Yes. I'm 24 now. Twenty four! Oh dear god, it seems like only yesterday I was running around high school in baggy jeans and a glow-in-the-dark alien-print shirt. Can you say, GEEK?

Say it with me now people. GEEK. G-E-E-K. Erm. Yea.

Sadly, apparently my body has decided it LIKES being 16 and refuses to age past that. It's so bad that whenever I go overseas, and go do stuff, I get charged the kid-fee.

I shit you not. At one point I went to a Gold Class theater, which, because they serve alcohol and stuff, only allow those aged 18+. I got stopped at the entrance. I showed my ID to the ticket seller. I get issued my ticket, and I hopped over to the lounge. And... I got asked to show my ID. Which I did. Then I get ushered inside, I ordered my food (Gold Class sundaes are GIFTS FROM GOD). I went up to the theater...

... and got asked for my ID.

I believe if it happened for the fourth time, I'm going to use my ID card and paper-cut them to death. Or something.

Well... b-day presents? Not happening! HAH. My parents have no clue what to give me, and I have no clue what to ask for, so they just passed me money. Yay for the monies!

I had a downer in the evening/night time though, so it's time to mess around with additional meds. Man, I hate pills ><

Hmmm... in other news... oh! We've taken our first step in our business! Well, not for my sister, as she runs another company, but it's MY first step! *dances*

Went to the courts to register for a business license and a business name. Gonna head over there again on Monday to finish things off. I am sublimely happy <3

I guess it was the milk, so I head into the kitchen and pour a glass to make sure.

Well. I've been posting this EVERYWHERE, and I'll continue to shamelessly do so because this art work is absolutely *stunning*.

Behold the amazingly talented artist, *ming85

A little project between me and this amazing artist in DA has been going on since last year. I'm plotting to write a short novel of sorts, with a specific four characters that the plot is based on.

Long story short, the usual 4 elemental Goddesses and their feline Guardians. But we wanted to give them a little twist. She, especially, wanted to add some different colours rather than sticking to the usual boring, say, dark brown for earth, and so on.

In her own words in one of our conversations;
"Earth has of course green and brownish tints, but as an extra the beige and white of flowers and birches in the background. Their shapes are very vertical, steady and calm. There is also a hint of purple-red/ dark red in the hair. Softly drifting in the wind are light brown/yellowish birch- leaves. It's an environment that looks 100% safe and comfortable. The light is soft and warm."

We spent a LOT of time exchanging ideas and design thoughts. I produced snippits of the Goddesses' roles as well as their Guardians, and she derived *brilliant* design ideas from them.

Now she's completed the first of the four.

And my response? OOO. EMM. GEE!

And yes, I'm still on my trip Well, the second half of it anyway. I was in Beijing for about 9 days. Brilliant, brilliant fun.

The culture and environment there is so much different than back home. But when we touched down onto the tarmac, then went to the embassy (we were staying with my granduncle. Nuff said it just felt so comfortable. So much so that I'd go as far as to call it my second home despite the fact it's my first visit there.

Oh, but man. Practically everything is the polar opposite of Brunei, so I have no idea why it felt like that.

And oh, the stories I can tell you. I'd probably run out of battery on this laptop of mine trying to tell y'all everything that happened.

But that said, one of the major highlights of the trip was when I was checking out these two guys cycling on the street. The first guy was cute, and I smiled at him. He smiled back, and then... BAM! His friend crashed into him and the two of them ended up in a tangled mess on the road XD

Heee XD Life doesn't really get any better than that.

So. My friend was telling me. She was going through the local paper, and there on the opinions page was this letter from a UBD (University of Brunei Darussalam) student. S/He was complaining about how "unfair" it is that the government was late with their student allowance. Whining about how they're not able to pay off their monthly car loans and computer loans and mobile loans.

...

DUDE. You guys are FREAKIN' 18! What the HELL are you doing with CAR LOANS? I can totally understand computer loans, but CAR LOANS? And don't think you can hide behind the mobile loans. I *know* the culture. Everyone's got at least two mobile phones, with models less than a year old.

Y'all should count yourself lucky that we actually HAVE allowances! $350 per month, no strings attached!

She's extremely arrogant and possessive, and despite her petite size she carries herself with an authority that comes from being raised by one of the major powers in the land.

Depending on the situation; when she's deadly serious, her voice goes low and throaty. But when she's with her step-brother, or around people she's comfortable with, she speaks in a clear, ringing tone, almost musical.

Precise, and eloquent. She does not believe in cursing; she lets her death runes do that XD

She has shoulder-length black hair, with two silver bangs hanging at the sides of her face.

Nope

Just in her talking - she refuses to use swear words, preferring instead to use sarcastic barbs.

That she isn't actually a necromancer. As such, to wield their magic, she has to resort to using hand motions and incantations.

Not very. She tends to move rather quietly or not at all.

Nope.

17. Are their gestures complete or imcomplete, vigorous or weak, compulsive or controlled?
When talking to others, she gestures absently. When casting spells, her movements become very precise.

18. Does s/he like their walk?
Not really. Being petite, she has adapted to a sort of hopping stride whenever she walks with her step-brother, seeing as how he is over 6 feet tall.

Quietly, and ridged.

Either with her arms crossed, or one hand on her hip.

Nope.

Smooth, but her temper is volatile. However, the angrier she gets, the more deliberate her actions and speech becomes.

She prefers to don a short tunic and light pants, with calf-skinned boots. Her most treasured piece of clothing is her spidersilk cape; almost impossibly light, yet incredibly warm. Useful for the raging winter storms that Valhalla has.

Nope.

Kyris is "home-schooled". She had tutors when she was young, and when she was deemed old enough her step-brother stepped in to familiarize her with necromancer spells and rituals. Incredibly intelligent, she finds the lessons easy and manages to twist her elven heritage and adapt to the different sorcery skills.

She has no memories of her past, and would rather keep it that way. The only ones she remembers is being picked up by the Lord Jal Hyl and taken under his protection.

1. Was attached to a data center at the Prime Minister's office for about 3 months. Best workplace I've EVER been. The first impression I had when I walked through the door? One of my future colleagues doing the Williem Hung dance to a Disney song. Same dude running around yelling, "I NEED A NEW THUMB" when his thumb-print got refused by the security scanner. Was also the first place I've ever had to pull a 12hr graveyard shift, which was still cool cause I got to show up at work in my PJs.

1. Hannibal! Which I watched from the ending to the beginning. Because I kept catching the darn movie in blocks ><

Just come off a 7hr plane trip and accused of a fake passport just cause I don't look much like my photo... ^_^ It was three years ago damnit! The customs people had a huddle whilst a chosen one held my passport right next to my face. After making me wait 10 minutes, they've finally come to the conclusion that the reason that I looked different is... get this... I look older! *gasp!* Isn't that simply amazing...

Fate decided my bad luck was too good to let off, so decided to continue its run. Getting out of the taxi, I was left alone in pitch darkness to juggle a 10kg box, a 25kg luggage bag, a backpack and a laptop bag on my itty five foot frame.

Dragging said cargo along, I got to my front door, fumbled in the dark for my keys and after what was possibly my fiftieth try, got it open. Flip the lights on to reveal... my home's been taken over by spiders. The huge kinds. Literally bigger than my whole hand spread out. Hairy too. The spiders, not my hand.

After indulging in a bit of hysterics, I rampaged the whole house to find I have nothing but an almost empty can of fly spray... which paralyse the spiders in fits of laughter at the picture of patheticness.

Can you say... D'OH!

Yes. So now I am holed up in my room with only the damned can as my last and only line of defence to last me till, oh about 8 hrs when my boyfriend will burst through the front door in a blaze of glory and heroism. Hopefully bringing along a flamethrower as well.
