OH MY GODDESS! i use photoshop for 2 1/2 years now and just today i realize what's the deal with color profiles. OMG! i always thought that the little change of color is a needed devil of showing something on the web or something or i don't know. i just didn't think about it. and i always lived with the fact that the colors of ALL my images is changes and extremely reduced in quality. this is especially unbelievable by thinking about all the hours i spend in coloring..... omg.... at least it works now. i updated all my 5 deviations so they use a WORKING color profile. unbelievable... just now it's possible to view them in their REAL colors...

on the one hand i am shocked that nobody ever say the real colors of my works (because only I open them in photoshop, which was the only program that showed them in their real color) and on the other hand i'm so glad that this just works now and that the colors of my drawings on the web are rather the same as i drew them. this sounds trivial but it is somewhat shocking. but as i said... at least it works NOW. and at least my latest 5 works have the exactly right colors.... and believe me... this DOES make an extreme difference.

shocked and glad,

ok. this is my new account. hopefully the last new at deviantart. i'm looking forward to this one, it should be more active than the last.

today in the morning, i was confronted with about 3500 images on my notebook. it took me a few days to get all pictures together onto my ibook and into the program iphoto. after a hole day of work a part of these masses is sorted now. i deleted 1300 because they were crap or because they were in my library twice or even more often. the remaining 2200 (which will be surely reduced further) consist of everything that is an image and that i saved in the last few years; my photos and drawing, porn, images from deviantart, vclart, bearshare, pictures from friends or from everywhere else over the internet.

after cleaning my flat (because i didn't do this for about 2 months because i was rarely here at all), cleaning all my digital data (which i never did for ALL my data) was and still is extremely necessary. not only my mp3 (using itunes) but also all my pictures (using iphoto). my idea was to put everything onto my mac, that's the easiest and most confortable way. i love ordering all my stuff... that looks cool and neat and makes it a lot easier to find things again. and there's always this good feeling that everything is at it's desired place. (: plus... as i said, i find that many many maaaany images are extremely unneeded and it makes it possible to delete most of them.

greetings,
