I leave church at about 12:30, and get to my high school at 1:00. I hang around for a while and then go to get out my instrument to warm up on(another uses my instrument too, so I had to warm up early), and MY UNIFORM IS NOT THERE. I started to panic a little bit, until I realized that I probably left it at home after the Honors Band concert a few weeks ago. I tell my director that I didn't have my uniform, and he threatens to fail me if I didn't get it in the next 20 minutes.
I call my mom about 10 times, but she doesn't pick up. My friend Marshall's car was broken, and so was my friend Ashley's, so they couldn't give me a ride. By this point I was really starting to freak out. Then my friend Sean drives up, and he gives me a ride back to my house. But my mom isn't there, and I forgot my key. I go to the administrative office for my apartments, and it's closed. *insert scream here*
So we get back to the high school late, and I'm am in full panic mode. Then my sister came up to me and told me that our mom was coming with my uniform in a few minutes. Can anybody saw sigh of relief? XD But then I realize that I'm not wearing black socks, which you really need because the pants of our uniforms ride up a lot and show off my white, white ankles(lol). Panicking again. So I had to take off my uniform jacket, pull off my pant's suspenders(that's right, they have suspenders on them)and pull my pants down until you couldn't see my ankles anymore. Pure genius, I'm telling you. But the actual concert went really well.

And then I have this huge paper due tomorrow, but it's just the rough draft and it's worth 50 points! Ugh... I think that mine actually sounds pretty good, it's about how H. G. Well's War of the Worlds illustrates humanity's false security in it's dominion over Earth. And stuff.

Anywho, like the title says, I'm alive. Since marching band ended yesterday(and hopefully my computer will be fixed soon), I'll be talking to you guys a lot more, and maybe have some time to draw! :3 You'll probably see a lot of photos from me too, I'm trying my hand at photography.
Yesterday was state competitions for marching band, and we got a one(the highest rating)! I was actually a little surprised, my performance wasn't very good. It was really cold and windy, and those conditions aren't good for brass players. But now that it's all said and done, I have my life back from band. Until basketball season starts, at least. D:
Homework is still killing me, and my English teacher is a really hard grader! I was one of three people who got an 'A' on a final book review for our chosen book(I read 'Crime and Punishment', and loved it). I forgot my thesis statement, but she said that my paper was really well written so she was giving me an A anyway. *sweats* Close call there. History is still giving me problems with the work load, but with the extra time now that band is over, I can keep up with it. Hopefully.

I actually ran over a dead possum, and it POPPED. Seriously, the most disgusting sound that I have ever heard. My instructor said that there was probably a rib or two stuck in the tire now and that I was going to fix it. THEN, a freaking traffic cone rolled out in front of me. It wasn't a little one, it was one of the tall cylindrical ones. It ended up stuck under the guy in front of me's front wheels. D:

The instructor and I ended up talking about sweet corn and mystical wells in Vermont. Go figure.

Band camp is next week, so won't be on much, if at all. I'm working on the art that I have to do for the fair, and then for all of you who I owe art to. :3

the 4th of July went well, I had a cookout with my family and saw fireworks with a bunch of my friends. They were a lot shorter than usual, so that was a little bit of a let down... But they were still awesome! Who doesn't like colorful explosions, really?

To those of you that I owe art to, it might be awhile. I still can't scan anything, and Photoshop seems to have disappeared. Sorry...

On another note, I need to start my summer work for AP History... It's a really big packet, but most of it is reading, so it's not that bad.

This semi truck carrying a full tankard of oil took a turn too fast(one right next to my house, the same place as a fatal wreck two years ago), and as far as we could tell, flipped his truck over a few times, and then sent the whole thing into the river. I think that half of my town was down there, we got some really good(?) pictures with my friend's camera. They had just pulled the trailer out of the river when we got there, I think that all of the diesel spilled into it. They were still pulling chunks out when we left an hour later. No word on the driver yet.

THEN, we left for home(it was almost 9 o' clock by then) only to find that we had a flat tire! My mom had just gotten a new set like, a few weeks earlier! So my friend, sister and I went to a store, got some 'Fix a Flat', fixed the tire, and then drove his car(my mom was driving hers) to the auto-shop and left it there to get fixed. We went back to our house in my friend's car.

But yeah, I went driving today! :3 I got my permit yesterday, and went to an empty church parking lot yesterday too. Today was a nature-preserve. Unfortunately, my sister made me back out on an incline, and then I got stuck behind the tour-tractor, I ended up following the thing for half a mile on a steep incline going an ASTOUNDING 2 mph. T.T Really. Then I almost got rear-ended by dome hillbilly.

Really, sorry that I haven't put up a journal in almost 2 months. I would like to say that I was busy, but I haven't really been busy since school ended, with the exception of driver's school. I passed all of my exams, got a really good GPA(a 3.795, not the best that I can do, but hey.), and I'm waiting for my new music for marching band. I would like to scan some art and put it up, but my scanner's not working right now, so that'll have to wait. I've actually gotten some writing done on both of my stories, and a lot of good research on my sci-fi 'Dos Vadanya'. :3 Tell me how you guys are doing though!!

On another note... Sorry haven't put up a journal in SOOO long... I've been lazy/busy. Lots of projects to do, I have three right now. One HUGE research project for History and English that's worth like, half my grade, another in History that's an A to Z picture book of Human Intolerance(seriously, and we can't even use WWII), and another big one in Spanish about Zaragoza. I don't even think that they speak the same kind of Spanish that I know in Zaragoza! And I have to talk about it for 3 minutes en espanol! *dies* So much homework...

It's been really hot recently too, I'd like to actually have a little bit of Spring, not just Winter to Summer. Argh...

But yeah, I totally didn't fail at my solo! I sounded pretty good, WAY better than one of the other bands that played it. Their baritone started of really quietly, and then stopped halfway through, didn't use any breath support, and then missed a bunch of accidentals. FOR SHAME.

I had to host two bands with my sister yesterday, that means that you lead them around campus and show them where to go to warm up, play, and then do sight reading. The second band's director was really rude, he locked us out in the hallway for an hour, and then when we were supposed to get them halfway across campus, he said he didn't need us. By that time, it was really dark and cold. They got lost. XD But I had to stay at school yesterday for 16 freaking hours. I am never staying there that long ever again. Blah. 7 in the morning for school, and then leave at 11:15 at night... Never again. I got the freaking flu because of it! *sniffs*

Anywho, I've been doing pretty well lately. Although, my stupid knees have been acting up(I'm a teenager, what's up with that?), so that's kinda... Bad. I've been trying to get work done of my story, and I also have a new idea for another one! It's pretty much about an adorable Russian 'malchik gay' who has the power to control the natural frequency of any object. That means that you can blow it up. XD No touching the idea, © me!!1! XD And I've been meaning to get some art up, but I've been busy. I need to edit two pictures, then I'll put them up. I took school off today for a 'mental health' day. Just needed to sleep a little more. Next week is OGT week, which means that I get to go into school at 10:00 all week! Yay! I have SO many different research projects going on right now, it's insane! At least for 3 classes! At least not in Spanish though, I had to do one of those earlier this year. It was a pain, I had to look up so much stuff...

School right now is insane, I have so many projects due! We are finishing up To Kill a Mockingbird in English, and I have an ENORMOUS project with that, I'm making a movie. I got to be Jem, which entailed me trying and successfully getting all of my hair up under a fedora... My hair comes down past my waist, it was quite a feat! We got a lot of the filming done, now we have to edit it.. Also, I have this HUGE project about basically anything WWII related(OMG, my specialty!), but it's a large chunk of not only my English grade, but also my History as well. Ugh. Anyway, I'm thinking about doing Nazis and the Occult. Hitler was obsessed with finding the Holy Grail and other artifacts like that, so it would be an interesting topic. *shrugs* AND... on top of that we're starting another book in English! I think it's A Tale of Two Cities...Oh so busy. Plus I have Stage Band this week, and Art Club... And I want to do some art. *sighs* I need more sleep. XD

By the way, Saturday school(making up for snow days) SUCKS. Seriously. I'm still a little bit sick... *coughs*

No school today, more insane wind last night, up to 70 MPH. It blew furniture off of my porch. 0.0 That makes 3 days that we have to make up for school now... Three Saturdays that I have school now. Blegh.

I actually got around to typing out the profiles for my story. They were just sitting in my art binder, taking up space, so I decided to type them. A have a LOT of characters, no kidding. I have no clue how many pages it's gonna be when I print it out. D:And I'm still adding characters, they're mostly based off of my school friends. I had no idea how school friends I have, it's a little surprising. More or less, my friend-group is a mix of band geeks, misunderstood nerds, yaoi fangirls, and fellow artists. Yeah...

Anywho, I actually have some time for personal art, now that I've gotten all of the contests and requests that I was obligated to do done. Now what shall I draw... Blah, I'm catching the cold that EVERYONE has... Half of the symphonic band has been infected.

He's going to have to re-teach us everything that she taught us... She was using Calculus-speak! We had no clue what she was talking about... I kinda BS-ed the homework as best I could. I tried to get the correct answer, but I didn't know if I was right... Not like it was in the book or anything. ^__^;

More or less, it was about a bunch of Russian Jews who escaped into the forest and began a new life there, but were willing to fight to keep themselves alive.

There were so many explosions, and lots of blood(mostly Nazi blood spraying EVERYWHERE...) but it was also very cute at some points. :3 A couple of the characters got married, and they were so sweet together! And they used the only Russian word that I know about a million times! XD (Aka, it's tovarish, which means friend/partner/comarade)

And most importantly, it ended happily! Almost all of the people survived! Valkerie sure didn't, I almost cried at the end of that one, but this one was good! One of the best movies that I've seen in ages!

And last today was geometry. Oh how I loathe thee. I still have the sub, and she was no help! I need to get a 74 on it to get a B on my semester grade... But she said that so far the highest grade on the first half of the test was a 72... And that's bad for me.
Spanish and history are up tomorrow, but they're both easy.

In other news... Two of the four band directors in the district are being cut! That sucks, because I love all of them! Why can't they cut something useless, like football?! They never win, so what's the point in funding them and cutting us, eh?I swear, if they cut Mr. D, I'll become a bandless emo.

I've finally gotten a new obsession! It's a comic called Hetalia! Basically, a bunch of characters are named after countries and behave like the ones that they are made to represent! I'm doing some fanart of England and America(I love them!), so you'll probably be seeing that in the next few days. I'm thinking of submitting it to the school literature/art book, I'd love it if I made it into it! :3

My Christmas went very well, I got some lovely gifts! I used a gift card to an art store to buy myself a very nice set of dip pens, I've wanted to try them out for a while. Maybe I'll get back into inking things, who knows? Anyway, I got 7 nibs and three colors of ink, crimson, van dyke brown, and black. Browns can be very useful for lineart if you want the picture to be very neutral, so I'm excited to see what I can do with them!

I played Jingle Bells at my church on Sunday, I had fun with that. Then I went over to my friend's house and played Guitar Hero World Tour with her, my sister, and two other friends for the next six hours... XD We had a lot of fun. Then another friend came over to my house to let me proof-read a project for English... That reminds me, I need to get a move on for that myself... Writing for Telemachus's point of view from the Oddysey... That's gonna be a lot of fun...And of course it has to be a PERSUASIVE letter for goodness sake! Oh well, I'll quite rambling now. The wind outside is scaring me a bit... DX

I've been playing GH World Tour all day, because it was the bulk of my gift. Had a very nice meal at Red Lobster(Lobster pizza anyone?) and then my friend Marshall came over and gave us(me and my sister) tennis rackets! My apartment complex has tennis courts, and we've been throwing around the idea of taking up tennis this summer, and now we can! Yaaay!

I might be putting up some art this week, if I draw any. I will try darn hard to get any trades worked on, remind me if I have been forgetting anyone's. Because I forget things. A lot.

Had two brass choir gigs... I had to dress up, except under mu dress pants and shirt I was wearing freaking SNOW BOOTS, even though it wasn't snowing! My history and english teachers were laughing at me, I looked ridiculous. I hope it does snow tonight though, no school perhaps? Anyway, we played at one senior community(I liked it, the people living there were really nice, very easy to talk to.), and a nursing home. I didn't like the latter as much, it was a bit depressing... :C So many sick people... My section leader's mom works there, and we got a really nice meal, so that was cool. ^__^

Had to clean. Friday night was a basketball game, this one went a lot faster than the first, plus with more perverted humor. Actually, this couple were actually having oral sex in the balcony of the gym(some clarinets saw it) and the girl... uh... bit the guy, and he put her in a headlock and started punching her in the face. Knocked out a few teeth, I heard. 0.0 A couple of squads showed up, along with the police. *sigh* Another day at my high school.
Sunday was the winter band concert. My grandma and uncle came out to see it, so I was happy. My sis and I were in 3 of the 5 bands performing, and it was HOT in the auditorium! Imagine, you've been playing your instrument for 45 minutes(that in itself is enough to make you sweat) with the full black WOOL uniform on. In front of a crap load of lights. Did I mention that I had all of my other clothes on underneath? I almost died. My assistant band director threatened to poke my eyes out if I missed a certain note in one of the brass choir songs. I was a little afraid.
My main director dances when he conducts, I noticed that. It's funny. XD
And OH MAN, I am sick as all heck! My friend Ashley has the stomach flu, and I got it. Still went to school. Doubtful that there's going to be school tomorrow, we're expected to get 3 inches of snow plus freezing rain.

Didn't have time to got back before the basketball game, so I had to stand in the gym for entire time in dress shoes, black pants, and a long-sleeved black shirt. It got freaking hot in there, especially because we were playing. I didn't go to church this morning, I just couldn't wake up. I had to be at the high school at 7 yesterday morning, and the basketball game ended at 10 at night. The other tem was almost an hour late due to the conditions of the roads. (2 1/2 inches of snow fell yesterday, it was SO cold.)

I feel a bit out of place, they're all REALLY good. At least my instrument plays well...
Wish me luck guys, I'm gonna have a busy weekend, because I also have a gig with brass choir tonight, and then a basketball game for pep band right after Honors band tomorrow. Don't expect me to be online at all until Sunday.

We all got to dress up in our Halloween costumes and march in them, which was a bit difficult in my case. I had my cosplay on, minus the boots. (Those would kill me.) It was windy, rainy, and eventually started to sleet. We had to go inside because it was so cold.
Thursday's practice was painful in many ways. Physically, I pulled every muscle that I knew existed, and then some I didn't know I had. Like some in my back. My knee hasn't bent correctly since then, to make a point. We did get a lot cleaned though.
Friday at school was eventful, added to by the fact that we got to come to school at 10:00 every day last week because of graduation tests for the juniors and seniors. Some idiot sent itching powder to my band director in an envelope that contained only history notes that were racist considering Mr. D is Italian. He started itching, and no one was actually sure what the powder was, and words like 'anthrax' were being passed around. They had to quarantine the entire music building for two hours, and decontaminate everyone in the drumline, plus all of the music directors, the secretary, and my poor section leader Sean. They had to be stripped naked in the middle of the parking lot and sprayed down by older men who they had never met before, including the girls. My friend Shelby is still traumatized. Sean has no shoes left either. They wouldn't let anyone out of the other buildings, and my sister, my friend Ashley and I had to find an alternate route out of the school to reach my mom. *sighs* It was madness.
ANYWAY... Then we went to my church to meet my Youth leader to leave for the AMAZING two day Christian rock concert. Everyone was still worried for their friends who were still stuck at school. People thought that their instruments were going to have to be burned/melted. 0.0
We left for Cleveland, a three hour drive. The cityscape is really beautiful at night! All of the bridges and lights... Then we saw all of the "trick-or-treaters". *shudders* Gay pirates anyone?
The music was basically the same as last year, but just as powerful. The preaching was great, and one of my friends got Saved! *happyhappyhappy*
We got back at 2 am Sunday, just enough time to get some sleep before leaving for State Finals! The whole band ate at a Hometown buffet, the macaroni tasted of chemicals. Blegh. We were the last band to go and a band that went two slots before us had the exact same show. XD The strange thing was, I wasn't nervous in the slightest. I just don't have any nerves about ANYTHING any more. Not that it bothers me. I played the best show that I ever had, partially because it was warmer than it had been in weeks. Thank God. XD After our show, they gave out out score, and we got straight ones! *screams in ultimate happiness* After all of the drama that we went through this season, we could have created a made-for TV movie. But we freaking prevailed! Yeah! And the thing is... The last director that had been there for 28 years... He hadn't gotten straight ones at a competition in over 10 years, let alone at State.
Needless to say, I didn't go to school yesterday, I probably would have collapsed from exhaustion, we got back at midnight. I didn't have school today either, cuz it's election day. GO OBAMA!!

Last night was the last football game of the season, and it SUCKED. Why? Because the sky opened up right after school let out and didn't stop until midnight. It was like a torrential down-pour, I swear! We were in full uniform, and raincoats the entire time. My gloves soaked through and made my fingers pruney, but I didn't want to take them off because of how cold and windy it was. We played our show without any woodwinds and we didn't march because the grass was wet and we would have fallen. I went out to eat with three of my best friends and my sister afterwards, but I think I'm coming down with something. Like a cold. But oh well.

On a lighter point, I got my grade card! I got an A+ in symphonic band, an A+ in Spanish 2, an A in enriched English, an A in enriched History, a A- in enriched science, and a B+ in enriched geometry. Mind you, I'm in geometry as a freshman and in all enriched classes, plus 8 hours of marching band practice a week not counting competitions and games, so I'd say that that's pretty good, right? It'll be better next nine weeks, because band will be over in about a week. *cries*

I really hope that we do well at state, and that the levy for my school system passes. The latter is out of my hands, so all I can do is hope that people choose to support us unlike in previous years.

Everything went well, and the band I hosted with my sister and friend Ashley was really nice! Their field commander talked to us in line at the concession booth. I did get pretty sick towards the end of it, but hey, what do you expect after standing out in the cold for 10 hours in wind?
Our performance went very well as well, we got straight 1s in the band and the colorguard(the people with flags)for the first time in over ten years!! I mean, we have gone to state competitions every year for the last 29 years, but this is an accomplishment! My director has to shave his head because of it. He's gonna look strange without it. Poor guy.
Anyway, if you guys need to remind me of anything that I forgot due to my busy schedule or just to talk, comment on this journal. :3

Homecoming was fun, although being a member of the band was just as depressing as it is every other week due to the crushing loss of out football team. Then again, they've only won one game... The dance on Saturday was amazing, I went with my friend Sebastian. He got me a corsage. 0//0 My friend Jennifer did my hair and make-up, and I have to say, I looked fairly nice. All they played was rap, which kinda sucked. Oh well, I can dance to just about anything. And I did. XD
Last week's competition we did well at, we got third place again. We missed getting second place by 0.02 points! How close is that?! We actually improved a lot in two weeks, we went from a 233.3 to a 255.5. That's a lot in marching band terms.
This week we are hosting our own competition, so if you people who go to school with me read this, please go! We need the money. Badly. In fact, we might not even have a program next year if the voters shoot down our school levy again. They've already cut most of the art and foreign language classes, so now they're moving on to music. But seriously, why should they cut our program if we're the one's who have gone to state competitions 29 YEARS IN A ROW, and our football team absolutely sucks. Makes no sense. I really hope that the levy doesn't fail, because they're gonna fire my director and assistant director is it fails. :C So I'm kinda depressed about that.

As in, back when rap had some form of musical value.
After the first competition, they let us loose in a local mall with 2 hours to do whatever the heck we wanted. Most of my friends and I got Japanese food(they had pocky!), and then ran around aimlessly. Mind you, this is a really big mall. We went into 2 toy stores, 5 candy stores, the Hot Topic(my friend Ashley got a Death Note shirt), a movie/music store where most of the band seemed to be located(well, that and the toy stores, we don't know why that was) and a bookstore. When we were in said bookstore looking at manga, we turned around to see this full-shelf display of the book called 'Tickle His Pickle'. Needless to say, we ran/stumbles out of there laughing like idiots. It's kind of an inside joke now. Yeah.
We watched other bands at the 2nd competition, and I was too stupid to remember a jacket or long pants, so I'm siting in windy 40 degree weather in a t-shirt and shorts. *head/desk* We got 3rd place out of 7 AA bands(the best ranking) and 3rd out of the 11 bands that competed. The trophy was very shiny, everyone wanted to touch it. XD

Wednesday night we learned more of the drill for the third and final movement of our show this year... However, this includes a heck of a lot of 4 to 5 marching, which translates to taking 4 steps in 15 feet. We did not stretch that day. So, by the end of practice all of the muscles in my extreme upper calf were pulled like you couldn't imagine. It gets worse. Thursday night we run the sets with the 4 to 5 almost all night(three hours) with 'chug-and-runs' for water breaks. So no rest. Everyone was getting really testy, and there was quite a bit of swearing. Eventually, almost at the end of practice, I start going into hysterics from dehydration and general exhaustion, then I stop breathing all together. Then I started choking, and by this point in time my section leaders noticed and kinda helped drag me into the end zone, where all of my muscles froze up so that I couldn't move. I was sobbing by then(the first time in almost a year) from pain, and all I could do was make these sick gurgling/choking/screaming sounds that I didn't know a human could make. Yeah...
Yesterday was really fun though! I had library orientation at school, but it annoyed me a little when this kid from my Youth Group walked over and took the Big Book Of Fascism that I had been slowly bending down to get. It was quite a spectacle, really. The only reason I needed the book was because that's the kind of government my evil character runs. My knees wouldn't bend, so I took forever to get down onto the floor. XD
We had an hour long bus ride to where the football game was, and I sat with all of my band-homies. The game itself was good, because we actually won this one. I managed to march the entire show almost perfectly even with all of the pulled muscles, but it did tick me off a little when the student section started yelling profanity at us when we were marching off of the field. The other band's director was really cool, he said a lot of nice things to Mr. D. It rained practically the entire time, and we got really cool rain coats that made us all look like Sith lords. It was great. The bus ride back most people slept through, I almost did. It was a fairly hectic week, but it was SO worth it! Sorry this was so long...

ANYWAY... Nothing really eventful has happened in school so far, but band of course has been very much so. Like Thursday night, when about a million mosquitoes, flying ants, gnats, and cicadas attacked us all. No kidding, they made a thick white clouds around the lights. It was funny, because everyone broke ranks and started swatting at themselves. Usually we wouldn't do that, but having they flew under your eyelids, into your mouth, in your ears, up your noise, and... other places. They bit at every inch of exposed skin, and they did the same at last night's football game. Except this time we couldn't swat them off. We had to march down to the field with thousands of insects following us... One of them attached itself to the soft spot on my neck and stayed there the entire march down. Ouch. It was pretty sick when we actually got there, and it looked like the ground was moving from how many flying ants there were. They continued to attack us all night, and we had to make some interesting ways of getting them off each other.
Also, the visiting football team were being retards, and stayed on the field SO LONG that we didn't have enough time to march pre-game. We had to stand in front of the stands and play, but we did sound a lot better than last week. My band director was so angry at the opposing team...
When we did half-time, it started to rain really hard right in the middle, and it felt really good because it had been freakishly hot all day. We all got to leave early because it was lightening, so there was some craziness when we got back to the high school. XD I bought an adorable rubber ducky colored like a football. Yepah.

But the rest of the day was cool. I got to all of my classes alright. There was this exchange-student from Germany, and she was really nice! I thought it was kinda funny when I had to explain the theory behind waffle fries though... XD Hahhhh... Oh! And my base class in in the weight room. Yeahhh. It smells like butt in there.

Sunday night: I had to miss Youth Group, because band was 6 to 9. We practiced drill for the opening song, and also got our beanies. God I hated those things. The thing about them... they're incredibly absorbent. It rained Tuesday and Thursday, and they stayed wet for hours. Ick. Felt isn't exactly high fashion either. At least our director/assistant director wore them too, they're first year as well. *evil cackle*
We watched old videos of drum cores, which are like professional marching bands. There were many inappropriate jokes cracked.

Monday: After going to bed at 11 after marching for hours and then waking up at 6 isn't exactly the best thing for your sanity. But it got worse as the week went on. This was our schedule for Monday through Friday:
8 am-noon: warm ups/drill Note: It is very hot during this time of day, and also when most sunburns are made. You'll want sunglasses.
Noon-1 pm: lunch break This is your time to eat as much from the high-carb buffet as you want. Be careful though, you don't want to eat too much and barf later!
1 pm-4 pm: Sectionals/full band practice You get to go inside for this part of the day, thank god. There is usually some goofing around during this part of the day. But not too much, or Mr. D brings the smack down on you. XD
4 pm-6 pm: DINNER BREAK: One of the most beloved times of the day, and with good reason. You get to go home for two precious hours!
6 pm-9 pm: drill practice By this time of day, most people are starting to get tired and claim to be too sick to march. I'm not naming sections, but most of one of them were constantly sitting on the side lines. Once I really did get too sick to march, but that was because I was ready to barf and my knees/hands were shaking, not because my feet hurt. People did seriously injure themselves a couple of times though. You will probably do one set (marching from one area to another) at least 15 times in a row. Sometimes they make you sing. *shudders*
9 pm-11 pm: Evening activity I went to Sundays, (movie night) Mondays (Skating rink, this was really funny, my director has mad skating skillz. So does one of my section leaders. He can text and skate at the same time.) Tuesdays (talent show) was canceled because everyone was really tired. Wednesdays I skipped, it was a basketball game, I hate sports. Thurdays really sucked, we were supposed to go swimming, but the retarded pool people sent the life guards home early because of lightening. Fridays was awesome though, it was a dance, (more like a rave) and they played Sandstorm, Paralyzer, Crazy Train, and some Coldplay song that my friend group requested. It cleared the entire dance floor, it was great. XD They also played a crap load of rap.

Tuesday: It rained all morning, and we got completely soaked in the half hour that we were out on the field. Wet beanies. Grr. We ended up marching more then usual to make up for the morning, it just about killed all of us. I don't remember much else, other than the precious 6 hours of sleep invaded by half-delusional marching-related dreams. Although this was the day I got really sick.

Wednesday: My friend Shelby got hurt really badly while back marching. She sprained her ankle badly. Twice. She was in so much pain that she started hyperventilating, and ended up spending the rest of week on the sideline. I felt really bad for her. She learned how to use crutches really fast! I believe this was the day that Mr. Miller (the assistant director) told my section (the baritones/trombones) that we weren't ready to play, and that it was similar to pooping before you sat down on the toilet. 0.0 This is now an inside joke between the trombones/baritones, tubas, and trumpets. Yepah.

Thursday: By this point in time, there are 4 Mr. Millers running around. Three are related. One is not. But it does make things confusing. And guess what? THERE'S ANOTHER ONE. We just haven't met him yet. So we have Main Miller, Sub-Miller 1, Sub-Miller 2, and Drum Miller. We goofed around during music practice, because we needed to nominate people for different band positions. This was interesting because of the lunch-time campaigning. "You're voting for me, right?"
One of the field commanders, Derek, spends most of his time hanging around our section, which is cool because he helps us a lot. And he's just plain awesome. Anywaaay... Pre-camp is over, and that was 20 hours long over 5 days. XD Normal band camp is 10 hours a day for 6 days in a row... *dies* That's most of the week! Did you know that in Texas it's illegal to march for over 8 hours a week? Well, I don't live in Texas, so dangit, I'll be going for 60 hours two weeks from now! Yeah, we have to get to the high school at 8 in the morning, and then after band we have a special event that lasts until 11 at night. *dies again*

And THEN there's the fact that one of my best friends just insulted basically everything that I stand for out of the blue! She said, 'All kids in band are a bunch of egotistical, self-centered fatties.' and that 'The band sucks, you're just blind to that fact. I hate how it sounds, period.' Well, missy, what do you have to say to the fact that my cities' band has gone to state championship 28 years in a row and gotten the highest score EVERY TIME? Huh? And then the hoe went and insulted my religion for kicks. *fumes*
