Uh, okay. Best parts of the movie? (may contain spoilers!)

1. "You gandered at my ward. YOU GANDERED." [link]
2. Helena Bonham Carter. No, seriously. She rocked. And me saying that really is something.
3. Johnny Depp's hair. What was up with that?! But whatever it was, it was fab. :XD:
4. Like, the entire cast. Really. They were all just so. good.
5. Did I already mention that Anthony gandered? Yeah.

And "By the Sea" was the best number. Ever. Even Patti LuPone and Michael Cerveris could not compare to Johnny Depp's expression. As much as I loved her. And Toby. This was just so good.

Oh, also, this is a really weird late journal, because I saw it like...a week ago, haha. Oh well. Expect some Sweeney art stuff soon. Probably. Most likely.

Happy Thanksgiving, you guys! I hope all of you are having awesome meals, with or without Tofurkey, and getting to see your relatives and all that jazz. But since it's Thanksgiving, you know what that meansss:

IT'S TIME FOR CHRISTMAS AND HANNUKAH STUFF!!1one! (No, seriously, they're already playing Christmas songs on the radio. Which reminds me why I don't listen to the radio too often, haha.)

So I was wondering, who would be interested in doing a DA Secret Santa? It's awesome that now I CAN'T USE ANY NUDE STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY FOR ART REFERENCES. How is it that I'm old enough to take a life drawing class but I'm apparently not mature enough to handle a photograph of a naked body? That's just (censored)ing amazing. It's not like I am not a human who has a body of her own to look at. For God's sake, the human body isn't something to be censored.

If you've written or drawn/painted/sculpted, etc. something, like I know :devdreantides: and I have, now we can't view our own deviations on deviantArt. This is ridiculous. Maybe you guys should all rethink the new policy. I'm thinking that if you're mature enough to handle seeing your own body when you get in the shower, then you're probably mature enough to see a photograph of a naked body.

This is the HUGE definition FROM DICTIONARY.COM UNABRIDGED:

"ma·ture /məˈtʊər, -ˈtyʊər, -ˈtʃʊər, -ˈtʃɜr/ [muh-toor, -tyoor, -choor, -chur], -tur·er, -tur·est, verb, -tured, -tur·ing.

I have bolded the points that most apply to the subject at hand, and have italicized what exactly the dictionary has stated as examples of mature content. Notice the lack of "nudity." Instead, being EXPLICIT sexual content, violence, and language.

However, if you have written or drawn these types of things, I'm betting that you're probably able to handle them. And for your watchers, who've been reading/looking at your art? What about them? They are old enough to read or whatever your stuff, and old enough to GO ON AMAZON AND BUY THEMSELVES A NICE, JUICY EROTICA NOVEL. What is the difference between that and reading what someone has posted in the romance/erotica section of DA? Well, you don't spend any money, for one thing. Maybe your parents don't know; I have no idea what the incentive is. Maybe it's just that the writing is better than a published novel?

And for another thing, let's talk about R. Crumb. We all know who he is, don't we? If not, let's look his books up on Amazon. Dirty? Yes. Art? Also yes. Have we seen the "Sweeter Side of R. Crumb"? Another art book of his! Guess what? This book not only has fully clothed people, but it also has nudes in it! Heaven forbid!!!

Do you know what ALSO has nudes in it? And sex scenes? Sometimes really explicit ones? That's right--PG 13 movies. PEE GEE THIRTEEN.

No big deal, I thought, because on DevArt, at least, if you're leaving a comment and click the back button, all your stuff is usually still there.
