So the "best" I can do for now- is look/fav or what not, b/c it seems to lock up when i comment, after I comment-- when I'm looking...etc.

And urm... yeah anything that was uploaded from anyone's name that's from the beginning of the alphabet to the letter "s" who's uploaded anything in the past 2 or 3 days-- I'll go back through but *gasp* caught up!
and I'm pretty much caught up on lj too

unfortunately, it seems as good things start to happen, they're followed by depression for me or sadness from friends.
I'm noticing more people I know getting " down" or feeling really upset.
Or things happening to them that just... well shouldn't be. They don't deserve it. And like every time, when it starts out as one person; it ends up being more people... and I feel so helpless-- like I can't do anything for anyone.
Someone I don't know on [link]... someone who's been there for a while made a thread stating she was leaving gaia... and then 2 days later posted why.
She has brain cancer and is going in for surgery and what not... today.
The doctors give her "2 months." She just turned 22.
Then upon hearing this-- I noticed/remembered a friend of mine from gaia-- her mother passed away a year ago... of brain cancer.
Something that shouldn't exist, yet it does. And it eats away and seems to always kill those who DESERVE to LIVE not die... not be sick.
Of course I don't believe the dr's too often-- too often have they been proven wrong-- so I'm more in hope that she comes out of it healthy and a quick recovery-- to return to Gaia... and to her life... and to her friends.

Then there's people here-- as I finally catch up on galleries I notice a lot going through problems. With school, with friends, with family-- with life. And regardless of how well I know you, i feel terrible. That I can't help. That... I donno HOW to help. That' I'm not THERE to help.

Ok so why don't they just TAKE DOWN the anime and movie and game wallpaper section? They're saying that if any of the images you did not DRAW yourself (basically) cannot be used on a wallpaper... ok... so for those of us who cannot draw that well-- urm... say *bye bye* to wallpapers. This means I have to delete all my wallpapers... all the one's that I made are using images... and it's not always EASY to make those-- ask anyone. -_-
I figured they'd do this -_-' and they say that "non payers" don't have a right to complain? Well the payers could complain too-- but I'm sure if they did they'd be told they have no right either.
I'm sorry, but they say Deviantart is like... y'know... supposed to be art-- and when you put limitations on art, that doesn't make it any type of art. Basically they should just take down those sections for crying out loud. Eh ah well... that's what sites are for-- I'll just make my site and put my wallpapers on there -shrugs- And not just mine though, but I'll ask others if they want them up there too (once I ever get my site working)... Ok (a) ... using official images-- if a site was making a profite from using official images, would not that particular place go and sue them? Out of curiousity? I can kinda see where they're coming from, but in the same sense it still ticks me slightly off *sighs* but they did point out a site that does allow it, so that was smart-- good of them. but I accidently closed the window and deleted that entry through cleaning up DA.
I'm down to 170 mssgs... 110 being comments/replies... I've still got to go through everyone's galleries... which is at least... 120-150 people I'm watching...
But that article above, the only thing I have a "problem" is the idea of what's art? And what is considered "non-art" I saw a lot of comments basically geering (spell) towards Anthro art should basically be banned... and even wallpapers if it's anime or something that's not 100% original. Grantide, I know they need to clean up, but there are some people who are *working* on their art or their style... and it may not look the best but they're trying. I mean, I would be really upset if someone pointed to something I did and said that it wasn't "art" or that I didn't put work into it... who's to say I didn't? If I said that I didn't put work into it, fine... but if I put tons of work into it and that's just how my style or my stuff looks like-- is it fair to delete it? or clean it up? No.
I just hope it works out...
Another thing, is I think whenever they plan on making changes, they should link the article to our "hot topics" thing, y'know? Like I heard from OTHERS about the icons in sigs or something... I mean... I donno if it's something they're thinking about doing a major change or something that might turn to "banning people" then there should be a way to let us know-- especially if we can't check DA every day or something so we don't see any important topics on the main page... I never/hardly ever go to the main page.

I haven't really been on DA lately. My moods are every where... -sighs- BUT I do need to catch up I have over 200 journal entries I have yet to read... 223 deviations here that I haven't looked at, PLUS those that I deleted when I was catching up-- I think i'ma delete them all and go through everyone's gallery again (which is about... 150 galleries or so)... Plus I have yet to comment on my livejournal comments/replies... yes... I'm trying to do giftart now.
I drew it a couple days ago-- for those that are watching me/comment-- since I know you'll see it.
Some of you recieved cards from me, so I don't have some for you T_T I gave ya'll the originals (sorry I had to fold them *cries* ) BUT if I get finished in time and have some time, I'll do something for ya'll

My original comment was: Ok so you continue to attempt to make yourself " feel better" by coming back to this "12 year old with a pencil and some paper" who at least is drawing something that they enjoy to do. Practicing and attempting to improve their work. Again, I don't think you understand how to give contstructive critism, because you have yet to do so. All you keep doing is pointing out some "mistakes" in his work that he's attempting to improve. Nor do you bother giving any credit. And what do you mean, "anime lackeys?" People who support other artists are now considered... "lackeys?" People who try to help others are considered "lackeys" now? I'm sure you loved to critisize people like Picasso too, don't you? And congradulations on winning awards... that's good. I'm proud, but you make it sound like (a) anyone who wins awards are suddenly better than everyone else (Which, I haven't checked out your gallery, but I'm sure if you won an award it was for something good... I'm not denying that) and (b) those who don't get awards are suddenly bad artists? By your pointing that out, that's what it comes across as. And then shooting down his comments because of his age? If you have a "right" to insult his work because as you continue to state that deviantart allows comments of all sorts, then so does he. Although, he has no right to bash your work either....

One person, I'm not sure if they're being sarcastic or not, and the other person was kind of rude. Of course I commented on it-- not bashing them just pointing a fact... they simply read the title-- glanced it, and made a remark. Urm. What do you guys think? Bash? Sarcasm? Or both. One of them may have been serious, but I don't know their reputation. With all the "let's go out against anime artists and bash them," I'm not sure if they're serious or not.

I'm noticing more and more anime or anthro artists wanting to leave b/c they're being discriminated against. It's really not fair, and yes I know life isn't fair. But is it fair for an artist-- a creator to get -bashed- or -flamed- simply b/c of their style? no. If it was *bad* art, fine. Constructive critism, or even don't bother commenting!! Don't look at it. If you don't like it, don't look. If it's on the DTF page, and you DON'T like that style-- simply do NOT click it. Is that so hard? Most of the people who get DTF's do not -ask- to get that. Lately all it comes with is flamming or bashing. Instead of respect or acknowledgment for their hard work, or their talent, or their creation~ it's bringing them flamming.
I'm seeing it every where-- people wanting to leave because of this. And you can't always report them b/c *certain* people will do -nothing.- They'll say "ignore them." Well, normally that would help-- but if it's a bunch of them flamming you; then what? If it's a bunch of them bashing you or calling your art trash-- then what? The people I devwatch, I'm also noticing a lot of them feeling they have this... "high expectancy" of art style... they draw certain things for a while... and then they feel like it's hard for them to do anything else without risking being flammed-- or "fear" (of sorts) to submit something that's not "up to par." C'mon. No one's perfect. And shoot, it can be angsty or cute or whatever, if it's what that creator likes to post, then they should feel comfortable enough with posting something without worrying someone's going to bash/flame it or complain that " I've seen you do better." Ok if in the comments the artists/photographer/writer says "How is this in comparison to..." or "How could I improve..." ok fine. If they're not, then there is *no* reason to tell them that "I've seen you do better..." or saying something is "wrong" with it. Deviantart, I thought, was a place to share art or creations with other people, and to meet new people. I've met a ton of people on DA. Some of them I "keep in contact with," up to a point. Other's I just simply comment on their art. I look at every thing with an open mind. And leave a comment. What I like best about it, what the creation "feels" like, etc... And yet... I continue to see pointless bashing and flamming and even harassment. And the worse part-- someone was harassed and the "harasser" (?) was only banned for a month. Where they can simply sign up under another name (which I heard one of them did) and just continue their flamming. And they don't come alone. No. They come in pairs or more. There needs to be a club created against bashers. There's groups out there to "bash" or are " anti-anime" or "anti" a particular genre... which wouldn't be bad, if they weren't *searching* for "popular" artists to bash... or *searching* to bash someone. If you don't like that particular genre, why do you make it a point to go find artists of that genre and bash them? I've been really overwhelemed, stressed and extremely depressed lately-- it's been hitting me and then leaving briefly, and then hitting me again.

They seem to be getting a thrill of being downright rude, inconsiderate and flame other artists (of all mediums). I, personally, am going to go to the admins about them, for crossing the lines and I'm pretty sure flaming or being *that* rude is against the policy some where.

on another note, my brother did join DA *_* hehe And I read some of his comments to other people and he's being soo sweet ^^; he's only got two things up, currently, but I'm sure now that he's got his own account, he'll be posting more.

Well then Mike went and checked out the car naming ALL these problems (including brakes) and that my car was dead-- and I went of storming "I HAVE NO Computer! NO car now! NO JOB! NO MONEY!!" and was runnin' around sayin' it.

So yeah. Halloween is now over with I did get lots'o'candy though ^_^ Too bad, no dark chocolate -_-; My costume, last minute. All black. Grace, friend o'mine, gave me this black see-through-spider type shirt last year. I wore that. A black Vampire cape. A skirt. I did eye makeup, and animal stripes. I'm tempted to just apply at Chik-Fil-A (spell?) I donno if I should/could? I've never worked food, b/c I can't. But would that be considered "normal" food ... I mean not "normal" but non-consistant of stuff that'll make me gag? I donno what's in their menu? Are they mean? What's it like working at a food place? I WILL NOT Waitress. I can't do big places like Wal*Mart (nor will I, i've mentioned in my lj about that) Um. If K-Mart was open, I'd try photo department. I'm asking at least 7.50 an hour. Heh my 2nd job had me at 7.20 when I left, and my baka self let my last job start me off at 6.00 and raise me to 7 after a YEAR IN A HALF of me working there. I'm almost tempted to say 8.00 an hour. I don't want full time. Not yet. Not until I know it'll be a job I'm happy with, or will work there for a while-- if ya get my drift. Anyone who knows me, knows what I'm talkin about.

I've been obviously depressed lately. Do I suffer from depression? Only how I classify it. I've never been to a doctor. Never a therapist. Nothing like that. Guess who finally got to record Yugioh on saturday!?! ME! Guess who got both epps?? Me!! And guess who got to see Bakura & Malik *_* Oh yeah baby I still can't stand Malik's voice-- either of them (Yami or otherwise). But seeing that def was enough to get me all giddy. yes I taped it.
I also watched Nightmare Before Christmas when I woke up.
Woke up late again.
I wonder why I continue to let things get to me. I continue to get depressed at the drop of a dime. yes I could cry right now. NO I'm not a wuss, or a wimp. Or a baby. I have so much going on in my head, and I thought it was bad WITH that job. I'm now just... here.

When ya find out that the talent you have is manipulating what do you do? I mean. Think about it. Fanfiction is almost like manipulating the characters/story for what you want... even if you keep it as true as possible you're still manipulating it to what you want. Icons. What are they? Images from other people's work (some times your own) manipulated. I manipulate O_o;
I take pictures and make them blink
add effects
add words
Lyrics
Emotion.
Some times (most of the time) my icons either represent me, what I'd like to do, or what I think about the particular image.
Wallpapers, same thing.

Unless it's your own work O_o but still.
It's kinda ironic to see that the things i seem to be able to do best is take other people's work and switch it around. No I don't steal, you know what I mean.

Now. If only i could freakin' learn to DRAW right... then I could be happy. ~.~
If the images I see in my head, I could create on paper, it would be great.
If I could FINALLY come up with a pose that doesn't look like someone else's idea.
That looks original.
I've always loved the floating image-- someone floating... being "taken" almost... something wraps around them. Power, if you will. Magic. Anything.

Then draws a picture of Hiei with the dragon around him. A beautiful and amazing picture. Her 2nd attempt at drawing Hiei. My jaw dropped when she gave it to me. A pose I love. a person I love. with a creature I adore and respect. And ... she made it happen.
Grantide, I'd like to make my own. But it'd basically look the same-- I mean of course it'd be my own style. And it may or may not be the same person-- or even same creature around the person in question. But. I'd feel like I was " ripping" it off.
pictures that has drawn, are soo original. , , , , and just to name a few-- have original ideas. Or poses. or if they were inspired by something, they're able to make it -their- own. So many artists, which is why I watch most of them, have an amazing style. Something they're good at. Whether it's particular character, colouring, poses, ideas-- or all of the above. And I know "don't compare" and it's about " the passion." I have the passion-- or I feel that I do. At least the emotion. To try to make it how I want it. And I try. And I feel like a failure when I do. It just doesn't turn out how I want it. Or I can't think of something to begin with. My computer may totally be screwed.

And I can bring that up to him to see if that'll work.

B/c I don't have the money for a new one.
Then I over hear Ash/mike talking... and saying that they'll each pay half for xmas present.
I told Ash he doesn't have to do that.
I can do it myself-- just will take a while.

Ya know. I don't think my work is the best. Hell, I can't even find my own style. I mean there's my own style there-- my own vibe. But I don't like it. My art usually all looks the same. I put emotion into my art... and a part of me. Nearly all of it has meaning or a reason behind my drawing it (weither it's what I put or not... if it's a gift art then it's exactly what I put LoL but if it's my own.. then who knows what the reason is besides me?).
But even with the real touch of emotion and meaning behind my work... I still dislike most of it. It's nothing that would make anyone else look at it other than myself. And although art is about character and the creator... it still would be nice to create something that I can go off and show everyone and say " LOOK WHAT *I* DID!" but no.
Most of my work is... "oh, look... it's this." And... I just can't get it.
Everything I love with a passion... I'm not "good" at. Why? Why can't I have talent? WHAT is my talent? The most common answer i hear is "you help people." Yes I do. I love that. I love helping people. Ha. call me Counsler Dani ^.~ But seriously. What about my poetry? My writing? My stories? My fanfiction? My drawing? Everything.
Gah. How much I wish It had talent. I practice. I try different things. And I still come out with THIS.
NOTHING.
Ya know... I have a low self-esteem obviously... and regardless of what art is about it's nice to have that added boost that "hey, my artwork isn't that bad" or "hell, my poetry is good." yeah maybe good. but not GREAT. -le sigh- I donno...
Would be nice to make a living off of what I love rather than be unhappy forever. that is all.
