What's one of the stupidest things you've done?
now that's a list! : D
i fail so hard all the time and now i can't remember anything. i fail again.
okay, the other day i put water (to make coffee) in a big pot. i then put the /big/ pot on a /small/ fire. it took me about 20 minutes to make coffee. i noticed it was taking too much time, but i did't do anything about it. oh and once i went to school to get something. very early in the morning. it took me too long to get there and i had to pay for the ride. then when i got there it was closed. becouse i didn't check office's working hours. i face-palmed all the way home.

1. i'm very picky when it comes to people. my standards are really high. and i expect alot from the ones that are my friends.
2. i usually talk pretty quietly, but when i get excited or upset over something i shout like a maniac. no matter where i am. it's not very pleasant for the one who's listening.
3. i'm kinda narcistic but when i get a compliment i blush and don't know how to react.
4. i don't like to show my emotions, so most of people think i don't even get emotional at all. but i'm actually very sensitive.
5. i can't live without my nailclipper. i get nervous.
6. my pets are fish, frog and a rat. yeah.

Bonus for me too >w<
7. it's very easy to make me laugh. but it's very and i mean VERY hard to make me feel good when i feel bad.
8. i hate the sun and my skin does too.
9. when i think about people and their feelings (my OCs mostly) i change my face the way they would. if you know what i mean
10. last: i tend to think about how it would be like if i/ or one of my friends died and how people would react to the news.

1.: i started taking my art seriously when i turned 15 (cca). before i just drew becouse it was fun and i found pictures pretty.

2.: i start hating or at least not-liking almost all of my pictures after a while. and from time to time i make a drawing that i never grow tired of. = 3

3.: i enjoy inking very much. a lot of the stuff i make stays in "lineart form" for ever or at least a very long time. i love to see other people color my linearts tho! (and i ink everything traditional style)

4.: i like to draw pictures that don't make any sense, characters in weird poses and clothes i make up. yeah, i live for designing their outfits. <3

5.: i frikkin love traditional media. it's mucho fun.

6.: the first thing i draw when drawing a person is the head- the circle+ the jaw. but when i draw them siting, i almost always start with drawing the legs first. anyway, i adore drawing bodies and hands. and crazy haircuts x3

7.: my mom shows a colection of my pictures to everybody she knows. she likes to brag alot more than i do

8.: i have 6 OCs. they are mostly the only thing i draw. i think i'll make some ref sheets or something for them too... *Saphrax and i are planning on making a comic about them and 5 of hers.

9.: i still don't have a tablet and this is a very sad fact.

10.: when i'm drawing, i'm always thinking about serious stuff, my inner demons, or relationships, or deep emotional shit. i go comfortably numb and make art like crazy C:

And the fact that so many artists have found a platform to dicuss and present their work to others?


Without a doubt it's a big, interesting and versatile community.
But isn't it amazing to always see the same artists on the frontpage every single day concerning the fact that so many new deviations have been submitted?

We're all aware of that and believe that this has to change. It is already quite difficult for the "unknown" artists to promote their work and gain more attention.

Clearly, we do not intend to deny the skills of those great artists who enrich the community by sharing their magnificent work. But we do intend to enhance the platform in such a way that "unknown" artists might get a real chance to draw the public attention to their own pieces of work by promoting it on the front page of the community.

In our opinion we think it unjust to only have the chance to be represented on the front page if one has the luck of having many watchers.

We would like a better system which allows a deviation to be seen on the front page if, for example, it has 'only' reached about 40 favourites and about 200 views.

Take a look at the actual situation: You have uploaded an impressive piece or art that gets faved according to the number of your total views/watchers. Then, however, a more popular deviant uploads a more or less 'average' deviation and automatically reaches more than the double of your favourites/views in a mere moment.

A new structure of the frontpage could enhance the actual competition on dA, i.e. popular deviants wouldn't be able to best the "unknown" artists by posting a rather average deviation.

A reasonable alternative to present the "daily top favourites" on the front page would be a bigger amount of thumbs which would show the 40 best deviations of the day in a random order.

We think it's in everyone's interest to change the current situation and make dA a place where creating and sharing unique art plays a far bigger role than scrambling for new watchers.
