Do I recommend it? Yes. It was really quite good. Some plot holes, some cheesy bits, but overall really good, especially if you want to be truly scared. Or if you want to be scared of any imagery that reminds you of the video for a week or so afterward.

I didn't really enjoy it, I must admit, but it was still a really good movie, if that makes any sense. See it if you like scary things. Yesh. I musht leaf now. I musht leaf to do some chem homework. >; And mebbeh work on an art trade.

Uhm, I just finished a big essay that I was dreading writing and I think it turned out pretty good. I also finished a buttload of other homework. *dansu* Pynku is a happy girlie....also preparing for an art trade, and maybe some gift art.

I've been getting gift art ideas lately b/c of other people's cool characters. Like, I their characters and want to draw them, so I figure I might as well make the results gift art.

I feel like jumping on the bandwagon (hooray! cliches!) and starting to add a shout-out/plug list. I'm really lazy though...I everyone to death, o' course, but..*shrugs* me too lazy right now. o.O;; Maybe I'll just put up random plugs when I feel like it. Right now I don't.

A lot's happened since than, like homecoming, which was a lot of fun. We ate dinner at a nice steakhouse place, but we finished with like an hour to spare before the dance, so I got a crazy idea that we should all walk down to Target in our dresses and tuxes and look through the toy isles (just to scare people. my friends and I are weird like that) and uhm....we did...and people looked at us veeeery strangely. And...we got our dates to buy us things...and it was very nice of them for actually putting up with our crap, since we weren't -totally- serious about them having to buy us stuff. I got a stuffed kitty anyway, and some sour skittles. *smiiiile* Thanks, hadres-san! The actual dance was pretty fun...I took off my shoes because they were hurting my feet buy than, and danced around barefoot, which made me feet REALLY nasty by the end of the dance but that's OK. Afterwards, we went to Kimby's and watched Rocky Horror Picture Show and ate popcorn.

Uhm...and today...*shrugs* I am sick. I have been sick since Sunday, actually, but I decided to stay home to day to catch up on my rest *and* the homework I'm behind on. *stupid smile* I think I was actually a little worse yesterday than I am today, but shhh. Yesterday I felt like shit...I didn't get any sleep the night before, I was feverish all day, and was having *BAD* cramps, and was all stuffed up as well as having other physical problems. v.v;;;; I'm alive now though, and I actually got sleep last night so that's probably good. I also got more anime...2nd Betterman DVD (yaaay! I can see what happens next!) and the 1st boogiepop one. I havn't really gotten to see either yet. u.u;; I saw like 15 minutes of the first boogiepop episode (didn't really make much sense_ but that's it...oh well.

The evening after homecoming shopping, I went up with a bunch of friends to see Spirited Away--which I really highly recommend. It's surreal, and reminded me seriously of a less trippy, darker, and more...Japanese Alice in Wonderland. The music, as well as a lot of the imagery in that film, is truly beautiful...and it's very unique. Studio Ghibli makes stuff that's practically in a class of it's own...IMO

I need to draw Haku now. Seriously. He's so pretty...I mean, for a Studio Ghibli char, he's about as pretty as pretty can get, without being overly feminine. And his dragon form is really really really cool. o_o; So..I must draw him now.

I found out that it's too late to send in my angel pics for the next Animerica theme. The deadline is tommorrow. *large sweatdrop rolls down head* I really wanted to send those two pics in (Utena angel, Duo and Heero angels) and spent more time than usual on them. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to go for the next theme, which is "Too Cute!" I'd like to think I can do cute...most people can. And I've already got 3 ideas to work with...a pic of SD Duo and Heero in little bunny costumes, kissing; an Omi in overalls and his infamous Pink Hat, being overly kawaii as usual; and a pic filled with Puchuus and chibi Excel Saga chars hugging Puchuus and saying 'kawaii', because...It's an Excel Saga thing. *giggle*

Uhm, I saw The Adolescence of Utena, finally, and my God--it was absolutely stunning. Believe me, as far as art goes, it lives up to all the hype--it was, like I said, stunningly beautiful...the bishounen, the bishoujo, the color, the character designes, all incredible. Oh yeah, and the content wasn't bad either ^_-...although it was just barely comprehensible. Yeah, it's obviously a very metaphorical movie, and I actually began to interpret the metaphors in my own way, even if they wern't what the director/writer originally meant them to be. *nods* It's one of my favorite movies now. No, not just fave animes/fave anime movies, one of my fave *movie* movies of all time. x_x Wow...just, wow. It didn't really dissapoint, although I would've liked it to be longer, with just a little more character/relationship development that you could actually relate to instead of a series of metaphors and sequences that only vaguely made sense. LOL.

It inspired me to draw a piccy, tho...I'm doing two pics that I plan on sending in to Animerica for the next fan art theme, Angels--one of Duo and Heero as angels and one of Utena (with her tomboy haircut/Adolescence design) as a nude, anatomically incorrect angel. So, yesh. And I actually do have a bunch of new art I'm working on coloring right now and plan on posting soon....well, only 6 pics, but still...I ended up doing one of Hinoki and Lamia like I said I was going to in a previous journal entry. I havn't colored the pic yet, but I'm really proud of the lineart as of right now. *mumble* W00t. If not Strawberry Eggs, I'll probably end up drawing Hinoki or Lamia from Betterman because they're both sekushii. Lamia's sekushii-er, really. He's DAMNED beautiful. Ahh, the wonders of the Betterman...*ramble* I really liked both the series, high-quality stuff. Not quite favorite material, but definately worth watching and collecting.

I My Me! is absolutely adorable and pretty damned funny at times...and I think I want to draw Kuzo coz she is suuuuuuuuch a little cutie...I wanted to hug her throughout most of the show. o_o

Betterman had, apparently, a larger budget to work from than the average anime, and somewhat reminded me of Metropolis at times in how spiffity/complex the cinemetography (if I'm using the right word) was. I really enjoyed it--it was stylish and wonderfully creepy, and the overall look of the show kept me very interested, as well as the story and the fact that Lamia is very sekushii and I want to lick him. -^_^- Er, yeah. And the opening/closing credit songs are very good, probably my favorites out of all the anime I've seen---the opening is dream-like and beautiful, and the closing reminds me vaguely of Malice Mizer's stuff. I threw a fit when I couldn't find the songs on Kazaa. Hehe.

Er...methinks I need to go create fan art now. Well actually, something mildly eventful *did* happen this morning--I got an ultrasound on my abdomen. I've been having digestive issues, so I got my liver/gallbladder/kidneys/etc looked over with the ultrasound machine...it was really easy as far as medical tests go, easier than the blood draw they did when i got in(which was really easy in itself, although I didn't like watching the amount of blood they were taking out of my arm...it seemed like a lot...). I basically had to...uhm, take a lot of deep breaths and hold them for several seconds while the nice lady ran a thingy lubed up with ultrasound-gel-stuff all over my belly. The gel was probably the only bad thing about the whole experience because it was all sticky and got on the hem of my shirt. *grumble* Hopefully the results will come back as being totally normal. I'd like to avoid surgeries and furthur testing if possible...lol...

Uhm, I'm about to submit a bunch of my piccies, because I scanned in some of my fanart last night and edited it slightly to make it DA-ready. Yaay...expanding my gallery is good. *nods*
