Hello!!

You know what? Less than a month now untill Anime North and I'm far from ready >.< I think I'm seriously gonna suffer from lack of sleep in the next few weeks...oh, that's not to bad, I'm pretty used to it...it's just that I have to finish my Yuffie AND Konan stuff AND that it's the end of semester at school and I'm starting to get all my projects....bad enough! They all must be handed before AN so I won't get any rest xDD Oh well, it's good since I have no exam on the Monday after AN so I will most luckily be SLEEPiNG on that day xD and I won't have to bother studying, that's a good point...but to get there, I have to do a lot of work... *sigh*

Oh well, I got my Yuffie wig yesterday *.* I was glad it was so fast! I guess I'm gonna get the Konan one next week. I can't wait! And my dad said he's going to help me build my giant shuriken, so I guess things are going to be fixed fast enough!

Please, sign this petition to help artists keeping the money that belong to them! They are trying to pass a rule for the artist alley of a con in Alberta: to buy in artist alley, they have to buy tickets and give them to artists...and then, THEY have to give them to the people managing the con and those people get about 20% of the benifits...that's totally unfair and against artists rights...

Even if you are not Albertan, it could get to other cons so... u_u

Hello everyone!

Yes, I'm still around here! I'm more of a commenter type now...I know I don't submit much, I'm sort of in a art block...very very deep art block >_< I barely have time to DRAW anymore... u_u and I feel depressed...because I don't feel satisfyied with my "style", which wasn't that much of a still anyway...so all my drawing end up not being good enough... *sigh* I guess I gotta relax more and take time to befriend with my pencil again... u_u

On a lighter note, I've been to Ganime on February 9th and it was nice! ^_^hopefully, I will submit some picture of our team 7 cosplay...we did their clothing from the first movie, so we got a lot of good comments ^^' the cloaks were hard to make, but I'm really pleased by the result.

I must prepare from Anime North, which is in May, but...I still have to do two costume.

One of them is Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII but I don't know what version to choose...can you guys tell me which version you prefer? There are four of them:

- Original Game VII
- Advent Children (the movie)
- Dirge of Cerberus
- Kingdom Hearts (xD)

... And I'm supposed to go to the Moonlight Masquarade Ball, so I have to do/buy and modify a dress fitting a character...I think I'll go for Konan (Naruto) with a paper-flowers decorated dress. What do you think? If you have any good idea, you can just suggest it! I'm open!

May 2009 start something new, the begining of something great. For those for who 2008 was a great year, I wish you for 2009 to be even better! If you had a bad year, then I wish from the bottom of my heart for you to get a better year.

By looking at cosplayers on the net (mostly here on DA XD) and when I got the first occasion to do it, I jumped on it!

- What was your first convention and how did it go?
Otakuthon 2007, and it was awesome!

- How many cons have you been to?
Two xD’’’ BUT I WANT TO GO TO MORE!!! T_T

- How many cosplays have you done?
Two, one for each con ....well actually, three, if you count that Sailor Moon costume my mother did for me for Halloween when I was 8 xD


[Your Cosplays]

- What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
Mello from Death Note. I chose it because my favourite fandom was Death Note at that time, and my sister and I decided quickly for Mello and Near.

- What is your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
Riku from Kingdom Hearts two! It was such a great experience!

- What is your least favorite you've cosplayed?
Mmmh I’ll have to say Mello, because I LOVED Riku!

- What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
None of them but they each had some inconvenient. My Mello’s pant were second-hand clothes and they happened to leave their color everywhere I sat... As for Riku, because of the keyblade, I had pain in my shoulder.


[Process]

- How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
Fanarts, images from the source (the anime or the game), tutorials and other cosplayers. I’d have to say that DA is a good source for my research! 8D

- Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
I didn’t for Mello but I did most of the job for Riku...except the jeans. *shrug*

- If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
I learned during my high school! =S

- Do you make your own props?
Yup xD I made my keyblade out of papier mache!

- If so, how did you learn to? If not, do you plan to learn?
Mmmh o_o I learned how to do glue in arts!!

Not mine, I bought it. <33 But I styled the Sora wig with my sister! About 10 hours XD

Saturday: day one

Before the con
After an almost non-existent night of sleep (I’d say I slept for about 3-4 hours at most), I woke up at 7am to prepare. I took a short shower and put my costume on. I could barely eat because I was too excited. I put my wig, I was late so ~mikuga had to wait for me xD After about two hours, we were ready and dressed as Riku and Sora 8D It was funny because when we went out of the house, there was a guy on a ladder fixing his roof and he was looking at us with wide eyes xD

We went to pick up my friend Stephanie and her sister Anabelle (they were cosplaying Nana and Kagome) and then we headed up to Montreal. It’s was not a long way to go, but because I was sitting on the front of the car, I got stared at by most of the people outside....like a bunch of people standing on the corner of the street waiting to cross....they were all looking at me with huge smiles xD Nothing more normal, considering I had SILVER HAIR XD The funniest part was when we were trying to scare another driver...I was smiling at him and he looked so surprised....it was the funnier face I saw in my life XD

The con
Then we arrived at the Palais des Congrès where the con was held. We saw a bunch of cosplayers there, outside, and met up with ~Maeko-Sensei, her sister and ~Tetsumi-Sensei. They were cosplaying Sasori high school, Misa (Death Note) and Itachi high school.

Then we entered the Palais des Congrès, got looked at by some “normal people” xD and then, we went upstairs, the middle floor where we saw THE LINE! Well....the line of cosplayers waiting to get their badges. I was so excited to see all those people, and everyone saw it because I started to run everywhere asking for pictures to all the cosplayers around xD

I ran after a guy cosplaying Sai (I think I scared him a little xD) and when I saw a gang cosplaying Organization XIII, I started yelling “ORGANIZATION XIII!!!!!!!!!” and running toward them xD One of them told me “Calm down Riku!” (I think it was Xigbar) xD and we all laughed. Stephanie and Annabelle were kind of pissed off because I didn’t listen to them when they were saying they had to wait in line xD They went with Bianca (another of our friends we met there) while I continued to randomly run around, asking for pictures and....being asked back xD A really cool ORGY Roxas asked us to do a fight scene (which we did with big smiles xD) and to hit him with our keyblades...xD That was really funny!

Well, when the line was moving and my friends waiting were ready to go up, we joined in line and found even more cosplayers upstairs!!! Imagine me being even more excited than what I was downstairs...xD’ We met up with our friends ~Mimi-Vie, ~Niji-no-Ai, Eric, and Jean-Sebastien, cosplaying Might Gai, Rock Lee, Zabuza and Anbu Kakashi. They were awesome xD
Stephanie went to get her badge and when she came back she was even more pissed because we had to stay around, waiting for everyone and during that time, I sort of ignored everyone, running around again for cosplay pictures xD Well, that’s what cons are, right? XD

Well, after a while, ~mikuga and I found out that our cousin ~renachan-x (Sasuke) and her friend ~Kaizen-93-link (Kakashi) had arrived and had to wait in line to actually register xD’ That took them about an hour, it was long so during that time, I hung out with my sister and got separated from the rest of the gang …. .__. We were too many xD Huge gangs won’t work for cons, it seems.

Well, we came back to the waiting line and sat on the floor, because our friends were almost done with the waiting xD We used that time to rest a little because even if it still was in the morning, we had no sleep behind us and had to store our energy for the rest of the day xD Sasuke and Kakashi finally met with us and we went to some panel I won’t name because it was boring and I don’t want to insult the girls who did it .__.

After that, we were starving so we decided to go to the Subway downstairs…but it was like 12pm so…it was CROWDED with NORMAL PEOPLE and we decided to eat at the China Town. First of all, thanks for the 3000 pageviews!! I think I'm doomed, you know...it's the third time I catch my own "kiriban" xD Hmm I think I should do a little something for it, so may be I'll do a picture soon.

I've bought markers so be prepared to see new experimentations xD I'm so happy, it have been a while since I wanted to buy some. Anyways xD

Now, about my cosplay! It's going fairly well, I've almost finished my white "coat", the rest is done as well so I only have my keyblade left, which is done about by half. I'll be in time for Otakuthon, great!!

I'm so excited because I'll get to go to a Kingdom Hearts photoshoot, plus I'll see friends I haven't seen for a while!!! <33 And there is my cousin coming with her friend XD I'M SO EXCITED! I'll have a bunch of picture to upload, when it'll be done!

I've been obsess by doujinshis lately, so I'll try to buy some at the con xD Aaaw men, I'll totaly burn a lot of money this week end xD

This is simply horrible! To think that they want to pass that law, making all existant copyright disapear, and force us to PAY to protect our art! If you don't pay to protect your art, then it is considered as "orphan work" and can be used by ANYONE for free, without you giving your consentment.

If you want to stop this before the bill is passed (we have until this summer), then sign the online petition and spread the word. And don't think that because you're not in the US that you are not threatened, it will touch anyone for sure x_x And we are an art commnunity, yes? Then let's act together!

Et je parle de TOUTES les formes d'art: dessins, sketchs, musique, peinture, photographie, TOUT.

En ce moment, lorsque vous créez quelque chose, ça vous appartient, même si vous n'avez pas payé de copyright. Mais, avec la nouvelle loi américaine, vous devez absolument payer pour protéger vos créations, sinon n'importe qui peut les utiliser sans votre consentement et vous ne pouvez RIEN Y FAIRE. Pire, une personne pourrait enregistrer votre travail et l'utiliser, et ensuite vous poursuivre parce que vous utilisez votre PROPRE art. C'est aberrant!

Je sais que vous n'habitez pas aux États-Unis (pour ceux qui liront cette partie en français xD). Mais il serait naïf de croire que ça va en rester là. Si la loi est passée, ça va influencer tous les pays. Pensez-y. Un peu de solidarité! Même si vous n'avez jamais dessiné de votre vie, pensez à tous ces artistes qui ont la vie dure...C'est déjà difficile de se lancer dans le domaine des arts, mais avec cette loi, ça deviendra impossible.

OKAY! Today is such a good day cuz I was so LUCKY. I called to the bus company and guess what? They have found BOTH my bus pass and student-rate card SO I have nothing to pay!

Haha I feel so relieved! I guess life is not always that shitty XD

Ever felt like a day started great and then kept going worst as the day goes on? I'm living that today, m'kay. And it feel very bad.

First of, when I step out my store to go home, it was raining. Now it's freakin snowing! Wth! It's APRIL okay??!! No snow for me ><

Well that's pretty lame, but I'm in a bad mood now. I'm sick too, since like...half of the week. Yeah...it's a bad week for me x_x

On the top of that, I lost my bus pass in the freakin bus, yeah, plus the card allowing me to get student rate. SO I lost for about 50$ for the pass, plus the card...I don't remember how it cost, but man! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TODAY!! I used those cards for more than two years now! And I never lost them! And I'm sure I put them in my pocket....

Anyway, it's just a bad day for me...Just a bad day in a life that's okay most of the time. Okay, now I want to sit on my bed and play PS2, or draw and listen to my KH2 soundtrack and be a lonely emokid....;_; But I can't, I have to attend to my psycho class...I love that class, still...on friday till 6pm, it sucks. At last I have some good music on my mp3 to chear me up.

I'll try and call at the bus company, maybe they found my cards....but knowing how bad people can be, surely someone took it and will never give it to the driver...not that they could use it, thought, I signed it and all, and the student-rate card as my picture on it, there's still some hope, BUT...yeah. I'm good to pay it again now! And meanwhile, I will have to pay full rate cuz of that shitty day.

Just after I received a mail saying "if you don't send this to 15 people, you're going to be doomed MUAHAHAHA" my butt...anyway, this is just funny x_x kind of...no.





On a lighter note, I haven't submited for a while, but I'm still alive xD I have some drawings to submite, but I still have to color them, damn school!

Random news here!

February 4th was my birthday (yeah, I'm already 19 O__O) and I got Kingdom Hearts mangas XD plus a 25$ to buy something on Ebay (I ordered a Roxas action figure *o*)

In the same line, I ordered my cosplay wig : I'm really happy because I found a really nice one, for a very good price. So it's decided, I'm going to be Riku *o* Today, I buy some stuff for my cosplay (very oversized jeans LOL and other stuff) so I feel really confident in having a nice cosplay this year too ^^ My sister will be Sora, so you may see some pictures XD Not that soon, but still... xD

Gee, I hope to go to Anime North, but the chances are good (I think!) I may even go on stage with my friends cosplaying Axel and Roxas XDD

Yesterday, I went to Video Game Live ; I don't know if many of you know this show, but it's something really awesome : a symphonic orchester playing video games music, with light show and images projection. It was really worth it, if you get the chance and that the show is in your region, go and see it ; you won't regret it! *o*

February 29th, I'm taking the plane to California (Yeah!!) One weak in a place hotter that mine ;A; so cool!

Aaw I miss Disney World LOL my new year was a lot calmer this year than last, with Disney World's fire work, believe it! (OMFG I sound like Naruto!)

I wish an happy new year to all of you who will read this journal, a year full of joy, health and everything you want... lol!

As for me, I hope that 2008 will bring many anime conventions (especially Anime North XD), good time making my cosplay with Mikuga (XD) and many new anime that I'll become addicted to.

On a more serious side, I hope that this new year will bring some luck to me in my choice of what to do in my life cuz I feel pretty lost in all that. I wish for this new year to be as good as 2007, except without the loss of anyone. This year was like all other, except that I lost my grand father that I miss a lot, and I hope not to live that again, soon.

I finally finished this *$/&%& final project for my sociology class...really interesting project...really..but how hard to do! x_x I loe that class you know? But god!! Hiiihiii Je fait ce journal aujourd'hui pour vous parler d'Otakuthon, la convention d'anime à laquelle j'ai assisté le 4 août 2007! C'était à Montréal, à l'université Concordia.

C'était tout à fait un pur délice. Franchement, je me suis amusée comme une folle. Première convention, premier cosplay, et je crois que je peux parler sans m'avancer et me venter en disant que ça a été un succès...surtout si on regarde le nombre de personne qui nous arrêtaient, mes amis et moi!

J'était en Mello et malheureusement, je n'ai pas trouvé mon Matt charmant T_T

N'empêche...j'avais au moins un Near XD Ouais! Ma soeur et moi on faisait un duo d'enfer. Même qu'on a joué à DDR et qu'une fille nous a pris en photo...n_n Wais! Mello et Near en grande compétition de Dance Dance Révolution! *o*

Enfin bref. C'était génial, et j'attend avec impatience de pouvoir assister de nouveau à une convention.

It keep me soooooooooooooo busy that I have nooooooo time for me. ARGGGHH!

I have so many drawings in progress, and so many ideas to draw, and it kills me because I have absolutely no time to do them.

I've grown anime-addicted, so all my free time go for that -_-
Well, I was already anime addicted, but I'm affraid it's worst now.
Now I'm watching a bunch of animes at the same time. Well, my sister made me addicted to Sukisyo XD And well, there are still Inuyasha, that I am now watching every friday, and Death Note that I watch as soon as the episode is released on youtube.
Oh, I almost forgot. I'm also watching avatar every monday lol.

And as if it wasn't all, I have to answer on all my RPG ><

At least, I can still go to DA and find some new drawings to watch ^^ But I want to submit more. Damn school X__X

Well actually, I WAS this busy, but I guess it was just because of all of this mid-term exams en projects. Because this week, I am more free. I think this evening, I will have time for some drawing. XD
