Requiem X is my first artbook and features forty 8.5"x11" pages of exclusive images done by me. The first half of the book is dedicated to inked and toned images whereas the second is filled with my rough sketches and ideas. ...wow, I feel fucking ANCIENT.

Well, perhaps it's still a bit early, i'm still nineteen, but my twentieth birthday is sneaking up! May 18th spells disaster-- i'm gonna be chillin with my new homies watching belly dances, Narnia and Indie Jones. OH HARRISON FORD, YOU CAN EXCAVATE ME ANYTIME.

HOLY CRAP. And like... this is amazing but... i've taken Algebra 2 four times now and NOW I think I may pass! I got a B+ on my last exam so i'm reeeaaalllyy hoping this is the last time i've got to put up with it!

Dear fellow art afficionados, friends, lovers and faithful supporters

I'm going to be gone for a while (as if I haven't been gone for a while already). I'm in the middle of transferring schools and moving so I have little if not time to myself these days...

School begins at 10.30am for me and ends at 10.30pm so I'm always eating out and as a consequence i'm gaining weight, ohnoez!

On the bright side the weather is becoming quite pleasant and the long days at school are a bit more bearable with a blossom-scented breeze wafting through my car window.

Also, I found out credit cards are the worst thing ever because of those things called limits. I forgot that when I lost my first card I got a replacement, but that replacement got put somewhere safe and i'm using my other card which has a shitty low limit cuz I never used it. For the last 2 months i've been forgetful about this and as a result i've drained my debit resources. Hmf. I wish text books were free like in the good ol' high school days.

I'm suddenly breathless...

It feels like I'm drowning and it's so scary yet exhilarating at the same time. Things are finally starting to work out, or at least that's how things look to me from the horizon, but I'm still too far away to tell. I'm 19 and I haven't even started living yet, what's there to fear? What do I have to lose? I doubt I'd be sorry that I've died when I'm actually dead and gone.

I don't want to be afraid anymore, but I'm worried that all my dreams may come crashing down on me in the next few months. I've got everything riding on this once chance, this one change-- my entire future happiness depends on one tiny factor! I'm anxious and scared and desperate for something, anything to make it alright. Everyone else had their chance, their piece of the pie, and now it's my turn. Give me my god damn fork and let me dive in because I can't stand waiting here any longer. I'm starving for my life to begin the way I want it to be.

In less confusing news... Lin and I decided "fuck it, let's go sky-diving" for her birthday. We figure we'd rather die underneath a hot guy while experiencing a minute of flight than die complete and total virgins in some stupider manner of death such as choking on a spoon (shut up, it happens). We set the date to somewhere between March 29-April 7, but it really depends on the weather.

After that we get back to work on our new comic. I can't spill the details, but basically it's one comic idea split into two. There's the serious action/drama/survival horror comic which will be done in collaboration by Lin and I and then the parody of said comic done in 4-panel by yours truly. Thee 4-panel one already has 30+ strips, I just need to get unlazy and start posting them. We're mainly doing this comic to get some 3-4 year old ideas off our chests and move onto the next daunting task which is.... something you'll find out about later.

I wish I was more motivated, but school has sucked me dry. I have some work to finish, including my art book which had to be pushed back again because I'm literally juggling 4 separate comics, commissions from x-days ago, gift pics, trades, school, preparing for Fanime and lots of other things. This month has been full of all-nighters for Lin and I and it's getting really irritating for both of us, but the good news is that once it's done it's DONE.

I'm really just rambling now, aren't I? I wanna thank you all for taking your time to comment on my journals and polls, I enjoy reading all your comments. You guys also give some awesome advice, and I'm sorry I rarely reply back, but I kind of suck at commenting on comments and whatnot. Just know that I read everything you guys post here, everything. I'm like Big Brother and I'm always watching you. I need to start thinking up some more interesting polls though, I miss you're shocked comments X3 reading your horrified responses always makes my day, haha. You guys are incredibly honest! It's good to have friends who will spill their guts on the first try.

Oh yeah, about that $800 school debt thing... That got figured out a few fays ago, so I'm only in debt for about $250 in recent spendings. I need to hurry up and make monies cuz I only have $8 in my bank account so I don't wanna hafta filch anymore from Lin or my parents. I just got rejected for a job too soooo... back on the market. Adventure 3: Lars

Well, my brother's epicness is unfathomable, but i'm going to try and jot down a few more memorable (and shorter) things he's done. D'awuuu, I hate the guy :3

Lars 1: One time Lin and I walked into Lars' room and saw him collecting ants one by one and dropping them onto his window sill. Perplexed by this we went over to his window sill and asked him what he was doing. His reply, "I'm making sacrifices to this spider so it won't bite me." Just so you know my brother has a huge fear of bugs so it was really entertaining to see the lengths he'd go to keep them from "biting him".

Lars 2: Lin and I were downstairs doing..something (probably watching tv) when we heard a shriek come from my bro's room. He starts calling me frantically so we rush in to see what's wrong. He's on his bed flipping out that there's a spider. "Kill it! Kill it!" He was pointing like a God damn hunting dog all over the room. I ask him where the spider went or what it looked liek and he told me "like a tank with 8 legs!" I figured it was a jumping spider since we've seena few in the house so I sketched it out while he drew his interpretation...which was a box with seven legs and like 5 eyeballs. I showed him my sketch and he grudingly agreed it mildly looked liek what I drew but rmoe closely resembled his image. The whole day he was afraid to reenter his room for fear of spider. Oh yeah, he was 22 at the time... *pussy*

Lars 3 (boners): My brother has a penchant for not caring who sees his dick, even if it's his little sister or guests T__T;; Anyway, here are a few instances of his penile rampages: Lin and i were watching the original Saw movie when my brother comes out of his room with a huge morning wood to get a glass of water. I tell him "uh, Lars, look down". He looks down at his wood, looks at me and continues on his way to get ice. Then he proceeded to scratch the damn thgin while walking around and not even caring that, ya know, Lin and I were RIGHT THERE.

THIS IS A VERY LONG POST.

Well, I decided I would replace horribly pessimistic journal with a more light-hearted journal! Let's begin our adventure into....*LINJALAND!

Adventure 1: Our First Dildo

First off let's make it known that dildos are really fucking expensive. I had been searching on the internet for cheap jelly dildos to use for our infamous drilldo project and I found a couple of $8 dollar ones but the shipping was like $30 bucks so Lin and I decided to scrap internet buying and just drive into the heart of San Francisco to procure our elusive first dildo. We pick a really shitty day to drive into the city; its raining and there's traffic everywhere. That's ok though because we're totally stoked about buying a dildo. After about an hour and a half later we make it into the city and begin the search for parking. HAH, we are so naive... We end up going in a giant rectangle for about 20 minutes looking for parking and nearly hitting every pedestrian because apparently the middle of an intersection is where you're supposed to cross when there's oncoming traffic. Anyway, we end up having to park in a pay lot so we dish out $7 bucks to a Russian guy and set out looking for Good Vibrations, a local sex shop.

After about 10 minutes of walking in the frigid wind and rain we realize we have no idea if we're going in the right direction since we only know what street the damn store was on and not the actual address. After a little bit of asking around we finally get directions and make it to the store doors. Apparently 2 large steps isn't large enough because everyone..thought..we were lovers x__x

Ok, so to replace my first bitch-post ima be explaining why i'm in a bitching mood.

My dad and step-mom are loaded with cash so we live in a nice house on the outskirts of the city with a gorgeous view. I have a nice room with a wonderful bathroom. We have 2 maids come monthly to clean the house, or in my case to clean my bathroom (my room is off limits cuz I hate people touching my shit). These maids always fuck things up. A few months back they scarred our cherry wood floors and my dad felt bad so he didn't complain or anything. They fucked up our stove a while back too so one of the heater things wouldn't turn on for a while. They broke the handle of my shower so now I can't turn the water on. There's a lot of other minor things too but the point is when you're paid to do something you do it well and if you fuck up you tell someone.

Here comes another annoyance.... so my parents have a lot of cash but they hate spending it. Most the time if I want something I have to pay for it. What's even more lame is that I have to pay for parts of my Xmas gifts too if I want anything ahha. Anyhow, they're cheap so they sent me to a junior college to save money. Now when i'm about to transfer to an out of state school my step mom wants me to apply for this other school where i'll just have to stay at home...then she tells me I need to start looking for a job to pay for my tuition. UHM, YOU SAID IF I STAY AT HOME I WOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING. Now that I want to go to an out of state school I have to pay all my tuition on my own, and I'd be moving out this summer anyhow so I don't understand why she told me to find a summer job. I think she doesn't believe that i'm leaving. I feel like punting her in the cunt.

Also, my room smells like death. I'm not kidding, it's not just a bad smell, its the stench of fucking rotting flesh. I like using dead animals for art projects (you'll see some stuff i've made using minks once I seal them) so I collect dead animals to use. I had 8 dead pheasants and some parts of a senegal parrot being preserved with borax in my room but I guess the parrot started to go bad so then everything went stanky. It'd been ok for the past month because it's been cold, but yesterday we had an abnormally warm day and it made the damn parrot bloat and smell. Ugh. You may be wondering "why don't you do that shit outside?" Well, because it's been raining a lot and I don't want the feathers getting ruined. Also, my backyard is currently being used to dry my deer carcass X3

I've had no time for art recently either and it's making me irritated. Most of this month has been dedicated to school work so my nights are mainly for homework or studying for exams or preparing projects. For those of you who are curious I finished my drilldo project and it is THE BEST FUCKING DRILLDO IN THE WORLD. So uhmm... Lin and I have been doing various things to keep our minds from atrophing and our bodies from producing too much fat. We used to fence (as in swordfight), but we haven't ben doing that as of late. Recently our new vice has been to learn belly dancing. It's really sad when you've got more belly than dance which, unfortunately, is my case. That's ok cuz the whole point of this is to lose weight anyway! Also, apparentrly I had less money than I anticipated this month... I spent over $100 on textbooks last month and then I went to pay for my school application fee to SOU and uhm... I only have $10.92 >___> Guess paying for that will have to wait until I have more funds. Lol, Lin and I were laughing about how poor we were today. Even after we got all our li si for New Years we still had to pay off all kinds of things. Today we went to the bank to give up our last $150 to pay credit card things. Why is school so fucking expensive!?

BUT THAT'S OK, YOU WANNA KNOW WHY? Because i'm 3/4 done with Requiem X so if I hustle this month I can have it out by March. But...march is so far away and fees are due in March too ;o; I think i'm going to be selling a lot of my personal effects soon, so if I do it'll be like huge internet garage sale. Anyone interested in my old junk? Haha, it'll probably be old clothes and random keepsakes and whatnot. What if I sold original art here? Mind you I won't be charging a billion bucks for anything cuz I need money soon and fast so it'll probably be $30 and under.

Speaking of holidays Valentines Day is quickly approaching. In other news I might have breast cancer lol. Why is it lulzy? Well, i'm only 19 and i'm not even an a-cup, so it just seems sort of silly to me. I'm not really worried about it cuz the chances of it really being cancer are quite minimal, but it's best to be safe. See, i've had this little cyst like ball on my left breast for the past month (or more, I don't recall), and then some other symptoms of breast cancer started appearing. Now my damn boob is dry and itchy and has a damn lump. I've been treating it as a cyst and using heat compresses but it hasn't gone down any. Plus cancer is kind of rampant in my family history (killed 3/4 of my grandparents) so I have a higher risk factor. Ironically we just had a lecture on breast cancer in human sexuality ( we got to feel fake testicles for cancer haha). Anyway, I doubt it's cancer but better safe than sorry, right? I need to set up an appointment for this and jsut get a general physical out of the way too. Do you know that I haven't had a physical or check-up in over 10 years? Haha, I really need to start making health one of my higher priorities.

I don't care about dying from cancer just pls don't remove my nipples :[

For the past couple of years Lin and I have been participating in Fanime's Artist Alley. The first time we sold anything was in 2006 so we were pretty new to the whole lisenscing thing. After the con we paid our taxes (a bit late, but we paid). A couple months later we get phone calls and letters saying we haven't paid. I pay again, this time online and with an additional penalty fee added just in case. I get a fucking confirmation and everything about my payment. I get another warning letter in the mail and a few more phone calls and then nothing. I don't hear from them again. In 2007 I was able to get signed under another artis's studio so Lin and I could sell (taz free, yaya). This year, however, there are complications. Apparently we can't live off of people's good graces forever, so I guess i'll have to face tax people again. I'm just worried that they'll be all "oh btw you owe us 2 yearrs of penalty fees lulz, pay up bitch".

Stupidest: I spent this weekend grounded lol. I know, I know, how can 19 year old pi-e be grounded? Beats the hell outta me, I was equally as stunned. Wanna know why I was grounded? I spent my own money to buy a bag via interweb, only $15, but it was a bag my stepmom didn't want to buy for me. So I guess her not buying it means I can't buy it for myself or something. I was "disrespectful" and I "offended her" so the bag was confiscated after she raided my room "looking for towels" (uhm, towels in my motherfucking drawers whut?). God I hate living under a dictator. I keep telling myself that Fall 2008 means officially living in Oregon full time, that is of course if I can pay for tuition. My dad is slowly becoming a jerk-off due to the retarded spouse.

Coolest: Lin and I get to make a "drilldo" for school. Drilldo. BBBZZRRTTTTT--I am totally fucking serious. A fucking bzzrttttttt dremmel drill with a zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrttt dildo attached to it. OMG I can't wait to walk into class that day and just fire it up, vroom vroom! Haha, it's for human sexuality class so Lin and I got put in charge of sex toys. We, being rampant pervs of course, are going to "FuckingMachines" in SF to interview some ladies who get fucked by sexrobots on a daily basis. Then we build out own. HOW FUCKING WIZARD IS THAT SHIT? Ok, well, I guess i've been around long enough to actually need one of these, so here goes!

THE OFFICAL GUIDE OF EVERYTHING PI-E

Q: Who are you?
A: I'm Pi-e! But I guess if you wanted a more specific, in depth answer I would have to say that i'm 19, a college student struggling to survive, enamored with art and music, and disillusioned by thoughts of future grandeur. I also like zombies and werewolves :F.

Q: When did you start drawing?
A: Ever since I could pick up a pencil or crayon or probably even some shit i fished out of my diaper. Gross, but unfortunately that's a true story (and it haunts me to this day at various dinner parties). I started getting into the habit of drawing in sixth grade, but back then I wa primarily an anthro artist. Anime was an affliction that happened in seventh/eigth grade and i've been ill with it ever since.

Q: Why do you only draw anime?
A: Oh God, if only there was a good reason. Well, I may not have a good reason, but I do have a practical one. I suck at realism. Anime is so much easier to do than drawing "traditionally" or "realistically" because you can play with proportions/colors/ideas and it's still in the realm of safety. It's all style and no real physical truths. Also, like drawing, it's become a bad habit of mine. I simply don't know any other way to draw u__u;;

Q: When you're drawing, what's your medium of choice?
A: Digital! I would absolutely die without my tablet; he is my one true love (yes, he's a he and his name is Lark). I draw in sketchbooks a lot and on loose paper, but I feel most comfortable drawing via tablet because, again, realm of safety. If I fuck up i've got my magical undo keys. I've also got access to nifty layers, smooth lines and zoom functions.

Q: What programme do you use to color with?
A: I am a rabid fan of OC3.0+. I find Photoshop and Corel to be too large and cumbersome of programmes, and OC has everything I really need. But if you like to use lots of custom brushes and filters and shit I say opt for one of the larger programs; they have a lot more options than modest little OC.


Q: Will you draw me a picture?
A: Not unless you're paying me. I'm sorry, I get asked this a lot but the answer is going to always have to be "no." Art is something I enjoy so I wanna spend time drawing what I want to, not what you want to. And between commissions, gift-art, trades and my own personal things, I really don't have time to be drawing free requests.


Q: Will you accept an art trade with me?
A: Aaaah, I have to say no! First and foremost I have to finish what's already on my plate, so no, I can't accept anymore trades for the time being.

Q: Can I draw you giftart?
A: Yes, of course! I don't know why anyone would ever say no to this. I love seeing my characters drawn, and I love receiving gifts (it's like an early xmas). Just please, don't defile my characters in any weird ways. I won't get mad at you for inflating Aja or Isru, but I can't guarantee that I'll be thrilled about receiving it either.

I think it's time I make an actual journal about my upcoming artbook, Requiem X.

Requiem X: A collection of Black and White images done exclusively for this project as well as a sample of never before seen sketches. There is a light macabre theme throughout a good portion of the images in the book, so be prepared for some blood as well as other things that may be seen as "dark". There is a good mixture between boys and girls so don't think the book is focused on one gender either. The book will run 20 pages and be sold on Lulu for around $20. A release date has yet to be determined, but probably somewhere in late February or early March.

This book is by no means professional, nor was it meant to be. To me it's more like a journal to record my progress while experimenting with BW images. You'll see some images which look very plain and then others that become progressively more detailed as I get a better handle of the pen. Conversely, the sketches will show you how my work looks naturally--no nice inks or colors to hide my mistakes, just raw ideas.

Yay, first entry of 2008!

Ok, well, here's an update on hte whole wallet schpeel. I cancelled my debit/credit cards, got my spare insurance card, got a brand new never before seen pharmacy card WITH THE NAME OF A PHARMACIST ON IT (oxycotton and city streets here I come), and scheduled a time for me to get a new driver's lisence. I'm still out of $150 but at least my identity is still mine.

Anyhow, about the whole sell your friend thing...don't worry, it's a joke! Lin and I are just flat broke, so one of the many schemes we were considering was having her join that pseudo-porn site SuicideGirls. They pay really well so we were like "hrrmmm", but I was more so "hrrrmmmmmmmmmm yes!" than Lin was XD Maybe it's because it wasn't my body we were going to sell? Anyway, no need to think i'm a coniving greedy bitch because i'm not going to sell nude photos of my best friend via the interweb. Despite the fact that I voted "yes, it's a lot of monies" I really meant "no, they're charing too little :I". Uhm, I mean, no-- I value our friendship way too much!

Only one day left until school starts again, NOOOOOOOOOO!! I sill have commissions I wanted to get done ;__; I thought maybe i'd stay on track this break but it turns out I suck and I spent the whole time doing fun things like visiting Zamomo and working on a battle for Void. Man, I need to straighten out my priorities.. I wish I had a big motivation button on my head that would activate everytime I did face palm or face desk.

Speaking of Void though, it's in a serious battle drought! We need new artists who can contribute to the site!! You should all consider submitting a character to the incubator asap--once you're accepted the fun can really begin! Who knows, maybe one day we'll even battle haha. But seriously, think about it. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday this christmas!

I had planned on having all the xmas cards I was making posted on Xmas, but recently I've been preoccupied with puppylove and fell behind... So, for those people wondering 'where the hell is my xmas card you stupid cunt' just know that they're on the way. I'll have the digital versions posted before New Years and you should have your hard copy+real handdrawn stuff once I can print the digital ones.

Also, TKAY, YOUR COOKIES ARE DELICIOUS!! If you say that you made that bread slice then we're eating that too cuz omg scrumpdiddilyumptious!

And now back to my normal woe-is-me rant... For Xmas I got $100 from my folks and $50 from my uncle. I carefully put the money in my wallet as to not lose it and went to an xmas party with Linface. The ast time I had my wallet I took it out of my bag to show our lil sis then put it back into the bag, underneath my cell and my keys.

My wallet is missing.

MISSIIINGGGGGG!!

My wallet had EVERYTHING! It had my credit card, my gas card, my CA ID, my college ID, my driver's lisence, my Paypal Debit, my insurance card, my monies... At least my SS wasn't in there. But the thing is that I don't think I lost or misplaced it. And I doubt it fell out of my bag because I would have heard it and it would have had to work it's way out from underneath my other effects. But I don't wanna insinuate that Lin's cousins are thieves either...but man, i'm so bummed and perplexed cuz I don't really wanna cancel 3 cards and lose my ticket money to Oregon. On top of that I can't legally drive now -___-;; I just wanna know where the fuck it is!?

Is anyone here psychic? Can you somehow spirit my wallet back to me? I don't care so much about the cash cuz that's replacable, but those cards are all big hassles. Pleeaaaseee, wallet, come back to me ;__;

I've spent the last month working on my 3 other classes, totally ignoring my core class, Political Science. So with 2 weeks left I find myself going "HOLY SHIT I'M FUCKED". Hey, everybody, it's that time again! Today was Black Friday and I wonder if anyone went shopping at 4am? I didn't... But that's ok, cuz I already started buying gifts a few days ago with Lin X3

This year I want to have a great christmas. If any of you remember last year was probably the worst i've ever had, so this year I wanna make up for it. Theme: The world has always been plagued by mankinds darkest fears, and, with Halloween quickly approaching the demons of the night are banding together to take over once and for all. It is up to you, DA denizens, to decide the outcome of this battle. Will you join the Black Cats, an elite band of zombie hunters and demon slayers? Or will you turn to the dark side and fight alongside vampires and werewolves as a part of The Ravens? Pick your side and suit up cuz the battle is about to being!



Rules & How To's: Choose whether you want to fight with the humans (Black Cats) or the creatures of the night (The Ravens). Once you've established your allegiance you have to draw yourself or your avatar as either a Black Cat or a Raven.

Rules for Black Cat entries: Black Cats must be human or furry, no vampires or werewolves or anything *those go in the Raven section*. Your image must include a bit of data on the Black Cat like name, DOB and whatever junk you wanna include. Also, a weapon must be included. You can't go about sending demons back to hell with your words alone, right?

Rules for Raven entries: Ravens must be one of the 5 classes depicted in the Raven group image (zombie, vampire, demon, witch and werewulv). Please pay attention to the certain characteristics of each class and incorporate that into your drawing (ie vampires have tiny wings so if you're a vampire you should have lil wings too). Also include a bit of data on the image like name, DOB or whatever you feel like telling us about yourself.

Once you have drawn your image please post it on DA and comment or note me with the image so I can add them to this journal. I plan on drawing pictures for this so I want references of everyone who joins a side!

Deadline: There is no deadline to become a Black Cat or a Raven, but there is a deadline to be a part of a possible series of group images. This deadline is November 25!

Prizes: Everyone is a winner here, but in order to be included in the possible group pic you have to have submitted your entry by the deadline.

Rules for Raven entries: Ravens must be one of the 5 classes depicted in the Raven group image (zombie, vampire, demon, witch and werewulv). Please pay attention to the certain characteristics of each class and incorporate that into your drawing (ie vampires have tiny wings so if you're a vampire you should have lil wings too). Also include a bit of data on the image like name, DOB or whatever you feel like telling us about yourself.

10 of my favorite things (in no particular order):

1. Root beer floars...mmmnomnomnom! I especially love it when the ice cream melts and makes a creamy delicious drink of epic tastiness *3*

2. Puppies OMGWHOCANNOTLOVETHEM!? With their waggy little tails and their cute wet noses and eeee big feets! Ohmigosh I could just cuddle an armload of puppies all day long!

3. Listening to music...I have over 6000 songs so i've got music for all my moods. When I wake up its energetic, when I go to sleep its soothing and sweet, when i'm mad is angry and bitter and when i'm sad it's lonesome and forlorn. I don't know if I could survive without music--it's like my spiritual blood.

4. Lin! I've had a slew of best friends, and I loved and cherished them in their own ways..but only for so long. Even best friends grow apart *sadly it's usually me who does this* but best BEST friends are perfect... If Lin were a man i'd be head over heels for her. She's like my non-romance soulmate. We're those 2 puzzle pieces in the boxes that fit so well they get stuck and you can't take them apart.

5. Dressing up. God I love to play dress up...I wish I had more outfits! I love wearing cute costumes that I buy or design/make and then wearing em around and taking photoshoots. 2 of my fave costumes are on sale right now and I have no monies to buy them ;__; Everytime I slip into something other than my regular clothes, be it my riding cape or my bolero dress, I feel like i'm entering somewhere else..like the only thing that doesn't match up is the other losers not dressed like me hahaha.

6. Drawing is so fun! I mean yah, art isn't my one true passion, but it's damn close! All I do is draw..every day, every hour. Wherever I am i'm doodling and if I don't have anything to doodle with I start day dreaming about allt he stuff I wanna draw later. I just wish I could draw everything that came to mind. Drawing is a huge chunk of my life and it probably will be until I go blind or something.

7. My passion is travel! God I dream about it all the time... all those far off shores, distant horizons, rolling hills and trecherous peaks. UGHNN I wanna see the world. The parts i've seen don't satisfy me, they're only am appetizer for the rest of the world that I need to see.

8. Lolz obligatory girl remark...SHOPPING! I swear if I had loads of money everyone would have christmas everyday with my shopping habits. It's not that I love to spend money *i'm pretty good at saving up*, but I love to go out and window browse and try stuff on and buy gifts for people. I bet half of Lin's wardrobe came from my wallet.

9. My mommy's cooking is by far one of the most delicious experiences this side of the pecos! She used to be a chef--in fact she was a special hire chef where only rich people would hire her to cook. Eating her food is like the only orgasm i've ever had cuz it's just that fucking awesome. All you losers are stuck with subpar food, but mom's shit is the real deal.

10. Sleeping/cuddling are one int he same to me cuz they usually occur within the sleep time. I start off my napping/sleeping sessions with a good cuddlenuzzlelove and then move onto sweet, sweet dreams. Dreams are always nicer when you're with somebody cuz ya know if u wake up from a nighmare u can always cuddle again. There is one badside tho-- when they cuddle your head in their sleep and you can't breath >:[

10 things I want to accomplish, see or do in my life:

1. I want to tour Europe..and not the cheap tourist 1 week shit..the 3 month to a year journey across everything.

2. I want to...get married. I know that sounds stupid but I wanna fall in love and get married. I wanna make thigns work and I want to have a wonderful future until I or my husband die.

3. I want to adopt a child. I would much rather have my own child except for the fact that i'd hafta push it out..so adopting seems more realistic *and less painful* to me. I think I want 2 boys and they'd be older..maybe 4-5 years old.

4. I want to move to Tuscany or somewhere else with sprawling hills when i'm old with Lin. We wanna ride our old lady Vespas and spread crazxy rumors about ourselves liek we killed our husbands or we're retired spies or..something.

5. Appear in a hentai comic hahaha. I know this one is beyond dorky but since i'm not getting any in real life might as well allow paper-me to get pounded xo

6. Write a novel. I love writing but I never bring anything to completion...I wanna AT LEAST ONCE bring a creation to life and allow others to read it. I want them to experience my worlds even if they think they're horrid...I just want them to know what beauty and monstrosities I day dream of and I want to share that so badly.

7. Have a photoshoot in a castle. That'd be so fucking badass. Omg i'd die from the beauty..especially if we were in Ireland *0*

8. Mean somethign to someone. I know this can be seen really broadly like "oh you alreayd mean somethign to your friends and family blahblah" but what I mean is I want to be someone's everything. That may be selfish but...I feel the need to live for other people more than myself, so if someone need me, depends on me, loves me for everything then I want to be everything to them and make them happy.

9. Go to Alaska. I think i'll be moving there within 4 years or so since...well...it's alaska, fuck you.

10. Explore the Amazon. Do you KNOW how badly I want to scale those giant trees? Or pluck a kinkajou off a branch or attack a coatimundi!? I wanna go wild int hat place and ugghhhh amazooonnnn

1. I'm afraid to open notes on DA cuz i'm afraid someone is going to yell at me or flame me or something...This would explain the long pauses in communication with me >__>

2. I've met more than 10 people i've talked to on DA in real life. I've even been to Disneyland with ~SilentReaper and had numerous sleepovers with *zambi and ~mopinks

3. I owned ALL the Dragon Heart action figures...that's right, all of them. Dragon Heart. I even had them ligned up above my bed so they could fight off bad dreams with their dragony rage.

4. My dad is the love child of Bruce Willis and Kevin Costner.

5. I have an irrational fear of bathroom mold. If it's the color pink I CANNOT touch it and it gives me shivers to take bottles that have been ontop of pink mold. Grey mold makes me want to gag. Ironically for about a year I cultivated different types of mold in separate jars to see if I could grow my own penicillin.

6. I have a strange attraction to gourds and squashes...November is an especially bad month for me because then all the giganto pumpkins come out and I just can't stop squealing and petting their orangey fatness.

7. I went to religious school for the first few years of my schooling..and the school looked just like the visitor center of Jurassic Park. Thatched roof and everything.

8. While i'm driving I like to sing what it is i'm doing exactly. Am I making a right turn? Putting my wipers on? Am I going to break the law? Ohhuuu yeeaaaahhh~~~

9. My ex-boyfriend turned into a goth crossdresser.

10. I gain and lose weight extremely easily. I can gain 5 lbs in 2 days and lose it in 2 days....the only thing is i'm constantly eating junk and never really working out so my weight stays pretty constant..but when I DO work out I can lose 20 lbs in like 2 weeks. I can also gain it back faster x__x

So the community sketchbook project may be up and running soon...probably in about a month or so, so heads up to everyone who's going back to school. There are a few problems Lin and I need to tinker with about the whole thing but we'll get it done.

Also, Project PinkStripes, our lil porn endeavor, is on hiatus until we can finish building the site. The person who promised to make it has big college thigns to finish so while those things get taken care of we keep doodling pornie goodness.

JESUS H I've never wanted my camera more than ever. In the last 3 years i've broekn 2 nikons...I really need to stop doing this. After Fanime I promised myself i'd save to buy a newer, nicer camera, an SLR maybe, something that i'd cherish and never break...but all my monies have dwindled away to almost nothing. If I pulled out every penny I ever found in my dryer I could maybe manage to buy a CoolPix L12. Maybe. But should I?

Recently i've needed money more than ever. It's so funny because before August I had near $500 and now i'm broke. Stupid money issues had to come up right when I needed money.

Since i've decided on going to art school my family decided that I have to pay for it myself. Cuz US art schools are total cockheads i've turned to schooling in canada cuz tuition is much cheaper. Still, repaying 50k+ is quite daunting.

Then I was supposed to go to oregon this month but it turns out if I wanna go I hafta collect like $100+ to pay for gas/groceries/etc...it sucks when you hafta start paying for yer parent's responsibilities :/ Can't wait for harvest season. Thank Oregon for it's drug laws *thanks oregon*.

And Christmas is coming up..I know it's actually a few months away but but but i've gotta save up my money for presents...I NEED TO BUY PRESENTS FOR MY FRIENDS needneedneed...I have this weird compulsion where if I don't get them something I feel like a shithead for the next 6 months. I'd rather suck a fat cock than go without buying gifts...Think of those poor children sitting under the tree with no gifts. Can't let that happen.

Then I had to cough up $80 bucks 2 nights ago to my stepmom for buying some how-to art books..which I HAD asked for beforehand and got the ok to get. Yet still I find myself paying for all this shit I was told was already paid for. I also get blamed for paying my tuition twice ftw? You know it's retarded when I say ftw.

So ~pokie-boo and I are doing this little sketchbook exchange with ~0-Duredhel-0. It's proving to be really fun and I can't wait to see Didi's half of the trade.

I thought it would be pretty fun if maybe we turned this into a little community thing? Like a bunch of people could sign up to join and then in an alotted amount of time (prob a few months) go and buy a small sketchbook (we're using a 6"x8" 24sheet drawing pad for our trade) and then fill it up with sketches/rants/whatevers for your trade person. The person you'll be drawing for will probably be random but you'll all probably know who's drawing for you. Then, at the end of the time we'll somehow all exchange addresses or..something? and send the sketchbooks? I dunno. But because of the whole scheme involving some money and effort only those people who are really serious about finshing the sketchbook and sending it out will be considered. I also want there to be a certain skill level involved so no one gets a sketchbook full of copied pictures or stick figures.

I dunno if i'll be participating or not *probably will* since Lin and I are working on a special sketchbook for a friend who just went through a terrible ordeal. We should have time to work on another book or so so that should be ok.

I've done a few animations in my time and let me say this, I was not born with a talent for animating. In fact, i'm not very good at it at all. Eeverything I do comes out choppy, uneven and very messy. But despite all my short-comings in animation I decided to attempt something I hear a lot of people dread--the walk cycle!



ISN'T IT SO AMAZING!? Well it is to me considering everything else has come out god awful >___> I plan to ink/color each frame (maybe add in a few other frames to make the transition between the KFs more complete). Ok, first off, thank you all so much for all the helpful feedback on my last entry. I've spent the week doing research on various schools and whatnot and asking a lot of people in forums and calling up schools and stuff. I think i'm starting to get a better feel for this.

Do you guys know which art fields are doing the best in the states. I'm primarily interested in knowing how well concept designers/illustrators/2d animationists/3d animationists do out in the "real world". I want to do art but I don't want to pick a field in it that won't offer me any jobs.

So if you've attended art school or are currently attended or hired or whatever, what did you study/major in and how are you doing job wise? Which companies have hired you? Do you make enough money to survive?

Help.

I don't know what to do with myself. Senior year of highschool I was banking on going to vet school because I liked animals, it was a tolerable job and I would be with my best friend...I found out that wouldn't work so I thought of my next option, becoming a school teacher. I know I could do it, but the only thing that really interested me were the vacations. So then I started talking to some friends of mine who attend art school....and this is where our story begins (well...this was a prologue, not a beginning. shut up).

I never thought of art as a career because no one ever encourage me to do it. Even though i've always drawn my family was always "oh, a nice hobby..now study up on human psychology, you're going into the medical field" or something. I never even considered it as an option. But art is what i'm constantly doing, it's what I enjoy, it's what I don't grow tired of. Is art the right thing for me to move into?

To all who go to art school: what are your ambitions? What problems do you face? What schools are you attending? What careers do you plan to go into? Are your job goals just ambitious or are they justified?

anything...I don't care what it is, just tell me anything. Any information, experience, statistics, opinons...I don't care, I just need to know everything about it. I need to know if this is for me.

how ironic is that?

I sign on aim for the first time in a LONG LONG while and there's this very annoying clicking noise everytime I recieved an IM. I disabled AAAAALLLL noises and everything, and the clicking only happens when I recieve messages. This never happened before. I'm usinf 5.9 and refuse to update cuz the newer versions freak me out with their complexities...

anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Ok, first things first, I'M ALMOST DONE WITH A COMMISSION PICTURE. I know, i'm proud of me too ;o; Ok, now that that's said, it's time for my weekly plea for assistance.

Lin and I are actually gunna go through with making a pay porn site. It's going to feature multiple artists (including Lin and I as well as ~0-Duredhel-0 and others) and we'll be posting trimonthy. Our site will also feature guest artists monthly (hopefully). We plan to be majority hentai comics though there will be plenty of pinups every month as well. We'll also try to cover allt eh bases so everyone can enjoy something ie: yaoi, yuri, furry, herms...blahblahporn.

BUT as we all know pi-e is terrible with html and coding and all that shit. I need heeeelp. So here's the dealy-o: I make everything on the site (images, template, text stuff) and someone kindly volunteers to put it all together in a nice website form. If you can help please post a comment in this journal with preferrably a link to something you have put together site wise so I can see if you're what we're looking for.

Hey guys, i'm currently unemployed and it's not cool. I mean, i'm glad I don't have to work but it's starting to suck because I have a lot of expenses building up. I don't want a part-time job or anything like that with actual labor, i'm an artist so i'm lazy. I want an art job.

I can't get hired at my ideal job, Slipshine, cuz the owner doesn't want people approaching him and I don't want to be disrespectful so i'm obeying that rule...but the friends I have who do work for him can't get in contact with him to promote me so i'm guessing that job isn't going to go through. ...at this moment is serial honkers. They wait for the parking garages to get dead silent and then they unleash their HORRIFICALLY ANNOYING FURY. I spend like 6 hours a week in a parking garage just trying to mind my own business and draw or sleep or whatever so it's really irritating when out of no where someone blares their horn for minutes at a time. The latest annoyance happened last week. I was sitting in the car waiting for Lin to get out fo class when all of a sudden this mother fucker starts pounding their horn constantly for like 3 minutes. Ok, maybe they were trying to get someone's attention...five minutes of good ol' silence pass before HOOONK HONK HONKHONK HOOONK!!! This fucking happened for like an hour. What the fuck!? Do they have like honking horn tourettes syndrome??? After the first few initial bouts of honking the stupid asshole made other people join. People formt he firsta nd third levels started blaring their horns too. It also set off car alarms. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS DRAW OR SOMETHING I can't really remember what I was doing. Anyway, serial honkers, I hate 'em.

I picked up a few copic markers and uhm, yeah, I suck. I'm trying to get the hang of them and get a hold of a few more colors (someone offered to give me a few so hopefully I can play with those) so I can maybe produce something pleasing for ya'll. They're uber hard to blend. I don't get what the blender is for...it just sucks up all the color and leaves ugly streaks. Ah well, i'll experiment some more.

OH AND HEY does anyone know where I can dl " i'm still here" by The Goo Goo Dolls? I can't use any dl services like kazaa or limewire or anything because my computer will explode so if anyone knows of like a blog with music or somethign that'd be awesome. It's been stuck in my heads for like 2 days and I need it OUT.

Oh and art book status: I've got some sketches collected for my own personal book and I hope to have that available for anyone interested come summertime. It'll probably be around 20 pages (40 back and front) and in BW. Just a collection of various sketches/linearts you've never seen (because I hoard them all). I also plan to have a book with ~pokie-boo sometime...in the distant future...as well as a book with my art bf ~0-Duredhel-0. It will be a very artsy summer. YEAH YOU BETTER BUY SOME >;[

HELP YOU GUYS I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M DOING I'm looking to buy some markers to do cool art stuffs with but i'm totally at a loss. I saw all sorts of people using copic at Fanime but i'm poor and they're awfully expensive. I was thinking of neopiko as an alternative but does anyone know how they work compared to copics? DUDE--Fanime was awesome this year! Unfortunately my dearest *zambi and ~mopinks weren't able to come down, but that didn't stop Lin and I from rockin'! We doubled our cash this year compared to last year and next year we hope to get it over $800+! We cosplayed a little bit, but nothing as elaborate as what we plan for next year. We've already started designing--gasp-- darkstalkers outfits *damn you, Neo*.

We met some awesome peeps too. Neo was nice enough to lend us half her table in the beginning and ~cutemew lent us a half as well. It was so chaotic that first day! Most the pins sold out really fast and I didn't even bother doing commissions *lazy*. Then the next day the art pool staff was so nice and gave us most of a table. We were right next to *Wen-M again so we felt all intimidated and stuff. Our plushies sold pretty well too (about 20+ in all, we kept sewing them so I lost countof how many we made). =setsuna22 came by and she's so fucking adorable T__T it's not even funny what cute people you run into at fanime. All the loli girls had me drooling and I was so jealous of their hotness. My cousin also humped a giant wii controller which chased him around the artist alley. Met some other cool dev peeps like *stabartist and apparently the ever so sneaky ~Viceversa

All in all Fanime was pretty cool. These first 2 years were trial runs so now Lin and I think we have the gist of things so next year we'll do even better! We plan to have more goods, make more money and definetly more friends!

BUT--Fanime also left me with a lot of extra shit that I don't want around so i'm having a post-fanime sale on prints and bookmarks (pins will be sold when I get the next shipment in).

I need to make monies by selling anime stuffs at Fanime this year...

Did you guys know that I draw other stuff other than anime? That's right. I also like drawing deer skulls and wine bottles...I like doing french pastel portraits and doing cowboy hats in charcoal. DID YOU EVEN KNOW THAT I CAN USE TRADITIONAL MEDIA?

It's true, it's my evil DA secret, but I am not just a solely anime artist...I can do a little big of sculpting, some botchy impressionistic painting and even some nature weaves!

But these things do not make money....instead I must draw large eyes and small mouths to earn a living. But you know what? I don't mind. I don't like watching anime but I like drawing it. It's easy, it's fast, and it's not messy. I like it and all you people who are all "ooooh anime artists only do anime traditionalist only do traditional", WRONG. I am kinda cultured and diversified. DUDE YOU GUYS PI-E IS A FUCKING RETARD.

So I had this thing of chocolate soymilk in my school bag along with all my important papers and very expensive electronics (i know, smart) and then this morning i wake up to a delicious chocolatey aroma (and the need to pee). I find out that the soymilk exploded in my bag soaking everything in there along with my carpet. Luckily I managed to salvage my cellphone and mp3 player but...MY CAMERA IS BROKEN. MY SWEET SWEET CLICKYPICTURETAKER T_____T

Your have no idea how depressed I am... Now I need to save up money to buy a new camera.

ALSO-- is anyone out there really good at sewing costumes/clothes?? I'm going to (hopefully) be attending Fanime this year and Lin and I wanted to go as Shia and Misha from Pite Ten. I need to find out if I can commission or bribe someone to make me a custom Misha costume at a relatively decent price cuz i'm broke and now need to buy a new camera as well as pay for my spring sem college courses I AM VERY POOR. So yeah, if you or if you know of anyone who can sew me something that would be totally radical.

Plus I put up my first fight on Void ever. It sucks. Bad. I procrastinated a whole lot untilt he last week and that week happened to be finas week sooo I pretty much did all 7 pages in 2 days. I wish I had spent more time on it tho...I hate giving bad impressions x__x Anyway if enough people are interested I might post it or something.

I'll be going to Oregon again tommorrow night for about 2 weeks so sorry if I don't get a chance to talk to you or anything. I'm not really active on the internet much either because i've been living with Lin since I got kicked out (stupidest reason ever too) so I'm rarely "home". Anyway, going to Oregon to check out our 2 new horses and 3 new ponies so we can get them fitted for saddles and bridles. Lin and I also need to paint our room up there and move more furniture shit.
