Believe it or not, my story is getting published in august! By Shadowline!!

Here's the story short: Jimmie Robinson, the creator of Bomb Queen,

...saw my stuff on Comicspace and told his editor Jim Valentino about it. Now Jim and Kris "editor girl" Simon are bossing me around (in a very good way!) and I'm the new cucaracha in the Shadowline team.
I mean WAY cool Beavis.

The official preview won't be out till 4 weeks from now, but I'm posting the cover and you can check out the first pages (without the lettering) here -

Lettering will be done by Dave Rothe.


Ok this took me some work to do, I even signed up to deviantart just so i could post a bunch of linkable pics.
Here's the deal, I don't wanna sound like a bitch... no, I WILL sound like a bitch but this is necessary: DON'T ask me about Image/Shadowline Submissions. ALL the info you need can be found clicking in Kris and Jim Valentino's Icon. Really, that's not up to me.


I wanna thank my mommy and daddy for keeping me fed and keeping a roof over my head while I hunchbacked over my desk and learned how to draw.

Those preview pages in comicspace will be re-touched, and I gotta do a cover art for it. I'll say more about it when I know for sure.

Apart from that, I'm working at a design/Illustration studio, with my 2 partners Anderson and Loocas
AAnd I still have to attend college 3 mornings per week (that continues to be the worse part)

Which all means, I'm motherfuckin busy!!

But I'm happy about it and I really hope everything works out. At the end of the year I was somewhat depressed and disincouraged (if thats a word) about the future and $$$, and I almost thought on giving up on a lot of things... But like that Hellacopters song go, nothing like good news to get rid of your blues

It seems the town has been abandoned for centuries. The stone towers are all covered with moss and plants, while the lower houses look engulfed in a jungle. I can' really put my finger on where the hell we are, the fortress is somewhat british middle age castles , but there's stairs and pyramid-like temples with courtyards in the middle that resemble maya architeture. My best guess is my brain is making a tomb raider rerun, I haven't played that in a long time.
There's no bird in the sky, there's no sound but the waves pounding the rocks down the cliff, which edge we're crossing and trying to figure out where's the entrance to the stone fortress. scene missing. We're in an underground tunnel maze below the fortress, walls covered with moss, weird insects I've never seen, and there's light lamps scattered in the left wall, only some of them are out and sometimes we have 4 seconds of darkness instead of 2. There's a strain of water in the ground, and I'm wondering how far we went down, because that cliff was really fucking high. We're riding jet skis at top speed, like something's following us, but our fuel is running out. My friend Rafael says 'screw this', he was in the jet beside me, I turn to him and ask what the fuck he's doing, while he jumps out and disappears in a hole in the wall. He pulls a lever (I can't see him doing it but I know it somehow, it's one of those dream things) and we hear a loud noise, followed by a wave of cool air being decompressed from somewhere and pushing us forward even faster. That's when things get creepy. I mean, up till now everything was really cool.
The Creepyness resumes in that, suddenly there's only one more light bulb ahead of us, then the tunnel ends in a Huge gallery, where I can't really see the ceiling on the walls, but there's little blue light coming from somewhere and shaping huge statues on the top right. That's where I could get a notion of distance, I could see where it ended upwards, but downwards, there's only a gap where water is pouring down. Things happen fast, everybody starts screaming, I ask where's rafael, and someone says he's right behind us. then I fall, it takes about 5 or 6 seconds till I hit the water. Two other friends (I don't really know who they are) fall behind me, I see them splashing just above the waterline, even tough at this moment I'm underwater (the dream switches from first to third person all the time) Then I'm underwater again, I hear the blunt-bubbling sound of a jet crashing just ahead of me, It would have hit me for one meter and some seconds delay. Everything's chaos.
Third Person above the waterline view again, a few seconds more of silence after everybody falls, a fucking huge shadow of something gooey splashes into the water, blood flying all over. That's not Rafael. It looks like an ray, not your mild mannered cownose ray, but something from a stephen king novel, with a huge mouth filled with sharp, pointy (monty phyton's obligatory quote) piercing teeth.
Then it eats us all and we die, fin.


Maybe I've been reading comics a little bit too much.

On the meanwhile, watched V for Vendetta, I know by now people are already sick of hearing about it, but I'll rant anyway. You dont have to read if you already read my fotolog, is the same bullshit.

As much as he's a hippiesh mushroom head dirty old raunchy annoying poking-people-with-his-cane man, I have to agree with Alan Moore. Not only because of the twisted script, not only because they took all the monologues about anarchy and turned the whole thing into a right-wing left-wing alegory, not only because they tried to humanize V and add silly romance bits between him and evey...
Thats just hollywood. I expected worse. And people wouldnt really get a story written in the early 80's about a 'near future' in the 97's, unless they read the comic.
Don't get me bad, there are some good scenes, lots of it. And as I'm a wuss, i fell in love with V again, and i must confess I loved the silly cooking breakfast apron scene, and I laughed of the Tv talkshow scene, a lot.
But man.
What really annoys me, is Paris Hilton wannabes kind of people watching the movie. All emo shitheads and people who never even heard of the comic watching that.
If you read the comic, I'm pretty sure you fell in love with it like me. It sounds gay, yes, but I get really jealous on things I love ;(

So just imagine Moore's state about this. Of course hes old enough not to cry on spilled milk, but he's been fucked by DC comics on the ownership of the comics and they steal away their babies and make distortions of it for the sole purpose of creating a new stupid fad and making money on it and pretty soon there'll be people wearing shirts and a billion fanarts are gonna pop on DA and bla bla bla...

My friend Lucas told me Panini comics will be releasing a book with all the comic issues and a few extra making of bits here in Brazil. I think Im gonna buy it, at least some money goes to David Lloyd...

I really hope they dont get to make the watchmen movie.

These days, I've been feeling a lot of sympathy for marvin, from "The hitchiker's guide'. Another good book turned into a bad movie, but at least that one didnt get me really jealous about...

I'm finishing the cover for my friends' band Warkings [link] (haahah really sorry, thats all they have online for now). They're gonna kick fuckin ass. They sound like COB, little bit more raw, without the gay stuff. Also there'll be surprise gifts inside the demos and its partially my fault! do the math.

I look really WEIRD on that pic cause he didn't quite know me when he drew that... I look like a chick dressing up as me dressing up like a chick! But Duane looks just so cool, like Disney's tarzan. (I think the disney baby tarzan would be the cutest little thing ever if I didn't prefer kittens over human babies)
I still get all emotional and gay when I receive something like that! Drawings are the best gift ever.
It's so cool to imagine someone sat and worked his ass off just to draw something for you, especially cause I know what it takes to do that!

Hmm I got some teachers pissed at me cause ive been skipping college too much. well, let them be pissed. You know, when you hate someone or something the one who gets the worse part is you. The ones who are hated don't even know or just don't give a fuck. Maybe i should give up hating some things to only despise them...

Some projects for summer vacations:

-I'm gonna participate in a monthly fanzine called oink-poink, also featuring and 2 other brazillian artists I met on fotolog. Ou goal is that each one of us makes a 4-page story about a common subject per issue. First one is pirates! aarrr! (Will start this in middle december I think). On a later issue of that I plan on making a little surprise to . I also have a surprise for being done, I think both works will please everyone!

-hmm maybe I'll also get some of my stuff published on another zine called "mosh" too...

-Manufacturing a Duane Plush! I got a friend who's somewhat skilled at sewing cosplay costumes, I really can't stand cosplaying anymore, but I'm still too meet one girl, as tough as she pretends to be, that doesn't like plushie dolls. I was looking at 's gallery (aint she the best!) and thought about ordering one from her, but it'll probably take too long and its gonna end up pretty expensive. But the idea of a Duane plush, One big enough for me to hug the stuffing out of it, man, that would so rule. So I'm gonna ask my friend for help and see what we can do. If anyone has basic tips or a site that teaches how to make plushies, please be my guest!

Don't Kill me just yet, read first!!

It's er, hmm... the "metal" song arrangments, if thats the word. Sometimes they were a bit disturbing when they werent hidden behind the flying kung fu scenes. I mean I listen to metal , those cheesy distorted guitars, even though they were good for videogame standards, they were still, well... cheesy. Next Time hire Nuclear assault to do those tracks godammit.

Well the following can contain spoilers so don't read if you're too much of a spoiler-hating geek and haven't watched it yet.

First of all, about the characters being perfect and beautiful and all... can anyone tell me how Tifa manages to keep her nipples stiff and showing through hard leather the whole fucking movie? And everybody's hair is so perfect , they did a great job making Sephiroth look sexy even with that hairdo... I mean it must be the most ridiculous hairdo in the world.... but still... His eyes, mouth, and his voice... !!! GAH!!!
Fuck you Square Enix for making me horny for a bunch of 3d renderings.

Kodaj and Reno ended up too gay. Kodaj's supposed to be the gay histeric villain pack leader anyway... I prefer Yazoo and his evil laugh (I have serious issues with evil laughs)
The subtitles I downloaded had some problems. Sometimes the dialogues didn't make much sense, and Reno going "YO" all the time was stupid. I didn't remember Reno and the Shinra guys were so stupid.
Uhh..Aeris is still a pain in the ass. We didn't need that lot of flashbacks and white screens with her pestering around. I never liked her, really. I mean you knew she was gonna die, and you still had to carry her around and level her up and shit. Die and stay dead already, stop interrumpting the flying kung-fu!


Also, everything's speed of light fast. I really enjoyed some of the ground fights where you could actually see some kicks and punches. A little more blood and wounds and less gay rainbow lights would surely help too, but fuck...

I wanna sit on a vegetative state and watch that shit over and over till i die.

I mean c'mon people, cosplaying should be something meant for fun, wasn't it? as some sort of costume party were you can dress as a character and fool around a bit, I even cosplayed last year during animefriends and had a ball, but if you ask me, I didn't even enter the contest. Wasn't the point. I wouldn't mind the contest itself if wasn't for one thing someone told me some days ago...

I can't tell I never asked for someone to take my picture with moogle, but damn... a motorcycle? It was more than my duty to curse about this. Cause while the TV is showing off anime fans as a pile of retarded fucks whose main purpose in life is DDR and ego trip fights for who won the cosplay contest or not, the drawing contest is happening on some dark corner that no one sees.

Drawing is the very foundation of the event. So what? Let's make a guitar playing contest then, and give the prize for the musician with the prettiest outfit.

I know it's all about entertainment, I know cosplay is what brings more than 10.000 people for the cons, but it shouldn't be that way.

I won second place at the animefriends CG category this year. I didnt go to the con cause I was outta money. But i bet my ass if I was onstage receiving the prize any journalist would go right past me to interview the nearest cyborg gonzo digi charat chick.

I wouldn't hold any grudge about this all if it had not turn into a circus and if people haven't forgotten about the art behind it.

Come to think of it, after naruto, there may be no more art left in it anyway. It just proves that when something becomes too popular it rots away. Anime in general has gone from bad to worse, and it keeps me wondering how people didn't got sick of it yet, and what will be the next target for the media to dive in and destroy it.

Fuck.
I'll keep throwin shit in the fan, wearing my non mainstream clothes listening to my non mainstream music hanging around with my non mainstream friends doing non mainstream things and drawing my non maisntream art.

Cause at least i know these things are sincere and I can't be fooled by them.

My oh my... I'm still baffled. what was it, 8000 page hits in one day? Something I made being favorited more than 500 times?

I worked all day, had a few laughs with my bosses and the other temp. I work at this design sort of like office-studio that makes internal e-learning courses, if thats the word. these courses always need a silly character introducing the classes, and thats where me and macromedia flash jump in. *jumps* woot!
so far its really small, only 4 people working there, two bosses, me and the other temp. but lately we have more and more big clients coming and soon and we'll have more people joining, and maybe my pigbro lucas will be sharing our lousy coffee and music-style-taste-speaker-ownership-fight everyday routine. Weeee!


FER TALKS ABOUT SPORT - wtF?

I answered this poll about physical exercising someone made here on da today.

About 2 hours ago we were finishing today's kung-fu class but only one hour later i was at home cause i kept chit chatting with my sifu (or master) Li, and his son, Bruce (yeah i know it sounds like a joke but it's not. his name IS bruce. hehehe) .
It's really surreal cause Li is Chinese so his portuguese is nowhere perfect. His son was born in brazil tough. They're both beyond cuteness, and maybe the most amusing part of training is when they fight each other (Bruce lee WATAAAAH shouting and random silly moves and falls take over!) . overall the rest of the boys and gals in class are nice kids (they're mostly younger than me).
Ah..I'm ranting, I dunno if that really interests anyone. But I really wanted to say, I'm NOT going to kung-fu classes cause I wanna be a monk, a ninja, ranma or naruto or whatever shit. The reason why I've been doing that for ...last 8 months I think, it's the fact that the kf hour is the only period of the day when I'm not thinking about anything that pisses me off or worries me. And you do get healthier and thinner and more confident about yourself.
- I'm no supermodel and I still love my beer belly but now my punches can make MUCH more damage mwa ha. (just kidding)

there were some shitty points inbetween work and kf, the highlights of my day, but I don't feel like wasting my time complaining (it's a miracle, or she's stoned, seize her!)

Its good to hear critiques, I sometimes feel SCARED of criticizing people here in da cause I don't see anyone doing that. I'm always afraid people will take it too personally and flame me - something close to that happened once or twice.

When i finished editing "please don't leave me" I thought, okay, i could make it better, but the concept is good and sincere, so i guess people will relate to it so why not post it.
Then there was people faving and commenting more than I ever saw in my gallery..

I have not much to say except thank you ALL *__* I had a lousy week and the only thing that keeps me looking forward to the future is my art. So it seems i hit my first bull's eye... WHoa, havent written here in a while...well my guess is nobody reads this anyway

Much has happened since last time I posted.. and ,holysahuh6%$sdwd more 1000 hits only this month, and going up thank you guys so much

Life's been hysteric for me lately...between my part-time job where i bang my head against the wall of flash animating to the deep shit going nowhere design college i pretend to study for, and damn motherfucking roaches all around my uncle's house (the whole neighbourhood used to be a swamp before, my guess is that it still is and they just put houses on top of it..) my only hapyness are master Li and the boys from the kung-fu classes and the weekends where i go visit my mom and my cats, eat decent food, sleep and go out with my pigfriends, and Booboo [link] , the responsible for duane. Thats right, It's all her fault mommies and daddies, that your kids tried to motorbikesurf in and they broke a few arms and legs. go blame her!

Somehow i managed to draw a lot (but i still think i should draw more). On the other hand I havent slept enough...

I know its out ages ago but I saw constantine and it sucked big time. but secure fonts told me, Sin City is has good as it looked like it would be in the trailers, maybe even better. I wonder if it'll even reach the movies here in brasil or if itll go straight to dvds...

I just realized i find it very important. and by now I was supposed to have enough life experiences to find a solid image for myself. but thats not what happens...

i got a problem with personal marketing. I dont have any! o_O or at least...it doesnt have a focus. Guess it all begun when I got somewhat tired of anime and went to look into other directions and influences. Now i really dont know exactly where my art is going. Also, i think I like too many things (even if some people might say im nowhere near ecletic), at least, too many *different* things to find one figure piece or symbol or whatever to represent me. this sucks. queen-diamond's also an old, outdated nick. which means... when this dillema is over I'll probably get a new da. Ouch, yeah it sucks.
I dont know, i got this pig mania going on but everything's not ALL about pigs. and other than that i never had any catchy nicknames in life. auntie fer is not a bit comercial. so maybe just fer? or just chiella? or..ack!

as far as my little intervention on the yaoi culture goes, "Level C" is just about the most icky and grotesque (if thats how you spell it) thing I have ever seen. I think I'll never be able to have a normal sex life after that. So DON'T watch it.
