well, I sketched out another commission and played with my 6" x 6" sketchbook of bristol, two actually of Aash and iCoby ( plz n oone ask about that journal entry, I wont tell you. Thnxs )

I have been watering the 3 dogs ( literally... I take a garden hose and cool them off from the heat ) and cleaning out 8+ boxes full of stuff to either throw away/give away/ keep. Found a lot of my old Ranma 1/2 subtitled dvds, bringing those back to Denver along with a giant stack of my old art. Im talking OLLLLLLLLDDDD~ shit. XD I also was playing with one of my dogs and he lunged forward and accidentally ( and I mean this seriously ) bit me and punctured right above my right hand index finger knuckle... now its hard to bend and type. DAMNIT

Didn get a chance to see Transformers cause my idiot of a brother decided to wait till 8:00pm to try and get tickets for a 9:05 showing.... yah.. he expected my father to do it for him.. that is some other drama that has been going on here I'll talk about somewhere else.. prolly my Live Journal. I think I am gonna try and see it with my dad tomorrow, if he is interested.

When do you return to Denver?

June 28th. Then its work work ( I am canceling one of the days I had said Id work cause of needing as much sleep as possible that night/day ) and work. If I draw more I'll scan it in then! So expect color/inked work to start showing up in a few days.

I got a new monitor. Plugged it in, Tablet died, I mean dead.. dead dead dead gone. I went out and bought a new tablet.....and now my computer wont turn on... I am 2 weeks from classes being over and I desperately need to work on projects and this happens.

A friend looked at it and said he can't tell if its the motherboard that is shot or the power supply.. both easy to fix but still.. *SIGHS* I hope I dont get in trouble with having pirated programs on my computer but I desperately need this fixed....and FAST!! Today has just been a rotten day. ><

contacted [link] and I hope they can help me fix it in a quickly manner! They seem cheap.. 60 bucks per hour.

So this new computer guy is super helpful and going out of his way to do whatever I need to do to fix my computer. We thought it was the power supply that feeds energy into the computer, but when he replaced it with a 60 dollar new one........it didn turn on still.. my heart sank so bad knowing it still wasn't fixed... so Coby Jr ( name of the comp ) is currently in a computer repairmans house waiting for Dell to send the new motherboard ( under warranty ) to him so he can put it in and bring it back to me.. that will either be Tues or more likely Weds.. So much for trying to do new animations.. it'll be near impossible at this rate because a specific teacher who's room I need refuses to let anyone else in that room who isn't apart of the class now. What a wonderful weekend.

So I get a call today and the computer guy had gotten the new motherboard YESTERDAY, but it was a DOA ( dead on arrival ) motherboard and didn work. So he got on the phone with DELL AGAIN, and they are sending another motherboard, powersupply, RAM and CPU so I should be getting it tomorrow.. heres hoping X_X

EDITED: NEW VERSION OF ANIMATION

Its not done yet (obviously) but I thought I would share what I have been working on, I can't believe Ive done this in 2 days.. seriously... I am amused wayy too much by this. Lemme know what u ppl think! I am gonna have it done by .. prolly Thurs/Friday. Then the weekend is ment for rendering my 3D animation I already have rigged.
