As some of you might have noticed, I am now nearing my 2000th page view so I've decided to add a little more excitement to it: whoever manages to get a screen shot of my page views as close to my 2000th as possible, will get a full journal feature.

Why as close as possible? Well, I don't really expect the person to get the 2000th page view to screen shot it because they either don't know that they'd benefit from it or didn't realize that they had just made the 2000th page view.

I guess just tell me what screen shot you got somehow but you won't have to show me unless yours is the closest.

The patients were divided into three groups:
-those who received prayers and didn't know it,
-those who received no prayers and didn't know it,
-those who received prayers and did know it.

The people who were to pray were the members of a church in Massachusetts, a church in Minnesota and one in Missouri, all distant from the hospitals.

Nobody in the hospital's crew was allowed to know which group each patient fitted into.

The members of these churches were given the first name and the first letter of the last name of the individual each of them were to pray for. They were all required to include in their prayers "For a successful surgery with quick recovery and no complications."

The results were in the American Heart Journal in April 2006:
-there was no difference in performance between the patients who were prayed for and those who were not,
-there was a difference between those who knew they were being prayed for and those who did not.

Those who knew they were being prayed for suffered significantly more complications than those who were oblivious. This was probably due to the additional stress and consequence - ' performance anxiety ' as the experimentalists put it.

01; The language part of my brain is seemingly more developed than my logic part. I like arts and music (but not drama *shrugs*), language, philosophy, human nature and literature. One the other hand, even though I have no problem with math and enjoy science, I don't do as well or know as much in those areas. I speak English and French fluently and am learning German and Spanish. I hope to begin taking Japanese classes next September.

02; I am one of the three or four founders of a club at my school called Xepher. We watch anime, play video games and lend each other mangas. We're even going to Anime North this year in Mai. We've been going for over half a year now and our website is [link] if anyone's interested but it's still under construction.

03; I have a younger brother of almost two years, our family owns a rescued dog (mut?) and a rescued cat (lilac point Siamese) and we are looking to rescue two more cats (korats). My brother goes to a special school for about six hours spaced-out over a week. Also, my parents are divorced and my dad writes plays.

04; I love to play tennis and I have been doing so ever since I was four years old. There is a court across the street from my house in the park that I can easily access to play at and I am a member of the club there. I also like baseball, dancing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, aerobics and swimming but I hate doing laps and I hate running. I also love to play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution).

05; I love video games and have played an extremely long list of MMORPGS (massively-multi-player online role-playing games) that includes World of Warcraft, Secret of the Solstice, MapleStory, Gaia, Ragnarok, Cabal, Voyage Century, FlyFF, Silkroad, Trickster, and Fiesta. I am still quite interested in World of Warcraft but I don't have the time to play it although I do get around to playing Cabal which I just recently started. I own shelves and shelves of video games for almost every system and one day I hope to count them all. I've been playing computer and video games ever since I was like two and my first fun-based as opposed to education-based video game was Pokemon: Red Version for GameBoy pocket - yes, the black an white one where you could adjust the brightness and darkness.

06; I wish I had more time to do things. I also often waste my time but am more satisfied doing said time-waster than doing something productive which I wish I wish I were doing whenever I am busy doing something important like homework. For some reason the second I finish my homework instead of going and doing that I just waste my night away. I know it doesn't make much sense but it's how I operate. It's as if while I'm doing work, such as writing the grocery list, I think that if I weren't busy I would be doing something productive like drawing or writing or reading or something fun of the sort. It's kind of like I'm in denial that there's no harm in being bored but getting the work done of writing said list because what really happens when I'm not busy is absolutely nothing. I'm either on the internet, playing a game, talking to people, or sleeping. I can't say I'm not satisfied though.

07; I am a great believer in good-doings and my imagination is very active which isn't always a good thing. It takes a lot to anger me and it is very rare that I show this anger (or at least I try my best to hide it, I wouldn't know if I succeed). A few of the things tat really bother me are when people lack respect for others, stereotypes, people interrupting others, racism, sexism, rudeness, violence, and excluding. I believe that there is good in the world but it is also a very horrible place. I try not to focus on this though and am often happy. The last thing I would want though would be for someone to act differently because they are afraid of angering me. I am very interested in human nature and the behavior of others including bad behavior so you shouldn't worry about me getting mad because I probably won't.
