But anyway, I am so excited for this weekend. I'm going to London! We are going to be leaving early Saturday morning and going down to Boston to fly out for a 10 hour flight to London and then we get on a train to go to Loughborough University for our sports conference. I'm going to be there for two weeks, and during my 17th birthday on the 13th! I'm so happy I get to wander around London on my birthday. It's kind of my sweet 16 because i never really had one. I am just pumped to go to all the museums. i effin' love museums.

But yeah, I promise you that I will definitely have tons of photography to upload when I get back! And maybe I will be inspired to do some more stuff, considering I haven't uploaded anything in ages.

Also, I think I am going to start doing some contest prizes just to have something to do, you know? Something to keep the juices flowing and my gallery updated. so if you know any contests that need prizes, just let me know!

So, we ended up winning second place in our division. I would be happier if we hadn't lost to a school that has over 500 more kids than we do, who used the same set as last year, and should really be in the division above us. I mean, if you send one school to states 7 out of the past 8 years and they have still to win it, you would think the judges would send someone else.

Once again, I have nothing to say or update about. I am still busy. I am only averaging like 5 hours of sleep a night, but it's all right. I live for this time of year.

One acts competition is this weekend and we are doing really well, we have gotten our set up and takedown time for our set to like 5 minutes each, actually more like 4 minutes when we haul ass. :]
The play we are doing is from this obscure Scottish book of one acts. It's called Cobbler, Stick to Thy Last and it is about a Nova Scotian cobbler who has sent for a new wife because his first one is sick. But his first wife doesn't die so he gets in a bit of a situation with 2 wives. It's really funny and cute. We also have a really good chance of winning apparently, we have had a few of the past judges saying that our set is AMAZING and that the acting is phenomenal. So I am crossing my fingers to go to States, and then maybe we'll head to New Englands! :]

Oh, as for Graphic Design, my design was chosen to redecorate a cafe we have in the school that is open to the public, I am very happy with the design. I'll be sure to take pictures when it is all done.

So. Today is the 25th of February and I don't actually know why that is important.
I know yesterday was 4 months with my boyfriend and I, and we had fun celebrating.

So the fundraising for the trip to England is in full swing and I couldn't be more excited. We are having a community yard sale and an auction on the 28th of March, and other than that we are setting up and planning our whole trip. I know we are going to go see Phantom of the Opera in London at the West End. And we are heading up to Loughborough University for our sports leadership conference. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING. I'm probably going to be headed over there for soccer. But, yeah, I'm pumped. It's like $1500 to go and we are taking 6 people. So it's a lot of money.

Oh! One Acts are back! I'm so excited. I was working on the set like all of yesterday. I can't remmeber the name of the play that we are doing, but I know it is about a scottish cobbler and something about him thinking his wife is dead and he goes out and finds another person, but his wife isn't actually dead. Or something. I don't know. I am running crew again this year. Well, running crew and tech. I'm co-lighting, if you will. :] But I have been busy with that.

'Tis the prom season too. Head of Prom Committee, right here. We have been planning everything.

UGH. I just want to explode. D:

So Valentine's Day is coming up, and for the first time ever, I am actually excited. My baby is taking me out for dinner and to see Pink Panther 2, because he knows that I really want to see it. Then we are just going to go chill out at his house like we normally do. But it should be good.

Also. February 14th is also my 2nd year here at deviantART! I'm excited.

But yeah, I get to design a booklet for a group of teachers for a workshop they are having. I though it was going to be for maybe 40 teachers. Turns out that the first year that they did it, last year, they had over 800 teachers there, and they are expecting more!! It's going to be crazy!

I'm so excited. I have gone almost every year since 6th grade. It's a blast. (except for the three 3 hour rehearsal times each day.)
I get to rock out with my friends from all over the state. I get to play my bass clarinet too! /dork.

oh, and I can't stop listening to Scar Tissue by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and No Such Thing by John Mayer. if you haven't heard either. Seriously, go listen to them. :]

I was going to be leaving for Connecticut on the 27th with my boyfriend, but we decided to stay here this Christmas and head down there in the Summer. It's fine with me. I've finally kicked into the Christmas Spirit though, which makes me really happy.
I'm going shopping after school today to pick up some last minute gifts and some blank CD's.
I had this really great idea for this year. Since we are a little tight with money this year, instead of doing the normal gift giving thing to all my friends, I'm going to do something different. I have, with a lot of trouble, whittled it down to my top 14 friends and I am going to make them a mixed CD type of things with songs that remind me of them and one with their name in it. Just something cute for them. I think I am going to write them a letter and thank them for being my friend too -- I'll probably explain the songs too while I am at it, but yeah. I thought that was the best decision that I have made all year. I'm so excited to deliver them on Christmas Eve!!

It's wonderful too because I got my PSAT scores back at the beginning of this week too. I improved a lot from last year. Last year I got a 54 in Critical Reading, a 51 in Mathematics, and a 52 in Writing. My guidance counselor said that would have amounted up to about a 1570 on the SAT's, so I was happy. But. This year I got a 60 in Critical Reading, a 60 in Mathematics, and a 57 in Writing which amounts to about a 1770 on the SAT's! Which would be higher than any of last year's juniors score by a good 100 points or so. I'll be taking the SAT's in the Spring so I still have plenty of time to try to go for that 1800 or maybe even a 1900. :]

So other than that, Happy Holidays and all that jazz. You'll probably hear from me again before the New Year!

In the past few days, 195 people lost their lives and another 295 were wounded in a terrorist attack in Mumbai. Indian forces had to deal with the attack for over 60 hours. It was believed that only 10 gunmen took part in the the attack.

"By Saturday night the death toll was at 195, the country's deadliest attack since 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai killed 257 people. But officials said the toll from the three days of carnage was likely to rise as more bodies were brought out of the hotels.

In the southern city of Bangalore, black clad commandos formed an honor guard for the flag-draped coffin of Maj. Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was killed in the fighting at the Taj Mahal hotel.

"He gave up his own life to save the others," said J.K. Dutt, director general of India's elite commando unit."

well i really wanted to write this because i wanted to give you an update on my school year this far; and i want a break from my english essay. [hence why i am typing with no capitilization; i'm sick of it.]

but graphic design class is totally awesome, though it is full of nerds. during the time that we were going through the hand book, they kept asking if a lightsaber was considered a dangerous weapon. /headdesk.

but yeah, other than that it is really fun, i know i am going to get a lot out of it.

oh! and we do these strange doodle things were they scribble on a piece of paper and you have you have to make a picture out of it and they are totally awesome, like i am going to scan them and totally use them to colour on photoshop.

Alright, so I am going to start a contest. I have been writing a story with the same characters, and I realized that I don't have any pictures of them. I'm a dreadful drawer so I thought that the DeviantART community could help me! I have a short paragraph for each person. I have two females and two males. You can draw any combination of the four. You can draw one person, two people, or all four. Also, as a new added bonus, if you say it is ok, when I publish my story, I may show the cover illustrators your pictures so they know what to go off of. So your ideas could be published! Credit given in my book, of course.

Also, you may have already scrolled down to look at my characters, and you may have noticed that there are 5 characters. Cinaed is ~Turpitudity's character. She has offered to help with the contest and she is going to be one of the judges so I added her character into the bunch. (Of course, her character isn't in my story so if you have a problem with having work published you could always draw her character)

Well I got on the bus from New York home and we bascially played Mafia the entire ride home and when I got home, all my friends were at my house waiting to surprise me.

First of all, my sixteen birthday, an extraodinary milestone for me, is coming right up. Sunday to be exact. :] I am so stoked. Because guess what else is cool? On Thurday, at 8am in the morning, I am getting on a bus to go down to Brooklyn, NY! I'm going to be staying with a girl down there. It's part of a school exchange program.

So how cool is it to be in New York for your 16th birthday?!

Then again this is coming from a girl who grew up in Phoenix, but hell, IT'S NEW YORK! All the fashion stores, and just the city life. God I miss that. *reminice*

But yeah, I'll be coming back on Sunday the 13th, my birthday.
And even though I will spend most of my 16th birthday on a bus, I'll still be on a bus that was just in New York. And besides...it's a nice bus. :] Cyr bus, exactly, if anyone is familiar with the company.

So for the past two days, all the drama geeks in our area have been at the One Act competition.
And let me tell you. IT WAS AMAZING!

So basically the rules were that there were 9 schools split into divisions. 'A' schools were the bigger schools while the 'B' schools were, yep you guessed it, the smaller schools. We were a 'B' school. Anyways. You had 5 minutes to set up your set and then you did your play, and then 5 more minutes for breakdown. You were disqualified if you went over. After your performance the three judges critiqued you and stuff and then you went back to watch the other plays.

We went first, and we presented 'At the Bottom of Lake Missoula' and we did pretty much awesome. We set up in like 2:30, which was amazingly easy because all our set was just made up of black boxes, screens and stools. THen we made it through the play with only a few minor incidences. Then I think it was '3 Short plays' by....I can't remember. But they were pretty good. The first and the third one were the best. Then there was a play written by a Morse student called 'Midway' and that was pretty good. We ended up becoming pretty good friends with the Morse kids. There was this adorable red-head and we were hanging out for most of the time. (I got his number and stuff) there was also this other guy that was the main character in the play, and he was absolutely adorable. but anyways. 'LeMotif' by Ellsworth was like. OMG. it was absolutely beautiful. The costumes, and the set and the actors were all gorgeous! I was so worried because they were in our division. That was all on Friday night.

We came back on Saturday for the other five schools.

First up was Camden and they did the 'Diary of Anne Frank' which is so totally overdone, but they did pretty well. Their set was totally awesome though. It was like a professional setup. There was like 3 rooms, and all the added details with books on the bookshelves and dishes in the hutch.
to put it into perspective, they had 30+ people setting up and it still took them about 4:57 to get it all set.Then was 'Communication Errors' by Medomick. It was pretty good, they had a few good actors/actresses.

Then we had a break and our group frolicked around Hannaford's for a while.

Then we came back for the evening session. Which first to go was North Haven with an 8-minute version of 'Medea' which I didn't get at all. Then something about the 'Birthday of the Infanta' which was amazing, but sadly the actors spoke in fake accents and it was extremely hard to understand them. And last was the hosting school, Rockland, with 'A Comedy of Errors' which was funny. :]

So after everyone showed, the judges went back and made up awards while all the kids played in the gym. The morse kids and our group had a dance party in the hall. haha.

All in all, a winner was chosen for each division with a runner up.
There were a few other awards too.

Two of our actors made all district.
We also won best ensemble, best live percussion, and something else.... I forgot.

But we also won runner's up.
Rockland won for our division.

But we were happy with best ensemble.

But it was wicked fun, and it is something that everyone school do one in their highschool career.

Talk about multi-tasking. LOL.

So yeah.
I am so proud of myself considering I am one of like 4 kids in my high school that is taking college classes already. And I am only a sophomore. It's wicked awesome.
I'm taking english 101 because I tested out of the course that transitions from high school to college. And let me tell you, it is just like I imagined it. The classroom looks just like I wanted it to, with the tiered seats and everything. :]

It is pretty much the coolest thing ever.

I got lots of goodies, including a new digital camera!
Lots of new stuff to come with that too. Keep an eye out for new stuff.
Maybe even stock. o____O?

But yeah.
I love the holiday season.

So, yesterday we went to see P.S. I love you because It has Gerard Butler in it and I had read the book a few months ago.
But it was sooo adorable.
I mean it was a little long for what was in the book, but it was an amazing movie even if you hadn't read the book. They added an entire other character, but I just loved him. :] You'll see what I mean if you go see it, which I highly recommend....even though Hillary Swank bugs the shit out of me. Besides, she isn't pretty enough to be all over Ger-Bear. D:<
But whatever. Gerry's mine.

Then on the way home we saw some poor people stopped on the side of the road with a flat tire and we decided to go get them some coffee and hot chocolate for the little kids. But after we got them and came back they had already left.
So we got hot chocolate.

But it was the though that counts.

but yeah.
I hope you guys all have fun, and I can't wait to see new artsies on here as a result of tablets and cameras and whatnot. :]
