Howdy publick,

I haven't been on in while, and I see that many wonderly-horrible things have taken place in my absence of late...

FIRST ORDER OF BIZNEZZ...

I'm so sorry that :whorer-movie: has been pissed and dumped on, swallowed up and then piked out and stepped on by Dev Art. So sad to hear about the stoopid peeple who are torturing you, dreary. Keep up the shutter-buggery, you very talented and pretty waif. But if yah have to, than leave dev art and do it more happily elsewhere.

Second, i think i'm dying down here in this "stew pot" that is the deep south. Someone please throw me a rope that won't dissolve in 100-degree southern idiocy! Really, it's not the whole south to blame, just )*&#@)$&*)(#&$_(# BATON ROUGE--- the devil's piss bucket!

But really, i'm sicky-sick-sick. My body is rejecting this environment on every system-level front: to wit: head cold with infection in both ears, enlarged palantine tonsils (especially the left one), nausea, sinus troubles (which I NEVER had before when I lived in a CLEAN place, like ALASKA), and oh yeah, this entry's name-sake: a BLOODY UTI (which feels like Dirge's "Scratchi-Crotchie-sumthin sumthing-Drippy-Chunk" (See GN "Cooties").

yup. i'm not very pretty right now!

now i'm just waiting for SYPHILIS to come and play.

i miss my home.

on a lighter note, more art soon.

Hey everybody I know on Dev Art!

I'm stuck in Louisiana for the time being, and hey, there's LOTS to do.

I am in charge of a donation drive to get clothes, toys, medical supplies and food to people displaced by the hurricane who really need this stuff. If you felt like you couldn't help because you live far away well now's your chance to lighten your wardrobe a little and help a lot of people.

If you would like to donate, please take the time to read the attachment and decide which way works best for you. There are a lot of options, and each of these organizations is reaching out to different demographics - ALL kinds of people were displaced from the very old to the very young and everything in between.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
HOW TO HELP-
G.A.S. Giving Back to the People
Donation Drive

The LSU Geography and Anthropology Society (GAS) is holding a donation drive set up to give needed supplies to displaced children, students, adults, workers, the elderly and the disabled and sick. We have gathered information on exactly what materials the local Louisiana charities and shelters need most now, and we have organized an effort to get those materials to them.

You can help by reading the following information and deciding to donate specific materials to the appropriate organizations. You may choose to mail donations directly to one or some organizations, or if you wish, you may mail donations to the GAS mail room and we will sort and deliver to the appropriate sources.

Thank you in advance!!!!

Sincerely,
Sally Carraher (Tatter Doll) and all the members of the Geography and Anthropology Society
Louisiana State University

Please just take a few minutes to read the following and decide for yourself which way works best for you to donate:

TO DONATE MATERIALS DIRECTLY TO AN ORGANIZATION:

Chapel on Campus needs bottled water, Gatorade and nonperishable snacks (granola bars and such) for their volunteer medical staff. They also desperately need basic consumer goods such as hygienic products – toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, facial wipes and instant hand sanitizer soap (the kind you just rub on and leave).
You may mail supplies to:
The Chapel on Campus
3355 Dalrymple Drive
Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802

Greater King David Baptist Church is in need of clothing, shoes, toiletries, nonperishable food, bottled water and house products including toilet paper, bedding, towels, pots, pans and dishes. They are also accepting monetary donations. Mail directly to:
Greater King David Baptist Church
7305 Harry Drive
Baton Rouge, LA 70807

You may also choose to mail items for the Greater King David Baptist Church to GAS (address below), and we will sort through them and deliver them.

The Boys and Girls Club of Baton Rouge is caring for their regular local children plus many children from New Orleans and the surrounding areas. They need sports items such as balls, basketballs, jumpropes, etc. They also have a special request: If you have the time to make a project kit, like some sort of craft or activity, to entertain groups of between 15-30 kids of different ages, this would help a lot. For example, if you make an art project kit, please include all the materials necessary to complete the project such as paper, crayons, glue, safety scissors, stickers, finger paint, paper towels, etc. For those of you with your own children, this would be a fun kit to make with them, and your children could feel good about helping other children far away. With Halloween coming up, a kit for making paper masks and decorated trick-or-treat bags is one awesome idea.

To mail donations directly to them: The Boys and Girls Club
461 Westmoreland
Baton Rouge, LA 70806

You may also choose to mail items for the Boys and Girls Club to GAS (address below), and we will sort through them and deliver them.

TO MAIL DONATIONS TO GAS:

You can send supplies, clothes and food directly to the GAS mail room and we will sort through them and deliver to the appropriate locations. The address is:

Geography and Anthropology Society
C/O: Donation Drive
239 Howe-Russell
Louisiana State University
Baton Rouge, LA 70803

The PMAC shelter on LSU’s campus is housing special needs victims displaced during the hurricane. They need medical supplies including toiletries for basic hygiene.
St. Vincent DePaul Church already has a lot of clothes, but they desperately need consumables such as baby pull-ups, baby formula, diapers, wipes, and toiletries including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, a...

Birthdays are very important to me. Yes, Freud and friends, it all did start as I was a child...my mother made a huge deal out of birthdays. She is so cool, she would call in sick to work, then call me in sick to school and then we would spend all day together, each birthday, doing whutever the hell i wanted to do.
So it's mine and Julie's birthday this weekend...ISH...
and we're going to Myrna's...
To anyone from Alaska that will mean something...

But the point of this slighty beyond sober post is that i recently discovered (quiet haphazardly) that I am about to be the next inductee to an about seven-year old tradtion in Anchorage AK, -- I guess this dude named Uncle Pervy (Kasey somebody or other) started this tradition where upon someone's twenty-third birthday they get the nastiest, most unuseful sex toy their friends can aquire. I think so far they're trying to beat giving the big group homophobe a blow-up sheep with Altoids shoved up the "who's your daddy?" if you catch my drift...
but really I'm intrigued,...beacuse I wonder if they can find such toy that is so nasty I WONT USE IT. *wink* i mean...THAT's GROSS. I REALLY GOT TO FIND BETTER, KINDER, STRAIGHTER-EDGE FRIENDS...
i'm gonna go before i get itno too much trouble on here.

the winds of change are blowing

without particular direction or design

and somedays lately it seems like the wind smells of roses and sucess for my future and yet other moments it seems like the smell of farts and not the funny ha ha kind but the oh my god grandma just passed out kind.

but change is coming

for the last four years it has been my goal to use my college education to get just ONE full time job (instead of working two jobs AND going to school). now i'm graduated and work three jobs, none of which is really related to my degree (although i know that sounds funny since i majored in anthropology and you would think "so anything that has ANYTHING to do with HUMANS is technically anthropological"

i'm not bithcing tho, my job at the morgue rocks. and both the comic book shop and the video rental store are easy as pie. i can't believe they give me money to just hang out and talk to people about comic heroes and old movies.

and even when those two get stressful, at the morgue i never have to deal with bitchy customers. nope, they're all pretty patient by the time they get to me...(tee hee).

damn, i just spilled my rum. don't tell Monty or Adam...they'll put my ass in a sling. this is a capital offense and all the more worse since ...well, i am a professional (insert shameless Hunter s. Thompson reference here).

in other news...those windy changes...I"M MOVING TO LOUSIANNA...and if i don't melt within the first week down there (i am an Alaska girl, you see) I'll take it as a sign that yes, i can and will preservere, and this is all worth it. I have to keep telling myself that. plus, it'll be fun. I've been checking out the local paper there online to see what shows and bands are there abouts...and i have no earthly idea what zydeco (or whatever) is, but i think it's a type of jazz and i can't wait to see it.

phew... this is the longest message i've ever put on dev art. but it's like speaking to many people completely in private. i may have more i to confide in all you strangers. it offers ...a secure personal ventilation...if you will?...

to the fridge! the rum is gone...but Jager hasn't taken the hint yet, and Adam's christmas bottle will be none the wiser...
