<sup>Roxas had decided he no longer liked Gongaga Trail when his last chocobo had been bitten by a plague-carrying Tonberry and had caused the simultaneous death of his entire party.

With a huff, he closed out of the game, glancing to the clock and realizing that his father had probably been home for over an hour. He leaned back in his chair, arms above his head in a stretch and shoulders popping loudly when he arched his back. Shaking himself to work out any kinks he'd gotten from hunching over the computer for the past two hours, Roxas stood up and padded out of his room.

"For the love of Hyne, Sinclaire, put the hooker back on the phone, she's more sober than you are." Roxas' face split into a grin when he saw Cloud's best friend, Zack, sitting on the couch with his legs propped on Cloud's thighs and making wild gesticulations as he spoke on his cell. He headed over to the couch to greet the SOLDIER when a black blur shot out from the kitchen and tripped him up. With a shriek, Roxas reached out madly to try and grab ahold of something as he fell backwards. His left hand clawed at the wall with his descent before the blond found himself staring at the ceiling with a pained grimace.

"Roxas?" Cloud peeked over the back of the couch, the muted television illuminating his amused expression as Roxas pushed himself into a sitting position. "You okay there, kid?" Roxas nodded, one hand clutching to the back of his head tenderly. He glanced around, noticing the empty dog bed in the corner of the room and a black tail disappearing around the couch.

"Is that a cat? If that's a cat, then where's Max?" Standing, Roxas headed over to the couch to try and find the hiding feline. Cloud nodded his head towards the hallway.

"Max is in the laundry room. It's not a cat." As he spoke, Cloud gave Zack's socked big toe an angry pinch, smacking the underside of the man's foot when it wiggled affectionately on Cloud's thigh while Zack continued to talk on the phone. Roxas gave both men an odd look, opting to sit down on the loveseat nearby as Cloud continued to flip through the channels until he settled on the TV Guide station. He leaned back into the cheap leather, rolling his shoulders.

"Dad home ye- what the FUCK?" He jerked his feet up, holding his legs to his chest as what he'd previously thought was a cat skittered across the wood floor after having stepped on his feet. "Is- is that an OTTER?" There was no mistaking the thick rudder of a tail and the sleek black form that was currently carrying what looked like Zack's cell phone in its mouth.

"Watch your mouth, and yes it is." Roxas turned to snap back at Cloud as Zack hung up and tossed Cloud's cell back to the blond. Cloud pocketed it into his uniform pants that he'd yet to change out of after a moment of fighting with Zack's feet. "What'd he say?" Zack leaned back, arms behind his head and tapping his toes together.

"Dunno, I couldn't understand what he was saying. Something about Rude, though. The hooker said we should call the humane society." Cloud pursed his lips, watching the otter take Zack's cell phone and start smacking it against the leg of the coffee table.

"I think that's for animals that weren't stolen from their homes because of a dare between two idiot ShinRa employees." Bewildered, Roxas watched the animal with a little less amusement than the two men, turning to his older brother.

"What do you mean, stolen? Does dad know?" The cell phone let out a sickening crack and the number eight rolled across the floor. I'm really sick. I've got such a bad cough that it gives me these horrid migraines, ones that hurt bad enough for me to start crying. The most recent deviation I did [DO IT LIVE], I really shouldn't have spent all day on. That's because I regressed in my sickness to a point where I was up all night coughing and trying not to cry because of the terrible headache it caused., but I wanted to contribute more to that club.

I've had to call out of work almost all week because of being sick.

As for any commissions I haven't finished: PLEASE NOTE ME. I lost all the commission archives that were on my old computer! I don't want to feel like I've stolen from you guys!

I'm sure there's a load of you wondering 'is Rooster still alive?'
The answer is 'sort of.'
My NEW LAPTOP broke (quite easily, I must say) so the fics I had started working on were lost, and all the other computers in the house no longer have my tablet program installed thanks to my jackass brother. I'm trying to get a second job because my beautiful partner in crime, Random Kyuubi ( ) has formally invited me to drive up to NC in May for Animazement and I really need the money, both for the con, and for healthy foods to help lose weight. I'll be cosplaying as Dino Cavallone and she will be Kyoya Hibari - both from the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn!


Anyway, I'm not really getting computer access at this moment in time, but I printed out what I have written of 'Untouched' (akurokureno), Inferno chapter 2, Clarity of Honor (ZackCloud) and the rewriting of Carmine Complex (akuroku).

Uhm. also printed out my secret Santa fics that I've been neglecting due to lack of time to work on them. -shot- Should I post them anyway, once they're finished?

I had a big ol' speech written in honor of the deceased Heath Ledger and his recent Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, but my internet browser shut down on me three times, so here's a bunch of pictures of Heath that I find myself fond of. Most of these are icons for LiveJournal and MSN, and many can be found on the Heath_Icons livejournal community.



I never really liked him the first time I watched BrokeBack Mountain, because I was younger and I didn't know a lot about movies. As I've gotten older, I'm able to look back on this and his other films and appreciate the effort he pitched for every single diverse role. I loved him as Jakob Grimm, and even more as the infamous Joker, even Patrick Verona has a place in my heart thanks to all of Heath's hard work.



I want to thank Johnny Depp, Colin Farrel and Jude Law for not only helping take up Heath's mantle in ‘The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus’, but also combining their earnings from the film to donate to Heath's little daughter, Matilda. Heath had died before he was able to rewrite his old will and add her into it, and these actors show how amazing and kind the human race can be.







I'm sorry you are no longer here to watch the world burn, Heath.

Sora quickly tore his enraptured eyes away from the colorful puppets flailing around his t.v. screen in Muppet Christmas Carol, spotting the very irked form of his best friend leaning his shoulder against the doorway, arms crossed. The brunet rolled over on his wrinkled comforter and clutched his giant Heartless plush to his chest, fixing a wide and beseeching gaze on Riku. "But it gets me really excited for Christmas!" he wheedled, gesturing intently to the televison plopped on his dresser and the small dvd player teetering precariously on the sliver of empty space left by the t.v.

Aquamarine eyes flickered briefly to the television screen, disinterested, before Riku pushed himself from the doorway with a snort. "Christmas is still a week away. And anyway, I don't see how singing puppets can put anyone in the 'Christmas spirit.' " The silver-haired boy flicked his hand to and fro in a 'get your ass over here' motion. "Now come on. As much as I'd hate to admit it, I need your help shopping for gifts." Riku couldn't keep a grimace from crossing his face as he spoke, like the very thought of buying things to put in a box and wrap up with paper was physically painful.

Sora let out a long and exaggerated sigh at Riku's perpetual holiday-season grumpiness, pushing himself into a sitting position and adjusting his red hoodie. He tossed his Heartless plush, the creature mascot of his favorite band with the same name, behind him, ignoring how it hit the wall and slid down pathetically onto his pillow. "There goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Grim," Sora muttered along with the song that was being performed on his movie as he shuffled toward the televison. "If they gave a prize for being mean, the winner would be him. "

Riku merely rolled his eyes as Sora switched the device off and followed him from the bedroom, treading down the hallway and emerging into the living room that was nearly blinding with the sheer amount of festive lights, sparkling ornaments, and Christmas cheer jammed into every square inch of it. The meticulously trimmed and decorated Christmas tree stood proudly as the centerpiece, or the "Poor fucking pine tree," as Riku was keen on calling it. "I don't see what's so hard about Christmas shopping, Ri. You just buy something the person wants, wrap it up, and put their name on it." Sora grumbled, padding over to the couch to grab his jacket from where it had been slung over the back and shrugging it onto his shoulders.

"It's not that simple," Riku argued as he slid on his own grey coat and fished his keys from the pocket of his jeans. "First off, what if it's not what the person wants? Or if they already got what you're giving them? And does nobody realize that Christmas is just a shallow consumer shopping spree?" The teen rounded the couch, glancing over his shoulder to see Sora fiddling with a bright red and green striped scarf, and approached the meticulously trimmed and decorated tree, plucking a candy cane hanging from its branches. The meticulously trimmed and decorated tree Sora had spent hour upons hours slaving over, wrapping each string of white lights and shiny garland just right, strategically placing each clump of tinsel so the cat couldn't eat it, hanging each bulb and ornament and candy cane just so.

The blue-eyed boy screeched, shooting around the couch with the intent of tackling his stupid, tree-wrecking scrooge of a best friend. First off, new Journal look is thanks to the links provided in FAQ #747: How do I change the style of my Journal? , (:.

To begin with, I've re-started working on commissions, as you can see. I got the computer back in my room, so I want to catch up as quickly as possible. I'll also be randomly choosing a few deviants to draw their original characters as Christmas presents.


I wanna thank *kh2kid for my 6 month subscription, I'm very very grateful for it, especially because I've been working a full time job now to save up for Christmas.

So I leaned back in my chair the other day and the back snapped off.

I came to the horrifying realization that I'm a bit of a fatass now.

OH WELLLLL.

I haven't been able to play much of Kingdom Hearts RE:CoM because Hades keeps kicking my ass and I don't feel like leveling up. -shot-
I also had this insatiable urge to play Animal Crossing, and now I wanna draw Axel, Demyx and Roxas as little people from that game. lololol -shot again-

H'aaaanyway. I'll be working on Inferno once I finish a few more commissions, or my mojo slaughters itself. (_{whichever comes first}

Zack watched his companion's head bob lifelessly to the movement of the truck, a forced smile plastered on his face. The blond's lips pursed just slightly, enough for Zack to lean back in the truck bed and sigh.

"I'm just kidding, I wouldn't do a thing like abandon you." Having said that, Zack flashed the comatose boy a smile, taking in a deep breath and inhaling the crisp autmn air as dust was kicked up under the vehicle's tires. They hit a rock of some sort and Cloud's head lolled to the side before his chin thudded back onto his chest. Zack hummed through his nose, glancing out to the scenery as it rushed by on their way to Midgar.

"We're friends, right?" He stretched out a leg, elbow resting on his other knee and flicking his hand up and down impatiently. They should have made it to Midgar already, they were taking far too long for the SOLDIER to be comfortable.

Zack returned his gaze to Cloud, trying once more to strike up conversation. "We're gonna open a business that does everything." Pausing, Zack watched his friend for any kind of reaction, disappointed to see the dull aqua gaze stuck on some unknown location near his shoes.

"Do you understand, Cloud?" He got no response. Shrugging once, Zack shifted when a stray rock slipped from somewhere and was stuck under his bottom, causing a mild prick of pain. He pushed himself to his knees, turning around and grasping to the roof of the truck, catching strands of the radio from the open windows.

After a moment of squinting at the outline of Midgar and listening to the gentle strands of an acoustic solo, Zack patted his hand on the roof. They would be passing between a pretty steep canyon in a moment, judging by the large and looming rock walls ahead of them.

"Hey pops, we're not there yet?" He grinned nonetheless, excitement coiling in his gut at the prospect of being back in a place that he'd always considered a safe haven, of sorts. Of course, the SOLDIER would have much preferred Gongaga over Midgar, but thanks to Cissnei, he'd been given a heads-up to avoid recapture.

The truck gave another groan as it rumbled over a pile of gravel. Zack laughed softly, calling out to the driver, "This piece of ju...nk..." He trailed off, violet eyes catching sight of a shadowed figure nested between two boulders, high up in the canyon. Realization striking, he cursed, stumbling back from the front of the truck and making a lunge for Cloud.

There was a loud clack as the bullet struck Zack's shoulder armor, bouncing off and grazing his cheek. Cloud shifted in his arms and Zack's heart leapt into his throat. He moved to block the blond from sight.

"Cloud, get out of here!" He barked, hoping that his friend would be able to comply as the driver swerved to avoid another gunshot. Cloud flopped uselessly onto his side from the movement, both of them tumbling to the floor of the truck's bed when the driver slammed on the breaks.

"Hey pops, don't worry about us! You just get out of here, alright!" Zack yelled out, gathering Cloud into his arms and dragging the comatose boy off of the vehicle. The driver made a frantic and seemingly apologetic wave to the two before he took off down the road. Hurrying, Zack helped Cloud hunker down under a protective rock awning, setting him there and giving the area a quick glance around.

He could see the figures of what looked like a good chunk of Shinra's army heading towards where they'd spotted the two refugees jumping off of the truck. With one knee in the dirt, Zack turned to stare down at Cloud's limp form, smiling affectionately and reaching a hand out to run it through blond spikes. He gripped to them for a moment, almost afraid to let go, before giving the teen's head a rough shake and patting it once.

He stood, staring down at Cloud and ignoring the sudden painful wrench that his heart gave at the sight of his closest friend, weak and unable to even do much more than basic motor functions like breathing and blinking. His resolve hardened, determination sinking in as he turned to the troops that had begun to gather in the road, searching for the two young men.

He caught Cloud's arm starting to rise from the corner of his vision, but knew that if he turned back, he'd be unable to leave the blond's side again. Instead, Zack stepped out into the blaring afternoon sunlight, walking straight for the troops that were swarming around the rocks just above the road.

The first one to spot him was a sniper that was on a small hill, his gun cocking and alerting the other infantrymen of the SOLDIER's approach. Zack's sensitive ears picked up the sound of hundreds of guns releasing their safety catches, all of them now aiming at the dark haired young man. I recently got a LiveJournal, where I'm going to be posting little snippets of stories that I'm working on. From AkuRoku, to a few paragraphs of Hero, and even an original story (Actually, its a fanfic that Roxas is writing in Inferno. It will be written separately and posted on fictionpress.net for my own amusement. )

ANYWAY! I need as many of you as possible to hop on over to [link] and take a peek at the stuff I have up and tell me what you think. That usually gives me a really smart kick in the pants and helps me write a whole heap more than I would without it.

Well, I was recommended a book by a very close friend of mine back at the beginning of the summer. I bought it and instantly fell in love. The name of the book is Hero, by Perry Moore.

Here is the official summary.
Thom Creed is used to being on his own. Even as a high school basketball star, he has to keep his distance because of his father. Hal Creed had once been one of the greatest and most beloved superheroes of The League-until the Wilson Towers incident. After that Thom's mother disappeared and his proud father became an outcast.

The last thing in the world Thom would ever want is to disappoint his father. So Thom keeps two secrets from him: First is that he's gay. The second is that he has the power to heal people. Initially, Thom had trouble controlling his powers. But with trail and error he improves, until he gets so good that he catches the attention of the League and is asked to join. Even though he knows it would kill his dad, Thom can't resist. When he joins the League, he meets a motley crew of other heroes, including tough-talking Scarlett, who has the power of fire from growing up near a nuclear power plant; Typhoid Larry, who makes everyone sick by touching them, but is actually a really sweet guy; and wise Ruth, who has the power to see the future. Together these unlikely heroes become friends and begin to uncover a plot to kill the superheroes. Along the way, Thom falls in love, and discovers the difficult truth about his parents' past.

Now, I know I'm working on commissions and generally stay in the Kingdom Hearts fandom, but be expecting a fanfic from this amazing book sometime in the future.

This book is fucking amazing. I spent an entire day -- without eating and only stopping for bathroom emergencies -- reading this breathtaking novel, and I believe that you guys should do the same.

I live in Florida, and I have lived in Florida ever since I was in the third grade, and I'll be turning 20 this coming March. When we lived in Indiana, we had a nice, big two story house and an acre of backyard, followed by a forest. We moved to Florida because my mom has SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. (Basically, you need sun every so often or else you get depressed) Right before I started the ninth grade, we moved from our nice little house in Bradenton because we began our financial decline.

In the past four years, we have moved five times to different houses, all because we couldn't afford the ones we were living in.

I lived in the Bradenton area until the beginning of June. We were offered a job by family for my mother, father, and older brother, so we moved to this cramped townhouse in a rundown urban area of Ft. Lauderdale. It was very stressful because I had left all of my friends and was stuck inside nearly 24/7 because the tenants next door were drug dealers, and the ones at the end of the complex were also such. I didn't care, myself, but my mom wouldn't let me leave the house.

A month ago, I came home from Metrocon to be told that we were moving out to Cooper City. I ended up throwing away over half of the things I owned because I was so tired of packing that I stopped caring.

Two weeks ago, my father nearly walked out on us to go back to Indiana by himself because the stress was so much.

I owe over $700 dollars to Manatee Glens mental hospital because of an incident that my mom refuses to pay for. She's also making me pay my own dental and credit card bills, and I don't even have a job because we haven't stayed in one place long enough for me to find and keep one. (At least, not since I lived in Bradenton)

Last week, my parents sprung on us that we would either move back to Bradenton, or to South Carolina.

On Monday, I found out we were moving to South Carolina. I just recently got home from the 12 hour trip. I like it, but I'm going to miss everyone. D:

So instead of spending all of my time unpacking, like I was, I now have to spend all day PACKING.

We're selling almost all of our furniture this time.

I'm not giving up on those commissions! The reason I was jumping from fanfic to fanfic was because I had so much stress that I couldn't even focus on one thing at a time.

Please, please, if you have commissioned me for something, NOTE ME. I need to make sure I have everyone's things in order. Note me with what you commissioned, whether you payed half, or none yet, and anything else you deem important. All art-oriented commissions will have to be put on the back burner until I get to SC because I'm not really allowed on the computer long enough to really get started on anyone's pictures. Most of the art-commissions I have sketched on paper, however.

I've asked for the help of my friend, Random Kyuubi, for the fic commissions. I've done this to make sure that I get things done.

Once commissions are done, I will be working on the next chapter of Best of You, and rewriting Carmine Complex.

I met with my best friend, Emma, who was cosplaying as a BearBee from Kyou Kara Maou (no picture. ): ) and my friend Anna, who cosplayed as Wuya. I ran into some friends, including Ai, who did a 'The World Ends With You' cosplay. ([link] ) Also, a Reno and his Rude friend .... they let me have some of their fruit drinks. ([link] )

I ended up not staying for very long because I got my first of many migraines to come that weekend. I don't know why the headaches were so prominent, probably from my wig or the goggles or the sheer MULTITUDE OF PEOPLE MOBBING ME.

I had a LOT of folks coming up and giving me a hug and saying "Do you remember me? I was so and so last year." I honestly felt terrible because I have a very very bad memory, and I don't wear my glasses to coventions, so I couldn't see very well enough to remember details.

Near the end of Friday, I had to skitter back to the hotel for some downtime so that my migraine would go away. Matt massaged my temples and I swear I nearly creamed my pants, it was sooooo nice. My migraine went away and I got some stuff for my friend Emma before she left (some yaoi and a Light and L plushie that I'd bought her at Megacon )

Friday night, when I came back to the con in my masquerade costume ( ), I ran into an anthro cosplayer that I had met the year before when she was cosplaying as Appa. She didn't recognize me and I had to tell her who I was, and she apparently didn't know I was a girl the entire time we hung out last year. @___@ ([link] )


I had a lot of fun at the Masquerade, I got to dance with both my Wuya ([link]) and with the guy I like, Matt (who's now my boyfriend. alsidjfaosf . [link] ) At one point, I started to get a migraine, so Matt walked out to sit outside of the masquerade with me. While we were out there, the Joker walked by and I nearly had a conniption fit because he looked so much like the ACTUAL Joker from The Dark Knight ([link])

After the Masquerade, we went back to the hotel, got changed, and walked about four blocks down to this plaza that had a Bennigans. (We meaning Myself, Matt, Jourdan, Kito, my friend Dith, Cynthia, and Vilma We ate, and it was around midnight or so when we finished. Aftr that, we realized that the plaza had a movie theatre, and after a quick discussion (which involved a lot of me yelling 'YOU HAVE NO SAY IN THIS!" ) we bought tickets to see The Dark Knight.

It was AMAZING. I can't even describe the utter euphoria I had while watching it. By the end of the movie, my left wrist actually stopped working because I held Matt's hand the entire time and was afraid to let go. xD Just because I didn't know if he'd hold it again should I shift around or something. When the movie ended, I pulled another 'You have no say in this!' and made sure that my entire group of friends sat until the very end of the credits so that, unlike Heath Ledger, we saw The Dark Knight to the end. (a bit of personal tribute. :/ )

Of course, Dith stayed with us that night, and while Jourdan and Cynthia went for that 'we're best friends, lets hang out and take a walk' thing that BEST FRIENDS DO, the most ANNOYING FUCKER KNOWN AS KITO KEPT STARING AT ME AND MATT WHEN WE WERE KISSING ON THE OTHER BED. D< D< D< D<

fucker knows how to ruin the only time I'd get with the guy I like.

Saturday I didn't cosplay, mostly because I was very uncomfortable with the fact that so many people recognized me and I didn't know them. (I think next year I'll bring a camera with me and take pictures with everyone so that I don't forget them. ) I went back to the hotel Saturday afternoon and took a power nap, we went out to eat, I think at one point, Matt fell asleep and I was watching Happy feet while certain someones had happy shower fun time. >_>

Walking back to the hotel earlier on Saturday, I ran across ~ForgottenLullaby, who was cosplaying as Ike from SSMB ([link] ) I kind of brain farted and never really got to give... ]]> =psychorooster
