Like, I sat all today, trying to draw a Cassidy turnaround and, like, couldn't at all. I drew one pretty cool picture and then the rest was just crap crap crap.

Do the rest of you find this to be true? Cause, dang, is it frustrating.

I was thinking of starting a webcomic but... if I'm only able to draw one slightly good thing a day... then how is a whole freaking comic going to work?

Topic #2: I want to get a tattoo. The tattoo I want to get is of a sparrow, as in Matthew 10:29 (Are not two sparrows sold for a penny ? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.) because this verse reminds me that, although I am going through a chaotic and uncertain period of my life, I am still taken care of and God still has a plan and purpose for me. However, I do not have a job so I cannot pay for this tattoo. However, this tattoo is about me not having a spaz attack because I do not have a job. So it's like... I want the tattoo because I don't have a job but I can't get the tattoo because I don't have a job. It's funny. And annoying.

Right now, the plan is to get an internship for the summer and then stay in Philly for another year. I will get a lame normal person job. I will try to do art and animation on the side. I will start writing Bleed Epic. Sort of a dip my toes in rather than bell flop approach to life.

But I'm not sure if I like that approach.

The water seems wide and blue and I sometimes I'm afraid that if I keep playing it all cautious-like, I'll never get far in this ocean.

Ya know?

1. My effin' laptop currently has an effin' virus. Spam keeps popping up. I've tried everything but nothing has worked. I will next resort to hitting it with a hammer.

2. I started dying my hair in 9th grade. It has very rarely been it's natural color since, the poor thing.

3. Jobs I have considered before going to school for animation: farmer, zookeeper, writer, actor, interior designer, zoologist, bounty hunter.

4. I like vegetables. My four favorite vegetables are spinach, broccoli, eggplant, and squash.

5. I am a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I studied the martial art for about six or seven years but I quit this past summer. I do, however, still enjoy hitting people.

6. I had an invisible friend named Jessica when I was little. Her father was abusive and he ate horses. So... I think we killed him. Weird.

7. I was frighteningly obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the four year span between high school and University of the Arts. I was madly in love with Spike. I mean, like, I wrote his name in hearts on my notebooks and everything. In retrospect... kinda scary. Spike and I are still friends but we're not so dependent on each other. Currently, I'm exploring relationships with the Janitor from Scrubs and Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs, among others.

8. Um. I love UArts and the crazy kids I have met there and I wish I didn't ever have to leave them. So... I might not leave them. Ever.

My summer was messy and weird.

I'm back in school now. Which is less messy and weirder (the good kind). I love these people and I'm so glad that I transferred here. Best decision of my life thus far. Unfortunately, this is my last year. Then I face the oblivion that is Graduation. Ugh. Anyone want to give me a job? Please?

I finished coloring my George and Mookie cartoon so hopefully that'll be done soon. It's kinda... well... not as good as it could be, maybe? I hope people still like it, though.

Also, I have begun devouring feminist literature. It's about time, right? Right.

So. I am not a Harry Potter fan.

I don't hate him or his wizards or anything. I just don't walk in that world. When the book first came out, my mom read it aloud to my brother, sister, and I. We liked it alright. So then my mom started reading the second one to us. And for some reason, the part with the cat getting hung up by its tail scared the crap out of my sister and me. So my mom stopped reading it. We did see the first three movies. Numbers one and two were really super dull and didn't exactly inspire me to pick up the books again.

So that's me and Harry Potter.

HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, my mom, brother, sister, and I went to this big ol' fancy outdoor mall place. Just to get some Starbucks and chill out. (there is much stress in the anti-hero household at this point in time) Little did we know... it was flippin' Harry Potter day. We started seeing all these people in cloaks with glasses and lightening bolts on their heads and were like "ooooooooooh." So since we had nothing better to do, we decided to go into Barnes and Noble and check out the craziness.

The craziness was much crazier than we had anticipated. There were costumed weirdies of all ages and games and lectures and face painting and wackiness.

We felt completely left out. See, my brother and sister and I are generally the geeks of everything. Like... we go to midnight shows dressed up in costumes and the Renassaince Faire and shout out "OPTIMUS" every time a tractor trailer drives by. My brother pretty much only wears shirts with super heroes on them. I own several pairs of elf ears. My sister carries a Norrington toy around with her. Etc. And, for once, we were on the outside of the silliness. It was incredibly distressing.

SO. We snatched up all the books we were missing, 3-6. We got a Barnes and Noble membership card and a wristband indicating we had reserved a copy. We decided that my sister looked like Draco Malfoy in Gryffindor colors and I so happened to be wearing green and black so I pretended to really care about Slythern. Then we grabbed some coffee and sat back and watched all the people squee and chant and babble about, well, whatever it was they were babbling about.

It was awesome.

We left Barnes and Noble at 12:30 with a bag full of Harry Potter and a hardback of number seven and plans to read a great deal so we can be actual fans the time the last movie comes out.

Unfortunately, my sister, for reasons unknown, decided to read the very last sentence of the very last book and whined the whole way home that she had ruined the entire series for herself. So for those of you who actually are fans of Harry Potter, I advise you not to do this.

SIX WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME

1. When I get upset, I find a mirror and have a conversation with myself. Sometimes I just sorta talk to me and sometimes I pretend my reflection is someone else. It calms me down.

2. When I'm a passenger in a car, I look out the window and imagine people running alongside the car. Usually its the people from my book.
