So, you might have noticed something different...No, it's not the hair. I actually tried my hand at CSS and designing a new journal skin. Didn't turn out how I wanted, but honestly, I'm pretty pleased I got this far. I wouldn't have gotten to this point without :iconcerena: 's awesome journal CSS tutorial here and :iconmoonfreak: 's basic journal skin video tutorial with the CSS coming from :iconmindfuckx:

Awesome stuff. Seriously. Once I've regained some patience, I might try again, considering I've gotten the basic hang of it, and this was my tester. Maybe do some actual artwork in the meantime...

I've always been a fan of the good ol' teenage mutant ninja turtles. Back in the day my bro was obsessed with the old cartoon, and I've seen the new series. After which I got into the comics. So, funnily enough, a lot of my 'art' of late has been reptilian ninja based. So, I'm throwing out the concept of being super-original-awesome till later, and relaxing into some fan-work. Keeps me working on technique, and considering my units of work on my Illustration course, a very good thing too. Gotta learn to draw other people's ideas! Onwards, slave-driver!

Truly, disappointing. Can't blame anyone but myself for that! I feel absolutely terrible for my opponent :icondeathdog3000: as they put so much effort into their gorgeous entry. Mine may not have measured up but they deserved to see, dammit! Go visit them and pour love on their art. I will find a way to make it up. (Why am I using plural? Because I don't want to offend by guessing the gender!)

Also annoyed with myself, as it means I put the effort into doing something (An alien concept for me) and it appears it's for nought. I mean...I got a new character out of this, one that's got potential to develop. Hooray for Dru. And it's all practice anyhoo.

My brain's been all over the place recently. What with the insane disorganization of the Uni and all the paperwork and having been househunting (Finally got a place! Whee!) and...ugh. Yeah. The past two weeks have been the most stressed I can say I've ever been. Brilliant timing as usual!

Some randoms facts about me

* I am clumsy as all Hell. I slip, bump into things, twist my ankle, get stuck and just look plain awkward all the time. And yet the newspaper said I was a graceful dancer...

* I was only in the newspaper because I used to be a part of the local theatre company. Started as a kiddlywink in the chorus, before getting one of the main parts. After that, I had to quit to focus on study. Of course, singing, dancing and flouncing around on stage really isn't that fun. A load of old cogers, they were. Oh yah, and the main lead in another play...

* I'm about 5'7 with blue eyes, blondey, shoulder length hair (Currently dark-dye). Not fat! :D But not fit either... *grumble*

* I over analyse people too much. Everything they say, do or even their facial twitches and choice of shoes has me trying to figure out..just about anything. Fun, but it can get me into trouble. One of those things you keep to yourself.

* My cat, love her to bits, is gorgeous. I aquired her quite some time ago now, without my parents consent. I accidentally told someone on the phone that I was interested in their kittens and somehow...he ended up delivering her the next day. Thank God she was too cute to turn away.

* I am picky. To the extreme. Full stop.

* I love going on holiday. Or camping. But the Dominican Republic has stolen my heart. I shall return one day...

* I'm fluent in Swedish. That is to say, I can understand it perfectly, but what with not having been back to Sweden in a couple of years now, it's harder to speak it. A week back with the relatives always sorts that.

I've got a few art-like things that I need to get started on, which is good, because that's motivation for ya! Nothing makes you work that extra little bit harder than when you're trying to impress someone. Or it's for dosh. There's also a few things I want to do for myself, but I've got all summer now, so there's no rush. Have to learn to take my time and make it worth it. I know I can, so there's little reason not to anymore. Especially since work and school are laying off. I'm going to be bored. So very, very bored.

I've also been running into walls everytime I change to a different style, or try something new. I'm just experimenting, but until I finally fix on a style of my very own, I feel like a pinball. But that's not such a problem. I can change style to fit the purpose! And it's fun trying out new things, however badly they fail.

Need to practice more on OC and this screwed up tablet. I kid you not, both are out to get me. Need to get a new /awesome/ tablet, as working on this crumby, cheapo thing can't be helping anything. And get CS3. When I have the money! Also playing around with Flash. Animations are fun.

So the moral of the story is stop being a lazy ass and get started on stuff. And make it awesome!

I first wanted to try animation after watching all the cartoons you see these days, wishing I could do that crap. Only a while back did I find Adam Phillips' site, containing the ever popular Brakenwood series. After watching /all/ of the animations on his site I decided 'Hell, why /shouldn't/ I try?'. I recon I've learnt more from going through his site than any of the tutorials. I havn't really done anything with it yet, but someday I'll try to do something worthwhile with what I've gleaned from him. Absolute ledgend!

Through his site I also found Sham Bhangal's VCam on O'reillynet.com. I've literally only /just/ incoperated this into Larry's animation, and have found it to be a truly amazing piece of actionscript.

So with everything that I've learnt so far, all my ambitions of doing something good and experimenting with realisticness I believe the question is:

"How the Hell does that relate to a peanut!?"
