Okay, here's the deal. I have a special class next semester called S.L.I.C.E. It stands for Serve. Learn. Inspire. Change. Educate.
It is a humanities course that you must fill out forms for and be interviewed. Then, if you're one of the lucky chosen you go through orientation, etc. I've done all of this, my tuition is paid (thank you scholarship) but I still have one more hurdle. There is a class fee of 100$ that is due by January 15th. That's about all the money my dad and I have to cover living expenses through the middle of next month.

Just a little additional information... In this course, the main objective is doing community service. The entire course is supposed to total 300 hrs of service (including our class time, etc). My group's (Kids group) volunteer site is one that I've already been working with thanks to a service learning project for a class last semester. It is called Horses Help. They are a fantastic place. In fact.. Check out their site. They rock.
Theeen, in March (over spring break) we are traveling to San Diego. We will be staying there in a hostel for a week and doing (you guessed it) more community service. There is a site that does work similar to Horses Help where we will be volunteering.

However, without this 100$, I will not be allowed to take the class, even after all that I've done to get into it.

If anyone has some money to spare, please consider a commission from me. I am willing to offer dramatic discounts in order to attract customers.

I have a variety of ideas to offer. I have little 2.5"x3.5" cards of smooth bristol as well as larger sheets of bristol and various other types of paper.
I can do marker work, pencil work (colour or graphite), digital work, as well as written work.
I can make simple animations such as my avatars. I can make custom avatars, signatures, stamps, whatever.

All at absurdly low prices (as in, the supplies probably cost me more than I'm earning).

I will be uploading some newer examples of my work to show a broader spectrum of my abilities.

Over five years.

02) What made you join?
I don't even remember, honestly.

03) Does your user-name have a meaning?
I joined when I was obsessing over Pirates of the Caribbean (the first one). I still love the movies but have changed to a different name on most other sites. sundayrain26 is what I can usually be found under now a days.

04) Does your current avatar-pic have a meaning?
Lol, yep. Means I love Janto, it's canon, and it rocks.

05) What sort of artist are you?
Little bit of everything. I do traditional, digital, writing.

06) What are your tools?
Traditional: mechanical pencil, clickable eraser, copic multiliners, micron pens, prismacolour pencils, copic markers.
Digital: Corel Painter ((need a new one o-o)), Gimp, Jasc Animation Shop 3, MSPaint for pixel work. And a small Wacom tablet. <3
Writing: mai brainz

07) What's your opinion on photomanipulations? Genius? Un-creative? Or even art-theft?
Really well done photomanipulations can be brilliant. Poorly done ones, not so much. They take a lot of talent and patience to do properly

08) What do you think of fan-art? Creative? Un-creative? Or even copying other people's thoughts?
It's a great way to obsess over your favourite characters.

09) What about customizing avatars like Dollmaker-dollz, Gaia-characters or characters created in media like Heromachine? Creative or un-creative?
They can be fun to play with but people shouldn't post what they've put together as their own art.. Maybe to show a character design but credit must be given to the dollmaker, etc.

10) Have any plans of getting into another style too?
Nah, I'm good with what I've got so far. Realism, cartoon-y, some chibi. Might experiment with some new media if I have the chance though.

11) Is there something of your old art you find silly today - Or don't even like anymore? Or even would love to burn?!
Always. A lot of my old stuff makes me cringe. I'm not sure why I haven't removed the old stuff from my gallery to be honest..

12) Do you see a progress in your own art? Like getting better, worse or changing your major style (if you ave one)?
Yeah, I can see my style changing and my art skills improving over time.

13) What sort of art do you enjoy watching at the most, and what style do you totally dislike?
I'm pretty open. If the subject is something I like, then I'm not overly picky. I love looking at realism. Adorable cartoon-y styled stuff is great as well.

14) What about favourites? Do you have enough ones to fill complete folders, or are you rather the uber-selective guy?
Oh, I have thousands of favourites. Literally. I fave generously. I'm just way too lazy to organize all of my favourites..

15) How much time per week do you spend here on DA?
Largely depends on the week. Not very often anymore. I'm usually busy with college-related things and real life, unfortunately.

16) Have you ever had times in which you were considering to leave DA? If yes, then why?
Hell no. I love the dA. Yes, people are stupid and childish and there's way too much drama to be healthy, but I still love the site.

17) What do you love here on DA the most?
Seeing all the incredible art and getting to share my own. Meeting random people is fun.

18) What do you hate here on DA the most?
The drama. Seriously people, get over yourselves..

19) What do you think about art-trades, gift-arts and commissions?
They're fun. I would do art-trades if people were interested and I had time. I already offer commissions but haven't had any people show interest in them unfortunately.

20) What do you think about subscriptions? Do you have one?
Subscriptions are fun. I have one. I think my first one was from my boyfriend. I've been maintaining it ever since.

Okay, just wanted to mention that I've put up a poll on my fanfic account. I could really use readers' opinions, so if you have the chance, please check it out. For a small explanation as to what the poll is referring to, see my account profile info.
To save lazy folks the trouble, I will include a brief description here.

The basic idea is that I was inspired by another story to write an mpreg story between Jack and Ianto. What I would be using from the story is the evolutionary elements that allowed men in Jack's time to develop the ability to bear children.
I'm not sure how I want to start the story yet however and have thusly asked for opinions. My suggested options are adding it on to one of my existing stories. Stopwatches and Atrocious Manners would allow the entire original cast to be involved while tacking it on to Bloody Beans would limit it to Jack, Ianto, Gwen, and probably Rhys. Possibly Jack's daughter and grandson as well. The drawback to this one is that the hub has been destroyed and I'm not sure where to set it.
The final option is to just write an entirely new story for it. While this seems like a good option, I'm not too keen on it. I am a full time college student and am having enough trouble trying to keep up with my current stories let alone write another.

Please please please please please go have a look and if you can bear the subject, please leave a vote or send me a message regarding this dilemma I'm having.

I have been miserably inactive. Shame on me.

I finished my summer Mythology course. That was fun. No really.. It kind of was.

I had my birthday. I'm now nineteen. Got to go to Disneyland for two days.

That was loads of fun. I'm still sore from all the walking and the rides, but I'm good. XD

I had the pleasure of meeting

while I was there. She's a real sweetheart. If you haven't checked out her art before, go look. She's crazy awesome. =3

Not too much else going on. I'm going to make an effort to work on some stuff. I really want to be active again. Maybe I'll start going through all those deviations finally. o-o I have over 4000 of them. I'm going to try to get Corel Painter Essentials 2 back on my computer as well.. It was lost when I switched to my new computer. All I have right now is MS Paint, Gimp, and Animation Shop 3.. I have some installing to do still. *lazy*

Perhaps I could work on some new animated avatars or something..

On a separate note, I'm all set for my next semester of college. I'm taking Chemistry, Precalculus, and Honours Forum ((silly requirement for my to graduate with honours..)). Narrowly avoided loosing my place in my classes.. I didn't realize that the school needed tax information. Apparently I was lucky enough to be randomly selected by the government ((FAFSA)) to have my info double checked. Joy. Crisis averted, however.

The only thing left to do is figure out what books I need and get them. Yay. More expensive college text books. I still need to sell the books from last year. <,<

I've been trying to write more for my Janto story. I have a grand total of three chapters. I have a fourth in the works, but I'm having some difficulty.

Anyway, I'm taking four classes this semester, a total of 12 credits..
On Mondays and Wednesdays:
Renaissance Through Contemporary Art - 12:30pm-1:45pm
Drawing I - 2pm-4:45pm
On Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Introduction to Psychology - 7:30am-8:45am
First-Year Composition - 9am-10:15am

I'm actually really excited about college now. I start classes the 25th of August. All I have to do is get a transcript to them to get my scholarship all set. And get my books.
Now all I have to do is get a job! And get my driving hours in so I can get my driver's license! Joy!

Aaaand I'm going to California from July 26 to August 2. I'm very excited! Going with ~LoneRayven and his family. We'll be doing Disneyland, Sea World, and the beach. Can't wait! :3

Unfortunately, my teachers are not done piling on the work. o.x I have to perform in theatre today and present a ten minute demonstration (of drawing) in french (memorized, no notes). I've got a test to make up in economics.. I have a final in organic chemistry (second to last day!). And we have to make a movie version of that theatre scene... I'm probably forgetting stuff, but still!

Anyhow, that is why I've not really been around much. I have the time to pop in for a few minutes, but not to look at all the deviations posted by those I watch or read their journals, etc. Donno if anyone noticed my (semi) absence, but I thought I'd leave a note anyway. =3

Now I just need a pretty journal.. must play around with some coding and see what I can come up with.

On another note, there's only eighteen and a half school days left!

Unfortunately, before it's all over, I have to make it through finals. I'm most concerned about French. (mah teacher lied! she said no finals because we have the AP test.. so much for that D< )
Oh, and this weekend is going to suck. I have SATs at some absurd hour of the morning on Saturday.. I should be okay. I've done their practice questions and such.. Then on Monday, in the afternoon, I have my French AP test. I. Am. Going. To. Die. It's ridiculous. In three hours, we have a test covering speaking (describing pictures), writing (essay or short answer, I forget), verb (given verb, must conjugate in proper tense), function words (given passage with blanks, must pick right word-can be anything but verbs), and listening (one listening to dialogues and answering questions, one picking the next line in a dialogue). We don't even get a dictionary for the writing part. o-o The only good thing is that our score won't affect our grade in the class. It's just for a chance at college credit (which I'm already getting anyway through dual enrollment!)

Tomorrow I have to retake AIMS Math. For anyone outside Arizona, it's a test required to graduate. There are also reading and writing portions. I've already passed all of them, exceeding in reading and writing. I'm *this* close to exceeding in math, so I'm retaking it. If I exceed in all three and have all A's and B's (which I do) then I get a scholarship. I need all the help I can get! College is so expensive!

It's a theatre/choir/band trip. I'm theatre if anyone doesn't know already. Anyhow, tomorrow is late start, so it's a shorter day and then I just have to get through school Thursday. (Yeah, I still have to go.. it sucks.) We get out at 2:35 and we're leaving at 3:00. >,< The only thing that kind of sucks is I have a lab in Organic Chemistry on Thursday. Other than that everything should be fairly uneventful.

I haven't been to Disneyland for nearly eight years so I'm uber excited about it! We get one full day there. And park hopper passes so we can go to the other park.. I forget what it's called. I've never been there. Is is California Adventure? We also get to participate in some acting workshops. Those should be fun, too. Unfortunately, in order to get there, we'll be driving most of the evening/night Thursday. On a bus. Guh. And I have to share a hotel room with three other girls. And I only know one of them. It's going to be interesting. Then we get to leave after breakfast Saturday morning. I've heard that our meal stops with be in Blythe.

Woo, okay, that was my rant for the evening. Anyway, I'm excited. So yeah.. Later all.

Okies, update:
My doggie's doing better. She had an ultrasound of her abdomen done as well as some x-rays. They came back normal. The specialist we took her to isn't overly concerned at the moment. She says that there likely is something going on with her but that she's not suffering or in any imminent danger. She also said that some of it could be caused by the medication she's on. Basically, she told us to have the med levels checked in a couple weeks as well as her liver functions.
She seems to be doing pretty good. It's kind of funny 'cause she's got a naked belly now. (They had to shave her for the ultrasound.)

I'm so pissed right now. And heartbroken. I didn't get to go to his concert last year because we were moving and now it happens to be on the same day I'm graduating.

Ugh, today has sucked. Lost a sample in chemistry, had to re-do the whole lab. Supposed to walk to the CVS on the corner, took a wrong turn, walked for a mile. Now the concert.

I'm gonna have to go write or draw or read or listen to music or something. Have to calm down.

I'm anxious. My dog, Princess, has got to go to the vet tomorrow to recheck her red blood cell count. I hope it's normal again. TT-TT
She's been having seizures. I guess that's what you'd call them, anyway. It started (last Thurs) with just her back right leg getting all cramped up. That lasted a couple minutes. She had that happen a couple times, I think.. both at night. After that it spread to her front legs and her body. Still lasting two-ish minutes. During she would have trouble standing. After each 'episode' she would just shake off and be fine.
Theeeen she started having them in the afternoon and multiple in one day. So, we took her to the vet. High red cell count. No Valley Fever. Nothing ingested. We've been taking her over to the vet daily to get fluids injected, trying to lower her red cell count. We're checking that again tomorrow. She's on anti-convulsion meds and before that she had a muscle relaxer. The vet says it could be a side-effect, but she's been really unstable. She has a hard time keeping her balance. Her ears stay back more and her tail stays low as well. She's been a little more lazy, not following as much. That and she seems to get scared if she's left alone.
It's so strange because she's only five (six on Feb. 4) years old and is usually a spitfire. She's always running around and bouncing about. She always follows my dad or mom or me. When she's really excited, she turns circles. She's still doing these things, just a lot less. It worries me 'cause she's so young still. I don't wanna lose her.

In other news, I have not had hives for a full week. *celebrate* I have, however, had headaches. I just can't win.

I am in dire need of updating. I have so many new things to post. School projects, doodles, more of my characters, and some writing! Hopefully, I'll get on top of that. It's not looking too promising though seeing as I've had most of this week to work on it. XD

Okie, on to the update:
I have added some new pieces. One barely connected to V-day and another that is defintely Valentines themed. I have another in my sketchbook, but I've been to lazy to scan anything. x-x" Maybe I'll get it up soon.
My most recent piece is one with my beloved Nyoko and Keiji Aiko. I love them. <3 Fan art of them would be amazing. XD I'm working on a handful of other things as well. Unfortunately, my drawing teacher has piled on a new load of work, which will probably slow things down. We have to do a 6" x 6" linoleum about the Holocaust for her stupid mural idea, a 'collage' that forms a picture, and another piece for the Holocaust (our choice of medium) on top of the usual sketchbook. Oh yeah. We also have that photo assignment. It's a freaking drawing class! Why must we take pictures! I don't mind photography, but I don't like to be forced into her stupid little assignments.
Oh, did I mention all of that work is due by the end of the quarter? TT-TT

Aaaand right now I need to be doing my homework: my chem lab report.. I just have the analysis questions and conclusion left, so hopefully it won't take too long.

Then again, I've also got four chapters to raed in Huck Finn for english by Tue. and a unit test in history to study for.. also Tue.

I wanna read. and color my picture.. and draw! TT-TT

Then, I remembered I have history h/w. Yeah, I have no idea what "preliminary research guiding questions" are. Teachers didn't even explain it!

It's for some thesis-based research essay asking and answer "to what extent..." blah, blah, blah, did some event effect something.

Gah, I am so sick of school right now. I just want to go to the good classes. Like drawing and creative writing. I wouldn't mind geometry, French, or chemisty, either, really. Juat no history or english.

Okay, yeah, so it's really late. Like midnight, so I'm going to bed, now.

I got an academic letter yesterday for having a grade point average about 3.5 (I think that's the requirement). My cumulative G.P.A. is 3.7879 (curent is 3.8571). *nods*
Aaaand today I went to an awards ceremony to receive an honorable mention for an art project. It's not posted here yet because I didn't have a chance to bring it home and take a picture of it. I did, however, get a picture of it today at the exhibit, so I'll be posting it sometime soon-ish.

EDIT- Woo, yeah. I just noticed I have 651 pageviews, so I've decided that I'll do a 700th pageview kiriban. If anyone responds to this, that is. A screenshot is prefered, but not required

Oh and school is closed tomorrow due to cold temperatures! I am so excited. *jumps up and down like an idiot* (see the 'excited' emoticon

Merry Christmas, everyone!
I just opened my gifts a couple hours ago and I got Copics! I'm so excited! I got a set of 36 sketch markers with a wallet, "How to Draw Manga" book, a set of multi-liners, and a little non-bleeding sketchbook.

I can't wait to try them out!

Along with those, I got a bunch of manga (Fruits Basket vol. 15, Chibi Vampire vol. 2, Wolf's Rain vol. 1 and 2, and Kingdom Hearts), Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories, a booklight, bookmarks, Fullmetal Alchemist Anime Profiles, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on DVD (*squeals*), Memoirs of a Geisha on DVD, some new jeans, and a new pajama top.

Yar. 'Tis all I have to say for now. Perhaps more later. Must sleep now. XD

I think I'm pretty good now, though. Well enough to make school tomorrow and such.

My little dwarf hamster, Lily, whom I've had for about three or four years passed away last night, apparently of old age. She's to be buried in the resident pet cemetery (currently holding four fish). I'm think of drawing a memorial picture of sorts for her.

Anyway, I haven't drawn much lately. Not much time and few ideas. I am working on a few things at the moment. They may or may not be up in the next week or so, depending upon my laziness.

Oh, I also plan on participating in

's Showdown this weekend. Can't wait. ^_^
