i mean pageviews are pageviews. doesnt define who likes you or who cares about you or anything. just numbers of people who checks your stuff out.

also all this about art theft of sketching over stuff. its cool if you want to draw like your favorite artist or something but honestly i dont think they deserve all the bashing that they always get. Unless they only do that and claim that they never had any help
THEN they deserves all the flaming.

can you honestly say that you never traced your fav manga/cartoon/anime/etc and showed it to your friends and felt proud about it? no. you cant. because thats how we learn.

there are uniqueness in everyone but true originality came long before our time. we are all influenced by something and we usually take a bit or a large of their style and imput it out drawings. tracing for fun or to learn how to do certain things are for learning purpose only. not just to gain the respect that would demolish within a second of the truth.

most probable poses or styles have been done.
maybe few artists here have a distinct style over others because they have been doing it for a long time. these tracers are most likely beginners who doesnt really know what they are doing. so in order to better their skills, they trace or eyeball or whatever.

but there are people who know that this is wrong but continues to do it anyway. They dont improve and they even give credit when credit is due. But they continue to do it. FOREVER. i cant or dont really wanna give any names but what do you say to that?

does it even matter giving credit to the original artists at that point?

so which is worse, the people who trace over stuff sometimes without giving credit or those people who make it their style to trace over things. i dont know

now some people say ignorance is no excuse
i agree with that alot. but at times it is really hard to find a source.
and i noticed that very few but still some "famous" or "popular" artists dont give credit to the patterns they use or the original mangaka or their fanart. isnt that not cool then?

i think everything depends on the situation so we should ease up a little.
i think we are all capable of telling a bad situation from just a mistake.

and i realize people would probably go against me in my view but thats okay because its my opinion. its not a fact or anything. just what i thought of after seeing so many art theft related journals. if you care enough to read this entire thing and tell me what you think, id like that. :]
