Anyways, I think the general quality of art here on is getting better. Maybe it's because I can't see as much of the crap anymore with the limited main-page display of recent deviations, but the feeling I get is that serious people are submitting more art, while the ones who submit for idle purposes are backing down due to lack of attention.

Ever notice how the big four media companies perpetuate their own drama series in the form of news, therefore keeping viewers glued to the screen? All these stories of kidnappings and murders, which are common occurences in many locales across America, are given immediate and devout attention by the media in order to stay in a cycle of constant updates for fear of running dry and having nothing to show. This notion of nothing to show is, of course, complete bullshit, as there are many positive things being done every day of our lives, yet the worst case scenarios of humanity gone horribly wrong is displayed for everyone to see.

Normally, this is a good thing. After all, if everyone sees how fucked up some things have gotten and how low some people go, we'd be pressured as a society to change certain aspects of ourselves and build a better world. Instead, we disservice ourselves as selfish, apathetical neighbors who have neither the wisdom nor the motivation to treat these occurences as anything more than a soap opera of humanity, waiting for the undoubtedly satisfying "final episode." Who kidnapped little miss petite beautiful blonde from down-the-street suburbia? Did that adulterous man hack his pregnant wife to bits? With headlines like these, it is impossible not to watch.

I propose for any and all with internet hacking skills to add such a line to the index file of every major website imaginable, and teach M$ not to fuck with open-source browsers which are fully standards compliant, unlike IE.

Back at school, which means more comments for everyone! The modem was hell compared to this sweet T1, and I couldn't always do full views on images due to time constraints (for instance, the time it would have taken me to pick up the laptop and throw it through the fucking window, which means comments for no one). So yeah, I'm glad to be back.

I'm taking Scientific Glassblowing this semester, but hopefully I'll be able to use some extra shop resources and time to create artistic pieces of glass, since there's no way I'm just limiting myself to making test tubes. I'll see when I get there, though

I had gotten into a war over anthromorphs. I won't go into any details (you can check the details pages of the related comments I've had in the past week), and I've decided that I spoke prematurely, but I definitely spoke from the heart. It isn't the artist to blame for a mediocre DTF, but for all the fonbois who fav without thinking about why it deserves it. This happens far too often. I won't fav a piece unless it sets off some sort of emotion, a sense of awe within me. While I have shitloads of favs, they all mean something to me (or are just damn kickass eyecandy).

I'm slacking on the deviations, but that's because I'm a lazy bum. Combine that with the inability for this P2-333 to render anything in any small amount of time when working in 1600x1200 in PS6, and you get this lack of deviations flu. Ahh well.

I'm also thinking about taking stock photos of the big pants/hoodie variety, not sure how much interest there is in that.

Ok deviantz, I'm holding a contest! We'll call it the Animate PogoTribal's Icon in Some Creative Awesome Cool Spectacular Way Contest . Here's how it goes:

Take my current avatar and manipulate it into a creative animation. This will be somewhat tricky, considering that all you have to work with is the one gif and pieces of my deviations if you feel that there is some way to incorporate them. The color scheme should ideally be black and yellow, but if you make something creative using more colors then I will accept it. Keep in mind deviantArt's 15kb maximum avatar size. Submit it as a deviation and write me a note to let me know that you have entered.

What's the prize? A one month deviantArt subcription to you, from me I'm anxious to see what you guys can do. Deadline is by the end of the new year. Wait... that would be in one year. I mean end of THIS year... yeah.

I had also gotten into a war over anthromorphs. I won't go into any details (you can check the details pages of the related comments I've had in the past week), and I've decided that I spoke prematurely, but I definitely spoke from the heart. It isn't the artist to blame for a mediocre DTF, but for all the fonbois who fav without thinking about why it deserves it. This happens far too often. I won't fav a piece unless it sets off some sort of emotion, a sense of awe within me. While I have shitloads of favs, they all mean something to me (or are just damn kickass eyecandy).

I attempted to catch it in a piece of paper to crush it. I unfolded the paper to realize it was not there. 4 hours later I look, and it has replaced its old web with a fresh new one. I am impressed by nature's resilience....
