I once again got pneumonia on top of a broken rib,it cost me 10 days in the hospital. I'm doing much better though. I drove to WA. to get my youngest daughter and her 2yo and that was a nightmare!I shaved about an hour and a half on my total trip time just to get away from the screaming! But now I;m home and can't wait to see all the new art that you all have made! love ya see ya soon!

Well my friends whatI've dreaded has finally been put to a date.March 13 I head off to what will eventually be surguries on both my arms. 2 carpal tunnel and one nerve repair near my elbow.I'm sure the last one will be the most painful,but I am not the pain loving type, so none of them are being looked forward to. Saturday I was rolling up the 140 to Stephenson for my granddaughters 2nd birthday when I decided the traffic was too slow so I started passing the slower cars (legally of course). when I came upon 2 cars close together with my son-in-law in the lead I decided to pass them as well. The lead car was doing 75mph but in my infinite dumbness I decided to pass him anyway. So as I got in the passing lane I had reached the speed of 85mph,when before my very eyes was a CHP truck right in my path. I finished the lane change and knew I was dead meat. A first I had a glimmer of hope but that was quickly dashed by my daughter,she told me the truck flipped a bitch and was on it's way back. Well I pulled over and he asked me for the usual, license, registration,insurance card.Then he looked in the back of the van and saw 2 kids sharing the same seat belt and my 10yo grandson with no seat belt at all! Oh it gets better! I found my registration no problem, but my insurance card was no where to be found and the clincher was that my license had been expired since Nov.I knew I was in the deepest of shitholes I'd ever been in my life. Well the officer came back to the car with my ticket:

speeding-70mph
seat belt infraction
expired license

he cut the speeding ticket from 85mph to70mph,he only charged me with one seat belt infraction,and instead of towing my car for 30 days he let my daughter drive. As for the insurance he said he wasn't going to site me for that because I had enough on my plate and he felt sorry for me (his exact words). believe me I appreciated everything he did for me,he was a nice guy,now I must wait to see how much this is going to cost me (boo-hoo) My biggest shame was being called lead foot mama for the rest of the day.

well folks life has been good to me once again! grandbaby #9 arrived on the 14th of january weighing in at a whopping 7lbs 11oz. His name is Trevor Alan Tusing and he is soooo cute! They finally opted for a c-section cause his head got stuck chin up in the cervix,alas I didn't get to see him born,but I put the nursery in check real quick so I got first dibs on seeing him before anyone else.I am just so proud I could burst!!! LOL

I had been getting over pneumonia just before thanksgiving and now I think I'm having a relapse I feel simply awful. I started cooking Monday evening because I had 5 turkeys, 3 hams, 9 pies, homemade mashed potatoes, 3 dozen deviled eggs, 4 pans of home made stuffing and a timetable. the smoke woke me up about 12:30 Tuesday morning and very likely saved my life.I went to bed without my oxygen and i woke up unable to breathe i managed to open some windows and went outside and yacked. afterwords i shut down the turkey and chalked it up to a loss. i was mad because I'd never wasted a turkey in all my years of cooking, but i was thankful i didn't die from smoke inhalation so i took the loss in stride.there was enough of the turkey that i salvaged so that we made turkey salad so that fed the crew who came to help the next day.I was the happiest woman in America come thanksgiving day!All my family save 2 were here and it was a jovial time for us all. When my grand babies hugged me and called me meemaw I just cried. and to beat my sit down and eat record this year made me so proud.This year I took my girls shopping with me just so they could see just how much money I put into creating these meals for them and they actually apologized for the amount of money I had to spend and I used everything except about 17 cans of chicken broth.and 2 onions. Since it rained here we had the kids indoors and they actually did very well. Since this was my first holiday with my boyfriend in the home I wasn't sure if he could take it but he did very well.I was proud of him. I hope you all had as wonderful a thanksgiving as I did!!! talk to you real soon!

Sometimes I have days when I fight my PTSD with all my might other days I falter. Today has been one of those days.Another one of my daughters got married yesterday,but I feel no joy. I want to but I can't. I need to see a doctor but the company I work for is stonewalling the claim and I can't do anything to jump start them. I struggle every day in hopes that this will be the day, but I am losing hope and I am losing my grip on me.I want my life back.I need my life back.My children don't understand what is happening to me,my boyfriend is pulling away from me,and I feel like I am powerless to stop it.Sorry, I'm not trying to get a pity party going, I just needed to say some words.......

I am not a political person, but I believe in a woman's fundamental right to choose.I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 9(number 10 is due in Feb.) and I would trade none of them for anything.Abortion is not my personal choice, but I believe with all my heart that only the woman should have the right to make that choice for herself! I also firmly believe in birth control,safe sex,and abstinence as well.If we don't EDUCATE the assholes of the world, the ideas espoused by this idiot will take root.....I shudder to think what the world would be like with more than a few of these jerks running around!
