We plan to install floor-heating everywhere to maximise the efficiency of our (still to be bought) wood stove with central heating function, but this will surely not be done this winter. The good news is that I cut several cubic meters of wood already for next year. We will cut a few old oaks too in the next few weeks. These will be sawn to timber to repair our sheds, and the rest will burn in our new shiny wood heating system. Until then? thick socks, lots of intimacy and booze I suppose!

I am a very stubborn type and I do need hard evidence befor I believe such a thing, I have done quite some reading recently and am only becoming more and more confused. On the one hand there is the hard scientific evidence on e.g. the website of Fuji ( [link] ) and on the other hand there are loads of homebrew sites displaying orbs.

Most (and as far as I can tell all) of these are shot with cheap and simple digital cameras. Is there anyone here who has ever shot an orb with a proper SLR / flash? Do you know the phenomena, can you tell me more?

My reaction:

I can't believe it. What is going on? What kind of morale fascists are behind the screens?
Since when are emotions/feelings forbidden anyway.... I mean, last time I wrote about kids carving themselves up, since then I saw at least one photo of a lunatic with syringes stuck everywhere. This is normal? Let me be straight: as long as there are no bodily fluids involved you can publish pretty much anything here IMHO. There is enough warning that you are about to view mature content.

I understand there is a thin line between art and pornography, but this line is not very difficult to draw.

In other words: violence, gore and horror are OK, Eroticism is bad.

I thought this was an art community, but appearently the US thought police are here at work too and are perfectly happy publishing snapshots of every 14 year olds bunny and scribblings. There you have it: thought control on serious work, while the place becomes more and more poluted with for instance all these manga-style scribblings that are sore to the eye. There are other places for this kind of stuff. However, thats beside the point.

If the thought police is an issue: move the bloody servers to the Netherlands; I will be more than happy to help with advice and helping setting everything up; that happens to be my job.
