Its embarassing and painful, knowing how badly you used to draw, colour, or otherwise.

But then, its also an ego-boost, because it shows you just how far you've come.

From grade seven, to the present (which is pre-University, for me), I can see such vast improvement, its not even funny.

One thing I'm incredibly glad for was the prescence of my peers over the larger part of my art career. They learned me good.

Taught me how to take constructive, and destructive, criticism, and how to put it to good use.

I've still got a long way to go, and the battle is largely uphill.

Luckily, I live on 300, and so, there are plenty of Spartans readily available to help me fight the onslaught of Immortals and Persians that descend on me regularly.

Stayed up until 4 looking at Japan trip! photos with Reno. Which was so much fun.

She kept apologising, and I was like "...Why?" and I guess she thought I might get offended because she was rubbing it in my face, except that I'm not all that envious. I know I'll get to go there some day soon, so I'll have my own experiences to squee! about.

And she was so happy over her trip; it was hard for me to understand why some people might get upset... how can you be so offended by someone's happiness? It just doesn't make sense to me...

Anyway. So, I'm working on an awesome picture of Lee, in a bikini. Which I am fucking RIDICULOUSLY excited about finishing! She looks so cute! And the bikini looks so good on her.

And I'm a horrible, terrible person, so I ganked a stock image of a beach off the internet to throw in the background, because yeah.

The roleplay stuck them in Costa del Sol, though it was accidental. Oh Lord, it was so much win XD

One thing I've noticed, mainly overall in my art, but especially of late, one thing has remained static.

LARGE BREASTS. There are several other things I call them too, but I'm being polite and using the technical term.

This is partly because, by default, most of my characters are ~D, and sometimes (read: Ten) larger.

Also, they say that some people draw what they know. Most of you who have seen me in real life know that I'm well acquainted with oversize knockers. Hovering between a 38D-DD can wreak havoc on your lower back, let me tell you!

That's why I hate men. Them and their fetishes...

Watch, I'll end up with a guy who prefers small ones.

Using spell-check isn't all that hard; takes about 30 seconds. I'm psychotic and know how to spell most things, but sometimes I have to use it, too.

Of course, I spell words like a European, like they're supposed to be spelled, so Word will often tell me I'm spelling it wrong because there's a u.

Fuck that.

Rampant idiocy makes me laugh at the people who exude it, and it conversely makes me cry because it makes me realise how far the human race really hasn't come.

This story was full of political mishaps and attempted coup de'tats. I won't explain the story behind it because I don't care about it anymore, but if canon was SLIGHTLY less hostile towards the Fire Nation, the possibility of the political part of the marriage would be entirely possible.
Zhao was in it a lot, and the Gaang was hardly mentioned at all. It was debated whether or not she'd end up traveling with the Gaang or Zuko first, but it was certain that she'd travel with both.

A definite establishment to canon was not considered or established, and nor shall it be D:. The story was riddled with clichés.

Because "popularity" on this website can be equated to doing the aforementioned things with WELL KNOWN anime or cartoon characters.

Well, fuck that shit. I'm sorry, I have no interest in drawing any of MY favourite anime/cartoon characters in poses even REMOTELY similar to the ones that a lot of my originals end up in.

Why?

Because, most of my favourite female characters are MINORS. LIEK WHOA. Sorry, Toph? Haha, no, do I LOOK like a pedophile? Katara. Fang. Candy. The Alfea girls. The list goes on, but I'm too lazy to think -points to timestamp-

So yeah. I'm not really into making my favourite female characters look like sluts just to get popularity and pageviews.

Although I would like to try drawing some of the Alfea girls in my style, because they are cute, and their fashion sense can be equated to mine, or at the least VERY similar at times.

And I STILL want to find out what fucking happens at the end of Season Two! I was like "OMG Bloom is evil wtf!?" because I slept through most of the episodes leading up to her evilness.

Hahaha! Funny how that works out...

But I want to draw a picture of Li Mei either drawing her bow, or just standing around with her bow on hand.

I'm thinking about offering up my services to the world of freelance art and possibly taking in some commissions.

So, not that anyone actually reads my journal or anything, but would anyone maybe be interested in commissioning me?

Because I tend to spend a lot of time and effort on standard pencils, my prices might be a bit steeper than you'll see.

For example:
$10~$15 for a standard ink, depending on detail, done on marker paper with Micron graphic pens. I won't do anything less than a base-ink image (ie: no pencil sketches)

Full-colour marker (blech!) images would go for around $25~$30 depending on colour variance and detail, on 11x14 marker bristol.

Full-colour CGs would start at $40 and probably range up to ~$70, once again depending on complexity and detail. CGs cost considerably more than markers because a) they take me a lot longer, and b) they have a lot more versatility for me in terms of what I can and can't do, which again, will take me longer.

All examples are based on a full-body, single character image.

Like I said, definitely more than the going price for what you'll see from a lot of artists, and I know it sounds greedy, but I know that I can at least do a decent job. That being said, I can always make exceptions, and I'm always open to haggle >D.

I don't have any current examples of my CG or inking, but they're in my gallery... somewhere D:

Well, here goes nothing.

Since returning from Nova Scotia, my complexion has cleared up, and my hair has returned to normal. I got a job at HomeSense, and I hate it. I'll be quitting in early 2006.

I've decided I would like to take Anthropology at UC, and that I hate most people even though I love to study them.

A new show called "Avatar: The Last Airbender" has started airing on YTV and love it to pieces. So much so that I went Mary-Sue and created a fan-character. She's hot and I would SO be in her pants, only not really because I think I'd hate her if I met her in real life. But she's hot. *waves hot-ness flag*

I hate myself, but I think I've lost weight since grad. Sarah and I have weaseled our way back into the 1337 fandom of anime-ism, and we're loving ourselves for it. Manga owns our souls and pocketbooks. On the 29 of October, we attended an "Anime Hallowe'en Dance" which utterly and completely wasted all the fun we had/could have had on grad night. Despite the fact that I gave myself a bitch of a headache and made myself stiff for the following week (aka right now), I WISH I COULD DO IT EVERY WEEKEND.

I'm more into pixel dolls and CG now than I am traditional art anymore, and I don't really like art anymore either. I tried updating my website recently, and that went over like a lead feather.

I don't mind/kind of like Kataang shippers, and hate all Zutara shippers by default because there is no good argument that they are canon. Kataang on the other hand is more probable. But whatever, I don't think there are any REAL canon couples in that show yet, but yeah. AND I found out how everyone knows what Zuko's fucking sister's name is! I guess they announced her at Comic-Con, which I did not go to, and therefore had no knowledge. So, Zula. Haha, I hate her. She's a pretty fly firebender, it seems though, but I hate her personality . Bitch.

I spend too much of my free-time making and not finishing dolls of Li Mei. I'd love to put her into a hard copy of some art or something, though. If I could properly imitate that art style, she'd be SO existant right about now. Unfortunately for me and my sucky skill, that'll never happen so I'll just have to try and do it myself. Poo.

It's June 15 today. I recently applied for a Data Entry Clerk position at Sondex, and hope I get the job. I graduated on May 27, 2005 along with almost 250 other graduates at my school.

I am proud to be a student of Forest Lawn High School and will always look upon my days there fondly. I love all of my friends and acquaintances into itty, bitty, tiny little pieces.

I still have the same old crushes as ever, and because I am so secretive about them, this will be the first many of you will hear about them.

I also hope I get the position at Sondex not only for the valuable work experience, but also because I am seriously looking forward to visiting Jojo this August. There are only 48 working days left until I leave, so I must save, save, SAVE!

If absolutely necessary, I can postpone it a few days, but I have to be back by the 20 of August, because I want to spend Sarah's 18 birthday with her We will get so hammered

I TOTALLY PASSED MY DIPLOMAS!

Check me out, 82% on my Social Studies 30 Diploma exam, and even though I only got 68 on my Biology 30 Diploma exam, I GOT FUCKING 25/30 ON THE WRITTEN RESPONSE! WHICH IS THE HARDEST PART!

FUCK YEAH, BITCHES!

That means both my marks went up! Add that into the 6 or 7 100%'s that I got from Ms. Kiefer in Design and I fucking RULE.

Hey, maybe it's not 97 and 92, but FUCK YEAH, MAN! I didn't think I'd do THAT good on EITHER exam! Now I get to go and be happy at Mr. Turner although I'm sure he won't care.

...Oh yeah, sexi Dami. SEXI! REALLY! I drew a picture of her today. It is offensive. Or so I imagine someone would find. But damn she's hot.

But I just thought I should share it with the world that I am so totally stoked because not only did I pass my Diplomas, they raised my final marks not by much, but enough to make my pants happy. FUCK ME!

Oh yeah... and my step-dad is retarded. He's all like "Oh, I have whatever you had..." because I was really sick like all the last two weeks or whatever. And during the height of it, when it was most contagious, my sister was still sleeping in the same bed as me, I hung out with Jen, Cilla, and Sarah basically every day, and none of them are sick. At all. I was hardly around Terry at all when I was sick, and especially not when it was contagious.

And now that it's gone and all I'm doing is coughing up phlegm off my chest to get rid of the last of the infection, he's drinking NeoCitran like it's the Life Force itself. Which is disgusting.

I took NeoCitran when I was sick last week and not only did it taste like ass (Hence "those lemon assholes are full of SHIT! No pun intended."), it didn't do ANYTHING AT ALL. Didn't even knock me out T_T

It could have at least knocked me out. Bastard. But yeah, now he's all blaming the fact that he's "sick" on me, and what he has isn't even the fucking same thing! WHAT A LAME-O!

Oh well I've been planning this trip to Nova Scotia for at least two years now, so I'm not dumping on that opportunity. That and... hey, mom is paying for my plane ticket (grad present ) so shit, I am NOT going to pass up that opportunity.

w00t! Sarah and me are going to start a website together soon! It is yet unnamed, and totally r0x0rz! We're going to take on new personas and everything!

We will be Japanese high school students and we've even picked out pwnz0r new names and everything. "WE ROCK!"

...Man, I really don't want to go to school tomorrow. I want to be rich and travel the world! And go to school for no other reason than to LEARN stuff. I LOVE to go to school to learn, but I HATE going to school to take tests and do homework. That's probably one of the big reasons why I don't like school so much.

I am almost completely finished the preliminary sketch for kiriko's commission, and I have the pencils for corrupt divinity's half of our art trade finished. Which leaves Raesha's second commission!

...and kimawashua's picture for my art auction I kinda wish I hadn't done that art auction now because CG takes me so fucking long. One thing I won't do for her is show her the preliminary sketch though :\ she was very difficult to deal with from beginning to end, so I'm just going to DO her picture and be done with it.

I won't EVER do another CG art auction again, unless I have a lot of time and no commissions left. The only reason I did my stupid CG art auction was because I didn't think I was going to see ANY business at N.M.S. for a while. Then, the morning after I started my auction there were 3 commissions waiting in the N.M.S. for me. The words "Oh" and "SHIT!" ran through my head. Many, many times.

I was really irritated. But I thought, "Hey, I can handle this!" But no. No I couldn't.

The auction specs SAID "You are bidding on a single (ie; one person) full-body avatar/original character portrait like this image here."

Then, after kimawashua got the winning bid (all 8,500 gold -_-; ) she decided that she wanted a COUPLE picture. With an edit of her avatar and some red-haired girl's avatar in "this pose please" (an image of Asuka and Rei from NGE sort of cuddled up together). ...Uh, sorry, but the auction specs said ONE person. MAYBE if the bid was like 25k+ I would have done the couple picture because hey, 25k+, I won't argue as long as I get my gold. But the HB was only 8.5k. Sorry, a SINGLE FULL-BODY MARKER image from the N.M.S. is 5.5k. I'm not going to do a FULL BODY CG COUPLE for only 8.5k

...That, and CG takes me over 24 hours ACCUMULATIVELY to finish, NOT INCLUDING all the sketch time! And she wants me to do a COUPLE SHOT?!

Okay, moving right along. I said I was sorry, but the auction said only one person in the image. She said "Okay, I'll figure out something else for you to draw" and then she messages me back "Just do a full body of my avatar."

...Maybe I'm reading in the wrong tone, but I think she was annoyed with me for turning down her couple image. Maybe not. But I think she was annoyed with me. As I said earlier, if the HB had been higher, I would have done a couple image... I don't need to do it again, because I already did it above.

All I know is that the art auction CG is last on my list of commissions. Partly because natural media is quicker for me to do, even if I have to do touch-ups in Photoshop, but also partly because she was technically the last one of my "list" to make her request. I know that if I could get the art auction image out of the way before Feb 1 (haha, fuck yeah right!) I wouldn't have to have kiriko's done until mid-Feb because she's away for exams until then.

I'll correspond with her anyway. kimawashua won't get to see any preliminary sketches, however. I'm just going to do it and send it to her.

It's partly my own fault for starting the auction, I guess, but I did it because I didn't think I would see any business at the N.M.S. It's like someone was laughing at me, because the next day my commission list was full oh well, after I'm finished everyone's commission, I'm going to close my commission list until I'm done kimawashua's. THEN, I'll reopen for one commission at a time...

Although I do have to say I am enjoying some of it, because it's making me use my old supplies again, AND it's helping me to edge up the hill out of my art slump. In case anyone hadn't noticed, I haven't drawn anything new (except for my commissions) in almost six months. Not including sakura baobao, either. Or my CGs. Those were completed later than the actual drawings and I haven't done any real media in over a year before my commissions too, soo...
