i've done oil paintings, charcoal drawings, pictures with pastel, etc.
lol, i'm actually a better drawer/painter than photographer...
but somehow, none of that work has really shown up on dA.

recently, i've come across a really strange fact:
my left hand is quite good at drawing, too!
haha, i'm a righty and somewhat perfectionist, so making the thickness and darkness of my lines usually matter.
but drawing with my left hand is a lot more free and full of surprises.
i really love it. lolll!
the lines just seem more "original" or something.
something good.

one day i'll upload some drawings or paintings.
(i'm over with anime, for those who've known me longer. lol.)

out came "entity eternity", which ariel and i shot just today.
it was really fun, as usual!
i'm still trying to experiment more,
so most of this series were candids where i didn't do so much directing,
but had ariel do whatever she wanted.

in the summer at some point,
i'll be upgrading yet again to another camera:
the canon eos 5d mark ii.
i can't believe it!

anupa and allegra also came with us.
the point of going to new york city was for one purpose: photoshoots.
we just took up random streets that were empty enough for use.
new yorkers are great that way, because no one cared to be snotty and tell us to leave.
they just looked on as we worked, but kept walking all the same.
i want to live in the city one day,
but at the same time, it's kind of scary.

my photos were only decent,
but not good enough to make up for the effort of actually getting into the city.
that sucks. oh well. x:

i guess it also has to do with my lack of models. and i don't go out nearly enough around this time to take pictures of strangers walking along. and though this doesn't seem significant enough a reason to complain: i don't have a good camera, either. lol. there. i said it. and my money-saving towards a dSLR continues... (current: $200. needed: x__x)

i wish i could drive. one of the big places i want to photograph is new york city, since it's the next best thing that's also not too far away from where i live. i should probably look into some national parks too. i hear new jersey has a sculpture park somewhere.
