I'm off to Tasmania for a couple of weeks, shall be doing lots of hiking and exploring and *hopefully* seeing penguins with my gorgeous man. T'is a well earned break after a stressfull year

So, I wont be around to paint, comment and from the 28th Nov until 11th Dec. But I have lots of painting planned for when we get back until Uni starts again!

I have a few new artworks up and coming which will *hopefully* not only be an improvement on my work of last year but also a slight change in direction and style. The Night Queen



She is the Night Queen, able to travel through the darkness at will. She has always been, and will always be, accompanied by her planet familiars as she explores and watches the myriad of places (and times) in the multiverse.

I've entered a contest being held by the fantastic . The theme is Secrets, I found it quite challenging... t'is such a broad theme! But I came up with two graphite pieces:

The Girl in the Strange Mask



She turns heads with her pretty smile as she wanders through the Masquerade Garden, leaving a trail of whispers.... Who is she??!

Her Secret Wish



She rises early and creeps silently around the house, eventually stopping to gaze at her favourite painting. She feels trapped, and secretly wishes she could leave.... but her fear of 'out there' is bigger than her secret wish. In her gilded cage she remains, not realising that she has the power and magic to grow wings and fly away forever.
