I'm Ringling material...but my mom told me this morning that I can't go. And that I can't go to USF. Oh, but I can go to SPC. This after they told me last July 'If you get in, we'll find a way'. Yeah, right.

She says I need to keep my options open...and that this applies to men, too. So I guess she wants me to break up with Eddie.

I'm so confused right now that all I could do was cry in my room. I'm home from school today because something blew into my eyes yesterday and scratched my cornea. But after she told me that I couldn't go...I just wanted to get dressed and leave for school.

I just feel so trapped...Like I can't do anything. I can't do art now, I guess. The only thing that I was really gonna have going for me professionally was my talent and that degree...the only reason I was going to was because it was my dream and I knew I could get a job from Ringling.

But now...nothing. I guess I just need to give up on it. Some people get full ride scholarships...I guess they're the ones that are suppoed to be artists. The rest of us just have our heads so full of pipe dreams and ambition that we need to be put down a few notches before it gets dangerous for us.

I guess I'm just gonna quit while I'm ahead. ...no. I'm Wiccan. We're different. I could go into it, but it basically comes down to that Satanism is a mockery of Christianity and Wicca is a nature-based religion with a God and a Godess.

4. What do you color with?
Ah, yes. I have Photoshop Elements (don't laugh) and Open Canvas 1 (again, no laughing) as far as digital media goes.

For traditional, usually Copic markers. I use the Sketch markers...My 48 set cost me $200. They're my babies. Otherwise, I use Prismacolor pencils, Micron pens, india ink (in a bottle), watercolor, and gouache.

As far as paintings go, although I haven't photographed any to put in here...I use acrylic paint and latex or acrylic interior paint. Like, the kind you get from Home Depot. Yes.

5. How old are you?
17. My birthday's June 20th, exactly six moths after ~TakaSama's. Funny, huh?

6. Where do you live?
I live in St. Pete, Florida. I don't like it muhc, and want to move to Maine some day.

7. Who is this Taka Sama kid?
My boyfriend/fiance. Yes, I know. Look at me crazy if you wanna. He is quite possibly the most wonderful soul I've ever met and I love him dearly.

8. You do commissions/art trades?

Okay, good news- I finally finished my portfolio and my essay for my college application.

Bad news? My car is broken. I'll find out tomorrow how much it will cost to fix, but it doesn't look good.

I am just so stressed out. I was supposed to get 4 of my bicuspids pulled otday, but I thought the appointment was at 2 instead of 1. So I got yelled at by my step-dad. While in school. I had to sneak off to the bathroom to get his call.

I just don't know anymore. My parents keep yelling at me. I'm a good kid. I know I am. I do my chores and everything. But it's like every time I slip up, I get snapped at. First he tells me- 'It's okay, everyone does this at one point or another', and then he snaps at me on the phone like I'm supposed to be perfect.

I just want to be one year older. I want to be in college already. I want to be more than a mediocre artist. I want people to recognize me, instead of just leaving me generic comments.

I want to be myself. I don't want to have to worry about being so perfect all the time. I hate how this makes me feel.

Started my job this week, it's a pretty fun place.

I cut myself carving my pumpkin earlier.

In other news, I won First Place in the On-the-Spot Art Contest for the District IV Florida Scholastic Press Association. Next up is State cometition in February (I think it's then, at least.

). We were given a stry and had to draw a political cartoon to go along with it, and I was told I outght to apply to work at a big newspaper ASAP...I was told this by the pro artists who looked over my cartoon and gave it a perfect score.

So, my semester exam in Journalism this semester is to put together a protfolio and send it out to one of the 2 big newspapers around here.

My life has been crazy lately.

I remember when life was easy. I was my father's daughter- tomboy to the extreme.

My parents divorced nearly six years ago. For the past year, I have seen nothing of my father.

My birthday is in two days. He sent me a package.

He sent jewerly. Silver, leather, and pearls. I know, it's an odd mix, but it's pretty and just the sort of thing I would wear.

I don't know if I want to wear it, though. Does by putting it all on mean that I admit that a part of me is still that little girl? Does by refusing to wear it make me just as childish?

Well, I was 5 minutes away from being kicked out of my house yesterday. That realization hit me as I sat in the dark in my room last night.

My mom, bless her, prides herself as being a VERY tolerant person. But it seems that I crossed the line.

I am Wiccan. To me, it makes sense. To her, she didn't understand.

She thought it was about conjuring demons, and spilling blood. She thought I was being brainwashed by a coven. She thought they were going to use me up.

And then she went and looked it up online. I was trying to tell her what it was all about, but she didn't believe me. And then she looked it up.

She was going to kick me out of the house. She thought that Wicca equated to Satanism. She thought that it was all about cursing people who did you wrong. She thought that it taught Godlessness and Spite.

I feel betrayed. The one person that I shared so much of myself with went and changed on me and then broke up with me after being a dick to me for the past week. I gave him my everything. I poured out so much emotion for him that when he asked me to stop, I overflowed. Unable to find a person to devote the deluge of feelings, they could only emobdy themselves in the tears that would fall down my face and onto a friendly shoulder.

Don't be suprised if my art is awful angsty in the next little while. You're going to have to forgive me that much.

Great. What a wonderful FACKING day...I just learned that was nothing more than big ripper.

I have really forgotten about a relationship and all of the torrent of emotion that goes along with it. I gotta get used to that.

I know I have to make art to survive, but art class seems to be sucking all of my energy, and what's left is used up at work. When I get home, all that I really have time to do is oekaki or start something in photoshop, only to trash it minutes after starting.

I'm really sorry about my lack of involvement on DA here. I'm thinking of just clearing out all od my Deviations and just starting fresh, with an ammount that I can control.

So...I'll be posting as soon as I can sit down and focus on making art for art's sake, and not just for a grade.

And I need a new ID, seeing as how I changed my hairstyle for the first time in 3 years.

Like, I hate my own art. I don't think that I can draw for shit.

Example- My animals suck. I have my book on how to draw animals, and I STILL don't get it.

But, ~kaaliya borrowed it (he have history together) and she has perfected it...OVER THE WEEKEND!

I don't know. I think that maybe my art really DOES suck. Maybe I'm not really an artist, just a no-talent hack posing as one.

And then, to top it all off, I had some attractive guy in his late 20s hitting on me at work. But to save my life, I can't get a guy my age to look at me twice. No, I'm just their buddy. I'm the proverbial girl next door.

I have about 13 things to do. One of which is a graphic design idea for a website. And I just can't get any of it done.

I really, really, really just feel like curling up in a ball and crying. I've never felt so hopeless in my life.
