The Slightly Damned Plushification Project on Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1858050352/slightly-damneds-plushification-project) was a runaway success! Wow!  Thanks to everyone's generosity, no fewer than 6 Slightly Damned plushies have been completely funded.  I can't wait to get my mitts on all those Buwaro, Rhea, Kieri, Sakido, Iratu, and Crunky dolls!  It will take a few more months for all of them to be completed, of course, but you can expect to see them all on sale by early 2014.

First, some bad news: I can't afford to make the plushies right now.  Thanks for all the interest you showed, though!  I'm not going to give up on them forever.  Slightly Damned simply needs to become a lot more popular before I can afforrd to make them.  It would really suck if I paid the thousands of dollars necessary to get them produced only to discover I couldn't make that money back.  The good news is that if I DO make plushies, it's more cost-effective to make ALL THREE instead of just one.  So if Slightly Damned has become more successful in about a year's time... we'll see!

The gist of it is that I'm going to move from Japan back to the United States, and then I'm going to move from my hometown to a new state.  It's going to be pretty crazy and soon I'm not going to have a lot of time to draw!  But after my moves are completed, I'll have all the time in the world.  At least, that's what I'm hoping.

Production will not actually begin until 50 figurines have been pre-ordered.

Some people have been saying that they will only order a figurine once they're able to see it.  That's a reasonable expectation, but it will be a while before we get to see the prototype figurine.  They will only make the figurine after 50 pre-orders have been taken so that they can make up the cost of production and make bit of a profit.  Alternatively, I could pay $500 out of my pocket to have the figurine done in advance, but uh... I'll pass.

The Rhea figurine is now available for pre-order!  Essentially you are buying the figure in advance.  There will only be enough of them made for all the pre-orders (whoops, I don't actually know that for sure yet), and it takes at least 50 pre-orders for them to actually make the figure.  No orders, no figure.

Note: I didn't set the price, so don't try to negotiate with me about it.  I did set the height of the figure at 4", though.  She's kind of short because I'd like to do slightly taller figures of Buwaro and Kieri in the future... IF this experiment with Rhea is successful.
