The title is how my friend put it. Which is stereotypically true.

Anyway, so yesterday I turned seventeen..
Have any of you noticed there's a huge mentality leap between sixteen and seventeen? As if you're treated with just a little bit more respect now that you're seventeen? People regard sixteen as being 'that typical teenager age, youthful and naive', but when grownups look at seventeen year-olds it's like they see that that typical-teenager-dom is faded--most kids are driving by seventeen, have jobs, etc. There's more responsibility that comes with being this age and therefore more asked from you and a person. It's a big mentality jump for just one year.

Another big change comes with it as well. Since elementary school I've always 'looked older for my age'; I started growing earlier, faster than most.
So when I told people how old I was they were surprised, "Oh wow! I never would have guessed you were X years old! I thought you were so much older!"
Even while I was sixteen people would think I was a college student, but now that I'm a mere year older the reactions will change. When I tell people I'm seventeen they'll respond "Oh, that makes sense." Regardless that I look exactly how I did when I turned sixteen.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I feel like I'm growing too fast. That within one year I'm given so much more responsibility, need to look for colleges, get my license, get a job.. I liked being sixteen. But we all need to man up some time, that's how life works.

BAAAWWWW some more, Noelle.

I've finally submitted shit after, oh, I don't know... a 2-3 year hiatus? Goddamn.

I forced myself to do it. I figured, why not just scan all the crap you've accumulated in your sketchbook in 2008 (which isn't much) and post the ones you like? It's something, right?

Whatever, I feel somewhat better now.

ENJOY.
