So, I'm chilling down here in Missouri, which is a LONG way from my home state of Minnesota (go Vikings!) but it's also almost a very different culture. Things are seen differently down here. I suppose that's because I'm in a small town (aka: a "city" the size of a suburb in MN) that really, tries to be a city, but can't. It's kind of a strange shift from the suburban mentality to the small town mentality. Everyone here (with the exception of maybe one) has the small town mentality because they're from cities that aren't even on a map of Missouri. It's strange.

Anyway, I'm in a program called Masters Commission which is basically an intense discipleship program. It's kind of strict and not really planned at all, but also full of fun. I can't really explain how I feel about it... Yeah, some of it is really hard and often times I find myself failing or feeling like I've let someone down; but there's other parts that I just love and try to give my absolute best and excel at them. It's just... an adventure.

I've learned a lot about God and who He is, and who the American church has made Him out to be. I've learned that the American church really has a lot of it wrong when it comes to God; and, regardless of what we think - we don't know everything. I've also come to realize that I don't much care about denominational boarders... yes, I still go to an Assemblies of God church, but I don't think that they have everything 100% right, and I'm not sure I truly believe everything man has said when the Assemblies were created (by MAN - not God).

Wow, that got a little deeper than intended... I really just wanted you all to know that I'm doing alright and am not dead. I've done a lot these past few months, including rock climbing, repelling down cliffs in the Ozarks, making the world's WORST mac an cheese, making new friends, learning to bite my tongue, admiring stars, learning about God, knowing God, and so much more. It's pretty crazy awesome, and I'm looking forward to where this adventure takes me :]

To lighten the mood of this journal... Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving? What football teams are you rooting for? Me - I gotta watch the Vikings <3 Brett Favre + Adrian Peterson = WIN.

YAY!!

Well, a few things have happened since I last updated.
First, I went to camp!! It was definitely the best week of my life :] I learned so much about God and grace, it was AMAZING!! I'm working on a video that I can show you once I finish it.
Second, I made some major changes in my life

That's always a good thing! My life has turned around for the better now!
Finally, I traveled to the vast nothingness known as North Dakota (where I am now).

Ok, I don't have anything against North Dakota, but does the eight hour drive have to be so boring? Really, they could put SOMETHING interesting so the driver doesn't die of boredom! Just kidding, it wasn't too awful. I saw some buffalo in a buffalo museum that we passed on our way here. There were also some camels in a zoo we passed, that was cool too. For the most part, though, the drive was just farms, cows, and hay... LOTS. OF. HAY. Oh, and there were lots of sunflowers too, which were really pretty :] We're in Minot today, and we're heading to Bismarck on Saturday. When we go to Bismarck, there's a zoo that my dad and I might go to! I promise that if we go, I'll take pictures.
Oh, I forgot to mention, this trip is just with me and my dad :] My sister and my mom are staying home this week. The only reason is because my dad isn't able to come with my mom to drop me off at college, so, he took me on his business trip to North Dakota instead. I'm having a lot of fun so far

Tomorrow, we get to a church in the area! It's going to be sweet.
There's a mall and a waterpark attached to our hotel, it's pretty sweet. I don't intend on visiting the waterpark, but I'll probably check out the mall and spend a significant amount of time there while my dad is doing and audit at some bank an hour and a half away (yay work

).

I brought my Nintendo DS, but I don't know how to find my friendship code :/ There's wifi in the hotel, and I was hoping to tap into it and actually play with someone else. So, if you can tell me how to find my friendship code thing or if someone wants to do DS Download play, let me know. Oh, and I'm always open to pictochat. My username is Meowface, and I'm usually in room A. Let me know if you would like to get ahold of me that way :]

Yeah, you read correctly. Pretty-pretty-star is having a birthday!! July 5th is my eighteenth birthday! That's right, I'm gonna be an ADULT baby!

That's what's coming up in my life, but since I haven't updated in a while, let me tell you the recent events that have happened.

On June 8th, I graduated from high school. I got my grades, and I ended on the B honor roll

I also lettered in speech, which was amazing!

I also had my grad party, which was fun. However, I got a really bad sunburn

oh well. I loved it!

Oh, before anyone asks - I have NO IDEA what I'm doing for college yet. I'm looking into a program called Master's Commission, but I haven't been accepted yet :/ So, I am waiting. I am accepted at Valley Forge Christian College, but I can't afford it... oh, and I have to find something to do in the fall because my parents have decided that I either go to school in the fall or I pay rent... yay.

Anyway, that's all that's going on in my life right now. What's going on with all of you?

's niece is MISSING! She disappeared from the Glen Park Gas on the corner of Louisiana and Ridge Rd. around the Gary/Hobart/Portage area in Indiana.
Her name is Jada Justice, or JJ, and she went missing around 10pm Tuesday, June 16. She was wearing a multi-colored outfit with a matching skirt and jacket, she had a white tank top and sandals.

Not that I'm HAPPY about leaving everyone, but it needs to be done, so I might as well enjoy it. Yay college!

Well, I've been in second semester for a while now, and it's fun. My amazing friend is in my class, and it's epic! lol There's, like, five speech kids in that class - it's a speech party! YAY haha

Anywayyyy, I've started speech team again, and I love it! YAY! My speech this year is about how we, as Americans, don't do things that we see need to be done and we don't do things to stop things that are wrong. Yes. It's awesome, if I do say so myself. lol I worked hard on it. My solution needs work, though, but that's what my individual practices are for!

I am taking a break from dA and facebook, and recreational use of the internet in general.

The reason for this is actually because of a text that I recieved last night from my friend Mark. He told me that God had told him that the reason I was going through these trials is so that God can mold me into a better Christian and to be more of the person He wants me to be.
While that was important for me to hear, it was the second part that really caught my attention.

He said that our God is a jealous God and He wants ALL of me. So, that got me thinking about how much time I spend doing other stuff rather than spending time with God. To those of you who know me in real life, that might be a shock, but it's true.
So, I have decided that I will be taking this break to spend some much needed personal growth time with God. I can't do all my worship time corporately (aka: in a church setting), I need some private time with God everyday, and I'm not getting that.

Also, I am having some really hard things going on in my life. There's a lot of family medical problems that are going on right now. Also, I am having some problems with some friends, which is REALLY draining me a lot. There's also some of the old thoughts of depression coming back, which is really painful.

I really just need to get back to God, and I need to spend some time just me and God. It's nothing against you guys, it's just a personal thing.

If any of you would like to pray for me, I would greatly appreciate that

However, if you're not religious, anything that you feel like doing to say that you're thinking about me will be greatly appreciated too

! I am back as of late Sunday night from Missouri. I JUST finished reading all your journals, comments, and looking at deviations. Man, you guys are awesome :]

Missouri was awesome, btw. I got to be in eight states in five days! I was in: Minnesota (where I live!), Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky (went to Paducah), Tennessee (Memphis! and Beale Street

), Arkansas (drove through it... but stopped for gas, so it counts!), Illinois (coming back home), and Wisconsin (eww cheese!). Oh, and the people down south are crazy... it was 55 degrees and my cousins are all bundled up in their heavy jackets, mittens, hats, etc. What's with that? I wait until it's 45 or below to even BRING my jacket to school. I don't wear my jacket until it's 35 or below, and I don't bundle up until it's 20 or colder. I'd like to see my cousins experience a Minnesota winter

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I have posted a few new pieces of art and I updated my deviantID that said I was still sixteen lol I haven't been sixteen since July XD

Also, the photomanip that I updated earlier today is the start of a more serious line of artwork, I think. Don't get me wrong, I'll still have a lot of fun stuff, but I think that I might start doing more serious pieces - more personal stuff.

There are a few reasons for this, if you're interested. The first reason is that I have a lot happening in my life right now, there's a lot of stuff that's hard and I'm fighting to get through it. Doing these serious pieces is sort of my way of saying, "Yeah, it's hard, but I'm still going to trust in God." It's just a little affermation of my faith. The second reason is that I really want to use all of my abilities to bring glory to God. I want to show Him and everyone else that God is number one in my life. Therefore, I'm going to do pieces that are centered around Him.

Like I said, however, this doesn't mean I won't do anything like the old stuff anymore, it just means that along with the old stuff, I'm going to be doing more serious stuff.

...anyway ...

So, as you may or may not know, I was given a vision at camp where I was preaching to to teenagers. However, at the time, I didn't know it was a vision - I thought it was my imagination acting up. So, I prayed about it for the rest of the week, and discovered God's calling on my life - to be an evangelist.

However, I had absolutely no idea how to get there. I thought that I would go to North Central - but then what? Not to mention I was scared. How could God want ME to speak to teenagers? I was so scared, that I was considering running from the mission fields that He's already placed me in.

Then on Monday night, I think, the story of God rejecting Saul as king (1 Samuel 15) would not get out of my mind. I finally had to journal about it, because it would not stay out of my mind. And I discovered that we are like Saul. God has changed our lives, and expects us to fully kill our old lives (like Saul was to kill the Amalekites). However, we tend to hold on to some things (whether it's fear, secular music, the past, whatever), like Saul's men held on to whatever was pleasing to the eye. And as long as we hold on to those things, God won't show us what plans that He has for us, because we're still clinging to the old ways.

By Wednesday night, those thoughts had not left my head, and it wasn't until Chris Mancl started preaching that I found out why. He had talked about 1 Samuel 10, and how we need to give up our baggage (coincidence? I think not!). So, I went up to the altar and I gave up the things I would run back to, and the things that would keep me from doing God's will (mainly my past, and general fear). And you know what? God began to work in me.

Fast-forwarding to last night, I was praying both for the Encounter God Service, and to be used by God. I had given up my baggage, so I was hoping and praying that God would show me what He wanted me to do.
And this is what He showed me:
God gave me a vision of me, my sister, and a friend of mine, in the middle of the commons at my school. For those of you who have never been to my school, the commons is a giant circle, and we were standing in the middle of it. Anyway, we were standing there sometime before school, and we were praying, there was a little bit of worshiping too, and I was preaching! So, then I saw the three of us kind of getting laughed at, but I heard Dave reading Matthew 5:10-12 (seriously, it's not a coincidence that this is the ONLY part of what he said that I heard). Despite the fact that we were getting laughed at, we continued to meet there everyday. By winter (or late fall, I couldn't really tell), we had about 15 people, and by spring, there were 25 people. Finally, by the middle of spring, the whole commons was filled to people who were meeting with us! And I was preaching, to the WHOLE COMMONS! It was AWESOME!
Then, I heard God tell me that what I had seen was going to be my start and the vision I had at camp would be my end!
God also told me that I had to wait until I had left my fear and past at the altar. Because, until I stopped running back to that, God couldn't show me His plans for me. And He also told me that this vision was what everything that happened to me in youth group recently was for. Now that I have been given His Spirit, God is going to have me use it to reach people! AWESOME!

It was amazing guys! I can't believe that I am going to be preaching to kids at my school! I'm still kind of scared, so please pray that God gives me the boldness to do this.

I'm excited for school to start now!

In case you haven't noticed, I deleted a few deviations.

If you're curious, here's why I deleted them:
The few pictures of me I had in my gallery were removed just so that I remove all chance of those creepy internet stalkers finding me D:
I know, I know... I'm paranoid. But I'd rather be paranoid than be stalked.

Then, the deviations that were mature contented I also removed. I want my gallery to reflect the person who I have said many times that I am. And I just felt... guilty for having those in my gallery.

So, in cse you're wondering where those deviations have gone, that's where.

Oh, and I'm going to be away for a while. School is starting soon, and I have some reading to do and some shopping.
If you don't see me for a while, don't be scared. I haven't abandoned you. I'm just getting ready for school and doing some life changing before my school friends see me again.

I have a few new peices of art to put up, but they aren't done yet. Don't worry, though, I will get new art up soon :]

In case you're wondering, I had a great time, but I am insanely homesick (even though I've been home for a day). I'm really in a daze right now, because everything around me is different, and I feel somewhat detached. I'm sure that once I'm home for a while, I'll feel like things are back to normal. For now, however, please forgive me if I get a tad clingy, I'm trying to get life back to normal and feel like I'm part of life again.

If you can make sense of that paragraph, I am impressed with your skills.

Anyway, there's not much new going on in my life as far as events go. School is starting soon, and I'll be a SENIOR

I've already decided where I want to go to college, and I will be applying... as soon as I take the SAT in October.

Today (7/20) I have a family reunion. July 21 - 25, I'm going to Bible camp with my church. July 26 - August 2 (or 3, I can't remember...) I'll be on family vacation. Then I'll be home for four days, and then it's off to a resort for another vacation! Then, the week after that is training for my school's mentor program, and my birthday party!

As you can see, I'm going to be VERY busy, but at least I should have some time to get some drawing done, so I can flood your inboxes with art when I get back >:] muahahahahahahaha

Anyway, in case you guys care, here's an update on my life (because my life is oh so interesting XD):

Numero Uno:
My trouble in my house is gone <3 I had a person who we let move into my house, who I REALLY didn't get along with at all, but as of Sunday, I never have to see her again <3 She moved out two weeks ago, but Sunday was her grad party, so that was he last time I will be forced to see her.

Numero Dos:
Summer is finally here <3 Ok, so it's been here for two weeks or so already, but it's worth a mention in my journal that I am not in school.

Numero Tres:
My birthday is next Saturday - July 5th <3
I like presents <3 lol
Don't feel like you HAVE to do something for me, though!

Numero Quatro:
I might have another person moving into my house D: This time, it's my "brother." (He's not my REAL brother, but he goes to my church and I've known him FOREVER, he's become a big brother figure to me :]) He's probably moving in for the month of August. Hopefully, I'll get along better with him than I did with the other person who moved into my house from church...

I swear, my house has turned into a teenager help center... Everyone comes here when they need to get away / need a place to stay.

Numero Cinco:
Senior year is coming up, and it kinda just hit me that this is my last year in high school D: After this, I don't now if I'll ever see my friends again D: I hope I do, but I have no guarentee.
That's depressing, I love my friends <3
I guess I'll just have to make the most of this year and be sure that all my friends know just how much I care about them :]

Numero Seis:
Starting in about four weeks, I get to start doing stuff! First church camp, then the next week is vacation, and the week after that I'm going to a resort in Alexandria

Before I announce the winner, let me tell you how I judged this.
First, I went to [link] gave each of you a random number between 1 and 4. Then I went and picked a random number of numbers I would generate between 1 and 20, and I got 6. Then, I picked a number of times to generate numbers between 1 and 10 and got 6 aggain.
MEANING: I generated six lists of six numbers between one and four.

Then when I did that once, the totals were:
1 - most picked twice
2 and 4 - most picked three times
3 - most picked five times

I took the top three and generated numbers (2, 3, and 4) and I generated six more lists of six numbers between 2 and 4.

The results of that were:
2 - most picked five times
3 - most picked three times
4- most picked four times

Then I took the top two (2 and 4) and I generated 12 lists of six numbers between 1 and 2. 1 was representative of number 2 and 2 was representative of number 4. I ended up getting a cuple results with 2 and 4 being equal, and that ended in a tie, so I did another list of six numbers, breaking the tie.

The results of that were:
2 - most picked 7 times
4 - most picked 8 times

Ok, so it begins with Anna Marie Muller and Arvid Harms Kohler. If you can't tell by the names, they live in Germany, and their tale takes place around the time of WW2. Now, if you know me, you can probably guess that (of course) Anna and Arvid are going to be swing kids :] They meet at school, find out theat they both like swing... and well, you'll have to read the story to find out what happens to them :]

However, I need an antagonist for this story - and that's where I run into my problem. See, I have this idea in mind for a fairly attractive man of 18. He has bright, blue eyes, and blonde hair that almost looks white (think Draco Malfoy color). However adorable, this 18 year old, has a pretty bad temper, and he enoys causing others pain - he would gladly watch anyone that he arrested get sent to years of hard labor and watch them suffer... and most likely laugh at them... he's a cute little sadist (XD) Oh, and I forgot to mention, he's the main Nazi in my story, there ay be a few others... but I haven't come up with them yet...

I am having a hectic life right now, and I can't handle being contacted about a picture every time I log on for five minutes of relaxation!!

I hate to sound mean, or rude, but please, for my sanity, just stop contacting me about the same pictures!! I WILL GET TO THEM WHEN I HAVE TIME!

*deep breath*

That wasn't aimed to any one person, more so a general thing to a few people who 1. I owe pictures to, who I've forgotten about or 2. who won't let me forget I owe them pictures.

Anyway, what makes my life so hectic you might ask? Let me enlighten you.

1. SCHOOL! I actually go to school, people. That means classes and homework, meaning little computer time, and the time I DO get I'm generally working on something.

2. My Family. If you didn't know (which most of you don't), right after I passed my map gateway for European History (Thursday), I got a call from my dad. I had to get ready to leave right away. He came and picked my sister and I up from school and brought us home. We basically had ten minutes to get ready to go to Windom (three hours away) because my great-grandma was dying. We basically didn't know if she was going to make it until we got there. So my Thursday night was spent in a nursing home, just waiting until my great-grandma died. I got about 5 hours of sleep that night, and she died at 1:30 or so Friday morning. Then my Friday was spent going home from Windom, and catching up on sleep.

3. Work. I have a job, meaning less time on weekends to do pictures for people. I work six hours every Saturday, so I can't do much Friday nights because I work early Saturday mornings (I start at eight and end at two). Then, the remainder of my Saturdays are spent doing homework.

4. Church. Church hasn't happened yet this week, but every Sunday I spend doing the same thing. I get to church at 7:30 in the morning. I go to the 8:30 service (I set up powerpoint and help my dad with sound) then I got to Sunday school. After that, I head home, eat, and go back for choir practice. After choir, I have two extra homework hours, and then I go to discipleship class and evening service. That makes it 8:00 by the time I can even THINK about drawing, and most times, I am so wiped out that I just eat dinner, finish homework, and go to bed.

[edit://] 5. Random Stuff. I almost forgot... my best friend's brother (who is a brother to me) got a tumor in his leg. For a while, we didn't know what was going to happen to him. We almost thought he was going to have cancer. So, that has been stressful. Also, my sister's best friend almost killed herself because she OD'd. That was stressful on both my sister and I, because that girl almost lost her life. I would not be able to comfort my sister if her best friend took her own life at FIFTEEN YEARS OLD! So, I had to help my sister through that and tell her it was ok. However, what WASN'T ok was that my sister was/is hanging out with one of my guy friends who has hurt her in the past and will continue to do so... I want to slap him so hard his grandchildren will feel it, but she likes him!!! *rant rant* [://edit]

I don't mind drawing pictures for you, but they often get put on a back burner of my mind, and won't get finished for a while since I am already so busy running around all the time. Considering the fact that I haven't even mentioned Wednesday night church and my Accel Chem study group right after school Tuesday nights.

Please understand that my life is not ALL about drawing. I actually do other things, and I can't simply drop everything JUST to get a picture done for you! When I say ASAP, that doesn't mean I'm going to just drop everything and draw, it literally means as soon as I can find a spare minute to draw something that doesn't look like absolute crap.

So, unless you want a five second stick figure, please don't pm me every three days about one picture. If I promise you a picture, I will get it to you, but I won't gaurentee that I will get it to you in a day. I will TRY to get it to you within a week, but it may take a few weeks.

PLEASE be patient with me, I'm going as fast as I possibly can!!

*deep breath*

I'm sorry, that was a rant, but I really needed to get it off my chest. Also, like I said, THIS ISN'T AIMED TOWARD ANY ONE PERSON!!! Please, don't take this as a personal attack, because it isn't... this is just a GENERAL notice for ANYONE, not just one person.

I'm such a big fan that if I could, I'd go to the midnight showing dressed as Jack Skellington... unfortunately, I will be out of town D: BUT while I'm out of town we go to a movie theater at the convention I'm going to... so if I'm lucky, they'll show TNBC and I'll be able to go see it!!!!!!!!

Quick recap of life that's happened since my last entry -
I went to Missouri.
I did well on my APUSH tests.
School ended.
I went to El Salvador.
I turned sixteen!!
And I went to Lutsen.

However, I'd like to send Tigerstar to attack the lady who was in charge of my room... she was a meanie-face.

Also, I'm going to be gone in two weeks (over memorial day), 'cause I'll be in Missouri. Then, a few weeks later I'll be in El Salvador, and then a week or so after that, I'll be in Liutson (I butchered the spelling of that ^_^').

Oh, I have my AP final on Monday, so if you want to make me super happy you should make Mr. Moore absent on that day haha
