Mitsumata is in many ways like an average visual novel. The story is the most important part of the game, topping out at an amazing 120,000 words. That's right. We need a super speedy digital inker and colorist who can do basic cel-shading (not vector) super fast for the next two weeks. When I say fast, I mean that you will probably need to be able to finish a small (about 250x250, max 300x300) picture in about 2 hours, and do at least a couple a day.

So I've been thinking quite a bit about what kind of game Mitsumata is. Originally it was described as a classic horror, a la Mary Shelley's original Frankenstein. However, now that the full story is almost entirely complete and decided on, I've realized an intense structural similarity to a popular show that describes itself differently.
