Sadly, only a few of the comics I use to read are still continued, but I did find some rather good ones. I'll just recommend two for now: Evil Plan and Seize the Day.

Evil Plan: I'd like to think that the title gives it away what the story is about, but I shall indulge you nonetheless. This story is about super villains ... from the villains point of view. A rather funny comic about a mad scientist, Dr. Kinesis, who hired an unsuspecting assistant, Alice, to help him conquer the world. Style wise it is not anything top-peak, but it is rather decent and in color. The story lines are full of stereotypical evil scientist jokes and a few new ones ... I won't ruin the fruitcake thing for you. The characters are also wonderfully easy to fall in love with. So much so that I find myself wanting to make fanart of the odd pair. [link]

Seize the Day: Look at the colors. I mean, really, look ... even if you aren't a comic fan. Its a very original style and the colors are out there without being too out there to blind you. The story line is also very fun. Its about three pals at school and their trouble making adventures ... for some reason it kind of reminds me of Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Defiantly worth a glance. [link]

Anyway, the title of the movie is 'The Midnight Meat Train'. I'm sure you all are rather perceptive - given the title - but I will tell you nonetheless. This is a slasher film about a serial killer on the late night trail. Don't think that's the end of the plot ... there is so much more. Plus, visually, the movie contains a wonderful combo of camera angles that give a haunting look to the city and also express a camera shot feel, given the hero's occupation. A treat for the movie fan with an eye for such things. Also, not only does the gore give a nice twist from the usual slasher styles, the whole film isn't one giant chase scene so it builds proper downtime for things like characters developed and mystery. Then, as a topping to the cake, the ending promises to leave you squealing.

W-what! How can such a kid friendly place own Marvel without ruining Marvel. I mean, really, can you see Wolverine playing nice or resisting the urge to use his claws so that they can talk this out? And what of Deadpool? Or Ghostrider ... he's a firy skeleton people! The Hulk is meant ot destroy things!

Ugh! Marvel is violence ... Disney is family. They are not meant to be together.

I love Disney, don't get me wrong. I can't imagine not growing up with Beauty and the Beast, or some of my newer favorites like Lilo and Stitch or the Pixar related films, bu-but what good can come of this? Yes, better merchandising for Mavel if they don't gut it ... and maybe, just maybe, we'll get another intresting combo like Kingdom hearts. But, my hope isn't high for such things.

If anyone else is a huge Cars fan I recommend Maji [link] . I suggest reading all her Cars fics. She is that awesome.

Another thing with cars … you know what it is: Revenge of the Fallen. As you may or may not know. To get all giddy about its release, I put out some sample fics of probable multi-chapters: All-Mother, Squeak, and Cabbie. I love them all, but Cabbie really got to me because Simmons has a HUGE part in the second movie. SQUEEE! Sadly, I was hoping that characters like Miles would get more attention … didn’t even mention him, which isn’t so terrible. The movie was good, but the only people that really got any character development in this movie were Starscream, Ron, Judy, Mikaela, and Sam. All the other original cast was either minimal or gone all together. Sad day … still love the movie though. A must see if you are a transformers fan … especially when you get to see Soundwave’s design. Can you say bow-chick-a-wow-wow baby!

Anyway, awesomeness, but it didn’t give me a whole bunch of plot bunnies and for that I’m glad. I still have too many leftovers from the 07 movie.

Lastly, last car is of the real kind … like car show kind. Hubba-hubba! Anyway, Elk Point had its lovely summer celebrations which include a car show, live street bands, and a cowboy show. I got obsessed with the pretty no-touchies so I forgot the cowboys. All the pretty Chevelles, Camaros, Stingrays, Roadrunners, VW’s (yes, there were some awesome VW’s there XD), Willys, and to many pretties to count. I took pictures, so as soon as I figure out how to get them off my sister’s phone I might put them up on my live-journal account. Yet, the best part was when the cowboys came to me!

Yep, the thieves robbed the town’s drug store, took a hostage, and faced off against the sheriff and his deputies. It was hilarious. Not because the actors fell out of character or anything like that, but because the crowd was yelling things like ‘shoot the hostage’. It was great. The fake shoot out was awesome too … but the best thing had to be was when the band started to play ‘I shot the Sheriff’ afterwards.

Also, is it just me or is there a larger release of awesome movies this summer? I mean there's Star Trek (which I haven't seen yet, but it looks like it will be fun), Terminator Salvation, Transformers 2, Wolverine, Drag Me to Hell, Night at the Museum 2,and a few other movies. Drool-mister.

Yet, now that I go over that list, I can't help but notice that most of them are based off of earlier ideas and not original. Has Hollywood’s creativity died? What do you think?
Also, before I forget, Terminator was good and action but not over the top like in Wolverine. What did irritate me is that it ended with one of those meaningless sacrifices ... ugh, just like in the last episode of TF:A. It wasn't just me, was it, but did the last episode seem rushed? I might have cried for Prowl's death, but it happened so fast I wasn't sure he was dead.

All right, I don't know about you guys but my mind just bounces about with theories and ideas as to why society acts the way it does. Now, I had one of these brain-children a few days ago when I was in Women's Studies.

Now, we were having a discussion about women and child rearing. I told the professor how I noticed that my one sister 'T' was outraged - in her own way - that my sister 'R' decided not to have children because she has some physical reproductive issues. Now, I tell my sister 'T' this all the time: I probably won’t be having children. Yet, ‘T’ does not hold offence when I say this.

Now to the hypothesis -

My theory is that people believe - due to religion and other contributing factors in peoples’ histories - that if people get married they are expected to have children. (Not that I agree. I'm for population control) That is why gay men are generally more focused on by gay hate groups than women. A lesbian couple can still procreate with very little assistance, a male couple cannot reproduce easily without the borrowing of another body. That is why gay hate exists.

So readers, what do you think? Is it all about popping out babies or something else?

Anyway, I was personally raised to believe that people who didn't follow the traditional marriage were evil: thus situations like the author's (and gay marriages which I will discuss in a later journal after I get some good articles) were considered shameful. Its days like these that I'm glad I went on to further my education or I might still think badly towards these people. I mean, I personally, don't think I'd be into it, but I don't hate her for it (unlike some of those comment that article got). Looking at it her way, it's like a small clan that supports each other, or like a lions pride. Plus, think of all the additional incomes with today’s tight budget and you know what they say, 'It takes a village to raise a child.'

Enough on my opinion drop me a review on what you think. Yah, I know wierd discussion material, but really ... would you expect less from me?

Well, while doing research for the Greens Party paper, my sis calls me and tells me she quit Wal Mart last week because the store treats their employees like CRAP. In fact, it has been proven, that many Wal Marts make sure their employees have under 40 hrs (like 38) so they don't have to pay for health insurance. They put many small business (like pillow factories and pickle factories) out of business because they sell the item for less than it was costs to make; they pollute, hire illegal aliens, have lock downs that force employees to stay off the clock and are not paid for the extra hours; and a huge list of other things as to why I hate them. In fact, I haven't shopped there in over six months. I'd rather go without something then go to that economy ruining, hell hole.

Ugh, I went on a ramble there. Anyway, back to my sis. Well, she has one of her old boyfriend's mothers come through the line and she tells my sis that her husband just died. My sis liked this guy and gets from behind the register to give the acquaintance a hug. You know what the manager does, he/she snap s at her to get back to work. Then, afterwards, when my sis is upset and crying, they won’t even allow her to leave the register for a few minutes to go gather herself. Assholes. They are half the reason most society is dehumanized. They treat people like numbers; a dog has more worth to them than a human being in that place. Walton (the creator) would be ashamed to see what has become of his store.

Oh, for a cheerier note, new fic. Yah. I was inspired to write a TF fic about what would happen to Soundwave's cassettes if he died. Angst, baby, angst. Let’s see how the prequel goes over.

You know what they say, voting offers the human mind a feeling of use and togetherness … oh wait, I think the real saying is “All votes count” or “Think not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for country.” Umm, it’s something like that. So have a high five from me for remembering.

Well, unless you are too young. Then you’re just out of luck.

Now I would love to boast about who and what initiatives I vote for … but it’s too easy to make enemies especially on the “A” issue. Yet at the same time the “A” issue offers such an amazing insight to the conflictions between democracy, human rights, religion, family beliefs, economy, and morals. (Communication minor, can you tell?) It’s just so much fun to see the two opposing forces standing out there on opposite sides of the street with their signs. I must admit, that the violence that comes with the “A” issue offers some great entertainment to a observer’s view, but it’s also interesting to see the involvement the people bother to put forth … now, if only more people would put that type of passion towards the school systems or ‘their’ own children. That way we wouldn’t have as many uneducated teens to start with. Or, wait, how about the staving? Hmm, no, existing people aren’t important, not at all.

Talk later, and I’m going to stay up late to see who wins. Oh, politics are so much fun. It’s like a mini war, but so much dirtier.

Now let’s get down to business. Basically, the competition is for my lovely readers to make a cover picture/poster for my " Promise Not to Tell " fic [link] . There are no real requirements for color, size, materials, style, or content as long as it fits in with the ' Promise Not to Tell ’ theme. All entrees must be in jpg format and must be emailed to me by the last day in April… I will push the date back if I get enough requests to do so.

The prizes you ask? Well, first prize gets a 7,000 word one-shot of their choice. Generally I'm not the type to down grade someone’s art (not even eating baby pics ... okay I think it's funny) so I can’t help but feel a little meek about actually downgrading someone’s work, but it just pissed me off so much. Now if you scrolled down and read down to ~safire-serpent’s comment you’ll see what I mean. I agree with the writer’s Strike. They wrote the bloody thing (the first and most crucial step to a good series) and they can’t even have a bloody 2%! As a fellow writer I can totally relate. I mean I would like to be able to publish something one day, but I’m not looking forward to it if professionals are getting screwed over … and it’s just a bloody 2%! It’s not like they are asking for 40% … ugh. There’s a nasty taste in my mouth now. I need to go and gargle.

Also … does anyone know how to put thumbs in a journal or is that just a subscriber thing?

Sorry, really poetic today. We got about seven inches of snow. It was the thick heavy kind that no matter how often the snow plow went by the snow would cover up the cleared path as if the plow had never been there. I love days like these … it reminds me that the Earth is alive and just to stop and listen to the snow falling. It makes a sound that aches down to the soul.

You know it’s true what they say ‘You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.’ I miss my roommate Ashley already. Yah, we had remote wars, but it was still nice to have company. Other then that depressing tidbit classes start Thursday so not much excitement there… okay, my life is depressing let’s talk about entertainment.

Movies! I went and seen ‘I Am Legend’! Great movie! It was mixed with aww, chair gripping fear, and lots of tears at the end. Awesome movie and I recommend it to anyone. It’s a little scary, but you see that coming. That is a movie I’m so putting on my DVD to get list.

New TV Series! I watched the Transformers Animated Series. Originally I wasn’t open to the idea until a whole bunch of transformer fans stated that it wasn’t bad. I’ve only seen one episode so far and I find it cute … it’s kind of like ‘Teen Titans’ minus the chibies and nice style … I don’t mind the style by the way. For PG-whatever it’s fine. The characters are cute and fun and have absolutely gorgeous voice acting. So from now on I’ll make an effort to actually sit down in front of my TV and watch something other than ‘House’.

Sadly, I didn’t get every story update like I planned for this Christmas vacation. I feel bad, but I’m still going to try and updated as much as often. Hopefully, I’ll have more self control to write down idea notes now that my room is ghostly still and quiet … don’t worry about my roommate though. She didn’t die or anything. Okay, so a few transformer geeklords stated that I should join LJ and like an idiot I did it ... I hate joining new sites that don't have clear principals and formats; that's why I live in Fanfiction; it's very orderly. But here I was trying to put one of my stories on tr2007fun community and the whole bloody chapter showed up. Ugh, I'm tired and I don't really care anymore if LJ ever reads my fics. If they want to read them they can come to me. I'm not wasting another hour and a half of my life trying to figure out that site.

Sorry for the bitchy-ness. I need guide lines people. I needs them.

Yah, Just want to add a little sarcasm to your life. Will be gone for the next 5 days so don’t expect to see me … my sister has dial up. (can hear people screaming in agony) Anyway, since I love my flash disk I’m dragging that with me and will try to type ‘Ghostly Cry’ and ‘A Picture is Worth a Thousand Screams’. Probably will only get one done, if at all.

Nothing else new … except I think I totally bombed my first Spanish test. I hate learning Spanish! (nothing against the language or its people I just suck at learning new languages when I barely can speak my own!) Further on this idea; I think I’m going to draw a comic where I’m dressed like Hitler and making a map that says ‘Spanish counties to destroy’. Then a side character will enter and state … “Well, you still have to take a second secondary language for English majors anyway. Destroying all Spanish speaking countries will only mean you’ll have to take Chinese or something.” I then cross out Spanish on the map and put little pinup bombs on two-thirds of the planet. Stupid, but whatever. It’ll be cute if I can ever get my hands on a scanner! Ugh!

Down to business boys and girls. With college started it means I’ll be drawing more. Oh how my English/pretty-much-all-classes notes will seem like sketch books more then notes. Also … I might be getting a Laptop with my return check! Finally, I will get my own personal computer! Yes, no more using the schools computer labs at two in the mornin’.

Art wise … those Zim comics are drawn but I’m dwelling on the fact if I should add color … I suck at computer coloring color so either it goes simply inked or with a traditional form of colorization. Yah!
Nothing else at the moment except I’m really surprised by how well my Transformer fan fics are doing on fanfiction. Hmm … I’m thinking of putting my most popular fic on here while adding a header pic … don’t know if I will but if I do I have this awesome piece for ‘A Ghostly Cry.’

Other then fireflies I guess the only thing going on in my life is trying to decide which job I hate more … I’m having a hard time deciding, but either way I’m going to make a comic having Zim destroying both of them … why Because I can dangit. I’m already half done with my present Zim comic … except I have to redraw the last panel because I think I threw it away by accident when I was moving out of the dorms. Also, I know I should be working on those two fan pics for Charlie Bone that my readers asked for … but I’m lazing when it comes to creating character designs … I’ll get to it sooner or later guys.

The other thing in my life … since my life is so lifeless and uneventful … I’m trying to decide what to do with my fanfics … A Ghostly Cry is coming to an end so I’m trying to decided what story to post in replacement … I have two Jak story, A Dragon Booster, and a Zim fic that all have the first chapters done and ready to go, but then there’s case in point if I should make a second installment of a Ghost Cry … we’ll see. I was going to ask my readers for suggestions on the next update. I do have a really sturdy idea right now, but with Danny Phantom ending I don’t know if I should bother; don’t want to kill a good idea now do we?

Well, that’s my life. Work every night and type when I’m not exhausted from work … man, my life is boring. Maybe some Asylum art will cheer me up. I already have another fan piece in the works called Doom Elevator.

Also ...Ekkkkkk! Ohz my gods! Must watch Transformers again! Here I was so ready to be disappointed and bahm, wham, hahaha! My god I had so much fun when me and my pal Laura whom actually enjoyed it too and she didn’t even grow up as a Transformers fan! … In truth, I was surprised that we weren’t kicked out. You see we went to burger king beforehand and I had a huge cup of vault and if you’ve met me you know its scary when I get a lot of sugar in me. I get all hyperactive like a little kid … plus, Laura just had to by a liter cup at the theater that she refilled twice during the movie, plus I was already excited because I’m a transformers fan so … you can imagine my reactions throughout the movie .In a quote from Laura, ‘God, you’re acting like a five year old.’

Here’s a list of things I did … the lsit is actually longer but it would take forever to type so here are the highlights:

1) I giggled for like the first hour until it started getting really actiony
2) Twitched in my seat and shook my head going eep when the transformers were trying not to be seen by Sam’s parents.
3) Whimpered like a sissy and cried no’s when Bumblebee was captured.
4) During the battle in the city Laura had gotten the final refill of her Mountain Dew so we were saying things like. ‘Furbies! Furbies of mind controlling doom!” >< (there was a furbie truck in the movie) and my personal favorite when that 7up machine was turned into a transformer. ‘7up of DOOM! Run for your lives! Run for the 7upy goodness!”

Overall, I loved the entire movie with its wonderful computer graphics and how they managed to mix so much humor into a serious plot line. I’m surprised that we weren’t yelled at by the other movie goers … I mean we weren’t horribly loud but I’m sure people defiantly heard us when we yelled ‘7up of DOOM!’ Speaking of which, after I’m done with my other two comics I’m so going to draw one for 7up of doom with the transformers (the cartoon versions because I’m to lazy to do the move designs >< of the transformers cowering in a comer from a 7up machine. http://paw07.deviantart.com/journal/12853207/ Sat, 05 May 2007 14:39:01 PDT
Lets see, did anything interesting happen this week … well, Thursdays we dragged my new friend Megan and her guy pal (we’ll call him Mr. Coyote to spare him) to Wal-Mart and I don’t know why put I pointed to some really girl shoes and said, “These are just your size.” And it was all over for our male passenger … we were going to force him to dress as a girl but first we had to trick the Wal-Mart guy into opening the changing room for us without it looking like Mr. Coyote was cross-dressing… so Ashley sneak in saying that the frilly, slightly oversized cloths were for her; when the Wal-Mart dude finally left we forced Megan’s guy pal in … I must say frilly is a good look on him and he can walk pretty well in high shoes … we really should have forced that bra on him though … that shirt made him look really flat chested.

And what the hell is up with the air conditioning! Hello people! The only reason I chose to live in this dorm was because there was suppose to be air-conditioning but no! And you don’t even want to know the effects this has on my roommate. She practically a vampire with how dark it is in our so we can keep the heat out.

Damn you messed up South Dakota weather! For goodness sake last week it was freezing and you were forced to wear a coat plus there was rain. Now look, it’s only been like three days and now it’s hot enough to hold a barbeque on the sidewalk!

On a more positive note … wait, is there really anything positive going on this week? Not really. Just finals and a pile of papers to write and tests to study for. Whoopee me … work on a realllly hot day. Plus, I need to find a job.

You’re probably thinking that that’s it for my complaining but you’re wrong! Robert, the bloody pain he is, decided to take the scanner down so there’s no way in hell for me to scan anything in! :huff:

But I guess on a real positive note, I started reading stories on Fanfiction again. I haven’t read or reviewed anything in about a year; I’ve been busy and simply disappointed with the quality of writing. Thank you deviantart for reawaking that inspiration that made me turn back to the dark side and start to add favorites as well as start some new fanfic ideas to my account (cough, even though I should be paying attention to the others I’m working on). You see … I have no idea why I bothered in the first place, but I decided to search for ‘Jak and Daxter’ and I ran into some really interesting pics that turned out to belong to fanfics. I was like okay … I’m bored out of my mind and it’s presently two in the morning on a Saturday so why not? A godsend I tell you … a godsend. For being the last two weeks of school those fanfics sure cheered me up. Maybe the last few weeks will be fun!

Oh, I’m entering a piece into The-Alchemists-Muse contest. It’s going to be a one page comic. I’m already half done. If I’m lucky I should be able to scan it in Tuesday.

I also found out a trick to make the coloring of my Danny Phantom comic go faster. True, I haven't put any pages up because I want to be at least four pages ahead so I'll have some slack time and people won't get impatient of waiting.

All things aren’t happy farts and nasty cheese though … fanfiction is being a pain in the ass. Here I rushed myself to finish an eight thousand word chapter and the fricken thing won’t even let me down load it!

Other then that everything’s sunny in South Dakota … but that’s soon to change, just give the weather fifteen minutes … stupid global warming.
