I spent the last half hour practicing the male face.

I only got two heads done. I am going to go out on a limb here and assume the more I practice the more heads I will be able to complete in a shorter span of time and the more efficient they will come out.

Still. I felt pretty good sitting there.

Apparently listening to the Blues while drawing helps.

Very cool.

I'll probably draw for another hour when I come home from work and then I'll start work on my poetry paper.

Good day.

In the last hour or so I drew a head portrait of myself in an elf hat and an upper-body shot of what was meant to be Jamie Madrox (the Multiple Man in Marvel's X-Factor), based off a photo taken of myself grasping my hair and looking, for lack of a better word, "AHHHHHH!" but it mostly looks like me with a Multiple Man shirt on.

My first hurtle after nabbing human anatomy and posture is how to distinguish between different facial features.

I can't keep drawing myself for the rest of my life, yo.

I'll upload them when I get a workable scanner.

I think I'm at that point where I realize I'm young enough to do anything I want, but realize that window of opportunity doesn't stay open for very long.

It's a great period of promise and uncertainty.

I stopped calling myself a writer, because I never write. I like the idea of being a writer, but I am far and away from being considered for the label.

Well that ends now. If I love to write so much, I should do it. It's a disservice to myself and years of wasted creative potential if I don't.

I also want to pick up comic book inking.
