I'm doing a News Bulletin in Media about Japanese Fashion, specifically cosplay, and I am hoping to film it at this picnic. This will include random footage of cosplayers, such as in Orbital or playing Twister or doing photoshoots, and also interviews with cosplayers about cosplaying.

What this questionnaire is for:
this qustionnaire has been written to give me a clear idea of what type of stories best interest my target audience and which of my ideas they would be more interested in watching on a news programme.

Idea 1: Street Performers
Outline: this story would be about the work of street performers in London at places such as South Bank. I would be finding out how much they earn, how long they have been doing it for, what got them interested in street performing and other questions like this to find out what it is like to be a street performer and how they came to work on London’s streets. I would also be finding out information for people interested street performing.

Idea 2: Tutankhamen exhibit
Outline: the first time the Tutankhamen exhibit has returned to London and has been updated for a more modern style, including videos, light shows, new music and little shows to make the exhibit ‘come alive’ although it is a fairly expensive exhibit. So I will aim to find out if it is really worth the money and hours of queuing and will see if it is really worth a teenagers time like the exhibit says it is. I will do this by asking family groups in the line what attracted them to the exhibit and also talk to family groups with young teenagers who have finished the exhibit to see if they have enjoyed it. This will create a good idea as to if the exhibit is all it is said to be and then the target audience will know if it is something they want to spend their money on.

Idea 3: Japanese Culture in London
Outline: Japanese culture is becoming increasingly popular in London, along with the idea of ‘cosplay’, where you dress up as a character from an anime (Japanese cartoon), manga (Japanese comic) or video game. It is becoming popular amongst teenagers in and around London who meet up in cosplay and spend the day out in London visiting various places such as Orbital Manga, which sells items relating to the Japanese culture. I would interview people at these cosplay meets and find out what makes them so interesting, what got them involved, how they found out about the meets, what their first costume was and what the funniest experience they have had whilst in costume and stuff like this. I will find out information on how others can get involved and also talk about anime and manga, asking their ‘expert opinion’ on what is the best.

Idea 4: Underage Drinking In Brentwood
Outline: In Brentwood young teenagers are gathering on Friday nights to meet up in parks and in the high street, but they have been telling their parents that they are going to a youth centre, the Hermit. Parents are driving them into Brentwood thinking that their children are spending a safe night in a safe teen friendly environment, but they are out on the streets drinking and causing trouble, which is giving Brentwood a bad image. I would be interviewing some of these teenagers to find out why they choose to go out drinking rather than visit the Hermit, also I would talk to people on the High Street to see what they think of the increasing problem and also talking to people at the Hermit to give teenagers more information on the place and show teenagers that there is another place to visit on a Friday evening where they can have fun. And no taking Law. -dies- not happy about that. Not happy about waiting an extra two years to take that lesson. But oh well.

Now I need to go work on something about criminal psychology, so I'll shut up now.

But first! I'll say how much fun I had in Scotland with Havok <3 She saved me from boredom and I love her very much for it. Also, Blackpool was fun with her. And us annoying the people in the long queue for Space Invader 2 by singing It's A Small World. xD

I have flu. I'm taking this medicine and I just read the label on it and it causes more problems than it solves.

It says, 'take before you go to bed'
and one of the side affects is 'may cause nightmares and insomnia'
Then what's the bloody point? ><

Also, for flu and cold relief it may cause drowsiness, nausea, fever and can affect the blood, making it easier to catch infection. So what the hell is this stuff doing to help?!
