i'm coming to the end of my stay in sunny, hot amazing california, i;ve not had this much time in a long time, the places and faces have been awesome, i reeally can;t tell you. Where ever i have been my eyes have followed and i have bits i'd like to share, have a look out over these next few weeks. probably my favourite 'arty' photos i've taken have been of the golden gate bridge, it was beautiful swimming amoungst the clouds....have a look... i may re-up-date the phtoos when i get home and change contrast and little things like that as i can;t do that and maybe the quality but i will try to stop it going through twice to my watchers

also, i will be surfing, wandering, disneying, and many a photo taken...i've jsut bought a 1gig memory card for my camera and taking a number of 3200 TMAX BW film, which i love, to take pics with mmm big grain so lots will be taken, it will mostly appear here, but end of July when i get back.



on another note, i have just finished college and will be off to the surrey institute of art and design to study photography at degree level...which will be fun, at the mo my end of year art and photography show is up, and when setting up my art teacher came up to me and congratulated me, he was going to award me as the art student of the year! i was like wow....i've been doing photography for it all year as i cant paint or draw ANYWHERE near as good as i can photograph, my glow photos and playground photos were taken for art so there you go.....

anyways, my recent deviantions have all been from my photography exam (which finishes monday wahoo!) titled images within images, i've looked at lotsof other photographers including: Lee Friedlander, Lee Miller, Bill Brandt, Diane Arbus, Raplh Gibson and Garry Winogrand. It has been very interesting for me as its a new diretion I have never looked at before, my photography has been personal to me becasue it's been about they way i look at things, but enver creating emocians etc.....so thats been hard but fun.

Another aspect I have been having diffuculty liking is making my brother and I look alike, being twins we all always get mixed up which gets annoying and we've never dressed the same. I normmally hate photographs of twins looking idnetical as it shows twins arn't indiviuals which we clearly are....lalala grr rant rant etc. so its been tough for me to acept taking photos of me and my brother I like the results jsut have difficulty liking them other than they are iamges that work well...if that makes any sense please tell me LOL

anyhoos my photo course finishes monday...then i have to decide if im going to surrey or nottinghma trent to study photography at degree level.....i cant decide! ive got offers from both! anyhoos...so long folks and please can peeps comment om my twin stuff......i kinda would like to know if other people like them, thinkt hey work etc as i've not been able to get much feedback from tutoprs at the mo as they cant help me in my exam etc.....

anyhoos...art and photo exams damn close now! 'glow' photos are for art and the 'images within images' are for my photo exam, im very busy with thema t the mo, comments as always are greatly appreciated.

And on top of that my show in a coffee shop goes up this coming friday, sorted most stuff but still have a bit to do got soem 5"x7" 's to print and two 12"x16" 's to print, i will be done jsut its kinda a bit ofma rush due to lack of time cos fo exams and interviews, and guess what>? my interview with my 1st choice uni is gunna be the week before my photo exam how good is that? not! and i have to take two days off as its in flamouth which is MILES away! oh well......

ok onto the new year, new years eve was fun filled with lots of homemad oreo cookie and baileys ice cream!

this year...well university applications for studying photography are underway, ive got my first interview on the 26th of this month, portfolio work is going well, got all the iamges sorted, need to re print a few and print some digital ones aswell, them im done wahoo!!

so basically lots of work, not jsut photo, art and chem too exams and coursework are catching up with me, but at the end of the day it will be worth while if i get into somewhere good
