But you know what really annoys me? Horribly effeminate gay men who are doing it just to do it.

I mean... I've had friends from pretty much every social stereotype imaginable (including the effeminate gay, actually) so I'm really reluctant to judge someone based on their behavior, but....

When you go out of your way to slap a label on yourself, what are you proving?

Look, you don't need to ADVERTISE your sexuality... as annoying as straight men desperately trying to defend their sexuality by beating the shit out of anyone who challenges it are, gay men who feel that they are not really gay until they are dressed up like women are worse... because they are giving other people a reason to single them out.

Why do we divide ourselves by race, class, sexuality? Every time I see a kid dressed up like a gangster just because he's black or a guy wearing a fitted pink shirt just because he's gay I want to rip my hair out. Yeah, we're all individuals, and kudos to you if you really want to strut your stuff... but deep down, we're all so much more alike than we are different!

Here's something we've all seen... that girl wearing the low-cut top complaining about how guys are always oogling her boobs... well you're PUTTING THEM ON DISPLAY. You are asking for the attention you are being given. By wearing a low cut top, you're not saying "I'm pretty." You're saying "I'm desperate, please fuck me." The same way a guy decked out in hair gel and makeup is not saying "I'm gay" but "I'm so desperate to stand out that it's ludicrous for me to ever expect to be treated like the guy next to me."

Stereotypes wouldn't exist if people didn't play into them. People always think I'm a lesbian because I dress like a boy... no, I actually dress like a boy because girl's pants are too tight and I actually don't like people staring at my boobs. People only assume I'm a lesbian because a ton of other lesbian girls adhere straight to the "dyke" stereotype. If you like women, well... shouldn't you be proud to be one yourself? Will you feel pretty if you wear makeup? Then do it! Fuck your sexuality! We're all trying so hard to be unique that we're becoming one another's CLONES!

If you're just a genuinely effeminate guy, you have nothing to be ashamed of. That's your personality, and should have nothing to do with your sexuality. (This is really heart-breaking with straight guys, because they always feel so pressured to hide these emotions.) If you would honestly rather throw your emotions to hell and live life for the sheer thrill... hey, that's a perfectly good option, too! Go for it! Just be yourself, for the love of god.

As long as we ask to be divided, we will be.

I'm really interested in the psychological effects of audio right now after listening to this bizarre "sounds from hell" project. (The link is here, though I don't buy a word of it. It's still fun to listen to.) The soundtrack can almost always make or break a horror movie; so what is it that the human mind actually finds scary about certain sounds?

The two noises I remember being most frightened of (EVER) were ones that had no visual aids: the music when you miss a day of work in the Sims 1 (sooo creepy! if my Sim missed a day of work, I would turn the sound off before answering the phone XD) and this haywire beeping my dad's computer started making at me once. It scared me so badly (and I KNEW it was the computer) that I ran down two flights of stairs and refused to come back up until the computer had been dealt with.

What sounds most terrify you? If you have a link to some audio on the internet, that would be even cooler. XD

One of the girls on my watchlist made a journal like this about VISUAL stimulus a while back, and I think it's a good idea. ;D

Okay, I am sorry, but this is a HUGE, HUGE pet peeve of mine. I did not start drawing in this style recently to be "cool." This is how I've been drawing since I was EIGHT. And before that, it was really only circles with the occasional rectangle sticking out of them. My art is MINE ALONE. I don't care if my eyes are big or my hair defies gravity or - oh noes - my noses are pointy. Does is look like any anime YOU'VE seen recently? Because when I look at my artwork I think "hey, I can tell that this was done by me."

WHY THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER WHETHER I'M AMERICAN OR JAPANESE? >__< I'm not incapable of drawing realism! But I am a cartoonist! That's what I do! The entire bottom row of my bookshelf is full of drawings and sketches of the characters, scenery and buildings from my comic, and Jesus tap-dancing Christ I'm sorry if that's not considered REAL ART to you.

This is how I've been drawing for years. This is a style that I have honed to make my own. If it resembles Japanese cartoons more than it resembles American cartoons that's too bad. I'm not going to erase years worth of work so that I can fit into YOUR definition of an artist.

Have you ever noticed that Christians say "you can't blame God for all the wrongs in the world" and yet thank him for his blessings? Like, did he just decide you were so special that he'd intervene in your life instead of, say, some homeless girl who has piss frozen to her legs because it's that freakin' cold outside? : O Don't get me wrong... I really respect the Christian faith (actually, I'm infatuated with all the religions of Abraham) but... hehe.

Also: I've had really horrible hand tremors for three years as a result of the medication combination (the rhyming kills me inside) I'm currently on, and it's been getting progressively worse... I've learned how to do my CGs despite the tremor (mainly using the SHIFT click method), but sometimes it's really, REALLY hard, especially recently, so try to understand if it takes me awhile to get your pictures done. I'm trying, I swear. XD

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage is allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Have you ever done something SO DUMB that you literally just freeze in AWE of your own stupidity for a minute or two? I had one of those moments. Really. I didn't realize I had the capacity for such incredible fucktardosity. <- real word

I had to go to the bathroom to *AHEM* drop a few friends off at the pool, so like any good American I took a look around my room for something to bring with me to read. (I know I'm not the only one who does this, because my dad does it, too.) Finding nothing that I hadn't read in the past two hours, I decided to take my sketchbook so that I could work on some chapter outlines for my comic. THIS IS WHERE IT STARTED GOING WRONG.

Well, I was just sitting there with my pants down around my ankles, cheerfully writing away, when the phone rings. The call is for my loquacious mother, who runs upstairs to answer and starts talking loudly next door. Well, I couldn't go like that! (It's really awful to drug test me, because my bladder can be .000000000001 seconds away from exploding and I will still be unable to pee in that cup if someone is standing in the room to make sure I give a genuine sample.) A natural at problem-solving, I put my sketchbook down and got up and turn on the vent so that I could unload in peace.

Except that, being a complete and utter GENIUS, I decided that HEY I DON'T NEED TO WIPE BEFORE I DO THIS!!! So, after sitting back down and reaching for my sketchbook, I noticed that -- HOLY FUCKING GOD OF ABRAHAM, THERE'S PISS ON MY SKETCHBOOK!!!!! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?!

And do you know what the first thing I did was?

I CHECKED TO SEE IF IT SMELLED.

So God, I officially nominate myself for Biggest Fucktard of the Universe.
