I'm not sure about this new deviantart version, though I hated the old version and eventually got used to it after a couple of months...At least my main page looks mostly the same. I won't bother going on about it.

Leading Edge Video Gladstone is now ours, since the 18th of June :) There are a lot of things we still have to do, but it's getting there. It's mostly relying on other people and things at the moment...hopefully things should only get easier.
It's been good, and we're doing better than we expected too :)

I think that's all...

We don't have internet at work until next week. There was a mix up with the account as we didn't get a NEW account, we just applied to transfer the existing account into our name...a mistake...Since it takes at least 21 days to do that... (realistically though, it probably takes 15 minutes :P)

Well, I've not been around much lately and unfortunately I haven't even been playing around with Photoshop like I usually do :p
I haven't actually had much time to do anything of anything, though I'm hoping that fairly soonish, that will change :)

The main reason for this lack of time anyway, is the fact that Michael and I are buying Leading Edge Video in Gladstone :) So, we've been working there/here to get to know how everything works. We should find out on Tuesday what is going to happen with loan repayments and stuff. So, most days we are working 9:30 to 8 or 9 (depending on the day) and then on Monday to Thursday, we clean the daycares after that (1 - 2 hours, depending on which day) We also have a couple of places we usually clean on Sundays, though today I'm at the shop on my own and Michael will clean those, as they don't take too long :)
Then, I've been playing Sims 2 when I get home x)

SO, we only have one, very crappy computer here. Eventually we will be bringing in one of ours temporarily until we can afford to buy one soley for the business. We'll have two computers then for when both of us are working :)! It's very exciting :)

P.S. There are some stray/feral cats that live behind the shop :) There is a lovely ginger tabby, and I've seen her/it with a smaller tabby and two or three little kittens ^_^ She's scared of us though :(





I'm also slightly obssessed with the Sweeney Todd soundtrack :) We watched it a couple of weeks ago, a preview of it anyway, it doesn't come out onto DVD until June or July (I forget)
It's kind of refreshing to have the songs actually as part of the story again, rather than just having a movie, with singing :)
My favourite songs keep changing all the time :P Nuff about that though :) P.P.S - I'm starting to realise that I'm quite a Tim Burton fan :p

In life news, Michael and I are organising something exciting, though we're not getting our hopes up too much. (He isn't, I am :p)
I didn't get too many photos of the wedding that I liked :) The lighting at the reception was not that great for my lil old camera! Plus, I did not have a tripod :p It was lovely though, and most people seemed to have a good time. (Michael discovered that he likes Port ;p)

Yay, it's 2008! Not that I exactly know what is so yay about it yet :) I have a new computer, and after I buy some more RAM It shall be quite wonderful :)!

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you celebrated with fun and excitement in safety :p We just stayed home, which did us ok :p

I celebrated my birthday in December, I got a lot of makeup (which I'd asked for) It's very exciting actually because I've never really had much before :) I'm looking forward to experimenting with it :D I already put it on when we go out, even if it's to the movies ^_^ So, hopefully I'll have some art-inspired photography involving all that glittery stuff.

We're getting a wii, but i don't know when ;p Obviously, when we can afford it...I didn't know you could play Gamecube games in it >_o So, then I'll have to get Smash Brothers Melee, Soul Calibur and the Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life, EVEN THOUGH IT COMPARES NOT TO THE PLAYSTATION VERSION. Maybe Tales of Symphonia >_o
Meanwhile, if you have a PAL version of the PS Harvest Moon: Back To Nature that works (Doesn't crash after they get married) I will buy it from you ^_~

2. I pick at my feet a lot. Sometimes theyre painful to walk on. ~elinnia helps sometimes by spanking me when he catches me :p
3. I play World of Warcraft a LOT.
4. I like just looking at pictures. I type in random words into the search engine to see what gems I can find :)
5. I would like, one day to create something with my art worth selling (at the moment, the idea is greeting cards :p)
6. I have put back on, most of the weight that I lost last year. (MOST, so it's not all bad)
7. I love living near the beach, even though I rarely go there.

It's been awfully chilly lately, and I seem to have caught myself a cold :) It seems to be a talent I have :D
Let's see, in the artsy world, I've been finding lineart and playing around with colouring a few things. So far I have not finished anything but I'll probably get around to it :) ~elinnia has been colouring a few things lately (go see!) and he inspired me to try it out :p Bringing lineart to life is so cool, especially when you get to see the way that other people have coloured the same image. *color-me-club is where we've been finding most of our lineart, there is heaps to choose from ^_^
At the moment I'm practising my shading techniques since I am less than happy with them :) I've been taking a few tips from ~Elyssian and it seems to be working out so far :D It's kind of fun learning new techniques ^_^

I'm working on a few photomanipulations at the moment as well :) It's just finding the right stock sometimes proves difficult, and I don't think I know anyone well enough to ask any requests just yet :3

And as always, I'm always looking for art to do with fairytales :3 I'm addicted to them. Its all about old fashioned magics and beings :) Fantastic! If you see anything beautiful let me know ^_^ I'll show you some examples right now...I'll pick a fairytale for a theme!

Aha! I am now trying to figure out exactly what I can do in this journal thing :) I made a much better journal header to start with ^_^ Everyone lubs the panda :)

I've just spent about half an hour cleaning up and deleting some of my old art files :D I found a whole bunch of lineart that needs to be done up one day, as well as some started-but-not-finished projects that I could play with :D

I was also wanting to go to the Botanic Gardens today and see if there was any nice photo-taking opportunities but it is so cold today o_o I bet it is probably warmer outside though :)




I would like to share some of my favourites now, and if you have the time - it would be lovely if you could leave a few words on the ones you like too :D




This exercise has taught me...that I haven't actually favourited many things as of yet :p Perhaps I should start :)

Why am I still going on about this? - Because I paid money for a subscription to something which I no longer have and I am unable to get it back :) I checked the FuQ/help.
I might never get over it :o!
I still find the layout hideous :(

I still fucken hate it :)

I still REALLY wish that I had not paid a subscription right now.

I still think it looks horrible. Untidy. It is not aesthetically pleasing to MY eye.

I liked the old format better. It looked a lot neater. The box where all your info is, your page views and everything was nice to look at. I'm sorry but the new thingy is awful and ugly. screw taking screencaps of that for my gallery.

Also, while I don't mind the thumbnailing of MY recent works, I don't see why there should be more of my favourites showing, and the wishlist. I think as it is MY profile, it should mostly be about ME.
Having so many thumbnails makes it look messy >_>

This is NOT entirely about me, not liking change. I've given it a chance for me to grow accustomed to it. It is not getting any better.
