This is a call out to any dog photographers!

I'm with the University of Guelph (one of the World leading institutions for pets nutrition and veterinary science and agriculture- they played a critical role in solving the pet food poisoning by China.

My team is making a poster on "Why do dogs bark"? It's target obedience is dog owners and tries to inform them about why dogs bark in terms of the genetics, it's development, the causes and function of barking. It also speak about how to prevent and deal with barking behaviour.

We're looking for a photograph of a barking dog. You will be fully accredited on the poster and may even get a special thanks (for example if you actually go out and take a picture specifically for us there will be a section of special thanks to you).

We don't need anything made specially for us, we just would like permission to use someone's photograph of a dog and hopefully with a blank background.

I've made a quick sketch layout of the poster and will send that to anyone who would be kind enough to help us out. The poster will have an electronic version and 3D version which I will be happy to send you upon completion.

If you know anyone you think would be willing to work with us please have them send me a note.

Anyway, I've put up my first poll. I'm working in a genetic group and we just did a report on hamster (golden or teddy bear hamster). Turns out they're 100% inbred, sick eh? They all originated from the same brother sister mating back in 1930. Took 8 years for them to be 100% inbred.

Anyway, we have a second project to do and we can't decide on what companion animal to look into. we need an animal that has breeders and pedigrees but DOESN'T have any genetic improvement program set up.

Any thoughts are more than welcome Please go see the poll and promote it elsewhere on DA the more people I get voting the better!

Btw, any animal really can be a companion/pet animal.

p.s. anyone who wants to learn about hamsters I wrote the paper on it and your more than welcome to have it. It's throughly researched and I made it public friendly. The only real science is in the results and I explained that all in the discussion section. I didn't do as well this semester as last but with Freddie and my Grandma dying just a month apart I had a lot on my mind. All my marks were above 80% anyway so it's not too bad. Hey,

I took summer courses this year. good call can't say i've ever gotten 100% on a mid-term until this summer XD

however i have to drop a course because between work and these courses well there isnt any time for sleep let alone anything else XD

man i'm TRYING to lose some poundage, and i had a frigin low blood sugar so i had to eat all this crap to bring my sugars up and man oh man do i feel like a pig now >.< every time i start to lose weight i have another low blood sugar. Not blaming the weight on that (it's totally my fault and the school stress) but man i'm NEVER gonna lose it this way.

i seriously am losing hope i was all happy when i dropped 6 pounds then all this low blood sugars stuff i almost had to go to the hospital at one point. *sigh*

i think i'll just have to balance my meal times out, which stinks i like having one big meal a day but oh well.

working on some art not much but some, well i drew a bunch of pictures of brains for my one course if anyone wants to see those XD

nice bloody hemorrhaging ones too muuuwwwhahahhaaaaaa

Okay. Last night my uncle died. Everyone is all I'm so sorry that sucks. They don't really think this mind you. Everyone just says that because they feel bad for someone else. It's no big deal. I only met him once maybe twice. He was on an oxygen tank when I did. He's happier i'm sure.

I'm the exact opposite. Yeah I'm depressed. That's all i'll say on that, anyone who knows my situation doesn't keep in touch with me anymore (least not here) so they won't see this so no point in putting anything more.

Now for my stress

I've STILL got mid-terms. one this monday which i have a good feeling i'm going to fail, i had a major project for another class due at the same time. then i have another mid-term the next monday. then a major eassy. after that i have to start studying for finals.

I'M ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!

Actually finals were as bad as I thought they were gonna be. Honestly, the 3 finals in 3 days wasn't fun but i did pretty well on the second one, not quite sure why, and the one i finished off with today wasn't too bad either.

my worst one, no surprisingly, was the last final in that 3 day stretch, by that time i hadn't slept for 4 days hadn't eaten next to anything and i was running out of adrenlyn to keep me going burnt out time.

the only one that i'm really worried about are the first and 3rd one but espically the first.

But anyway, I really did my very best this seimster I worked my ass off something firce and I know a good way to make my studying a bit better for next semister. but other than that I really did all that I possibly could, if i fail that biochem course then i'll grab me a tutor and try again. to be honest the course isn't that hard I just didn't relise they were gonna mark so hard on the mid term i only got a 50.5 >.< however i got 80's in everything else o-0 so it was just that one screw up that might do me in. life sucks sometimes huh?

Anyway i was in a grumpy mood and thought this was the perfect time to put something nasty up. Nasty and harsh but it's better to know than not.

anyway, just ignore my unhappiness it'll go away soon-hopefully just mid-terms and formal lab report and stuff due.

OMG school is SOOOOO brutal this year @_@
espically considering this year i'm trying to be a good student XD i should go back to being a slacker lol

I only have 4 courses this time too:

Genetics
BioChemistry
Into to cell biology
Horse management

they're allllll sosoooo hard

even that last one, thank god i'm a horse textbook and have only a slight edge on like 5 people in the course XD everyone else is a horse textbook like me lol!

it like the course tho we lean cool things >> but we're doing genetics now and it's a bit on the boring side. only because we went from social ecology (my FAVOURITE part of horses) to genetics XD

you just can't do that it's wrong! well going from social ecology to nutrition would be worse lol!

but i'm behind on genetics and biochem mostly because i was really really really ill for the first week and i got totally left behind >.< so i can't be long here i have to finish reading sections 1 and 2 of genetics and working on those problems. It's not so bad section 1 is basically review on highschool which is nice i did well in genetics in highschool.

and section 2 is short

then i gotta memorize the 20 amino acids structure (drawing them) and properties, however i've memorized 11 of 20 before i got sick so i'm okay in that aspect.

anywho I best be going before I get any further behind XD

finally made a sale and it was a BIG one ^.^
sold 6 volumes of slayers trywhich is totally awesome made good money off it ~_^

But everything has a beginning and an end... I want to go visit my friends cush and chuu bear in 3 years so i'm saving for those trips... i'd rather visit my bestey friends then get a subscription however pv thinks maybe i could get one for my b-day

i had to go to the doctors today because i hurt my foot so much and they told me what was wrong. thank-fully it was nothing to do with my diabetes.

Mommy and I are going to the romatic and sad Bolt castle on friday. I haven't been there since i was in grade school so i sugested that we go it should be fun.

Hopefully the heat will break cause right now it's hotter than in florida... i hate the heat it makes me feel so trapped XD i like the cold, well when it's mild but not freezing... ie when it snows.
not too cold just cool.

well i had fun with my subscription and must give chuu wonderfully numerous 's and 's for buying it for me ^.^

Not really much to say tho so just bare with me and my blabbering. I have a really good paying job now but I can’t wait to go back to school and meet some good friends who will actually stay my friends this time XD

Funny thing is, Anna is my best friend up there and we hung out the least but she was my fav, really down to earth and partied just the right amount too. If she could afford to live on campus and not at home I’d LOVE to have her as my roommate.

I’m hoping to get a really part-time job this time, maybe one or two shifts a week, (any shift will seem like jack-squat after these 12 hour shifts I’m on now XD )

HA! Look at that i filled those movie, book, thingyies all up, usually i don't have anything past mood lol

anyway...
Thgings at the horse barn aren't any better, they're worse...

they don't have exercise riders anymore so they're trying to make me pay 100 dollars a month to ride horses that need to be riden either way. and i have to come out once a week to feed.

I work shift and it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to commit one night to do this. and i'm a starving student i odn't have 100 to fork over a month.

i was told i can still stick with chippy because Lisa (his owner and my friend) have an argreement outside of her. but if he's being leased by one person already ( one horse can be leased by 2 people *cough*moneygrab*cough*)

so if she comes out then i've driven for 30 minutes for nothing.

I dont' know what i can do about it so i just have to deal i guess

I start work tomorrow... it's gonna be hell... 12 hour shifts and they're gonna yell at me cause i couldn't fill out those tax forms properly.
We get to sit in a room from 7:30am to 4pm listening to "saftey" stuff... joy. I do have to see the doctor of course, but it will be nice to be paid real cash the money is SOOO good... and the hours rock too, i get one week off one on.

i work monday, tuesday friday saturday sunday this week
then next week
wednesday thurday

then it starts over, pretty good if ya ask me ^^ and no nights.
well i'm off i gotta go to bed need to get up for 6am @_@

I hate it at home I really really do...
My head is pounding, i wake up in the morning with new scratches and bruises(small ones) with no idea where they come from
(yes this is more freak out than rant)

I've lost most of my spirit and will to do ANYTHING... my mom loves to tell me how ugly i am and how fat i am... i quote"your packing on the pouds"
it's an aweful feeling having no one... it's hard learning how to deal with this again...

mouse nested in my helmet over the winter and mold ate my saddle, so i need a new one, i'll have to talk to great uncel >,< just great...

girl at the barn told me the reason i don't deserve curticiey from the other people in my last barn is because i don't own my own horse... said it in a snotty way too...

(*sighs* i'm at school right now, and i couldn't afford a horse.


i'm poor and wihtout friend apart from the 3 animals in my life my dog and 2 horses...
and i don't even own the horses... it's aweful to be beaten most of your childhood, be told you have no one and are no one then realy have no one later one =_=


okay the feeling sorry for myself rant is over...(tho I don't feel much better at all -.-; )

OH MY GOSH!!! I PASSED ALL MY COURSES THIS SEMISTER!!! ANNNNND MY GPA WENT GET THIS...UP!!!

*saqueeeeeeeels* I can't believe it!! I'm NOT on accedemic probation! I used to be an honour roll student in sceiences and this year has been HELL on my self eestem. I used to get 80 and 85% average. I'm sitting at a 61% average this year.

it's been killing me! Do you know how much it hurts?! I've still got a chance to be a vet though! My marks are coming up, this is a VERY good thing. *nod nod*

PV is very happy that she comed up, and i only got one 50 the rest were pretty good. my damn physics went down (that's my best subject btw)
The reason for this was that they wouldn't let me write one of the quizes =.= i forgot abou the pretest and when i got in there they said "no way hoozay"

okay maybe they didn't say THAT XD but you get the point. Oh well. I passed and with more than a 50 which is all that matters.
i got two makrs in the 70's which is even better.

most of the other people there say that what i'm getting isn't so great, but I don't care, with the aweful slef eestem i've been getting lately, I think these marks are awesome! I'm proud of myself, I'm taking 5 courses all science each semister so I'm glad that i'm doing so well.
(well one course was calculus, but that actually worse XD )

okay that's all I wanted to say for now! buh bai!

I was just finishing up some studying for my Chem final on Thursday and my nose just started to GUSH! it's was horrible!!! within a second i have blood all over my mouth and chin i'm not kidding! even as a kid i never got a nose bleed so bad... it JUST stopped and it's 2:00am now... it started at 12 o clock... i feel so dizzy but i can't sleep until i've eaten something i lost a lot of blood...

i started coughing the back flow stuff up too =.= It was soo aweful...

i'm exhausted i came 1 minute from having to go to the hospital too...

least i woulda gotten an extension on the exam... *whimmpers*

*still has to wait a little while before she can go to bed -.-*

Wish my luck just one more final and i'm FREEEEEE!!!!

Update
Well i failed second semister chem so i'll have to retake it >.> dammit...

on another note i found out what happened to my nose... I had a blood vessel repture and that's where all the blood came spewing out from :/ oh joy.

I was just fidling around anyway, i doubt that i took down any favourites, just a lot of scraps and some finished works that were no longer desired.

Hey,
Only thing exceptional is that spring break in coming soon that just means I don't have to go to class, I have 3 mid-terms to study for though.

At least I’ll be home and not at school anymore. Valentines was the pits, went from bad to worse!
I made that bet for 50 dollars and I completely won it! He forgot... no he didn't forget he deliberately didn't do anything because he doesn't think he should have to do anything for me on Valentines Day to prove his love, yada yada. All I wanted was a simple e-mail saying happy Valentines Day, but that was too much to ask apparently. Oh well, such as life.

So I just have to write a physics quiz by Friday and I’m done for the week really.
HA fat chance! Turns out this is the hardiest stuff I’ve ever done in physics!! Oh joy!

I'm still working on chuu's b-day picture. Other than that, not really gonna post anything, maybe a few icons’ I’ve made but that's about it.

Hello everyone that read o.0

I'm feeling so much like I’m having one huge hang over right now and I don't drink o.0?

I'm just so tired and SO happy that winter break is next week! I had to write a calculus and Chemistry mid-term last week with only 24 hours separating them. I also was expected to attend all my classes which shortened the time span for studying even more!

I completely bombed the Chemistry needless to say. The stuff I knew I knew (1 long answer question: P) the stuff I didn't I guessed (pretty much the rest of the exam). The worst part of this exam was that it was place on get this SATURDAY MORNING!!

=.=; oi! I can understand a final on a Saturday but a mid-term?!

Hopefully I can range around a 40% on the mid-term, it's not a pass but it will pass me overall in the course, which is all I need to do, 50 in the course.

I have a water polo game at 10:15 the only nice thing about that is the hot tube and sauna(sp?) that comes after the viciousness of the game

Tomorrow is Valentines Day. HaPpY VaLeNtInEs to all my friends

But who wants to bet the significant other of mine completely forgets it?! 50 bucks I don't even get an e-mail
Mr. history my just be history cept I’m too tired to physically flame him let alone go all the way over there and beat him up. We'll see.

Sorry for lack of art, but I’m not really officially back I just put a few things up here and there, I don't really draw anymore at all. The newest art piece is that very delayed b-day present to chuu bear.

Chuu bear did such a wonderful thing I'm so surprised! I could literally NOT believe it when I got the e-mail! to death!!!


She bought me a subscription to DA for a month! I couldn't believe she would do that for me! We haven't been in contact nearly as much as we used to so it surprised me so much. And idiot me even forgot to make her a b-day pic! I'm in the process of making a super belated one

I had a black wavey skirt on. It was pretty goodn night. We got a picture a meal and there was of course a bar. I had a sex on the beach. I want to try a blue lagoon, but I really enjoy the drink "sex ont he beach"
When there's not too much alcohol in it.
I'm really not a big drinker I didn't even finish all my half a glass of Sex on the beach. To date I've only had in total one whole cup of alcoholic beverage.

Anyway I got to take home two red plastic shot glasses that say "the South Love Affair" in fancy writing. ^^

It was fun, we danced and stuff, but when I was going back to res, the bottom of my shoe came off (it was tied to my leg by the ribbon so I didn't completely lose it) and I stepped right in the ice and freezing cold with my bare foot. Instant frost bite >.<

It was -33 out last night. Brutal eh? I think it was -30 during formal night.

We went to a movie, Electra last night. I thought it was really good. I wasn't a big fan of Dare Devil because I just couldn't get into it or care what happened to the characters, but I was into this movie. First one in a long long time.

I wasn't so hot on the two girls kissing forever and a day (more the fact that it took 5 min rather than that they did it at all. Kissing in general is boring, i didn't even like the boring parts where she kissed the guy lol I'm weird I know)...
hehe but it was still a very wicked movie!
well...

It's suck when the peeps you think are the best in the world and clostest friends just up and forget you.

but it's worse when they only forget you but not the rest of your friends... and i'm not speaking in rl, i'm speaking da.

In other news I got through me first term at University in th Bachlor of Science course i'm in.
i failed calculus and now I have to repeat it, but at least i didn't fail completely horribly.


and I get to retake it with my friend so it's okay.

this term in nice cause i get an almost 3 day week end, i get off at 2:20pm on friday and don't have to go back until 1:30pm monday! yay!

i also only have to wake up early 2 days a week every other week and only one day a week every other week. so that's nice.

i like my schedule but i'm going to work hard and bring those marks up. okay that's enough from me. buh bai peoples.
