Year for change

SEPT 08

I'm coming up to the beginning of my full time Dance Teaching year, will no longer have as much time to shoot but will try to still produce when I have time. I have had the honor to work with several talented people in the city this past year and I would like to thank them all for helping create art with me.

I am close to being finished my brand new website, completely new design and all new gallery images. Keep an eye out for the official post.

Over the next year I am hopefully moving, getting out of this little town and into a bigger city. Where I can branch out and learn, take workshops and have a new area to be canvas to pictures. If all goes as planned I will be heading to BC or TO for at least a year or 2 and then settling down in new place in Canada.

The goal for the year is debt pay off and finalizing a book of images in print form to show me work where ever i happen to be going.

Once I get to settle in a new home my dream is to open a studio. Not just a photography studio, one that caterers to Photo and Dance. I would like to provide dance training for models to teach them grace and about their bodies, as well as having my own personalized studio space to create my work.

Well that's all for now, I will try my best to keep updated online as this year unfolds.

The summer has been rainy and humid here in NS Canada for the most part but I have been getting out as much as I can to take advantage of the summers light. I have been really neglecting my DA account for photos and am doing a overhaul on it in the coming days.

ERINNICOLE'S LATEST SHOT

SEPTEMBER brings a lot of changes for ErinNicole. New jobs, new home, new start.

Over the Summer Erin worked on expanding her portfolio and is soon ready to have a completed book. She will be taking TWO TFP shoots per month this year.

[TFP is an abbreviation for "time for print" that photographers and models use to explain shoots that neither party are being paid for. Also called a creative. These shoots are a collaboration between the photographer/model to make images that will be beneficial to both of them and their portfolios]

[SEEKING MALE MODELS - 6" OR TALLER, ANY ETHNIC BACKGROUND, SLENDER OR BUILT]

TFP RULES
-You must be 18+ or have a parents sign a release form for you.
-You are responsible as the model to come prepared for a shoot
(a) Get a full nights rest, do NOT go out the night before a shoot
(b) come to the shoot with a clean slate. NO make-up and hair washed a day BEFORE the shoot and air dry.
-If you want to have an escort you must tell ErinNicole before the time of the shoot.
- You will get to pick your favourite 5 images from the shoot and ErinNicole will edit your choices for you.
-The model is responsible to cover the studio rental fee per hour that they are working with ErinNicole.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A TFP SHOOT WITH ERIN -

Please send her an email with your full stats and a head shot and full body shot [do not need to be professional] TFP shoots are NOT a first come first serve basis. They will depend on what the model can bring to Erin's book and if they have modeling experience in most cases. Erin will sometimes find people new to modeling and contact them herself if she sees potential.

In your email also include dates and times that work best for you for arranging a shoot. Feel free to send ideas and shoot locations ideas along too. The more Erin can see you are committed to modeling the better likely it will be for you to get to work with her.

**IF YOU ARE SCHEDUALED FOR A TFP SHOOT AND HAVE TO CANCEL YOU MUST GIVE 24HOURS NOTICE. IF A MODEL MISSES A SHOOT TIME THEY WILL NOT HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH ERIN AGAIN. TFP IS A PRIVLADGE OF GETTING A SHOOT THAT WOULD NORMALLY COST 100$+ SO TREAT IT LIKE IT A PRIVILADGE**

Hey all, I need someones help. I need someone who knows how to write Japanese script to help me translate "Dancer for God" into script for a tattoo.

Please don't go ti google and do a onlune translator search, that won't help me. I need someone who can actually write in Japanese... someone who can write it out and scan it for me so I can use it in making a tattoo I am working on. It needs to be written vertically down a page because it will be tattooed down the side of my spine.

It all happened so fast...

This is going to come as a shock to many of you, esspecialy my classmates and friends. I am no longer a NSCC student. I withdrew from Photography as of this afternoon. Over the past week many things came up that were things I just couldn't pass up.

I love photography but I love dance too. I have been offered a lot of dance oppertunities in a very short time. Working with a well know company from toronto in professional training workshops and many local workhops as well. I don't intend on quitting photography forever I will still be creating art and selling art as the year goes on.

My dance school is becoming my gallery, my boss/owner/friend Has 3 studios with bare walls that I will be displaying my prints to sell. This is a big help to me as I am not a memeber of any gallery yet. This will be in 3 locations and not that seeable yet but it is a great start.

Please don't hate me those of you that went to school with me, you all know I have a car and soon a full licence and I will be around.

I just didn't feel it was right to have 2 things I loved and only having the ability to give 50% to each. So for now dance is where my heart is and later on Photography will come back into play more than it will this year. I still want people to model and I will be posting art, don't think of it as loosing me... I'm not going anywhere I'm just taking things one step at a time.

Unfortunete Update

Well today was the day that made it official.

My laptop has been stolen and it is probably never coming back. I have lost everything I have... Art, photos, memories, documents... absolutly everything.

I just want to personally oppoligize to those who have modeled for me who never got their originals... unfortunetly I will never have the either, and I will make it up to you, we will shoot again.

Jessika and Jay I am so truley sorry that your prom pictures are gone, all I have left is the 3 I posted on this account.

That's really all I can say... Sorry and you probably won't see me around Da again for a while until I get my life back on track.

One concern I do have is whoever has my laptop has all my art and all my personal memories [identity fraud possibility?]... I don't know how many of you out there are good with law stuff but I was wondering what kind of rights I will have if someone is smart enough to take my art off that computer and sell it as their own... starting over

As it stands I'm leaving a few older peices up... I'm starting new... Screwing all the one crap I only did to kill time...

Clean slate and much security... All my images will have visable watermarks showing my ownership so I don't run into any more theives.

I know I said I was creating my own site... Well I'm pore so until I can pay for the domain nothing will be up so I decided to start posting again for a while anyway

Christmas Vacation is over ... heres a little update in my world

- Got my new Canon 20D
- Finished paying off my Ibook G4
- Got my grades from first semester, everything above 85, Photo was 90
- Re-vamped my room into a make shift studio
- Have lots of modeling opertunities ahead of me
- Hair is dyed now purple/red/black [pics soon]

Had a new shoot with ~Film-Exposed went well.. new hair.. pics coming soon

Mark has been awesome to me he helps me get Studio time at our school because he has senority being in Photo 2 and all... I have a client coming in sometime soon to do a shoot that is so exciting because people are starting to show intrest in my photography and skills already and I am still a beginner...

Shooting to gigs one portrait/goth style, one one fashioned 50's b.w glamor

Having a photo session with my beautiful boyfriend soon aswell.

This is going to be a journal about me... i dont normally write about myself so bear with me...

Ok so this weekend was "Dancabition" a dance compitition in Halifax where over 8 different dance schools attend.

My school LMSD was there and my troup "control" ended up taking home 6 silver medals for our group dances... and i did a solo with one of my best friends Stacey and we got a Silver medal for that also. I also did a tap solo where i got a bronze.

The whole weekend was a ton of fun, adn i was very happy with the outcome.... especially since i had some trouble with my dance school leading up to the compitition...

The end of the night came around and all the girls/guys that perticipated in the compition that night were on the stage getting out final awards...

And there is an award called "Senior most promising dancer" and one thats "Intermediate most promising dancer"

I have seen the girls from our school win these a few years.. and i was ruiting for them all this year as well... then it happened

THEY CALLED MY NAME!! i couldnt believe it this is such an honor.. out of the thousands of dancers there those two days the judges picked me for this award...

Anyways i was completely shocked and still am because ive never accually won an award dedicated to me before in my life... so this is a moment i will remember for a very long time

I'm in a real photography block right now.. i have ideas but no time.. or i have time and no ideas... i will be re-newing some of my old stuff and posting it and hopefully ill ahve some new stuff for you guys soon

i know that when comes march i have danceabition and ill have photos form that .. i love snapping dancers *gets all excited*

But yeah what i have posted is my old work.. i have new stuff that shows my improvments and a little but of a different style so watch out for those!!

I've given up trying to impress anyone... it only causes stress... im going to be myself for whatever thats worth.. and my art will reflect that...and I have stopped basing how good my art is by the number of comments and views they get because i know i love my art.. and thats all that matters....
