Not much going on in my world except exams *eeekk*. I really am not looking forward to my science exam tomorrow. I hope i don't fail.

Man it is hot, welcome to Australia........ the land of heat waves..........

so tonight i'm doing stage crew for my old primary school, its gonna be loadsa fun I think. but i relli do feel sorry for the kids on stage, theatre lights get very hot.

I have a new toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a baritone sax and it is HUGE!!!! and very heavy I'm also saving up to buy a wacom for xmas. does anybody have a bamboo fun? if you do can u tell me what u think of it thanx.

Unfortunately this little update on my not-so-interesting life might be all for a while as I'm going to Japan in just over a week. I promise to take loadsa photos and actually get round to posting some when I get back!!

In other newas, the priciple at my school died. It was quite a shock though i knew something was up. Because I'm in band I dont have to go to assemblies so it was weired that band peoples had to go to assembly. Last time that happend the whole scool almost got banned from the local shopping centre because of a fight. And the told us the principle died instead of us getting into trouble!!

Last week I had my birthday!!! On Friday me and a couple of my mates went to a local Mexican restaurant with my family. I think we ate waaayyyy to much!

On Wednesday I found a stray duckling in our front yard with no mother in sight. Eventually the duckling worked its way into our backyard and then to behind our shed. Then amazingly we found the duck family... over the other side of the back fence.

problem no. 1: how the hell do I get the duckling over the fence?

thats easily solved right? just pick the thing up and give it to the nice lady over the back fence so she can reunite the family.... not

problem no. 2: How do I catch it, those things move fast?!

well after about 10 minutes I managed the impossible. The duckling decided that a pile of mesh next to the shed would make good camouflage. I managed to trap the duckling and pick it up. the rest should be easy...

problem no. 3: the "nice lady" over the fence doesn't like animals and flatly refuses to take the duckling from me!!

By this stage the poor thing was shaking from fright and I really didn't want to drop him (was it a him?) over the fence in case I hurt him. So the lady had to find a bucket while keeping the family from leaving. eventually said bucket was found and the duckling was reunited with its mother and siblings.

Also, I had a scare that I wouldn't get into digital photography at school! Thank god thats sorted out.

Yes, last week was fun....

I don't know exactly what happened but the painting area in the plastics workshop caught alight and now the whole workshop is black and it's roped off. I was in science when it happened and everyone thought it was another drill until we got to the windows near the stairs and it was so smokey that you couldn't see across the basketball court!!! My friend is really pissed off cause she thinks she's gonna fail tech cause her project got burnt.

In other news the Clipsal 500 car race happened again this week so I shall be posting endless car photos very soon. After the race on Thursday night there was a concert and I saw the Living End, Gyroscope and the Butterfly Effect. It was great but now I fell really, really tired and I might continue to make ditzy remarks for the rest of the week.

I'm also trying to learn how to draw so I can show you guys my characters, so some of my pics are on the to post list.

So in other news I had my first sax lesson (yay!) and some of my new subjects are really cool. This semester I'm doing music, Japanese and chef's basic as well as the compulsory stuff like english and maths and next semester I have digital photography to look forward to so my school year is actually looking survivable. not much else to say really though my friend is now going out with the same guy that shes been out with about 20 times already in the past couple of years. It always ends the same way so i'm not looking forward with the grumpy mood that comes with the break-up.

So schools finishing and I had exams this week. NOT FUN! I hope i did ok in the science one cause my teacher from the begining of the year was crap and didn't teach us much at all. We've got a better teacher now so it dosent seem like a wasted 45 minutes every time we have a lesson.

My Ex boyfriend who moved interstate wants to start going out with me long distance. I dunno if I should say yes or no yet.

Also got swoped by a bird on the way to the music classrooms today. evil bird

and I got a job spotlighting for a drama thing last night so I just want to go to bed.

Westminster Band Comps are coming up in about 2 weeks and I'm starting to get a little nervous. It's amazing because I wasn't even jittery last year, must be because were more serious than last year and were in the same heat as Marietville High which is THE music high school of South Australia!!!

Then the week after that we fly to Singapore!!! !!!

Oh and one of my best friends, Paige, got into a fight. The cops got involved to . She now sports a beautiful black eye!!

Well now I've gone hypo about V6 I actually have some news. I'M GOING TO MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE FOR AN INDIAN HINDU WEDDING YAY!!!!!!! so many photo opportunities!!! I'm leaving in 6 weeks so i hope I can find internet cafes or sumthing so i can still check my messages and upload photos to deviantART while we're over there.

Also some how I got straight A's for this semester at skool as well as A's for flute, clarinet and my Maths exam. I think I got lucky!!

Well actually it's a back-water lagoon and it was really pretty. Especially in the morning, I woke up on Saturday to a thick fog everywhere. It was freezing but thats what happens when you get stuck sleeping in a tent!!!

Anyway this place was fantastic for kayaking and photography.

(MENTAL-NOTE-TO-SELF: must get around to posting those photos)

I also went fishing. We caught a carp that was probably 30cm long, which is big for carp. The only problem with this was that you can't really eat carp because it's to boney, and it's illegal to through them back into the river cause their introduced pests that have literally over-run the whole river. So we had this dead fish hanging around for a while. But that bait smelt nice, sort of like the play-dough you can bye from the shops!!

The shack we stayed at was owned by my dad's boss, and all dad's workmates were down there as well.

The food was yummy. Who knew food cooked over a camp fire could be soooooo good!! we had 2 types of curry one night and apricot chicken on the other night. YUM!!!!

anyways, now I've bored you all with that, Its only 5 more days until... I'll leave it to your imagination to finish the sentence (Tash I will kill you if you don't remember what happens in 5 days time!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I also managed to completely miss stitching my hand instead of the fabric in home ec!!! Why do we even have to learn how to use sewing machines?! Also on my list of things-I-have-managed-to-avoid is that i haven't lost my locker key... yet!

Though its good that i haven't done anything disastrous so far it makes for a very boring week, as if skool wasn't boring enough already!!! maybe i should write a skool survival guide during science class!!!

Oh, and my friend is coming over from Perth in a couple of weeks!! YAY!!!
