On another note...there's been some serious happenings in my high school recently and so no, I wasn't really pissed at DA...there are other things

I'm pissed because DA deleted one of my renders because someone reported it as stolen...The funny thing is this same exact thing was reported 2 years ago and the admins had no problem with it then. I have every necessary right to the stuff I used...I filed one of those help desk thingys with all the proper links and stuff...no reply

What pisses me off the most is that in the note about your art being deleted they put a link to the piece that was deleted...you know, just so you can see for yourself that the files not found

and fuck those weekly-biweekly-monthly questions...

here are the answers (in no order)

wednesday or "hump day" as I prefer to call it due to the sexual innuendo of it, is the most useless day of the week... Monday and Tuesday prepare you for the week, Thursday and Friday prepare you for the weekend, The weekend just kicks ass, but wednesday just sits there like that side that nobody wants at thanksgiving, not doing any good, and just seeming disgusting.

It's my halfway mark; and also a good day cuz the second half of the week is generally better than the first

Its Hump Day, Once Wednesday is there you feel like your more then half way through the week and the rest of the days after it come thinking of the weekend.

If you haven't heard, yes. I am diagnosed positive with HIV. And as today marks the 27th Anniversary of its discovery, I would like to share this with you.

Having HIV is not like what it was in the past decade. People living with HIV/AIDS itself will understand. People without it are often encased in a stigma of uncertainty.

However, it's not about the human immunodeficiency virus I am talking about here. No, I don't have that so you can breathe again. Think of HIV+ as this:

HEALTH IS VALUABLE (POSITIVE)

Current HIV/AIDS education has often most likely fallen onto alot of deaf ears. They've tried everything from print ads, tv slots, movies, flyers, and millions and millions of dollars spent on HIV/AIDS Awareness programs. How many percent of respondents actually give a f***? (pun intended). Yet the number of people infected keeps rising and rising by the second.

Change your stigma. Stop your ignorance. If you don't have it, doesn't mean you won't. So you might as well believe that you ALREADY have HIV+ (of course, my version of it). THINK. RESPECT. PROTECT. Together we can end HIV prejudice. If you dare, tell the world you are indeed HIV+. Say it with me: HEALTH IS VALUABLE (POSITIVE). This is one HIV+ you wanna spread! And I dare you to do the same by doing a "Hi. My name is _______ & I am HIV+" journal.

I am growing tired of reporting game screens and if you say anything to someone they only get pissed off. They assume that it's only your opinion and that it doesn't matter. In a lot of ways they are right

And sadly, no one does anything about it for weeks when they are reported (or so it seems) there are enough people with far too much time who could help sift through reports

This monitor thing has been an absolute nightmare...

So first one I bought had a stuck pixel in it...I wasn't going to deal with a stuck pixel so I went to exchange it...

I had to drive to another store to get the 2nd monitor...I had the guy test it in-store for stuck/dead pixels and it was ok. However, the monitor was broken and couldn't display its own native resolution (1920x1200) it would freak out and scale the image incorrectly. So I went and exchanged it again. Same problem on the third one...

Now I'm just going to get my money back for the thing and get a smaller (but higher quality) monitor for the same price...

Now I can't get a monitor that has what I want with it...and it's driving me crazy >.<

So I settled on buying a gateway 22" with all of the inputs I wanted...

Anyway, I get the thing home and start it up and I notice a mark on the screen. Then I see a few more. I realized that the glass was cracked in about 5 places. This sent me absolutely over the edge! It was nothing I had done...someone at Circuit City had dropped it and given it to me anyway...

SO, I went back to exchange it...AGAIN...this time we tested the monitor in-store and made absolutely sure the thing was flawless (the felt really bad too)

so my 5th and final monitor is a 22" gateway which is beautiful...It better stay that way

~~Post-mortem~~

Circuit City was selling 2 models of the Acer 24" under the same guise...The P241AD and the P241BD....the BD was what I got the first time with the one pixel broken..but it worked at 1920x1200 like it should have...however the 2nd store was giving me the AD model without realizing it...The AD models don't work and Acer knows this...this perfectly explains why some reviews are perfect and glorious and some are saying to never touch an Acer monitor ever...

In all honesty, the people in Circuit City did everything they could to make this work for me. They were helpful (even if they didn't know shit about technology) and they seriously wanted to make this right for me. They never made me jump through unnecessary hoops and they were actually surprised that I had repacked the Acer's so perfectly with the plastic tape and everything (or course I never took it off in case the damn thing was broken) but they were surprised I even put it back in the box with the foam. This might also be why they believed me when I said I hadn't cracked the monitor (I honestly didn't but if they wanted to be assholes about it, they very well could have been.

And the $7 gold, HDMI cable I got from newegg works like a dream

$60 bucks for a cable my ass...

On a lighter note (as a reward for reading my never-ending bitching) I walked into an office store looking for a DVI-D cable...I asked the guy to show me where and he led me to a 12-foot-long $70 DVI-D cable...I looked at the guy and said, "I want to plug in a computer, not skip rope with it." He wasn't as amused as I was and I left rather quickly

So I got the new 24" Acer and my God is it gorgeous...

It had a stuck pixel when I first turned it on...I tried one of those color things to no avail.

I fixed it by rubbing the pixel area while moving the mouse around it...I figured if it broke I could return it, exchange it and run like hell with the new one before they noticed

I thought my HDMI cable which I paid extra money to have shipped in 3 days would be here today, seeing how I ordered it early Wednesday morning...no luck...I don't get it till Monday D: So I'll have to do the high-def blue ray stuff later >.>

that I'm, "off to break my computer." Now, it was this point where God decided to fuck me big time. So windows does it's usual thing and updates. Now here is the part that pisses me off to no avail. I go to open iTunes and the fucking library is damaged. I mean, I wanted to kill myself at this point. So I spend a while trying to fix it and find a legitimate backup. No luck, so I try to use windows restore since it made a restore point before it upgraded. Only windows would glitch when it was trying to fix itself. Yeah so I bit the bullet and just started all over. All the music was still there but I lost playlists and playcounts and that stuff. So there is more to this though. I'm in charge of the music at the family reunion tomorrow night (and the rest of the weekend.) No me, no music. iTunes is being a bitch right now and is 'determining gapless playback' and shit like that. So yeah...all of this past midnight. Gah.

I know I don't often write detailed personal things here...but i thought this was absolutely hilarious.....and good for anybody in school to read....

I had to write a paper about The Great Gatsby for school. The paper needed cited quotes and all that but I didn't have my book with me. So ever the internet user, I found a quote log. I wrote a really good paper and turned it in. I go online and find out i was given an F on the paper for plagiarism. I was angry to say the least.

The next day I talk to the teacher and he chews me out saying that my quotes weren't in the book and that the pages were all wrong. Now the page issue I understood because of different versions, but I didn't think that was plagiarism by any means. The teacher also says I just flat out made up quotes, to which I had no defense. He said he had read it so many times and had taught for so many years. I convinced him I meant no harm and he said I could rewrite the paper for a reduced grade. I took what I could get.

I get a copy of the book and start looking through it at home. To my amazement I found one quote after about 10 seconds of looking. After another few minutes I came across the second quote. Neither was far off from the page I listed. So now I don't think I'm going to change my quotes. Nor do I think I will settle for a reduced grade. I have to wonder how he will feel about this.

Moral of the story, fight for your rights in school. Not all teachers are evil or unfair, but some are. Five minutes of searching in a book just allowed me to be right. That's important because plagiarism is a serious offense and it isn't unheard of for a student to be dropped from a class for it.

Yea...so I bought a PS3 recently ^^ ......i haven't been around much because of that.....i bought some new legos and stuff and I've got some ideas for 3d stuff....

I'm really disappointed in the legos i bought....Lego outsourced to china for manufacturing. I'm not going to lie....i liked how the stuff was way cheaper..but the bricks obviously aren't to the same standards they used to be....things don't fit together quite right like they used to...

As for the PS3.....its absolutely amazing....the graphics kick 360 all over the place...and I have played both so I'm allowed to say that....also....the controls are way better on ps3 than 360...motion sensitivity brings a lot to the games

so...I'm not going to be around all too much....I've got a lot of school work and stuff....but still....feel free to ask any questions you've got...i still check my messages and so forth.....and um.....if you see anything you would like to buy as a print just tell me....I'll get that set up for you >^.^<

Ok, so i was at best buy looking at stuff i could never afford

and i hear this music playing and i'm like 0_0 starfox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i was looking and there was this kid getting his ass handed to him on a platter on the first level of starfox assult. yea....so i'm on a lego binge! I lurve my digital legos.....ive got some truly amazing models already done but.......i afear i cant seem to make shiny legos in povray.....i ran some initial test and trials and found that it /is/ possible but i only had 2 bricks......large models are a problem and i cant seem to make one piece from another.....nor can i find the material statements for the individual bricks....if anyone has some solutions to this ide be super happy and grateful!...i can code just fine....i just have to find the right spot >^.^<

about all these "mini" legos...a few years ago lego made a mini starwars series with these itsy bitsy models...each came with a "special" piece and if you got all of the models youd have enough special pieces to build a tie bomber or something.....anyway....i have it in mind to build all of these at some point...and i think i'll build the full versions where possible....ide also like to start doing some technic lego stuff but i have no way to make hoses and the like....if i could make those....i could make the ferrari enzo model! >^.^<

one last lego thing.....if any of you want to try your hand at this.....drop me a note or comment and i'll make a tutorial....i'll put everything from downloading and setting up the various programs and parts libraries and then i'll walk through the basic model....but i want to know someone will use it >^.^<

my Vue 5 crashed >.< i lost hell...it was great....i had a whole decaying city with a castle and some mountains and a river and it was magical.....the file went corrupt or something with the crash....I fixed vue but seem to have lost the file....i have an idea on how to revive it but i'll need some help with it >^.^< ]]> *pyrohmstr
