Ahhh how far you've come. Besides Skullface, he's my oldest character that I still draw.

How did he start out? Well like a good deal of us, after seeing the Spirit movie I ran to the drawing board to create my own horsey character. Because I loved paints I randomly came up with the wing markings for him. For his name I went dogpile searching for horse names and came across that one haha. He started out as a quiet introvert stallion, not anymore! I don't remember which year I actually came up with him, I found out about the spirit movie a year or two before it even came out. So he's either 7-9 years of age, wow almost a decade!!

Some of my first pictures of him shown him with facial markings, either a stripe, snip or a broken stripe, not too sure. Battlecry pretty much went dormant until I realised how easy it was to put my art on the internet, wow talk about a hyper kid in a candy store. Battlecry arose from his slumber and I started to draw him again.

A few times he had appeared with another character supposely his rival(now no longer existing.) A bay paint stallion called Outlaw. Shiner came a tad later as his half-brother.

A few drawings of Battlecry also existed on some of our old-ass corrupted harddrives, though I believe they are already somewhere in a landfill haha. I had print-outs but cannot find them. I hate myself for destroying some of my artwork.

The original story chapters(still on fanfiction wrote by my fabulous pal, crazysparkles) still exists back when I had him as Spirit and Rain's son. I changed that so I could have him as an independant character..

I never thought Battlecry would become so dang popular on here, last year or the year before when some awards were being handed out to the horse community he won the trophy for being the sexiest stallion hehhe! ^^

Battlecry's favorite mare, Flash, also had a few changes. She originally was just a very light grey with a blanket but I decided a blue roan was better suited as other people's characters looked just too much like her.

Skullface

Skullface, though i'm not as actively drawing him, back in the day he was huge in my book. He arrived before Battlecry and came before the Spirit movie came out(though inspired by it) He's about 9 years of age. I was a huge bone collector back in the day and combined the two things I loved. I have a huge book on his old drawings all the way to the very first ones, too bad I didn't do the same for Battlecry! D:

His favorite mare is a grey dappled mare, I forgot her name lmao. His mother was originaly a palomino(this was before I knew Spirit's mom was, hence why I changed it) I then designed his mother after my first paint mare, Sugar, who was a real fucking demon.

HOLY shit.. What was the sculptor thinking??? Sorry but i've never seen a horse yawn like that..and what makes it even more sad is they seemed to have lost the concept of "when the mouth opens the jaws gets wider"..hooray for hinge-jaw! The neck also makes it look unrealistic. Usually when horses yawn their neck stretches out. I don't even want to talk about the ears. I think Stone needs to do a makeover. D:

Hahha I love it even more now since it downloaded my cs3 so now I don't have to worry about Cujo being the only one with it. His name is Spot of course. Gotta keep the tradition of giving them cliche dog names. As for Fido, the ill-tempered, ill-bred, vista infected Dell I will keep him for just music and videos right now and typing stories. When Cujo passes on I will try and get windows 7 on Fido and see if it will tame the beast.

I began to notice this a few days ago when I'd see mysterious journals of long time friends leaving because of drama..drama drama..drama. I was confused but I pushed it aside till I saw Meelz poll about her. So I asked around and read the journals and saw the evidence.

Alright, as most of my older friends in the horse community know that i'm usually one of the people up front in this shit right? Remember all the wars last year and the year before that? haha..surprised I got no word of it via note as I usually do hahha.

Anyways I'll give my opinion from the meager evidence I know as of now so keep in mind I probably don't know as much as half of you.

Please..simmer down. Believe me, I used to throw full throttle wars at the tiniest theft issues on here. I mean..epic wars, one last year spread through a majority of DA beyond our horse community and spawned ED pages and 600 comment journals. It gets really tiring and often it does nothing but create deep enemies. Remember Aniutqa? Well after so many months of waging war we decided it was enough and we just wanted to get along. Well we became friends. End of story.

Enough is enough people. Please don't seperate all of us, it's one thing to get in a few fights but friends leaving?

Now before anybody starts chewing on Battlecry's tail despite the fact that Nessis is my friend, from the evidence supplied I do believe she traced. Now that doesn't mean I hate her guts. I am over that stage now. But yes, from the evidence I DO believe she traced. Considering the lines match up and as an artist myself and a graphic designer in the military I know much about eye-balling v.s tracing. Lines just don't lie. Nobody can recreate stuff that perfect unless you are one of those special people who can mold completely realistic horse scupltures within a few minutes like that one guy.

Though I am hearing a bunch of bs about her as well. It's one thing to accuse somebody is tracing, that is pretty easy but to accuse her of being a money sucking cunt as some people like to put it. Sorry but don't jump for the big gun just yet. Stuff like that is just off the bat, it stems away from the real issues here.

Not to mention I hear accusations of her not supplying links. Well I looked at some of the traced art she left in her gallery. She DOES supply links to the images she did trace, though she simply says she "referenced" from them. Honestly reffing and tracing are different in my eyes. Reffing is when I find an image I like..say a pose and draw from that inspiration, maybe change some things.

Here's a lesson to be learned. I learned much more now than I have in the past wars on here. Not all forms of tracing is wrong. As a graphic designer tracing certain things is actually the best(as in creating a carbon copy of an original logo for something or doing a portrait of somebody..you really need to trace it!)

Heck I have one piece in my gallery that is traced.

This one is traced, though you notice I mention it and supply a link. Actually I mention it in caps! haha. Notice nobody got angry about it. I was afraid people would. Why? Because I told everybody I did, despite the fact just about everybody knows me for being very good at free handing and coming up with stuff from scratch..

I think the real issue deep down with most of us is the fact that she didn't admit to it right in her deviations. Not the fact that she traced it but because she didn't say she traced it.

I just think we need to back off a bit and give her some air to breath. As long as you guys keep trying to hogtie her I don't think she will come back to explain herself like you guys want her too.

You can say i'm being unfair because yes she is my friend and yes I DO give my friends more trust. But can you blame any of us for that? I mean it's nature to trust a friend more than a stranger. I'm sure many of you that had close friends tend to give them a bit more to lean on than some complete stranger.

As of now, I think we need to caaaaaaaaaaalm down. Everybody knows know what she has done was wrong. I don't want to see another war here. If she wants to come back that is fine by me. The damage is done and who knows how many friends and fans she will have left.It will take her a long time to recover if any. I will stick with her though. Nobody here can change my mind. I don't get it lmao. It's a collage of different horses I drew stuck together with photoshop.Some of them are my original characters, some are horsesana's of other characters, some contest entries. Oh heeei everybody! I'm up here in Korea. Damn it's a big city and an assload of shops around here. I went walking among a few of them but didn't buy anything haha. I did go to a restaurant with my friends and we all ate a stew of octopus, shrimp, squid and other seafood with veggies and sticky rice with chopsticks XD. I'm not used to all the blaring city lights so I got a migraine and nausated. D: Anyways i'm having fun!

Pure Felinity~

It's a cat sims game. I've just started a little over 3 weeks ago and I enjoy it. You can adopt cats from breeders, a shelter or adopt a stray(upgrade only). It's pretty fun with all the neat body and color genetics/faults that comes along with each cat. Even some i've never heard of before so hey you get to learn a bit more about cats. Like Spiffy Horse, only more realistic, the cats have fluid stats which you have to keep up with such as its health and coat condition, and temperment levels. The also great thing about this show is if you are a really big time virtual pet player you can buy other things with real money such as more virtual money, special equipment for your cats and so forth. My own kitty is already on his way to being a champion soon! This game is nice because you are not swamped with millions of other "been-here-a-million-years-top-player" people. Well there are top players of course but personally I don't feel left out haha. I'm a newb and my kitten is doing well in shows. Plus there are many many breeds to choose from. I'm pookycat there.

MyWebHorse~

A very very new sims horse game. Very simple and still still needing a lot of work. It's really nice as since all the players are new you have a very big chance at being the top in this game. I've just started playing two weeks ago and my horses are all in the top 10# haha. You get to train your horse everyday and show them. This site still needs a lot of improving but it's fun. pookyhorse there

Showcat, Showdog~

There is a showhorse version but I'm stepping out of that one. It doesn't really interest me. But Showcat and Showdog are pretty interesting. Similar to Pure Felinity your pets have different parts of conformational faults your animal comes with. You can improve them by breeding them to a better dog and so forth to get better offspring. I'm a basic player here so you don't get a limitless number of pets unless you upgrade. Overall I enjoy this game but it seems you have to spend real money to actually get anywhere. Not really a bad thing if you enjoy these types of games. They also have a showbull as far as I heard. pookyhorse at both.

Canis-Equus~

This dog/horse/llama game is okay. There really isn't much to do with the animals other than show and breed them. Not really any genetics, stats or even coat colors unless I haven't been in depth enough. It's really easy to gain money here and points. pookyhorse there

Advertising for them again since this really fun virtual horse game is coming towards an instinction. Wish it wouldn't because it's one of the most fun games i've ever played. Being a member since early this year.
It's a game to breed, sell, show horses. Color/fault genetics! Can create your own bloodlines from foundations of many sorts of breeds. I'm advertising here because I know a lot of you like horses.

He'd start up and just have a black screen though I could hear him running. Kept trying to read that CD that had nothing on it. Dell sure makes retarded computers nowadays. Cujo's smarter than that. D: So yeah I had to reboot and clear him out too just to get him to cough out the cd and run! ugh. So now he's doing better. I was almost crying about it. I'm glad he's better but now I lost a lot of recent crap I have to retrieve!

i lurve him! The artist doing it for me doesn't do fantasy stuff, which I didn't know(i guess i didn't read lol) but she was willing to work out his markings to a more realistic style. at first i was afraid of the outcome but he's looking really neat! i like how she made his markings more akin to a real horse! he still has some work but so far so good!

just awesome awesome awesome! can't wait to see him in person!

i'm also looking for a model to match "UGLY" the draft gelding horse in my time machine fanfic. I've drawn quite a few pics of him with shadow(the morlock) riding him and he's quite a character in the pictures.
here are some i'd love to get for him. he's a spunky boy with a docked tail. There is a pic of him on here but I decided to change him back to a normal dappled grey.

i'm having it painting like battlecry.. only atad different since the seller won't paint "decos/fantasy" stuff so she'll make him more realistic and add a few things. Which i'm okay with

i've been looking at this model for like over 2 years and had never found one available until now. He's really hard to come across since he's really limited.

Why I bought him? Because when I first saw him I thought "heey I can totally see battlecry looking like him when he's really really old.."

He has so much character and I like all the details the sculpture has placed on it to make it an ugly and old stallion lol. I like how his face has this "i've been through it all and know it all."

so say hello to my first customed battlecry model! haha. a few months down the road I will search for another model and try and get a younger version of battlecry. i'm already looking at some that would do him justice! if you know anybody let me know because i'm willing to spend a few bucks!

Another journal cuz i'm bored

I decided to throw out a few tips that maybe can help some people on the topic of drawing horse. I'm sure many of us have had people come to us and ask how we got to where we are. This isn't any bragging journal. I still struggle in a lot of crap and on some issues of my horse anatomy have I started to notice weird quirks and mistakes that I couldn't put my finger on. I still have a long ways to go on improving on other things as well like my backgrounds, coloring, etc. Hopefully one day i'll get me a template computer haha.

1. PRACTICE TAKES TIME

Remember that a lot of the well-known horse artists on here did not just get their skill yesterday. It takes a long time with much much practice. Some get pissed off when they attempt to try the same level of skill as somebody they look up to and fail. Don't quit, it's great you are trying to practice. Remember you won't get "awesome" over night. There are many people that inspire me on here and I try to see why that certain drawing attracts me. Is it the coloring? Styling? The tools they use? How they outline something?

Here are some things I often hear on this site haha.

A. "I suck at drawing! Why can't I be like soandso! I'm jealous!"

That person got to where they are by practicing, experimenting, trial-and-error, patience. Just do the same thing and you will improve. Don't feel bad if you always have this in mind, it is what drives you to improve. There is nothing wrong with jealousy. Most feel it. The only time it is wrong is if you let it control you and you try to "smite" the artist you are exceedingly jealous of.(sadly somebody tried that with me. She was jealous of my horses and tried to put me down very much but I soon realized what her issue was.)

B. "Tracing is okay!"

No it really isn't unless you are at the very bottom and just learning. If you need to trace to practice you should keep your tracings in a book as practice. If you post them on here it's likely you will get in trouble. Don't ever claim traced art as your own unless it's from your own photographs that you have taken. Eventually though you need to get out of those "tracing training wheels" and step up to referencing instead. If you don't want to try well you will never improve. The only people who think tracing is okay is those who feel bothered that they don't want to try in the first place or just don't know how to move ahead.

C."But that person naturally has more skill than I do!"

It's true some are more gifted at drawing or coloring than some. I royally suck at backgrounds and I am trying to improve. I am very blind at "what tree goes where and why" lmao while some of my other friends create badass masterpieces. Don't feel bad at all.

D. "I feel bad having to use photos to draw from."

There is nothing wrong with that at all. Everybody does or had to at one point until they attemp to draw from memory. You can't learn how to draw an animal unless you KNOW what it looks like. You know what a ramburgular is? Well neither do I and I can't drawn one unless I know what it is lol. I usually draw from memory but if it's a special case as a pet I use a photo so I don't miss characteristics that might differ from others. Anybody who tells you using photos is bad is being a hypocrite themselves.

E. "Is reference bad?"

Nope not at all. As with drawing photos you can't practice and improve on how an animal looks like unless you study their anatomy. I reference to my horses and photographs to see how a certain body part looks like at different angles. I do often draw from memory but I always go back to a real horse to see if i'm starting to drift off. It is natural for an artist to "drift off" of something in their works such as styling and a certain way you draw.

F. "I want my cartoon horses to have their own style."

The best way is to study real horses. If you study somebody else's style you will learn theirs instead. If you study spirit style well the only thing your brain will know is how to draw that. You need to expose yourself to real animals and see how you can develop your own style. If you are used to drawing already a specific style it will take you awhile to undo it. Don't give up. I started out spirit style and I've come a long way. I already have a journal on this.

G. "I don't care about trying. I will just always use linearts or trace other people's stuff."

I had a few topics on this before but nobody(or i think so lol) could really answer it. I created Battlecry way back in like 2002 so I was a retard about paint patterns back then.

Okay for those who KNOW about paint markings.. What is he? A tobiano? An Overo? A Tovero? A whatthefuckiano? A holyshitthisishardero?

Just pretend he has normal markings haha. So what is he? And PLEASE people do not answer if you do not know. The last time I posted about this I got

I think even somebody thought he was an arabian mix or whatever LMAO..

That's NOT what i'm talking about. I know his breed. I know his colors. I know he's a paint. Do you think i'm that dumb really? haha. I just want to know what type of paint he is. Yes there are types.

Okay the last time the pics didn't seem to help. I know I have a few experts on here.

His wing markings DO cross over his back. They are connected. So yes white does stretch over his withers. His legs are all solid colored, no white. He has no facial markings. His eyes are dark. His mane/tail are two-colored.

I mean you gotta be a total douche if it doesn't pass your mind to think "hey I didn't draw this...I should give credit since it says so on the description i'm using it from." So really come on. Credit me if you are gonna use/ref my stuff. There is nothing more I hate when I read comments like this..

I remember a few cases i've seen where the commenter would ask if the person drew all of it. The douche bag wouldn't answer haha.

I know you certainly can't claim poses..duh.. but if you are gonna totally COPY one from somebody, especially if it's a very special looking pose and everybody knows "hey that looks like-"..lend credit to the reference. A lot of the poses I put into these pics/linearts are from scratch and some I work my ass off to make it look right. I don't mind it at all if somebody wants to use it. Feel free! Reference is what helps ya. Helped me lol. But don't go all having your commenters THINK you pulled ALL that terrific work out of your ass all by yourself. Again I am NOT claiming poses. I hope you get what I mean because this area is very grey and fuzzy.

Now this isn't really aimed at those that just use mine as a small piece of reference. If it doesn't look like mine and you changed it a lot then I don't really care. But if you totally ripped it down to the last hair on the horse..you better credit. You see? Get what I mean? If not then I can't help you. You'll learn someday from experience.

If you are gonna use/trace over my lineart..you better credit. I don't care if it's a simple one. I can tell if you did or not by the exact styling and down to the last strand of hair hahah. Don't even try to lie to me because I know my art. Believe me any artist that is very dedicated..KNOWS their art.

Don't be like this bitch right here. She steals linearts and claims she doesn't remember who they belong to. Pound the living SHIT out of her if you want. She's free game since several of my other friends have tried to make her surrender her stolen goods.

On the topic of linearts somebody said something that reminded me. Those of you using lots of linearts or ripping others off. There is no shortcuts. Doing that won't make you as talented as some horse artists on here. I have folks ask me all the time how do I draw so well?(i'm not boasting either)
I tell them years and years of practice. Sometimes I get no response back. Don't like what you hear? LOL well tough that is how you get better is actually trying. Yes you will have dead-ends and days of grueling headaches that make you wonder why you even try to draw. But that's the part of it. Practice, trial-and-error, experimenting. Look at tutorials too they can help.

Anyways i'm almost done packing up my room. Damn this place is a MESS hahha. I got like four containers full of crap.

My brother came home from Afghanistan!!! I was fucking worried about him when he went over. It was really hairy over where he was at. He's coming over today and probably gonna spend a few days with us yay! We are all going out together for dinner as a family. Probably our last for a long time D:

The horses are sold and will be leaving to their new home. We have been trying to sell them for 2 years lol. But now they found a new family who has horse experience and has kids. Since I am going in the service and my parents have both full time jobs there won't be any time for the horses as there once was in the past. I'm going to miss them but i'm glad the new family will give them a great life.

It's going to be real busy for me for awhile till I leave. Having to deal with insurance and crap haha.

This journal is for those trying to learn their own style and trying to pull themselves out from the style seen in the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. These are the basic steps that I went through to crawl out from the Spirity world XD.

As I said in my other journal “Horse Drawing Quirks.” You would need to start referencing real horses or photography. There is nothing wrong with this and it is very important to use reference. Even though I say I hardly copy any poses like I used to and pretty much attempt to draw from memory. From time to time I always go back to looking over a real horse's anatomy and seeing what my art is overlooking. I didn't get the way I am from studying absolutely nothing. It's impossible. It's like drawing zebra when you don't even know what one looks like. You are bound to get it wrong and it will show. In some of those Disney and other animation company flicks you can tell if they even studied the animal they animated. Take Balto for instance. You can see that they studied the dogs and sledding methods in the first film. In the sequels..well it was obvious from the poor Balto and Jenna's carriage, anatomy and so forth that they did not bother to study the breeds and probably little on anatomy.
Brother Bear is another great one. I enjoyed the fact that Disney took the time to observe and study bears for animating. It really showed in the mother bear the best. She looked and moved in so many ways like a real bear. I was impressed.

Since I am a visual person and artists naturally are I will show you the differences between real horses and Spirit style to show you how you can develop your own styles by teaching yourself how to create your own “lines.” Remember that you don't necessarily have to draw your horses exactly like you see in real life but they will help you open your eyes to horse anatomy you don't see in the movie.

Naturally I will start with the head as it is the most distinguishable part of the style.

Notice the differences. It is probably best to view both types of links next to each other to see better. In Spirit his eyes are more angled towards the front like that of a carnivorous animal. The horse's eyes point outwards. Spirit's eye ridges are also very well-developed compared to a real horse's. This was exaggerated to help with Spirit's expressions.
On to his nostrils notice the shape is different from the real horse's as well. They are triangle-shaped angled inwards and downwards.
Spirit's nose bridge from his eyes to his muzzle is also drawn very flat and wide. If you notice on a real horse it is not that way but fairly well-rounded and narrowish.
They also give Spirit a very flat forehead compared to a real horse. His eyes are greatly enlarged as well and I notice in may shots they shorten his face dramatically.
His jowls(cheeks) are also not very clearly defined. In a lot of scenes his cheeks seem to take up the entire length of his head lol. Compare his cheeks to a real horse.
Also for the head. It depends on the breed your horse is. Does it have a roman nose? Flat nose? Dished? Overall Spirit's head has little detail, which is okay as it is more convenient for animating. But remember..you are doing a drawing.

On Spirit they draw the lips very thin and very pointed. On a real horse they are thicker, especially at the tip of the top lip. Also remember the horse's lips is like a hand to them. This isn't a rant at all. Just a helpful journal on common mistakes i've seen and done. Ones I used to do in my art and probably on occasion if I forget haha. In a way this might not be considered a "mistake." It depends on how you view it and your own style. If you are a person aiming to better your horse anatomy then this might be for you. I am still learning myself of course.I am personally picky about my horse art so yeah.

There are a few I will not mention for reasons that they are so unnoticeable and not as important as some of these listed. These mistakes are mainly basic ones. I won't get too much into deep-seated anatomy.

If you don't care about such stuff and prefer cartoony or for whichever reason than this journal is not aimed for you. I don't care to hear you tell me how "why does it matter?" or "I don't care about that." comments. Just pass this one up then if it isn't important to you.

This is just a small lesson on some quirks I've noticed over the years. All the art examples are mine.All other pics off the net. I am also using Spirit as an example. Again, I do not hate Spirit. I only use him because about 99% of my watchers idolize him as correct.

1.Trying to learn horse anatomy from a cartoon lol. I see people trying to develop their own style but don't seem to bother venturing out from the "spirit" circle. If you don't get out then you will always stay in. I learned how to develop my own style and learn more about anatomy but referencing to real horses and trying to create my own style based from what I see off of real horses.

There were several things I noticed so vastly different from the "Spirit" style and from real horses. Spirit is good for somebody who is just learning how to draw cartoon horses and needs a simple style to practice from. But if you are aiming to better yourself in horses you will need to graduate to real ones. It will take a long time to learn. There are no short-cuts.

This isn't a proper reference if you are trying to learn to better yourself in horse anatomy. This is just a simple cartoon styling with so many issues I can not point out. I'm a picky-ass haha. But for the movie it's fine enough.

2. The legs on the horse. This mistake is not really as serious if you don't care about how crooked your horse's legs are. I often see most draw the hooves pointing all the way out facing east/west on a horse just standing there. On real horses this is considered a really bad conformation issue. It's called "toed-out". As far as I heard, the feet should point forward or can be slightly out when standing. Also on most of these I often see the hocks point inwards. This is referred to as being "cow-hocked." This is only aimed at horses standing. When they are running,jumping the angles can change.

Here's an example of mine where I used to do this. Look how his feet point out and his hocks point inwards. I've seen most animated horses with feet like this. It's very common on pretty much most cartoon animals anyways.

3. Hinge-jaw. When people draw the mouth open they forget the horse's jaw is long and that as the jaw opens it makes the head appear to widen. Some only draw the "mouth" open and leave the rest of the jaw "closed." Kinda think of a hinge. It's hard to explain.

Here is a perfect example of hinge-jaw. See how the jaw is literally broken in this picture? Notice the bottom of the jaw-line and then the teeth? Draw a line if you want to haha.

4. Broom-Tail. I noticed in the movie Spirit where many reference from. They draw the tail as if it was just hair hanging from the ass-cheeks XD. Remember the tail is just like any other animals..just covered in hair. There is bone,tissue,skin under all that hair. It can stand out erect and can wag and can be broken. Also worth noting, the horse's tailbone is bare underneath near the root.

Anyways I heard of one of my friends getting picked on by some PC(politically correct) asshole because her horse characters had genitalia on it. He told her to label it mature.

Dude? This place isn’t fucking Disney. I believe she’s drawing it for herself. It’s HER art. Not yours. If she wants to put horse nuggets on her stallions guess what? Well she can.

People there is nothing wrong with drawing genitalia on your animals. I draw both stallion and mare parts on mine equine charries. I don’t see any problem with it. It’s a fucking body part. Blame the taboo that made you think otherwise.

I don’t mind if you find it uncomfortable drawing the parts on your horses. It’s your art. I don’t mind seeing Disney’s genderless cartoon characters either. Doesn’t bug me.

But you idiots out there that think you can go around telling people to label their artwork mature because their animal characters have sheaths/balls/vaginas/udders/nipples?( I’m not talking about full blown porn now. Just like how I draw it.) You can just leave them alone and search for art that doesn’t. Don’t you DARE tell them to label it mature just because you probably can’t look at your own without screaming like you have an alien creeping out your ass. That’s your own personal issue.

If I worked for a cartoon company yeah I can deal with drawing genderless animals. But the art I put on here is my own stuff. You will not find me drawing up no horse that you can’t tell if it’s a girl or a boy lol. Some people on here have told me they appreciated how I included that stuff and how I inspired them to do the same.

Hell look at Spirit. He has a sheath most of the time. I guess they had multiple animation artists work on him and some were those “genderless” types and some were more daring. I don’t know. But anyways I was expecting some public outcry from parents the way things go nowadays. I guess the kids could stand seeing their favorite cute cartoon horsie with a cock.
Same with Plague dogs. Rowf and Snitter had the full package and anus’s. Yet no complaints there either.

I understand out in the real world when you work as a cartoon animator or a Graphic Designer or whatever you have to take these things into consideration. It depends on the situation and the purpose.

But if it’s just for your own private gallery on Deviantart or home? Who gives a flipping fuck. If you can’t handle seeing horse balls without complaining on a website then you have no business being in this place. There are much worse things on the nets then animal genitals on artwork to worry about.

Anyways I’m extra pissed because after 3 weeks of waiting the army decided to tell me NOW that my waiver wasn’t enough and now I had to do the doctor crap all over again. Weee. Good thing tomorrow is my last run to the doctor. The army better give me a yes or no answer the next round.

Yes a few times. My worst was when my horse pretty much bolted out from under me and I got dragged a few feet, landed on my elbow lol. Second worst was on Pauline. I fell straight on my ass and I jsut felt my insides hit the bottom haha. I've been bitten by other horses as well when riding(stupid newb kids and crowded arena)

Ugh honestly people..stop with the spirit comments. Really..please.

I try, well a lot of us try, to achieve our own styles in equine cartoons/art. We don't care to hear all the time that our crap reminds you of Spirit. Hell I look at my stuff and Spirit and it barely looks like Spirit. Have fun matching up the lines. I haven't worked on my styles for the past few years for nothing.

I'll admit right here, when I look at cartoon horses Spirit does pop in my head LMAO he HAUNTS me. But you know? I remind myself that Spirit is not the ONLY cartoon horse out there. Even the horse cartoons older then Spirit get that cliche comment so it's not always because yours came after Spirit arrived on the screen. Personally I try to see what makes their style unique and different from others. Not to constantly try and stick it on Spirit. I understand for most of you that Spirit is your childhood cartoon and probably the first ever inspiration to draw horses. I owe Spirit a lot for re-inspiring me to draw horses.

Please guys refrain yourself from repeating that stone-age comment. It's so..sooooooooooo old. So friggen old. So eight years old. So cliche that I wanna scrape the skin off my arm and rub lemon juice and salt on it. I believe most of us have heard it millions of times. It's like the Black Plague, only with spirit the stallion, all over again.

We don't care. Most if not all of us equine artists have seen Spirit. We don't need a constant reminder of it.

Now don't get me wrong. A lot of us adore Spirit. It's just really really old.
Remember. Spirit is NOT the only horse cartoon, he's NOT the only one of that color and there will probably be many more horsie cartoons in the future. He's NOT the first first cartoon horse to sport eyebrows either! Want proof? well here ya go. altivo(sp?) existed way before him. Oi Vey.

Why me?? Now i'm plagued by vundo trojans that just won't leave my computer alone. They stick like stink on poo. Even my fantastic superantispyware program that has always been so faithful in the past can't scrape them buddies off.

Now i'm always getting friggen popup ads. I just can't get rid of them at all UGH. I was hit hard by some nasty viruses the other day and I know that's what caused it. Now my comp is slowing up.
