I thought it would be very cool to add my pictures a little something. The idea came to me, because of the print ratio. You see, in the labs, some of the custom sizes crop the picture in the sides, so i`ve added a black border, so that there is no cropping (but the image is a bit smaller).
Thats when i though "hmmm, i could get some signature or something there".
Lucklily i`ve got :iconadrenn: to do it for me. I dont know wether if its well placed or if you like it. To me its a little something (hope it doesn`t distracts too much) to make the picture a bit more personal.

What do you think? Is it too strong? Bad placed? Ugly? Like it?

Maybe for some what im sayin is old history and a fool`s joy, but im so very very happy with this camera... im shooting like 200 pictures a day. Getting to know it. Im shooting pretty much everything. My parents, my pets, plants, light in the dark, anything that MAY look intresting.
Of course, most of the pictures look like crap. I don`t think much before shooting and im still getting to know how the camera works. Variying ISO, the 18-55mm, the lack of f 2, dunno. It`s a weird experience.
In the next following days im buying a tripod, because with the camera alone, im forced to shoot in a very high ISO and that doesn`t feel right. Some panoramics with 18mm at f 32 sure look nice.
Besides im shooting all RAW+JPG, however, couldn`t get to edit the Raw in PS (cs2). Either way im keeping the Raw`s of the cool pictures... so far only a few.

I recommend that, if you don`t have one yet, you GO BUY a DSLR. It`s an excellent idea XD

The fact that my camera arrived safely to my parents house (and works great :) ) is making me wait for the digital to shoot everything without the guilt of the money per pic, that is the analog.
I´ve just realized that if i were studiying a while a few weeks ago, this time wouldn´t been so rough, but well, i know it now!!
In 3 weeks ill be at my parents, with my Canon Eos Rebel XT, shooting everything XD

The only good thing is that i´ve forgot many of the pictures i took, so maybe (MAYBE) something good pops up. Or at least surprise me!

All the copies i had previously were very tiny and the ones i liked (2) i had them printed in 15cm x 21cm. At first i thought that it was a good size.
Then i got this print. this 20 x 30 print. hell!! the previous ones were SO tiny. I´ve putted it on the wall and really rocks.
Later that day my friend :adrenn: came by and i showed him this picture in the wall. We talked for a few hours, and i came to realize 2 things:

1. 20 x 30 ain´t THAT big. I mean... its big enough to have it in your hand and enjoy all sorts of details. But isn´t like Poster BIG. In fact... its pretty little to have it on a wall. (I still like it though, but i guess having a BIGGEr one, will like me MORE).

2. I realized that this image ([link]) that i printed looked really great now it was bigger. As is... its a new photo!. But i came to realize that maybe after i shoot some other 100 pictures, i can find others that like me this much (or more). Meaning: Maybe i should focus on shooting a lot of pictures, then after i have all this pictures i really like, then see what i can do. How to print em, frame em, hang em..I like this idea.
Yet, don´t dismiss the idea of prints. I enjoy em much much more than seeing in my screen. I have a 19´ CRT screen. I see pictures and they are good, great, whatever. But watching em in big real life paper... thats really something. I understand now how can people can spend so much money on art. (And i´ve just saw the tip of the iceberg, can´t imagine if i ever go to a professional photography exposition, with 1m high prints or stuff like that).

What do you think? or was too much to read?

Well... finally, after a few days of watching all over ebay, and local Argentinian similar sites, i bought a Rebel XT. Used. Arriving from the US in 3 weeks aproximatedly.
So... i will have to sit on my hands and wait.
I was going to buy a Digital Rebel, but i wasn´t sure... specially after researching about the XT and finding out how better and newer it was. My budget was very limited, so i hope the camera fully works. Now... wait.
Meantime i still use my pentax k1000, but... waiting for the replacement :)

Bueno, finalmente, luego de unos cuantos dias de andar mirando por ebay y otros sitios (deremate, mercadolibre..) me compre la Rebel XT. Usada. Me llega de los estados unidos en 3 semanas masomenos.
Asi que tengo que sentarme en mis manos y esperar.
Iba a comprar la Digital Rebel, pero no estaba seguro, especialmente por que habia estado investigando mucho la XT y lo mucho mejor que era que la Rebel primera. Mi presupuesto fue limitado, asi que espero que la camara funcione completamente, asi que ahora.. esperar.
Mientras sigo usando mi pentax k1000,... pero esperando al reemplazo :)

Im sure that i will need to take 1000 cr4ppy pictures to get some sort of improvement going on. I need to experiment with DOF, with various lightining, and honestly, with film, i can´t afford that.
Hope things go well and i can get my camera for X-mas.

Think its a good idea?

Estoy por comprarme una DLSR. Estoy bastante seguro que va a ser una Canon Rebel XT 8mp con un lente de 18-55mm. Negra si es posible.
La idea me vino a la mente cuando algunas personas me hicieron notar que tener miedo de desperdiciar rollo (desperdiciar rollo = desperdiciar dinero) no va bien con aprender fotografia.
Estoy seguro que voy a tener que sacar 1000 fotos feas para tener alguna clase de mejora. Tengo que experimentar con profundidad de campo, con luces variadas y honestamente, con rollo, no puedo pagar eso.
Espero que las cosas salgan bien y me consiga la camara para navidades.

Pensas que es buena idea?

Estuve pensando en la fotografia y sus limites (sus "no limites"). Tambien note que desarrollar un gusto propio mio y satisfacer el de los demas puede ser dificil al mismo tiempo.
Supongo que estoy analizando lo que me gusta y que cosas son buenas (para mi). Cada foto hace un efecto diferente en cada persona. Necesito descubrir que quiero sentir, antes de sacar la foto. Pienso que eso mejoraria mucho las cosas

Bueno, otra arriba. Todavia estoy viendo como manejar este asunto de sacar fotos. Como guardar las fotos, la camara, etc.
