I have rediscovered my interest in restoration (finding something and making rebuilding it like new blah blah blah).

My restoration project is a gun....

Not only that, its a beast of a gun!

The guy I got it from was sellling it as he found it (and it was not a pretty sight) and was going to break it down for parts until I came along. He had a few of these and I asked if I could the worst one (budget reasons).

Before anyone asks, It is deactivated! You can only hurt someone if you feed it to them.

The reason I bought it is because I have keen interest in history and I love good craftsmanship and the gun I have represents the last of a long items at were made by skill and human hands on a grand scale before such skills began to die thanks to industry and the desire for numbers of items over quality.

You can plainly see that I haven't added anything lately...I say lately...it's been months.

I don't know what but I have lost my mojo for photoshopping pictures and have been struggling to find time for that....or anything else. I blame my brother and his old creeking house. Don't get me wrong, I love my brother and antiquities but he does persist on getting it spot on.

Sorry, i'm jawwing.

back to the subject: I have just been struggling with time. I have ideas for some artwork but by the time I get round to it, I'm either drunk, ill, rebuilding my brothers house or completely shagged out.

I need a kick up the photoshopping backside!

I here to wish you a happy Christmas, Happy Haneka or what ever you believe in.

As usual i will be working this Christmas just like last year and years before. I will try and update my journal in the comming days. I have a few pictures and stories i have been working on.

As i serve the drunken masses and mop floors, give a thought to those are working this Christmas, not only myself, and especially those who will not be with their families this Christmas.

Like in my family, we are still mourning two my aunts passing. But my Aunt Fran and Aunt Illiene are with us in spirit and I hope your families are together in spirit if nothing else.

I haven't updated my journal in a while.

I have just posted a new story up and have a couple more in the works.

I'm not looking forward to the next week. I'm working constant nightshifts and covering illnesses and holidays. A good pay cheque will follow but not much spare time.

Plus I will be trying to finish a long story and post it up if I can. And when I say long, I mean long. It's filled a whole book and I have been writting it since December.

My dog Jasper has a problem, he a infection in his nose that is effecting his breathing. He's been to the vet and gave him some drugs to clear it up.

But the cost was emmence, the vet said if it doesn't clear up, they would have to do x-rays and explority surgery that could cost thousands.

The family had a talk and said it would be to put him to sleep than rather have him go under the knife and considering that he's 14 years old (98 dog years).

They gave him 10 days of drugs to see if it you clear up and therefore save his life.

That was two weeks ago.

HE'S ALIVE!


When we found out the infection was clearing, that was the happiest day of my life. I've got my dog for at least a few more years and prossibly more, the vet actually got his age wrong and through he was 10 years old. If his health is that good, he's going to be with us for years more.

I have been having medical problems recently, mainly due to an abcess... on my spine.

It just came out of nowhere a few days ago.

The pain has been torture, to a point where i couldn't even walk or sleep. I started a course of treatment yesterday, both anidiotics and pian killers.

After a day of using an electric blanket, it burst!

I didn't feel it. The smell gave it away and blood and puss came gushing down my back, down my backside and leg to make a small pubble on the floor.

Brown and black puss and blood has been oozing out my back for for three hous now. It does feel better to say the least.

I have bought the DVD of Atonement and as I predicted. I'm in the deleted scenes but I also found out that I'm in the documentary aswell.

But I am not happy with because when it was filmed, my weigth was at its peak, 17.5 stone (230 lbs or 107 kg). Its a horrible sight.

But apart from that, i'm happy.

FIRST: My pageviews has finally hit 1000. At last!

Second thing: I have got another acting job. It for for the national health service (NHS) and they are making a DVD about mens health. And I've got a part.

There is one thing I am worried about. Its set and going to be filmed in a gay bar. I don't mind it but I am already getting poked in the ribs about it. But I am looking forward to it.

I just remembered a problem, the script says Jason (my charater) is tanned and physically fit. If you've seen my portraits , you see the problem.

Just updating my journal to show that I am here and that I didn't die on halloween.

The week has been busy, I have been invited to job interviews coming from left, right and centre.

But work is get worse, it was terrible before but now....

We were short staffed but 2 of the day shift have jacked in (One taking a handful of money aswell) which means its going up shit creek in a leaking boat.

Story-wise, I have written a few more storys and I am fishing through my old photographs for my old landscape pictures. I need to brighten up my gallery, at the moment, its very gloomy.

Update: I have been to see my doctor again about my lungs. I have nothing serious than what i already have. But he said i could use something to help me or benefit me. He's put me on steriods.

Plus on a lighter note, I think i'm in love again. and this time, i think you all how her, shes on DA. Everytime i get a comment from her, they sound so........loving. I know you guys add hug smilies and such but was she writes......I don't know.....they just make me happy.

Everything is fine, lungs have been dudded as slightly undersize (Meaning my lungs are too small for my body) but nothing to worry about.

.....I have never meet such an annoying bunch of beatnicks in all my born days.
Okay, i am a mature person, its my nature and really felt out of place being there. Not only was i the oldest student there but i was also older than half the tutors.
It was so cheerful, it was creepy and had to grit my teeth to stop myself from hitting people like they were spoilt children who had no manners.
I at least thought that there would be some level of maturity to the bunch, there wasn't and I told them this and I left.
It was just so uncomfortable. I would whole heartedly call it one the worst experiences in my life. With the attitude of the place, I was suprised that the walls where not padded with rubber.

The only way to put it into words is a group of about 100 loud American Idle wannabes.

But here is what really aqgravated me, at the end of the day I asked 'Would you like to go to the pub?', they all said no because none of them were even old enough. I even said i would buy the drinks. I personally think that students these days have lost their priorities, yes they should have fun but having fun while sober? It doesn't dare thinking about.

I don't know about anyone else but I got sent a note from someone calling themself !jessicahammilton, telling me about a poetry competition.

I checked her page, she had been banned just half an hour after I got the message.

Did anyone else get a message like that?

Plus something else, unrelated. I was at work two days ago about 20 minutes before the end of my shift when this woman walks into the shop on a papaer run.
I'll describe her, about 25, 5 foot 4, petite body, long black hair that went to the small of her back and spoke in a thick Russian accent.
When she left, she kept on looking back at me smiling and even waved at me when she drove away in her car.

I'm just confused by what she did because a lass has never done that to me before, what do i do?

I don't know why but i just had the urge to write it. It to a point where i didn't even know what i was writting. It was weird.

I personally think that i wrote it out of my desire to be loved by a woman, it has to be. I can't think of anything other reason why i wrote it.

I must admit, i wasn't brave enough to tell her in person so i wrote her a letter instead with a gift, a ring.

From what I have been told by workmates, she is happy if not a little shocked but she seems to have taken the new well but she hasn't told me want she thinks yet.

But I am happy that she didn't flip at me and just waiting for her answer.

I have a question for everyone. As well we know, we are all ,in terms of the world, 'odd' characters.

But my question is this, how do you make yourself stand out from the crowd?

Here's my answer: I make myself stand out of the crowd by using my appearance, simply because i am an oddball. If you see my self portrait in my gallery, that was not set up, i didn't dress up for that, those are my everyday clothes.

I thinks its because when i was younger, i used to watch gangster movies and adopted their style of dress because they were everything i wanted to be, bold as brass yet seffisticated.

So what do you guys do?

I am not submitting a deviantion just yet but i need some consoling.

My question is: is it possible for a man to feel broodish?

I know it sounds odd and something out of Daniella Steel novel but i just feel lonely.

I haven't seen much of my family lately and this is making be lonely and jealous of my siblings.

You my brothers and sisters are all in relationships and out of the 5 of use, i'm the only one who is single and it gets be feeling like i am alone in the world.

It's times like this that i long for a girlfriend. Maybe it's just me, i have been reading a lot of romance stories lately, out of character for a man, i know but....i don't know.

All that i know is that i long to be with a woman that i can give my heart and soul.
I long to wake up in a bed with my arms wrapped around a woman to loves me that when she would sleep, she would squeeze my hand to make sure i was still there and tell me she loves me without saying a word, just through touch.

I know this sounds corning or even cheesy but i have longed for that all my life and i feel i have arrived at a point in my life where i will meet someone or remain alone.

I know it doesn't sound like much but even though my grandparents are dead. Somehow today, it seens like they are alive again.

Yes its just a 12 year old Honda Civic that has too many close calls with the scrapyard, but it was a one of my grandfathers pride-and-joys. and have many happy memories with that car.

So even if they are dead, a piece of them still lives, and its sitting on my driveway.

I know people have these experiences in life in some shape or form, but this is mine, and i want to share it.

I'm also not affraid to admit, i am crying as i write this, but i'm happy.

Because next week is going to kill me, I have to work nightshifts and as soon as i finish the last on, literaly as soon as i finish the last one, i have to go to a town called Scunthorpe for a training day for work.

that means i will be awake for getting close to 35 hours, go through around 40-50 cigarettes when i am trying to quit, and finally meet my boss, the shortarse, little skinflint who when i passed out at work last years and put onto a heart monitor, viewed the security tape to see if was stealing anything.

And on the weekend, I am getting a car, YES. But, it is inherited, left to me in my grandfathers will, he died 4 years ago so i let my aunt borrow it, she has trashed it, when she got it, it was immactulate, 7 years old and had only 16k on the clock.
She has crash it 4 times but has repaired it so she didn't have to scrap it and end up buying me a new car.

and she wants £300 ($600) to pay for half the repair bill for the last time she crashed it back in december.
