So DA basically has not been working for me for the last year or so...I dont know if it was program glitches or if my computer hated it randomly or what. But I took a break.

I am returning because of an e-mail I received that sparked my interest. So I sat down and wrote a poem for the first time in a long time and here I am.

So maybe it'll stick this time...everything seems to be working so I think I'll give it another go. It's good to be back...I missed y'all.

The glowing stars on my ceiling appear fuzzy and look like they are moving as they fade into plastic once more.
I touch the star on my neck.
For a second I can not remember where the second, older star was left--and then I recall shoving it into the pocket of my favourite jeans. The jeans with grass stains and dirt pressed into them from a night in the forest, and with wax near the knee that reminds me of when I was physically connected with two people whom I love. One that I know well (maybe better than myself) and one that I am just getting to know and more likely than not will never fully know. I am glad that the first and older star is with my favourite, well worn jeans.
A month ago that star never left my neck but now the newer star replaces it. I am not ready to completely give up the old star or the person who wore it, but I know longer need to keep it so near to my skin. They can stay shoved into the back pocket of my old jeans until I need to pull them out again and feel the comfort of a time that isn’t real anymore.
This new star is lighter than the old star--if my hand didn’t automatically touch it so often I could forget it was there. Like I do with the four silver rings on my fingers--the only time I notice them is when I do not wear them.
I realize my new star is the only jewellery that I wear that is not from the same store. I think about whether I like this or not and decide that I do.
The old star is a reminder of the past and the new one is the promise a future and of a change.
The moon is still glowing and I hope it’s going to be one of those days when you can still see it because the sky is so clear. I always find it reassuring that, even though the sun is shining, the night is still lurking, merely disguising itself in tones of silver and white to compliment the blues and yellows of day.

New Years Eve/Day: I spent with and his family. and I had just broken up and I was not a partying mood.

February: I stage-managed A Night At The Palace 2 a vaudville and burlesque show.
I stage-magaged the 2006 North Island Drama Festival. Within that festival I directed Ledge, Ledger, and the Legend. I also worked on the show Jerry Finnegan's Sister, which won the festival. The other show that did very well was Dover Bay's Heart's Dont Actually Look Like This, which later would win the one act festival at ECHO Players. I met my friends and because they were in Hearts.

May: We went to the Provincial Drama Festival in Chilliwak with Jerry Finnegan's Sister.
Prom/Dry Grad...this was fun because I was with .
came home...all kinds of emotions!!!

June: Graduation...joy oh joy. *rolls eyes* The party was fun tho.

July: IBI!!!! CLASS OF 706! I love you guys!!! L.A. FOREVER!!!

August: Ali and I were inseperable.
and I had our double birthday party...it was amazing...so much music, so many people, so much LOVE!!!

September: Yay for being 18!

November: Eric left..oh god my heart was wrenched out of my chest...I miss you bear!

December: Here we are...

RIP to all my wonderful friends that lost their lives this year. There are so many of you...my love, prayers, and thoughts remain with you. I shall see you again some day.

Why dosn't MTV ever play any music? They used to. Now all it is is: Laguna Beach, Yo Mama, Pimp My Ride, Sweet 16, Next, and, stupidest of all, The Laguna Beach After Show. WTF?!?!?

So I went to a 30 Seconds To Mars concert with . It was a good time. Cobra Starship opened and that was cool becuase I got to hear Snakes On A Plane which I happen to love. The other band that opened for them was called Street Drum Corps...they were bascially a Stomp band but man were they good. Pieces of metal, garbage cand, plastic tubs, and some awesome theatricals mixed in with some gas masks and you have a band worth seeing. I completely reccomend them!

Tonight me and my friends, Eric AKA Bear and went to the beach. At the beach there was a parked car with a man inside of it. We sat next to him for awhille and when he pulled out we decided to follow him, we ended up following him all over town for about 3 hours. We actually lost him a few times and then found him. He was obviously drunk or high by the way he was driving. Suprisingly it was the most fun we've had in awhille. Randomness is an excellent, excellent thing. We actually spend in a hour in a parking lot just watching him.

Ok, and I were walking down the street in Vancouver and we passed by the Vancouver Art Gallery. At the moment they are showing an Emily Carr exhibit so they have a huge banner about it hanging up. Underneath that banner a tent was set up and a ceremony was being held about the Grey Cup. There was music, TV cameras, and a ton of people. Now, I really have no problem with football, in fact I really like it. But come ON! Holding a ceremony about the Grey Cup in front of the art gallery...I think thats out of line. But who knows, it could just be me. I'll post a picture of it later in my scraps.

MSN kinda ruined my relationship...it's impossible to tell what someone means on there...Nabil and I got in SO many fights because of MSN mis-understandings! It just adds more problems to the long distance thing...me and long distance...why do I continue to torture myself with long distance realtionships? 1) Luis 2) Nabil 3) Justin 4) Danny...the crazyness just does not end! BAH!

Anyways, the point of this journal entry really has nothing to do with MySpace, MSN, or long distance realtionships. It has to do with the fact that I am actually updating my blog again...so ya'll should check it out...it can actually be quite humourous at times.

About me? Ok, I'm all about not pre-judging. And that means people AND situations. If you have preconceived expectaions of someone or something then you are setting yourself up to miss out on the REALITY of that person or situation. I'm not saying that I never pre-judge but I do try to avoid it. I lived in a dream world for a long time before realizing that I am most happy just being me around people who accept me for the crazy girl that I am.

I think that art is the most wonderful thing in the world. I am constantly inspired as I look around me and I am constantly kept smiling in awe of all the things that this world has to offer. I also believe that we are ALL artists! Any simple action can be artistic. I sing, act, dance, write, take photos, and draw and I often feel at my artsy-est when I'm listening to a song and just ABSORBING it. Art is something that the whole world has in common and eventually it will draw us all together. Art imitates Life and Life imitates Art.

I am PASSIONATE! In all things that I do my passion shines through. Music is something that I am intensely passionate about. I can listen to a song and feel like it's reaching inside my soul. Meeting people who feel the same way touches my heart. Tonight, along with Afshin, I made the decision that my soul IS music. And that's how I will picture it from now on, there really is music inside of me.

The world is a beautiful place, destruction and pain do not change that. Together we can overcome.

Ok...this is a slight rant.

Dont you think that the Pussycat Dolls of today is just a catfight (no pun intended) waiting to happen?
I mean, you take a bunch of semi-famous, kinda-talented, sorta-trashy, super hot girls and put them in a group and then decide that one of them is going to be the "main" girl who gets all the best singing parts, is in the middle of all the videos, and is the center of attention.
Come on...tell me that those girls aren't always fighting...it's even worse than Destiny's Child when they were playing the "survivor" game and voting everyone out of the group.
The best part about that was when they actually released a song called survivor. Oh the little ironys of life.
Anyways, I just figured maybe you'd appreciate that...I'm going to go keep listening to George Michael...Faith is ridiculously catchy (songs with clapping are awesome) ...and I figure since it's pride week I shall listen to as much George and Elton as I want.

Oh, before I go I shall tell you a little Elton story that I have:
The first Elton song that I actually awknowledged as an Elton song was Dont Go Breaking My Heart. I saw it on Much Pop Up Video. Anyways, one of the pop ups said "What does Elton John and tennis have in common?" and the answer was "Fuzzy green balls." So that is my first real Elton memory. Some things are just worth remembering.

I spent a huge amount of time updating my gallery. I deleted some stuff and made all the descriptions pretty. This took SO much time which is probably the only reason that I'm mentioning it here.

Eric came over for dinner and we kept calling mom an Ax Murderer...which we do all the time...but it's still fun. Then we played gophers and fell in the dirt. Mom just rolls her eyes and asks what we've been smoking. So I called Nabil and had him come over and we all went to the beach...it was fun...just wandering around...listening to the 2 of them flirt. Then Nabs and I came back to my place and watched Pretty Persuation (which I saw 3 times today) and it was fun...like old times....weird deja vu feeling tho. lol. I'm really glad he's home...crap I just remembered that he always reads these and now i'm gonna seem all sappy. Well Nabil, I have one thing to ask you: "Do you f*ck dogs?" LOL. Good times. I am feeling pretty content right now...especially considering the fact that I'm at Momma's house...I forgot how much freedom I have here. Today I ran into like 8 people who want to hang out this week plus I have a major history essay to write, history/english to catch up in, music to burn for a play, and a cold to get over. So I'm swamped...oh and there is a feast on tuesday...joy oh joy...lol...actually I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone..and being at the Boschman's after waaaaay to long away (they are my second (third?!?) family).

I remember the first time I ever heard about That 70's Show. I was in grade 7 and my friend Emily had a picture from one of the machines in the mall...you know you get 4 shots for $4 and it takes 4 minutes? Anyways, it was of her and her then boyfriend Micheal (they were just MEANT to be together...lol). And underneath the picture on the white section her sister Kelsi had written "Jackie and Kelso". Of course I was 12 and watched like zero TV...so I asked what it meant...and Emily told me all about the show. I went home and watched it that night and I was hooked...I've now seen every episode except the final one which will air next week. *Emily was also the one who first told me about Friends. I've known both her and Micheal since I was 3 years old*

I have so many fond moments and memories that coincide with that show:

Every morning for about 5 years I would get on the bus and wait about 8 stops until my best friend Kim *I've also known her since I was 3* would get on. And then we would talk about That 70's Show. All our fav. moments...Donna's hands speech got tons of laughs "I have the world's biggest hands!" as did Fez's famous "I said good day!".

I remember years later sitting in my boyfriend Nabil's living room with his sister *and one of my closest friends* Lua and just laughing hysterically over Jessica Simpson's guest appearance *"I DONT LIKE THINGS THAT BOUNCE!"* and her singing a beautiful song and everyone just kind of standing there all "umm ok."

So many times over dinner Nabil and I would look at each other and spout of the famous Laurie line "Burst into flame! BURST INTO FLAME!"

When I started...umm...not doing that thing that they do on the show...the lines would constantly come up. "That was a double degree burn!" "Lets call it 'JACKIE'"

To this day when I hear Space Cowboy, Shake Your Groove Thing, Love Hurts, etc. I think of the musical episode. It was my fav. by far.

When I was 13 and 14 I had the world's biggest crush on Hyde, when I was 15 it switched to Kelso...and of course I always adored *sigh* Casey.

So many times during an awkward silence someone will say "So there's this car...and it runs on WATER!"

So those are just a few of my fondest 70's memories... I grew up with the show and with the characters...so many of the things they do remind me of myself. Their graduation episode comes into my head often lately. Eric went away to Africa on the show at the same time that Nabil went away to Japan...we even broke up at the same time. I am rambling but I feel that I need to do this. The show meant a lto to me...I remember being so depressed that all I had the energy for was watching it...and it always made me laugh...maybe one day someone I know will fall off a watertower...

I feel gross and I have way to much homework to hand in. Oh well...mostly things are well...Rick told me an excellent story the other day...every girl should have gnomes in her hair at one point. Wow...rambling on about nothing is fun
I suppose I should stop typing and go to school...this is an awesome version of this song...but nothing could ever bear Elton.
