Jason was cornered at the end of the aforementioned alley, pressed against the wall, when a portal opened behind him. He soon found himself in the Digital World.

At first, it seemed like a normal forest on Earth. Then, he saw his first digimon- Docremon. Not only that, but when he looks down at his wrist, he finds red watch-like has appeared there. When a large, dinosaur digimon appears and begins to attack them, he uses his new 'D-4' to become a digimon, Shoreenamon, a red, dog-like digimon, standing at about three feet tall.

Jason somehow knew what to do, and with a couple of quick attacks, finished off the attacking digimon. This started a journey that lasted for more than four years. A journey to save the digital world.
