There's a couple of reasons for this:

1: I'm addicted to Subta and Ponyisland XD

2: My scanner is still the bitchiest bitch of bitches. Luckily my dad has one so if I want anything scanned in I have to take it downstairs with my usb stick, ask him to scan it and then put it on the stick (because his CD-RW drive does not work-he's got my old computer) and then transfer whatever it is to Hisako. This is a total bitch especially when I still havent done my friggin' artist application for subeta. I seriously ned to start working on that very soon i.e before Wednesday at the latest as the deadline is Saturday.

So yeah, thats why I havent been here.

The fact is, if you're on my watch list you'll know that I don't comment like, every entry. I can now assure you, that although I may not comment I do read each and every entry on my friends page-I normally do this once a day.

Simple fact is, I don't see the point in commenting on everything I see just for the sake of it. If I comment I actually normally do have something to say. I'm actually pretty much the same on forums I'm a member of, I don't go around posting mindlessly just to up my post count or whatever. Sometimes my mateys go through shit and I can't offer anything, because I'm not experienced in those matters, I won't offer false advice, I'll offer it when I feel its right. I'm also not one to simply post "awww hun :hugs:" It's just not ME. I want to offer my friends more than hugs, even though sometimes I know that would be enough. Guys i DO care about you and just 'cause I don't post every single time you have stuff going on does not mean I don't. If anyone ever though that, please wipe that from your minds RIGHT NOW. I'm not saying people who do do the :hugs: posts are false, not by any means, its their way of showing they care just not mine. As an empath it really does frustrate me when I CAN'T offer anything because I think I bloody well oughta-why get this stupid "Gift" if I can't do fuck all with it otherwise?

Also on DA I have this horrible, horrible habit of faving and running. Again, I try not to post any comment thats I dunno too generically "ooh pretty". I'd rather fave it to let you know I like it. If I have something in particular I like, I do tend to comment "ooh, like the colour combo" etc. On a personal level I would rather get a handful of detailed comments then a million "omg yay it is so good!" Dunno about you guys, but I prefer quality over quantity.

So: Carrie V, selfish bitch or conscientious commenter? You decide.

AS you all know by now, Jark is no longer a staff member. There are many speculations and accusations flying about about the matter, as well as a fair few other admins stepping down from their posts in protest.

The forums are filled with it, the daily fagvourites is 90% Jark related, the journals are buzzing.

The one thing we must rember is that WE, the members of DA hold the true power. That is now being shown with the Take Back the Communtiy protest for August 7th.

Although I persoanlly have never spoken with any of the admins or Jark may I just use this journal to pass on my best wishes to all of them, no matter what the outcome is. I'm sure I speak for all MY group, The Anti Slang Talking Crew (only two of us are members here even so.) when i say there is no smoke without fire and sooner or later the "new" admins of DA will be called to account.

DA the COMMUNITY wants the TRUTH.

Went to ff.net for an update ad found that they'd decided to go hardline on song fics. NO MORE SONG FICS ARE GOING TO BE ALLOWED INTO THE SITE UNLESS THE LYRICS ARE OF THE AUTHOR'S OWN CREATION! Just a note for all ff.net writers out there.

I have decided enough is enough and have removed every single last one of my fictions from ff.net. I will be posting them here instead now. :huggles devart: The fictionpress account however is still active. they are my own work and I have no issue with that site.

I don't know whether to be hurt by these comments or just plain ignore them. As you may have guessed from the gallery I'm a bit of a anime artist myself.

The reason I'm an anime artist mainly is simple-I've tried and nothing seems to suit me quite as much as anime art. I first caught onto the buzz of anime back when i was 11 and Devilman was shown very very very late on channel 4-cartoons for adults wow!

The whole art thing never really kicked off until i was 13-14 and I saw my now favourtie show of all time New Dominion Tank Police (Al/Leona forever!!). I then managed to find myself an anime magazine and discovered all kinds of stuff. I tried copying styles for a few years until i got the simplified style that is mine-I'm not big on backgrounds as you may have noticed (actual truth is I'm a bit shit!) I love the whole Mahou shoujo/Magical girl stuff especially being as I was never a girly girl (the story behind why I can't even do a simply braid is to do with momma dearest and I'm not going to repeat it here).

I don't watch inuyasha, yugioh, DBZ-used to watch pokemon though. But i got so infuriated when people at my old hellschool would say to me "Oh, you draw like pokemon style" I did not draw pokemon style-I'd been drawing like that for two frickin' years at this point!

I think I'll be continually searching for my owen style and with the addition of american comics into my back catalogue of reference guides a little variety can only be a good thing. But the fact is I'm not a detailed artist. I'd LOVE to be but anytime I try adorning an outfit it all ends up pants Not even a year of art college shook that out of me and I suppose it's time that i got bloody well used to the fact. I'm not going to make a career out of art now, I'm a secretary and a good one too (well so the boss says ^^) But I do love to draw still, itt lets me back into the world of my fanfics/original stories. (speaking of which anybody got any tips for drawing Freddy Krueger? O_O;; He just looks bloody hard to draw!!)

So that's why I'm an anime artist. Simply put-I can't do realistic drawing. SDoesn't mean I can't enjoy realistic drawing though and i'm certainly not one of these who is all "yah anime art is da best n u all can go to hell if u dont like it anime roxxors!" I have books in my reference collection by Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell two of the finest fantasy artists i have ever seen. I love Ethan Van Sciver and Phil Jimeniz's work on the New X-Men comics and also the gorgeous artwork on the new Phoenix: Endsong series (Jean looks so frickin' HAWT!!! >> and the colours are nice too <<

Anyway I just wanted to say I love the fractals sectionhere at Da. There's always something if you go for a random browse, that you just HAVE to take a good look at. I definately recommend fractals to everyone ^^

I have said already I'm the self-proclaimed Outsider Queen and I'm bi myself so this issue is taking up a lot of my thoughts at the moment.

Why do the Christian fanaticals hate these people so much that they deny them the right to be happy with the ones they love?

Reasons I've heard so far:

1: "It's against god's law"

This is going on what is in the bible. I'm very sorry but that book was wrote thousands of years ago!!! It reflects nothing of modern society. It is simply a way for these fanatical people to force their outdated and bigoted views on others.

2: "It's un-natural"

Animals are nothing but natural. They don't live by the laws of the human world and are fit to do as they please. There's certainly no shame in them and as written about and the page I've linked to is not the only one about this behaviour they indulge in homosexual relations. Un-natural my ass.

3: "Marriage is made up of a family unit- man, wife and child. Marriage is for the production of children."

Sooooo if this is true.....then the elderly people who meet their soulmate at age 80 should be BANNED from marrying because OMFGS they can't reproduce!!! They're not even "open" to having children! [/sarcasm]

4: "It destroys the sanctity of marriage!"

Yes SURE it does...as does spousal abuse, divorce, adultery, people having their pets marry and bigamy. Don't see anybody in a fuss when their screwing their mistress/male lover behind their spouses' back I don't see their rights being taken away. If people want to throw stones about the sanctity of marriage then they should perhaps start with the adulterers. Hey, and how about that Britney Spears? Lets take away HER rights because look at what she did! Married a lad then had it annulled twenty hours later because she did it in drink.

Marriage is about LOVE.

Marriage is about finding that one special person who you want to bind yourself in body and soul to for the rest of your life.

Marriage is NOT about religion, producing kids, race, age or gender.

It's about LOVE people.
